Recap: The guys fall for the girls prank. In return, they go to each girls room, bothering them. AK get close. Kripa finds out tht Angad is not bad. P & M relationship is still sour. Sujal is concerned about Kashish's eating habits.
Part 26
Later on tht day (in college):
All the guys and girls headed to the class they all had together, the class in which the infamous paper was due. It was 10 min before class was scheduled to start and almost everyone was there except for laksh and kt. Laksh came striding down from the right side while kt came walking down the left side, shuffling her papers. As Laksh approached, kt looked up and immediately felt butterflies in her stomach as she stared into his clear blue eyes.
L: Hey
Kt: hi'.
They just stared at each other for a couple of seconds, not knowing wut to say.
L: ummm thanks (holds up his ppr) ' for helping me with this
Kt: Oh- sure no problem it was my pleasure. I hope u do good
L: I'm sure if you've helped me (gazing intently at her face) there's no doubt that I'll do great.
Kt turned a little, unable to hide a smile. Laksh saw tht and grinned, crossing his arms. As this little intimacy was going on, someone yelled 'Laksh!' 'Laksh!'
Both Laksh and Kt turned to look behind laksh, to the source of the voice. Saniya came walking down the hallway, wearing a black tank top and dark blue jeans, looking excited. She walked right up to laksh and hugged him. Laksh was surprised a bit. He put his hands up and looked from saniya, who had her arms around him and head against his chest, to kt, who was looking at both laksh and saniya. Saniya straightened up and said:
S: so, did my notes help u yesterday?
Laksh looked at kt, who looked a bit hurt.
L: Um-well, actually-
S: Ugh! Chodo in sab bato ko. So we're suppose to be going to dinner tonight rt? Just u and me?
Kt cleared her throat a bit. Laksh looked at her.
Kt: ummmm I have to go. I'll catch u guys later.
L: wait Kt! He raised his hand to stop her. Too late. She already went into the classroom.
S: Oh come on laksh, let her go! Saniya said, taking his arm and turning him to face her. Now answer me! We're going tonight rt?
L: uh-I- I- can't talk rt now, he turned to leave.
S: Laksh! She grabbed his arm
L: Saniya plz! He yanked her hand off of his arm and looked at her, his expression a mix of anger and annoyance. I don't have time tonight ok? Actually, u kno wut? He looked towards the classroom, thinking of every moment he had spent with kt, last night, this morning and every other time. I dont think I will have time. Ever. Bye Saniya. He gave her her notes and left Saniya looking annoyed and went into the class.
Laksh stepped into class and looked towards Kt's seat. She wasn't there'he spotted her just a few steps away from him to his right. He saw tht she was covering her face with her books, her cheeks a bit red. At tht moment, laksh felt rly bad, for hurting kt, for making those valuable tears shed from her beautiful eyes'
He walked up to her, grabbed her arm and pushed her against the wall, his own 2 hands preventing her from escaping. Kt's books fell and she looked at Laksh in shock.
Kt: Laksh?.........
L: Kt, woh kya tha huh? Tum yahan kyun chali aayi?
Kt: Main woh'. I had work to do. She wiped the few tears from her eyes and straightened up. Kyun? Tumhe mujhse kya matlab? You were talking to Saniya!
Matlab hai Kt'.matlab hai. He thinks
L: So what if I was talking to Saniya? You could've stayed there! Its obvious that u had no work to do! He said, pointing at her books strewn across the floor.
Kt: What was I going to do in the middle of 2 people discussing there plans? Oh and by the way, have a great dinner with Saniya! She said angrily and pushed his hand away so she could bend down to get her books.
Laksh bent down also and said quietly, we're not going to dinner. He picked up some of her papers. Kt looked at him, then snatched her papers. Laksh looked at her in surprise.
Kt: Well then, have fun doing whatever else you guys are doing tonight or whenever.
With that she got up and started walking back to her seat when laksh caught her arm and pulled her towards him.
L: Saniya and I aren't doing anything tonight. Or ever, if you want to know. I nvr had any feelings for her. I never went out with her and never will!
Kt: Oh'. Kt felt embarrassed'.and relieved! And then she said' Why r u telling me all this?
L: Because you were accusing me of something u didn't understand!
Kt: Sorry, I just thought'
L: Shhh'nahin kuch mat khena, don't say anything. Don't even think that way about me with another girl. Because the only girl I ever had feelings for is-
Professor: Class, plz take out your papers and pass them up!
Kt and laksh went bak to their seats on the opposite sides of the room. Laksh was really disappointed. Da*n! He said as he took his seat beside Angad.
While Lkt are talking the other couples hadn't noticed at all. They were in a world of their own. Here's what happened. (girls side of the room):
Anjali yawned.
A: I'm soooooooooooo tired. She stretched her arms out. That stupid Kavya!
K: Kavya huh? She smiled. What did he do?
Anjali gave Kripa an annoyed look. He bothered me of course! Wut else? You know wut Kripa, its all ur fault!
K: What? How is this my fault? She looked taken aback.
A: I thought it was u banging on my door, for makeup or something, so u could look nice for ur sweetu angad! But I open the door thinking its u and lo and be hold I see Kavya!
Anjali thought back to this morning, how Kavya looked standing outside her door'.and smiled a bit.
K: Y in the world would I get up early to look good for him? She said defensively, blushing, hoping Angad wouldn't hear. Besides it was ur plan to set their alarms in the first place! Not mine!
M: You guys plz! Just stop okay? We're all tired.
Kripa bent over and looked at the guys side of the room expectantly. At tht moment Angad caught her looking so he bent over, looked directly into her eyes and winked. Kripa straightened up and blushed. Angad smiled, then went bak to his convo with his brothers about everything tht happened this morning (except for the intimate parts, tht they kept to themselves)
Kashish asked Mukti to help her study, so both sisters indulged themselves on different philosophical theories for Kashish's test. A while later, Mukti dropped Kashish's pen.
M: Oops! Sry! I'll get that.
Just then she heard laughter ring out from the other side. She turned to the direction of the sound and saw prem laughing, but he was facing straightforward, not at her. Still, Mukti narrowed her eyes at him, picked up the pen and thought kahin yeh mere pe to nahin has raha? Oh great, I just embarrassed myself in front of HIM! And turned slightly pink.
Couple of seconds later, Kt came and placed her books on the table and sat beside Kripa. Kripa smiled at her, then looked at the professor. Kt smiled back then opened her notes and thought The only person he's ever had feelings for- is who? Kaun ho sakti hai woh?....
Meanwhile, laksh slammed his books on the table and muttered da*n! He took his seat and thought Itna acha moment tha! Sab bighar gaya! Yeh professor ka toh main kya karun! Freakin idiot! When am I going to get a chance to tell her that the only person I've ever cared for is her?! Laksh looked at Angad wondering y he hadn't said anything. Apparently Angad was too busy staring at Kripa, thinking she looks so pretty when she smiles'.
Couple of hrs later it was time for lunch. Kt was sitting in the dining hall at an isolated table in the center, lost in her thoughts with a book tht her friend had given her laying open in front of her. Just then someone pulled out a chair beside her and sat down. It was kashish. She looked at Kt and snapped her fingers in front of Kt's face.
Ks: hello? Anyone there?
Kt got startled: Kashish! Oh tum ne toh mujhe dara hi diya!
Ks: Kyun kis ke khayalon main koi hui thi huh? Kashish raised her eyebrows and pushed her sister playfully.
Kt: koi nahin! She beamed widely.
Ks: hey you're reading the same thing again? That book of stories tht Rajji (kt's friend) gave u long time ago? Which one are u reading? She peaked over and smiled. Hmmmmm Radha and kisna ki kahani huh? Lagta hai kisi ko'.
Kt: Oh shut up Kashish! Aisa kuch nahin hai! Waise bhi, I can say the same thing about u. What was going on this morning at the table huh?
Kashish had a flashback of this morning when sujal had made an omelette, toast and coffee, especially for her. Everyone was laughing at him. It was his first time cooking. He had looked up the recipie for an omelette off the internet! Kashish had only eaten half of it until he sat down beside her and spooned her the other half. He remained sitting next to her the whole time she was eating. Everyone had left so it was Sujal who took Kashish to college with him. Then' he'd also told her he'd take her out to lunch today' Oh no! Thought Kashish, I was suppose to meet him 5 mins ago!
Ks: Omg! I just remembered something! Kt I have to go!
Kt: Hey but you didn't answer me!
Ks: Sorry, I'll answer later ok? Bye! She grabbed her bag and was heading out of the hall when Mukti and Kripa walked in talking animatedly.
M: Hey where are u going? How was ur test?
Ks: Good! I'll explain later! And she disappeared out the door.
Mukti and kripa looked at one another and shrugged, taking seats beside Kt.
Kt: I'm rly tired u guys, can u wake me up when its time to go?
M & K: Sure
Kt: Thanks' she said and drifted off to sleep on top of her book. This is the dream she had:

'Kt' 'Kt'
Kt opened her eyes and saw mukti shaking her and calling her name.
M: Get up. It's time to go to your next class.
Kt yawned and sat up, smiling thinking of her dream. She opened her pocketbook and chkd the mirror, fixing her hair and such. Mukti and kripa were busy sharing notes. Just then, in the mirror, kt saw a handsome young guy with blue eyes leaning against the door, a sly smile on his face wink at her. 'Laksh!' Kt gasped, turning around to look at the door. But there was no one there' she looked bak at the mirror' no one'then bak at the door..
Kt: Uff, main bhi na! she exclaimed to herself, hitting her head with her hand. She got up, said her byes and walked off, quickly chking near the door and behind it just in case.
During the time tht most of the girls met at lunch, Anjali had just gotten out of her public speaking class and was making her way to the dining hall. She was walking quickly down the long set of steps outside as she got out of the building (since diff. classes r held in diff. buildings in college). A guy in a long black overcoat was heading up the stairs to tht building and bumped into Anjali, hard. Anjali's books and bag flew out of her hands and down the steps. Anjali herself lost her balance and fell down a couple of steps, landing on her right foot. Anjali screamed in pain. The guy stared wide-eyed at Anjali, smirked, then ran off without a word. A couple of girls ran up to Anjali and asked if she was okay. 2 of them ran off to the medical center to get some help. Soon, a large crowd had gathered around Anjali, while others just took a peek and walked by.
In the next building, Princeton Hall, Kavya was walking out of class, scratching his head while looking at his calculus test. 'Ugh! Why did I even take this course? He muttered. A couple of girls walked by talking rather loudly.
'Omg I know! It's horrible I feel so bad!'
'She's screaming in pain outside right now'
'I rly hope she's ok, plus she's new here and for this to happen''
Kavya heard this part of their conversation and yelled 'Hey what happened outside?'
Girl #1: A girl fell down the steps of Radley Hall. I think she might've broken or sprained something' she's in so much pain'
K: Do u kno who she is?
Girl #1: No.. she's one of the new girls, u kno those sisters tht came into school? Ummm' I think her name starts with'.A?
K: Anjali!!!
Girl #1: Yea..I guess'
But Kavya didn't even wait for the girl to finish, he sprinted out the moment he realized it was Anjali. He took a shortcut, an inner passageway between the 2 buildings. Soon enough, he was at the top of the stairs. He heard Anjali scream. He shouted bak vry loudly ANJALI!! He ran down the steps and kneeled beside Anjali, his arm around her shoulder.
K: Anjali! Anjali! R u okay? Wut happen? Someone get help!!!
A: Ahhhhhhhh Kavya it hurts!
K: Wut hurts? Where?
A: My foot'and my ankle.. she said pointing down to her right foot. Kavya touched it. Ahhhh Anjali yelped.
A guy came running and yelled, there's no one in the medical building! They're all out. There's only the receptionist but she cant do anything. Kavya became furious at this.
K: Da*n it! Wut kind of college is this? No medical help when its needed so badly?
A: Kavya plz help! Anjali cried.
K: Don't worry. We'll get u hlp. If the doctor cant come here then we'll go to him! And with tht Kavya carefully lifted Anjali up into his arms.
A: Kavya' she whispered, surprised, looking at him. Kavya made no response. Instead, he was busy trying to push his way out of the crowd.
Finally, he made it to the parking lot. Anjali continued to stare into his eyes. His expression held a bit of anger but also overwhelming concern. She reached out to touch his face, slowly. He looked down at her. Quickly, she took her hand away. Kavya unlocked the passenger door and put Anjali in.
K: Don't worry Anjali, I'm here now, everything will be ok'
Later in Angad's car:
Kripa was looking out the window, tears slowly rolling down her cheeks. Angad was driving. He kept turning to look at Kripa and trying to comfort her.
A: Kripa, don't worry everything will be fine. I'm sure it's just a sprain or a small fracture. Nothing to worry about. She'll be okay.
Kripa didn't respond. She continued to look out the window. Angad stopped at a red light. Now he turned himself and his full attention towards kripa.
A: Kripa. Kripa look here. Kripa still didn't respond so he took his hand, placed it under her chin and turned her face toward him. Kripa maine kaha na? There's nothing to worry about? Anjali will be fine. She's strong. Plz don't cry. I can't bear seeing u cry, I just can't, he said, brushing her tears away with his fingers. Kripa continued staring at him and he at her. Then he leaned over and kissed her cheek. Kripa was shocked.
K: A-Angad?
Angad was extremely close to her face now.
A: haa kripa, jo maine us din kahaa tha woh such tha. I love u kripa.
Kripa felt a strong sense of elation inside, enough to wipe away the sadness tht had clouded her thoughts and replaced her frown with a smile. Seeing her face Angad smiled too and both of them hugged. I love you too she said. A couple of seconds later a horn beeped startling them both. They disentangled themselves and Angad started driving, smiling, looking at Kripa every so often. Kripa looked the other way out the window, blushing, trying to hide her smile. But Angad could see her curved lips anyway, so he knew.
Sujal and Kashish walked into the restaurant. (He'd taken her to an Indian restaurant) They took a moment to gaze around. Kashish was staring at the masala dosa tht was in the display thing (sry don't know wut its called) and Sujal was trying to look for an empty table. Finally he spotted one.
S: Ka- he began but stopped after seeing Kashish's expression. He followed her gaze to the dosa, then looked bak at her and smiled.
At this point, Kashish's mouth was watering and she was thinking Omg Masala Dosa! It's been ages since I've had tht! I love it so much! I remember when my sisters and I would fight to get the most when we were little'I want it.. but..I have to let Sujal choose wut he wants'afterall he's the one who brought me here'
Sujal cleared his throat. Kashish looked at him and gave him a polite smile.
S: Let's go to tht table over there he said, pointing to an isolated corner where there was a little empty round table for two.
K: Okay, I'll go freshen up and see you there.
S: Sure! Sujal smiled, knowing she forgot to ask him something.
Kashish started walking and couple of seconds later, realized she had no clue where she was going. She turned pink from embarrassment and spun bak around but didn't see Sujal. She looked around and spotted him at the little table. She walked up to him. He had a menu in front of his face so she could not see him beaming widely. He slowly put down the menu and acted surprised.
S: Wow! You're back already? I thought you would take forever! Thank God u didn't. come sit he said, gesturing toward the chair across from him.
K: Ummm actually Sujal'I kind of don't know where the rest room is'
S: Oh' he said, pretending to be a bit disappointed. It's down there to your right, he said, pointing to the direction.
K: Thanks she mumbled and walked away.
When he was sure she was out of earshot, Sujal burst out laughing.
S: Hah! I knew she forgot to ask me tht! He sighed. Girls! He said and laughed some more
'Ahem Ahem.' Sujal turned around. A waitress was tapping her foot impatiently and was standing there with a pen and a little notepad, looking at sujal. 'Are u ready to order sir?'
S: Ah-uh-yea, yea he said, straightening himself.
5 mins later kashish came and sat down.
S: Done?
K: yup!
S: good
K: So'wut did u order?
S: thts a surprise
K: Oh plz! Its just food. Tell me wut it is.
S: Patience my darling patience. Patience is a virtue u kno.
Kashish rolled her eyes
S: It should be coming'.(he looked at his watch)'.now!
The food came in nice decorative plates and trays.
K: Oh my gosh! Kashish exclaimed upon seeing wut it was. Sujal! This'
S: is wut u wanted rt?
K: Yes but how did u'?
S: Well I saw u looking at it intensly so I figured u liked it. It's actually one of my favorites too. I was thinking of ordering it even before I saw u looking at it!
K: Wow! Wut a coincidence! We both have the same favorite food!
Sujal smiled seeing her bright face and said Yep! Almost as if it were meant to be' he thought.
K: What?
S: what?
K: did u say something?
S: No'
K: oh'weird.. I thought u did' and shook her head and ate
S: No I didn't say anything, he said relieved. Phew! That was close! He thought.
Mukti was walking out of her class. She'd heard tht Anjali had gotten injured but didn't have a chance to talk to her, until now. She was rly worried. Thts nvr happened to her before'she's always careful' she thought. As she was walking down the hallway, she heard a stern voice from behind.
'Mukti'
Mukti stopped. Her heart skipped a beat.
'Mukti'
Mukti stood there motionless. Fear and panic beginning to take over every inch of her body. That voice'oh no'it can't be'I thought I ran away frm it'so I''d nvr hear it again' she thought, feeling as if the world was over. She closed her eyes please no' please don't let it be' she prayed internally.
'Turn around'
Mukti opened her eyes and slowly turned around.
