@ Everyone - thanks... i'm updating now... sorry if the updates r sorta irregular but it's coz i am busy updating this fic on orkut as well.

Unlike most of the times, instead of a guy and a girl staying awake to meet each other, there were 2 guys and 2 girls who decided to sneak out. And co-incidentally, these 2 guys were together in one room and the two girls in another. So, once everyone was asleep, one of the girls and one of the guys crept out of their respective rooms after fluffing up their beds so as to not draw any suspicion.

The first couple to meet each other, the ones who had fluffed the beds, was none other than Rajveer and Naina. The two of them had decided to sneak out for some private time alone when everyone was asleep and met up on the terrace where a slight wind was blowing. Naina had been waiting for a few minutes now, standing in her night clothes covered by a white silk robe staring up at the stars and the moon when suddenly she felt a pair of hands slide around her waist, pulling her into his arms.

"Raj…"

"Hmm…"

"Chaand kitni sundar dikh rahi hai, haina?" She asked him.

Rajveer let go of Naina's waist, held her hand and turned her around to face him. He looked at Naina and then without even bothering to spare a glance at the moon said, "Chaand toh sundar hoga, lekin tum toh chaand se bhi zyada khoobsurat ho… itni khoobsurat ki chaand ki roshni bhi tumhaare saamne pheeki lage…"

"Accha, itni filmy kabse ban gaye ho Raj?" Naina asked him.

"Jabse tum meri zindagi mein aaye ho, tabse… samjhi?"

"Haan… Raj, ek baat poochun?"

"Kyun nahi, poocho…" Rajveer tells her.

"Agar meri sagai kal nahi ho rahi thi, par meri shaadi ho rahi thi aur bhaiya ke jagah par tum wahan aate toh tum sabke saamne kya mujhse apna pyaar ka izhaar karte?" She asked.

"……….."

"Raj… mujhe pata hai yeh bahut ajeeb sawal hai, par please… kuch toh kaho…" Naina said almost whispering. She felt scared, as if she shouldn't have said anything.

"Naina, of course main sabke saamne tumse I love you kehkar tumhe mandap se utha kar yahan chala aata… chahe mujhe kitni bhi goli kyun nahi lagi ho, chahe mujhe kitni bhi gehri zakhm kyun na ho, main tumhe zaroor leke aata…" He said smiling at her.

"Itna pyaar karte ho mujhse?" Naina asked him.

"Of course jaan, main maut ko harakar sirf tumhaare liye waapis aaya, warna main toh kab ka…." His sentence is left hanging mid-way as Naina puts her hand over his mouth clearly looking disturbed.

"Raj! Khabardar jo tumne aisi baat dobara kahi… main tumhe ek baar kho chuki hoon… ab tumhe kuch ho jaata hai toh is baar main seh nahi paoongi… humein kuch nahi hoga, humesha saath rahenge… ok?"

"Ok baba, I'm sorry… mujhe woh sab kehna nahi chahiye tha…" Rajveer said to her.

"It's alright."

"Good then, mujhe ek kiss de do…"

"Kya?"

"Kiss me Naina…"

"Yahan?"

"Kyun? Yahan par kya problem hai?"

"Kuch nahi, par…"

Before Naina could say a word more, Rajveer had already pressed his lips against hers and soon they were locked in a deep kiss.

When they broke apart, Naina hugged Rajveer and she saw something moving down in the garden near the big tree.

"Raj… niche garden mein maine kisi ko dekha…"

"Kya? Kisse dekhi?"

"Pata nahin, shayad who do log the…"

"What are you saying ki raat ke 1 baje humaare sivay aur bhi koi jag raha hai?"

"It is possible."

"Ruko, let me have a look."

Rajveer goes to the edge of the balcony, hold the railing and looks down into the garden, and surely he too sees something moving near the trees… he beckons Naina to come closer and the two of them try to make out who was it that was awake so late at night.

"Do log hai, lekin kaun hai dekh nahi sakte…" Rajveer told Naina.

"If only they moved towards the moonlight, shayad tab hum kuch dekh paate…" Naina said.

It was as if what she said decided to come true that very moment for as soon as Naina finished saying that, the two people standing in the garden near the trees moved a little bit and the moonlight cast its glow on them. It was a guy and a girl, holding hands and whispering to each other. Naina couldn't make out who they were, but one glance at the faces was enough for Rajveer to decipher who the couple was.

"Oh-ho, toh yeh do hai jo aadhi raat ko kamre se bahar garden mein chupke se mil rahe hai…" Rajveer said smiling to himself.

"Kaun hai? Tum unhe pehchaan gaye?"

"Hmm, pehchaana toh sahi lekin ab tum dekho ki kaun hai wahan…"

"Raj, ab batao bhi na, kaun hai?"

"Aalekh aur Neelu…."

"What???" Naina exclaimed in surprise.

"Haan, gaur se dekho… dono lovebirds wahan hi khade hai"

"Haan Raj, woh Aalekh aur Neelu hi hai… par itni raat ko?" Naina asked.

"Jaise hum ek dusre se milne aaye hai, shayad lagta hai ki yeh do bhi chup kar garden mein milne ka plan banaya tha…" He explained to her.

"Oh… toh yeh do ab humaare tarah sochne lage hai… chalo kamre mein chalte hai, isse phele ki woh pahunch jaaye…"

"Haan chalo…"

So, Rajveer and Naina leave the terrace and go back to their respective rooms but not before Rajveer get's his goodnight kiss from Naina. After about ten minutes, Naina notices Neelu entering the room quietly and going off to sleep soundly. Naina smiles into her pillow and soon is fast asleep. The next morning, everyone has gotten up early so that they all are fresh and ready in time to welcome the minister and Sameera. By 7:30 a.m. everyone was done with breakfast and shower and they all were waiting in the hall for the minister to arrive. At 7:55 a.m. Gunny and Abhimanyu went outside the chalet and stood waiting for the car to arrive. Shortly, they saw a jeep coming up the slope followed by a car; the minster and his daughter had arrived.

The front of the car opened and out came a heavily armed guard who opened the back door for the minister. The minister and his daughter stepped out of the car; Gunny and Abhimanyu came forward to greet them.

"Mr. Shroff, welcome, I hope aapka safar accha tha?" Gunny says to the minster coming forward to shake hands.

"Ji Major, safar accha tha… lekin kya main jaan sakta hoon ki aap sab yeh jagah par kyun there ho?" Mr. Shroff asks.

"Woh baat yeh hai sir, ki Rajveer aur Navin ki protection ke liye, humein ek secluded area ki zaroorat thi, aur jahan tak saare Ambala ko pata hai, yeh jagah ab ek khali, toota hua bunglow hai… isliye humne yahan par apna headquarters banaya hai…" Abhimanyu tells Mr. Shroff.

"Oh, tab toh yeh jagah perfect hai…"

"Thank you sir… baaki sab andar baithe hai… shall we go in?" Gunny says.

"Of course, Sameera… chalo."

Sameera, who had been unpacking the bags from the car trunk turned around and came to where her father was waiting for her. She saw Gunny and Abhimanyu standing with her father and smiled at them.

"Yes dad… main bas bags nikaal rahi thi…" She told him.

"Good, aap Major's se mile?"

"Hello Sameera…" Abhimanyu said.

"Hello Major."

'Kaisi ho, Sameera?" Gunny asked her.

"Fine…"

"Okay, so ab andar chalke baaki sabse milte hai…"

The four of them go inside the chalet while the guards remove the remainder of the luggage and follow them behind. Gunny and Abhimanyu lead Sameera and Mr. Shroff to the hall where everyone stands up to meet them. Rajveer and Navin are the first to be greeted by the minister.

"Ah, Major Rajveer Singh Shekhawat and Major Naveen Singh Alhuwalia… finally aapse mulakaat ho rahi hai… it's a pleasure to meet you." Mr. Shroff said to them.

"Thank you sir, aapse milke hum bahut khush hue…" Navin tells him.

"Thank you sir." Rajveer says.

"Major's, inse milo, yeh hai meri beti… Sameera."

"Hello Sameera…"

"Hi…"

After the introductions were over, the minister and Sameera were shown into the den where they all took their seats. Gunny, Abhiamnyu, Rajveer and Navin sat facing the minister while Sameera was busy getting reacquainted with Naina, Neelu, Pooja, Ali, Huda, Yudi and Aalekh and getting introduced to Sherry. Roma and Shalini had gone into the kitchen to get some refreshments for their guests and when they returned, one of the minister's guards gave Shalini a letter saying it was from KMA.

"KMA se letter?" Roma asked.

"Hmm… Brigadier humse kya kehna chahenge? Function toh do din baad hai, shayad kuch changes hua ho… main yeh letter Raj ko deti hoon." Shalini said.

They go into the den where the five men were sitting and talking to each other about something important. It seemed that Mr. Shroff was aware that his and Sameera's life was at stake for he was now holding out a slip of paper which was taken by Gunny.

"Yeh toh koi message hai…" Gunny said.

"Haan, mujhe yeh kagaaz kal raat mili jab main Delhi se nikal raha tha…"

"Kya likha hai Gunny?" Navin asked.

"It's been cut out from magazines I think… likha hai ki,

'ManTri Ji, AgaR aaPko apNi jaAn pyaAri hai aur AapKi beTi ki Bhi toH aMbaLa Mat jao… Aur KMa se Door RAho…'"

"Hmm, toh yeh baat hai… Sir, aapki aur Sameera ki jaan sach mein khatre mein hai. Do din baad jab aap KMA mein function ke liye aayenge, tab aap par hamla ho sakta hai…" Rajveer tells him.

"Mujhe pata hai, aise dhamkiyaan bahut aate hai, aur kaafi bahut sach bhi ho jaate hai, par ab tak bhagwan ki kripa se mujhe kuch nahi hua hai."

"Lekin is baar shayad kuch ho sakta hai…" Abhimanyu said.

"Kya matlab hai aapka, Major Abhimanyu?"

"Umm, dekhiye sir, is baar aap KMA mein honge… aur saath mein do bade mashoor officers bhi honge jinhe aap facilitate karoge… toh isse behar mauka ho hi nahi sakta hai… humein kisi bhi tarah se iss khatre se aapko bachana hai…" Abhiamnyu told the minister.

"hmm, shayad aap theek keh rahe ho Major. Arre, Dr. Shalini, Miss Roma… aap wahan kyun khade ho? Baithiye please."

"Thank you sir, par mujhe sirf ek minute ke liye Major Rajveer se baat karni hai…" Dr. Shalini says.

"Sure of course, Major."

Rajveer gets up and goes over to one corner with Shalini, who gives him the letter that was supposedly from KMA. Rajveer opens the letter and after reading it, he is surprised.

"Raj? Is everything alright?" She asked him.

"Not really Doc, B.C ka chitti hai…"

"Toh? Kya likha hai?"

"Brigadier ne likhe hai ki jo function parso hone waala tha woh ab kal hone waala hai…"

"Kya?" Shalini exclaimed in shock.

"Haan yahi likha hai, khud dekho..."

Shalini reads the letter which clearly states that Brigadier Chandok has changed the function date from the 24th to the 23rd.

"Par Rajveer, 23rd toh kal hai..."

"Haan..."

"Toh ab....?"

"Ab... humein kuch karna hoga..."

"Kya?"

"......."

Silence prevails between the two of them for a few minutes.... both of them were unaware that Navin had overheard them talking. When he heard that the dates had been changed, he had smiled thinking that there wouldn't be any danger to Mr. Shroff and Sameera now.... until he remembered...

"Uh-oh... ghar ke saare rooms mein toh bugs fitted hai, kya terrorists ne sab sun liya?"

Somewhere a couple of miles away, in a dark room... four people were standing in front of what looked like a black box.... one of them was listening through a headphone and when he heard the recent conversation, he turned the black box off before he heard Navin's voice and turned to face the person sitting on a high chair stroking a cat.

"Sir, humein abhi abhi khabar mili hai ki KMA ka function ab 24th ko nahi, balki 23rd ko hone waala hai... jo kal hai..."

"Very good... ab jao aur jaake sabko yeh khabar de do.... Kanchenjunga Military Academy par hamla kal subah ko hoga...."

"Ji sir..."

The man left the room, leaving the three people alone in the darkness. one of them turned a light on and the chair and the cat was lit up... the person sitting on it was hidden in the shadows... he smiled and continued to stroke the cat...

"Ab mazaa aayega... kal ka din bahut hi mazedaar hone waala hai..."

Back at the chalet, Rajveer and Shalini go back to their seats. Navin had also resumed his seat before Rajveer came back and he was now whispering something to Abhimanyu who tried his best to keep his face straight. Mr. Shroff was talking to Naina and Roma at the moment, discussing something about the function. Rajveer cleared his throat and decided it was best to make the announcement now itself.

"Umm, mujhe abhi abhi ek khabar mili hai… KMA se Brigadier Chandok ka letter aaya tha…" He began to say.

"Letter? Kaunsa letter sir?" Huda asked.

"Brigadier ne likha hai ki parso jo function hone waala tha woh ab kal hoga."

"Kya? Kal? Par hum sab itni jaldi sab kuch kaise sab taiyaar karenge?" Yudi asked.

"Don't worry Yudi, hum sab kuch theek samay par kar lenge… abhi toh sirf 9 baje hai… poora din hai…" Naina told him.

"Naina's right. Mr. Shroff, Sameera… aap dono ko thodi der ke liye aaram karna chahiye, hum sab tab tak kaam shuru karte hai…" Gunny said.

"Theek hai, Sameera… tum upar aa rahi ho?" Mr. Shroff asked.

"Ji dad."

Gunny takes Mr. Shroff and Sameera upstairs. He shows Mr. Shroff his room and then leads Sameera to her room.

"Yeh Naina ka kamra hai… Naina ke saath Neelu bhi yahan so rahi thi, lekin ab aaj subah ko usne Sherry ke saath room swap kiye, so I'm sure tum Sherry aur Naina ke saath comfortably rahogi."

"Haan, mujhe koi problems nahi hai… thanks Gunny."

"My pleasure."

"Umm, kya main kuch pooch sakti hoon?"

"Sure, go ahead."

"Kya iss baar bhi mujhe ek bodyguard ki zaroorat padegi?"

"Haan shayad… aisa hi lagta hai… tumhe aur Mr. Shroof dono ko iss baar bhi kaafi security ki zaroorat padegi."

"Oh… toh kaun hoga mera bodyguard?"

"Pata nahin, Raj aur Navin in sab ke baare mein kuch der mein faisla karenge… but I'm sure ki woh jisse bhi chune, tumhe poori tarah se protect karega… after all minister ki beti bhi important hai…"

"Right. Waise mujhe lagta hai ki iss baar mujhe mera purana bodyguard hi milega… at least yeh toh main chahti hoon…"

A minute of silence prevails between the two of them. After no one breaks the silence, Sameera decides that she should do it.

"Ah, I think mujhe ab thodi der ke liye rest karna chahiye…"

"Ok, main aur baaki sab den mein hi honge, toh agar tumhe kuch chahiye toh niche aa sakti ho…"

"Okay."

She goes inside her room and shuts the door. Gunny, meanwhile turns around to go back downstairs and as he does so he hits his head on his hand mentally telling himself how stupid he is.

"Main kitna stupid tha… Sameera ke saamne itna buddhu ke tarah behave kar raha tha… idiot… par kya main usse sach mein pyaar karta hoon? Pata nahi…"

He goes to the den and sits down. Navin and Rajveer had finished deciding what everyone was going to be doing at the function tomorrow and once Gunny came back down they began to tell them all what their duties were going to be for the function the next day.
