Part 20:
Sitting on the stool, moving her body to the beat she waited patiently for him; it was their last night in Goa and why not celebrate. Celebrate being together, celebrate life and not to forget Armaan's new job.
Flashback
That morning on the breakfast table she sat nervously waiting for him to come back from the washroom, a bunch of papers lay in front of her where Armaan sat; gulping she played with the napkin. 'ahh why am I so nervous?? He's going to say yes'. Still.. ohh the nerves'' seeing him sit down beside her she gave a faint smile, 'kya hua?' pushing the papers towards him, he looked at her confused, she looked down at the papers and back up at him. Shrugging his shoulders he picked up the papers and read, as she sat looking on.
He looked up with a smile at her, and she let out a sigh of relief; 'is that a yes?' 'always' but yeh kaise?' 'well' remember when I was looking for applicants for neurosurgeon position at the hospital and I said I found the 'person'' it was you'' 'and well' it took so long because I wanted to make sure you'd say yes' and you'd stay here with all of us'' 'ridz why did you ever think I was going to leave??' she just looked at him, 'never mind' I guess this means we have to celebrate?' she gave a nod, smiling he took hold of her hand and she gave him a loving smile'
Present
'a drink for the pretty lady'' said an unfamiliar voice, looking to her side she saw a young, handsome man sitting down on the empty stool beside her; 'uhh' I don't drink'.' 'ohh' well then something else'.' She nodded her head negatively, 'well then tell me what is a beautiful lady like you doing here all by herself'' 'uhhh'.' But she was interrupted by a loud voice, 'ehh Rahul' ab kis ki saath line mar rahi ho?' she noticed him hitting his head in frustration, walking towards them a stylish, young lady dressed in blue with a cheeky smile on her face, seeing 'rahul' reaction she let out a slight chuckle.
'Don't mind him, he flirts with anything that moves'' Rahul looked up raising an eyebrow with a not very happy look, 'hi I'm Muskaan and as you guessed this duffer is Rahul'' 'hi'I'm'Riddhima'' she said with a smile to Muskaan, 'toh batao mujhe Riddhima jee'' 'jee?' she thought, 'aap yaha akele kya kar rahi ho?' said Rahul, 'woh'umm mera'. Uh' drinks'' 'ohh ok'' seating herself down beside Riddhima on another empty seat Muskaan started talking away, 'mera kya?... koi khaas?' she said winking with once again that cheeky smile, 'mera'' again interrupted by another voice, 'boyfriend'.' Feeling someones hand upon his shoulder Rahul looked up and in amazement a smile came upon his face, 'Armaan!' Muskaan stood up and let out a little scream, 'Hero!' Armaan put down the drinks while Riddhima sat looking at them confused, 'Rahul'Muski'.how.. I mean why,' here in Goa?... and together?' 'well'' they both spoke up at the same time, she pushed him aside and linked her arm with Armaan's, 'after you left' everything became so quiet and I was stuck with this' this'' they all looked eagerly at what she was going to say, 'uhh' thing' I wanted to come back to India, I mean you know home is home' yehh'.' 'haan of course par Rahul' tu yaha kyun aya? Especially Muskaan ke saath'' 'khanna ke liye'' 'khanna..' Riddhima mouthed, 'what?' 'haan' woh' Muskaan's food'' 'is all Rahul eats''said Armaan laughing, 'so you've moved here permanently'.' Well yehh' we got jobs in woh' hospital ka kya naam hain' Mumbai main?' 'Sanjeevani'' said Rahul, 'haan' we spoke to some dr Keerti' and she said kuch din main Mumbai jao aur Dr Gupta se baat karni hain' but the jobs fixed'.' Riddhima looked on with amazement, these two' were going to be at Sanjeevani, 'Dr Gupta?' Armaan asked confused looking at Riddhima, 'haan' I dunno some head or something but I spoke to her maybe a year back bahut kharoos lagti hain''said Rahul, 'kharoos'' said Riddhima out loud, Armaan laughed, 'Rahul and Muskaan meet Dr Riddhima 'Kharoos' gupta..' both Rahul and Muskaan looked at Riddhima with eyes wide open, Armaan couldn't keep laughing, 'Dr Riddhima I am so sorry' and its not like your kharoos or anything'' 'see Rahul' never assume things' useless'' 'its ok' and please just call me Riddhima' she said uncertainly, 'so guys we'll be back together huh?...' 'together?' 'haan your looking at the head of neurosurgery' he said lifting up his collar, 'wow!' 'congrats yaar''
After continuous chatting, Muskaan butted in again, 'wait' eh Armaan tumne pehle kya kiya tha' boyfriend?... tum aur Riddhima'.' 'yehh hain tumhare Riddhima?' Rahul put in, Riddhima blushed while Armaan gave a cheeky smile, taking hold of Riddhima's hand he replied, 'haan'' she also gave a little nod, 'now we will have to celebrate'' 'hmm' new friendships'new relationships' new beginnings'' put in Riddhima, 'waiter! Drinks please'' called out Rahul.
Moving to the dance floor Rahul and Armaan pulled the ladies, into the catchy beat.
