Hey guys,
This is Chapter 4, it might be a bit boring... but i tried to include a bit of medical stuff...my very bad attempt at it... 😆 😆 😆

CHAPTER 4: NEW CASES, OLD FACES!!!
Armaan walked into the seminar room, a couple of rows were already filled. As he moved forward to find seats, he was starting to feel a bit anxious.
They sat down, Armaan sat down next to Riddhima. He stared at the other 22 hopefuls in the room; Armaan could sense the tension in the atmosphere.
The subconscious mind is always awake, and unknowingly the scent of the one we are most attracted to resides in our mind.
Armaan leaned slightly towards Riddhima and sniffed.
"Jasmine" Armaan smiled to himself, Riddhima smelt like Jasmine to him.
"Did you say something?" Riddhima asked turning around to Armaan.
"Oh…err, nothing!" he said looking around, when he spotted a young doctor staring intently at Riddhima.
"Hey Ridz, is it just me or is that doctor staring at you?" Armaan whispered
She looked at where Armaan was signalling. Ridz smiled as she recognised who it was.
"Yeah… I know, that's doctor Sameer, he's a senior resident here, he is specialising in neurology"
"Oh…you seem to know a lot about him" Armaan said befuddled.
"Well even you would, if you grew up with him" She replied cheekily.
"Oh right" Armaan said turning his face towards the podium, he felt a bit jealous.

Silence swept over the room as Dr Shashank Gupta walked up to the podium; he stared at the room, where 22 eager eyes were gazing back at him, waiting for him to say something.
He was beaming at the interns, as if nothing could have pleased him more than to see them all there.
"Sanjeevani; the herb known for its remarkable resurrection capabilities. The dry plant that has been used as a working remedy for several human health complications since centuries in India. 'Sanjeevani' which translates as 'one that infuses life'
I would like to welcome you all to this medical institute; it is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our actions.
We can make our way to success only by showing an equally strong bond of friendship and trust. Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and our hearts are open.
There is much that I would like to say to you all, but I think I can see a couple of you drifting of to sleep. So I would just like to end with a thought
'To be a doctor, then, means much more than to dispense pills or to patch up or repair torn flesh and shattered minds. To be a doctor is to be an intermediary between man and God.'
Now if you all would report to your mentors; where they will brief you on your first day. If you have any problems, then apart from your mentors, you all can approach the other senior residents or even the senior surgeons… Best of luck, doctors"

All seven of them were walking towards Dr Kirti's cabin.
They were all talking animatedly with each other.
"How many times do I have to apologise Anjali?" Atul said trying to catch up with Anjali's quick pace.
"I'll tell you when you get there" Anji said rubbing her jaw, she regretted sitting next to Atul now.
"What are you two arguing about?" Riddhima asked, she looked toward Armaan to see if he knew what they were talking about.
Armaan shrugged to show he had no idea what they were talking.
"Atul elbowed me in the face" Anjali said like a little child.
"By accident!!" Atul defended himself
"I don't care, you still have a hard elbow" Anjali moaned.
This gave Atul and Anjali a whole new reason to argue, Sapna playing the moderator making sure they didn't pull each others hair out.

Armaan and Riddhima on the other hand were chatting generally
"So what medical college did you go to?" Armaan asked
"We went to St Xavier's medical college, what about you?"
"Me and Atul went to Mumbai medical college" Armaan said, he was biting his lower lip, Armaan desperately wanted to ask her about Sameer, but he couldn't muster up enough courage.
By this point they had reached Dr Kirti's cabin.

Ray was still lost in his own thoughts…
"Ray what's wrong?" Aaliyah asked disturbing his thoughts
He cursed under his breath 'ab mujhe shanti sey sochney bhi nahin deytee…kaha phas gaya mein iss churail key saath'
"Oh nothing, I was just reflecting on Dr Shashank's speech" Ray said in his normal voice.
"Yeah that was such a good speech yaar" Sapna said.
"It sounded really familiar, I think I have read it somewhere" Ray said contemplating.
"Yes, specially at the end the differences and success lines" Ali said thinking herself.
"HARRY POTTER" Ray shouted.
"That's it, it was in Harry Potter" Aaliyah said slapping her forehead.
"Haila…He stole Dumbledore's lines… no offence Anjie, Ridz" Ray said looking amused.
"Chill… it's fine" Anjie said to Ray, then she turned to Ridz
"Remember Ridz, dad use to read Harry Potter to us when we were younger"
Riddhima gasped and her eyes widened as she remembered
"So that's where dad got it from!"

"INTERNS" Dr Kirti's voice reached there ears.
They all turned around to see her there. But this time she wasn't alone, Dr Sameer was with her.
Armaan silently cursed his luck.
Whilst Sapna was gazing at him, she was thinking…
Unbelievable sights Indescribable feeling
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless diamond sky
A whole new world
Sapna closed her eyes how on earth can someone make her feel like that with just one look?
Don't you dare close your eyes
A hundred thousand things to see

I've come so far
I can't go back to where I used to be
"Interns, this is doctor Sameer, he is also a senior resident, he will be like a second mentor" Kirti introduced him, he nodded his head in acknowledgment.
"For the morning you all will be divided into 2 groups. One group will be shadowing me, whilst the other will be shadowing doctor Sameer"
She looked at them with her piercing gaze and continued "Dr's Rehaaan, Aaliyah and Sapna will be shadowing Dr Sameer"
Sapna was rejoicing on the inside, thanking her stars.
Whilst Ray's eyes widened in horror Oh no how did I get stuck with this churail? Ray thought.
"And the remaining Dr's Armaan, Riddhima, Anjali and Atul, will be shadowing me"
she carried on "You will have a 30 min lunch break at 2'o clock, after which report at the reception desk, where I will assign you your duties for the rest of the day" she finished.

CANCER WARD
Dr Kirti introduced Mr Rafique who was a patient suffering from Malignant Melanoma (Skin cancer) to the interns.
She then asked each of them questions regarding the condition, such as how it could be caused, the prevention that can be done etc. She was thoroughly impressed by each of their answers, and thought she had a good batch of interns this year.
SPECIAL WARD
Whilst at the same time, Dr Sameer was questioning the others on a patient suffering from Cystic Fibrosis.
He was also impressed by them, but more so by Rehaan, who had answered his question with greater detail than was asked for.
All the interns spent the morning session, answering questions asked by their mentors and analysing the patients.

CAF
Armaan slumped himself on the chair
"This was so tiring" he said whilst yawning
"It was just our first day, imagine what's gonna happen to us in a couple of weeks" Atul said stretching his arms, and accidentally elbowing Anjali in the jaw again.
"I'm sorry…I swear it was by accident!" Atul said shocked as Anjali held her face where he had hit her.
"Shut up Atul!" Anjali said, they started bickering once more.

"There they go again" Armaan said to Riddhima whilst the other 2 were debating.
"Don't they get tired of arguing?" Riddhima asked
"I don't think so, but forget them" Armaan said changing the topic, he was more interested in getting to know Riddhima.
"I wonder where the others are." Riddhima speculated.
Just then an annoyed looking Ray walked in, followed by an amused Aaliyah. Sapna was behind them walking with Dr Sameer.
Ray flopped down on the chair next to Armaan, Aaliyah sat to his right.
Sapna also sat down, whilst Sameer went to hug Ridzie.
"Hey congrats Ridzie!" Sameer said releasing her from the hug.
Sapna felt a little jealous but only Armaan noticed her disappointment.
"What's wrong with them?" Sameer said as he saw Atul Anjali arguing…the 2 hadn't even realised everybody was staring at them.
"Anjie!!" Sameer said getting her attention.
Anjie turned to see Sameer, a grin spread across her face
"Hi Sir" she replied emphasising on the word 'sir'
"I'm not on duty Anjie and neither are you" he said shocked.
"I was only pulling your leg" Anjie said hugging Sameer.
"You guys know Sameer from before?" Sapna asked trying not to sound jealous.
Before Ridzie or Anjie could answer her, Armaan intervened
"They've known each other since childhood"
"How do you know?" Sameer asked interested, whilst Anjali looked surprised.
"I'm psychic" he said tapping his head with his finger.
"No, he isn't" Riddhima said grinning "Iss buddhu kau meine bataya tha" she said hitting Armaan playfully.
Armaan started talking to Ridzie. Whilst Anjali and Atul returned back to their squabbling.

"What's buddhu?" Aaliyah asked Ray
"It's like saying idiot, but in a nicer way" Ray answered with little annoyance.
"Oh okay" Aaliyah said, upset at his reaction as he didn't seem that irritated.
A smirk played around her lips as a plan formed in her head "What's banging bertha?"
"Oh it's nothing! Why don't you just order a sandwich?" Ray said thinking quickly, he couldn't be bothered putting up with her.

"Dokhla and Undhyu?" Sameer said as Sapna opened up her tiffin.
"Yeah" she said a bit embarrassed "my mum made it for me"
"Mari mummy pan mara internship waqt mane tiffin aap ti hati" (my mum used to make me a tiffin as well during my internship days) Sameer said looking a bit embarrassed himself, as he realised what he had just told her.
"You're gujju too?" Sapna said smiling could he be any more perfect? She thought.
"Yes" he said still a bit shy "except my mum packed me much more"
"Awww how sweet" she said blushing slightly.

"They look cute together don't they?" Riddhima said indicating towards Sameer and Sapna.
"They do" Armaan said looking at them "but they don't" Armaan said gesturing towards Atul and Anjali, who were still arguing.
"I know, its like zameen asmaan ka pharak" She said looking back towards Armaan, he was looking into her eyes, when Aaliyah interrupted them.
"Oh my gosh! What's the time?"
"It's time for you to get a watch darling!" Ray said sarcastically.
"Shut up Ray, I need to go pray namaaz" She said getting up from her seat.
"So do I" Ray realised smacking his forehead.
"Make sure you guys get to the reception desk on time" Armaan said looking up at them.

Ray was waiting outside the prayer room for Aaliyah. He looked at his watch yet again. They had 5 mins left till reporting time.
"Where is she?" Ray muttered, just then he saw her hurrying out, whilst taking her scarf off.
"She looks so innocent" he said to himself. She came up to Ray and said
"I need to quickly put my scarf back in the locker"
"But when she talks she sounds like a churail" Ray muttered yet again.
"Did you say something?" she asked
"Nope, now hurry up otherwise we'll be late and that Dr Kirti will kill us"

RECEPTION DESK
Rehaan and Aaliyah had made it 2 mins before Dr Kirti arrived.
"I'm going to be assigning you cases in pairs that you will report back to me at the end of the day" She said
"Dr Rehaan and Aaliyah, you 2 will be working on a new case, the patient's name is Mr Mehta.
By the looks of it he may be suffering from a kidney failure, but you will need to check all the details and make necessary arrangements for different tests to confirm this diagnosis and its treatment" Dr Kirti handed the case file to them
"Dr Atul, Anjali and Sapna as there are 3 of you; I will be giving you 2 cases.
A new accident case has come in, who is diabetic and hence will need monitoring. The other case is of Mr Singh who is a hypertensive patient and has just suffered a heart attack" She handed them their case files.
"All of you will be in the general ward, except Dr Armaan and Riddhima, you both will be in the paediatric ward were you will be handling a 10-yr old called Harsh.
He is suffering from sickle cell anaemia, after that you will also be joining the others in the general ward"

PAEDIATRIC WARD
"I'll be back, I just need to get some medication from the store room" Riddhima said to Armaan who was busy talking to Harsh.
"Okay" he said. Riddhima walked out of the ward.
Dr Padma who was with another patient walked over to Harsh's bed.
Armaan was too busy playing with Harsh that he didn't notice.
She coughed to get his attention. Armaan quickly straightend up as he realised who it was.
"Don't worry, mein tumhe daatungi nahin" Dr Padma said
"Nice to meet you Dr Padma" Armaan said putting forward his hand "I am Armaan"
"Nice to meet you" she said taking his hand "how are you Harsh beta?" Padma asked Harsh.
"I'm fine, aunty" Harsh said beaming at her.
"You didn't ask for chocolates this time?" Padma asked
"No aunty, I already have chocolates" Harsh said taking chocolates out of his pocket.
"Ohhh, who gave you chocolates, before I did?" she asked pulling a childish face.
"Armaan bhaiya neh" Harsh said looking towards Armaan.
Padma smiled at Armaan.

GENERAL WARD
"I think it will be best if we put him on dialysis"
Aaliyah said to Ray
"Mmhhhh…I agree" Ray said thinking; he turned to Mr Mehta and asked
"Mrs Mehta kaha hain?"
"Woh reception par ek phone karne gayee hain" Mr Mehta replied
"Okay" Ray said turning towards Aaliyah, who was resisting a grin Golmaal hai bhai sab golmaal hai...
"What did you just say to him, and what did he say?" Aaliyah asked innocently.
Ray forced a smile onto his face and said
"Nothing I just asked where Mrs Mehta was" They started walking away from Mr Mehta's bed.
"Well you could have said that in English at least that way I would have understood it, and then I wouldn't need to keep asking you! Jeez!" Aaliyah said annoyed.
Ray couldn't believe the amount of attitude she was giving him.

Armaan and Ridz walk in to the general ward, where they saw Ali and Ray arguing yet again. Ray walked over to them, before she could start off again.
Whilst Riddhima walked over to Aaliyah who was busy studying the file, and before Armaan could follow Ridz, Ray grabbed him and said
"Tu mere saath reh, warna aaj mere haathon se khoon ho jayega"
"Arre yaar thand rakh, apne dimag pe itna zor mat daal" Armaan said leaning on his shoulder.

"Aaliyah I am going to help Sapna, as Atul and Di are handling the other case, Armaan will help you two" Ridz said moving towards where Sapna was stood.
"Guys, why are you two standing here? We have to discuss the case with the Mehta family" Aaliyah said walking towards the two guys.
Ray was on the verge of paagalpan, started hallucinating and started to imagine Aaliyah as the white guy from Lagaan (Captain Russell) and said
"Hum tumhe teen goona lagaan nahin denge"
Armaan who was leaning on his shoulder backed away from him giving him a 'you've gone crazy look'.
"Sorry" Ali said looking confused.
"Lagaan haa Lagaan…" Ray was looking perplexed as to what he just said.
"Sorry" Ali asked again
"Ecjactly" Armaan said imitating Javed Jaffery.(Salaam Namaste movie)
"Sorry" she asked again looking from Ray to Armaan.
"Kya sorry sorry sorry laga rakha hai" Ray said exasperated.
"Whatever... there is Mrs Mehta, I am going to talk to her" Ali said annoyed as she walked over to Mr Mehta's bed.
As Ali reached Mrs Mehta, she noticed that Mrs Mehta looked distressed and had been crying.
She tried to calm her down, but it got worse. The weeping started to get louder, so Ray and Armaan decided to join Ali.
"Mrs Mehta, don't worry sab kuch theek ho jayega, abhi tak saari reports nahin ayee hain, aap itna mat royea, agar aap aise royengi tau Mr Mehta ko hausla kaun dega" Aaliyah said trying to pacify her, and not paying attention that Armaan and Ray were walking towards her.
Hearing this, Mrs Mehta seemed to calm down, but on the other hand Ray's blood pressure was reaching its peak.
Armaan noticing this said
"Ray, don't say anything, we are in front of patients"
"I wasn't going to say anything, lekin isse tau hindi aati hai, aur woh bhi itni acchi" Ray said scratching his head.
Ali turned around to see them within hearing distance. She completed the rest of the distance, so now she was face to face with Ray and said
"Mujhe hindi aati hai, tumhe kya lagaa ke mujhe hindi bolna nahi aataa… aur ab issi tazaa samachar ke saath ye pracharan yehi samapt hote hai.. dhanyavaad" She said smiling very widely.
"Huh.." Ray couldn't utter a single word.
With that she left a dumbfounded Armaan and Ray who had his mouth open standing.
She retreated her steps back, and closed Ray's mouth saying
"Mooh tau band karo mere lallu laal" she said pinching his cheek "ab chalo, Dr kirti ko report karna hai"

LOCKER ROOM
"Who said Sanjeevani means 'one that infuses life' its more like 'one that diffuses life'". Armaan said lying down on the bench.
Riddhima moved his feet and sat down next to him. "Yea I know what you mean" she then saw that Ray was still standing with his locker open lost in his thoughts.
"He is still in shock isn't he?"
Before Armaan could answer, Sapna entered with a very quiet Atul and Anjali.
"What happened to these two?" Armaan questioned as Atul and Anjie walked in to completely different directions from each other.
"He elbowed her again" Sapna chuckled.
Armaan and Riddhima started laughing.
"Arrey champ, before you didn't even touch a girl, aur aaj tune ek hi din main teen teen baar maaraa!!!" Armaan said still trying to control his laughter.
"Did you just call him champ?" Ridz asked.
"Yea, it's his pet name from me" Armaan answered her question.
Sapna looked towards Ray, who was still lost, and asked Armaan
"Isse kya hua?"
"He found out that Aaliyah can speak Hindi, and she was faking all this time" Armaan said looking amused.
"WHAT?" Sapna, Atul and Anjie exclaimed, as Aaliyah walked out of the changing room.
"Kya hua, itna shor kyu macha rahe ho?" She asked
"Arre waah, tumhari Hindi tau bahut acchi hai" Atul said impressed.
"Haa… maine Bollywood movies dekh dekh kai sikhi hai" She said brushing her shoulders.
"I'm so tired guys, lets make our way home" Sapna said yawning.
"Arrey nahin.. ruko" Aaliyah stopped them.
"Now what?" Ray said snapping out of his trance "Ab kaunsa naatak dikhane wali ho?"
She looked at his amused expressions and said
"Circus dikhane waali hu, chalo gai"
"Circus jaane ki jya zarurat hai, ek ready made Joker mere saamne hai" Ray said gesturing towards her.
"Stop it Ray!! Let Aaliyah speak" Sapna said annoyed.
"I was just saying before being rudely interrupted by him- that I want to go have paani puri" she said making a baby face.
Armaan rolled his eyes, whilst Ridz smiled.
"I have a problem though, mujhe meri mummy se permission leni hogi" Sapna said.
Riddhima's face lit up, and Anjie said "Ridz has an idea"
They all looked toward Ridz, who had a cheeky smirk on her face.
"Well…I do have a solution to your problem, we'll get Sameer to call your mum, and say that you will be assisting him on an important case that's why you will be late"
Armaan looked impressed and said "Bholi surat, chaalu seerat" winking at her.
At that point, Anjie saw Sameer walking past the locker room and called out
"Sameer"
As soon as he walked in to the locker room, he was surrounded by Ridz on the right and Anjie on his left
"What do you two want now?" He asked looking from one to the other.
"A favour" Ridz said handing him a phone.
They all explained the situation to Sameer, who happily agreed to help Sapna.
"Sir why don't you join us as well?" Sapna asked sweetly.
"Call me Sameer- Yea sure Ill join you" Sameer said.

PARKING SPACE
"Aaliyah and Sapna you two join us in our car" Anjie said.
"I've got my car" Ray said.
"We have ours, Sameer what about you?" Armaan asked.
"Yea, I have my bike" Sameer signalled towards his shiny black/red bike.
"Cool bike dude" Ray said eyeing the bike.
Sapna looked very impressed by his bike.

BEACH
As they parked their cars, Armaan said "That's where we live" gesturing towards a building.
They all looked up, Aaliyah said "Cool, you live near a beach!!"
and Ray said "Look on the 3rd floor, there's Mount Abu" pointing towards a balcony filled with plants.
"Yep, that is our hill station" Armaan said laughing.
"KYA??, That's your flat" Ray said laughing like a maniac.
Atul who was busy talking to Ridz and Sapna "That one is Maya, the one next to it is Reena, uske peeche hai Leela-"
"We don't want your jungle's bio-data" Anjie said cutting him off.
"I wasn't talking to you" Atul snapped back.
They started arguing for the umpteenth time today.

As they were all enjoying their paani puris, and listening to the gentle smash of the waves against the rocks. They were suddenly blinded by a flash...
"I think i've gone blind" Armaan said rubbing his eyes.
"What are you doing Aaliyah?" Ray blinking continuously to clear his vision.
"Sorry, I was only trying to take pictures" Aaliyah said pouting her lower lip.
"Can you send me these pictures as well" Ridz said
"Of course yaar, I'll email it to you, but I'll need your add" Ali said.
As Riddhima and Aaliyah were talking, Ray snuck up behind Aaliyah and poured water on her head.
"Aaarrghh!! My hair, I'm gonna kill you Ray" Aaliyah said
Ray tried to run away, but Riddhima caught him, Aaliyah got sand and threw it at him.
Everybody started to laugh, Ray was about to sneeze
"ARRRR…..ARRRRR……ARRRRR…….ARRRRRRRCCCCHHHHHOOOOOO!!!"
Everybody were in hysterics, Armaan was rolling on the sand laughing whilst Riddhima and Aaliyah were holding their stomach.
Anjali and Atul were holding onto each other for support whilst laughing.
"Ray, you have such a funny sneeze" Sapna said giving Sameer a high five.
Suddenly something clicked in Atul's Brain, like two pieces of puzzles coming together.
"YOU'RE YOU!!" Atul said pointing at Ray.
Everybody looked at Atul and started laughing even more.
"Of course he's him, Atul how stupid" Anjie said in between laughter.
"Noo, I mean I know who he is!!!" Atul said pointing both his hands at Ray again.
Then Ray realised what Atul must have remembered and panicked
"Nooo noo woh main nahin hu…main main hu…lekin main woh nahin huu…kyunki main main hu, woh main nahee hu……arrey yaar main kaun hu?" Ray said looking distressed and utterly confused.
That was it... sorry it might have been kind of boring, plus a bit long.. but wanted to make up for the delay in posting!!!

"How many times do I have to apologise Anjali?" Atul said trying to catch up with Anjali's quick pace.
"I'll tell you when you get there" Anji said rubbing her jaw, she regretted sitting next to Atul now.
"What are you two arguing about?" Riddhima asked, she looked toward Armaan to see if he knew what they were talking about.
Armaan shrugged to show he had no idea what they were talking.
"Atul elbowed me in the face" Anjali said like a little child.
"By accident!!" Atul defended himself
"I don't care, you still have a hard elbow" Anjali moaned.
This gave Atul and Anjali a whole new reason to argue, Sapna playing the moderator making sure they didn't pull each others hair out.

Armaan and Riddhima on the other hand were chatting generally
"So what medical college did you go to?" Armaan asked
"We went to St Xavier's medical college, what about you?"
"Me and Atul went to Mumbai medical college" Armaan said, he was biting his lower lip, Armaan desperately wanted to ask her about Sameer, but he couldn't muster up enough courage.
By this point they had reached Dr Kirti's cabin.

Ray was still lost in his own thoughts…
"Ray what's wrong?" Aaliyah asked disturbing his thoughts
He cursed under his breath 'ab mujhe shanti sey sochney bhi nahin deytee…kaha phas gaya mein iss churail key saath'
"Oh nothing, I was just reflecting on Dr Shashank's speech" Ray said in his normal voice.
"Yeah that was such a good speech yaar" Sapna said.
"It sounded really familiar, I think I have read it somewhere" Ray said contemplating.
"Yes, specially at the end the differences and success lines" Ali said thinking herself.
"HARRY POTTER" Ray shouted.
"That's it, it was in Harry Potter" Aaliyah said slapping her forehead.
"Haila…He stole Dumbledore's lines… no offence Anjie, Ridz" Ray said looking amused.
"Chill… it's fine" Anjie said to Ray, then she turned to Ridz
"Remember Ridz, dad use to read Harry Potter to us when we were younger"
Riddhima gasped and her eyes widened as she remembered
"So that's where dad got it from!"

"INTERNS" Dr Kirti's voice reached there ears.
They all turned around to see her there. But this time she wasn't alone, Dr Sameer was with her.
Armaan silently cursed his luck.
Whilst Sapna was gazing at him, she was thinking…

"Interns, this is doctor Sameer, he is also a senior resident, he will be like a second mentor" Kirti introduced him, he nodded his head in acknowledgment.
"For the morning you all will be divided into 2 groups. One group will be shadowing me, whilst the other will be shadowing doctor Sameer"
She looked at them with her piercing gaze and continued "Dr's Rehaaan, Aaliyah and Sapna will be shadowing Dr Sameer"
Sapna was rejoicing on the inside, thanking her stars.
Whilst Ray's eyes widened in horror Oh no how did I get stuck with this churail? Ray thought.
"And the remaining Dr's Armaan, Riddhima, Anjali and Atul, will be shadowing me"
she carried on "You will have a 30 min lunch break at 2'o clock, after which report at the reception desk, where I will assign you your duties for the rest of the day" she finished.

CANCER WARD
Dr Kirti introduced Mr Rafique who was a patient suffering from Malignant Melanoma (Skin cancer) to the interns.
She then asked each of them questions regarding the condition, such as how it could be caused, the prevention that can be done etc. She was thoroughly impressed by each of their answers, and thought she had a good batch of interns this year.
SPECIAL WARD
Whilst at the same time, Dr Sameer was questioning the others on a patient suffering from Cystic Fibrosis.
He was also impressed by them, but more so by Rehaan, who had answered his question with greater detail than was asked for.
All the interns spent the morning session, answering questions asked by their mentors and analysing the patients.

CAF
Armaan slumped himself on the chair
"This was so tiring" he said whilst yawning
"It was just our first day, imagine what's gonna happen to us in a couple of weeks" Atul said stretching his arms, and accidentally elbowing Anjali in the jaw again.
"I'm sorry…I swear it was by accident!" Atul said shocked as Anjali held her face where he had hit her.
"Shut up Atul!" Anjali said, they started bickering once more.

"There they go again" Armaan said to Riddhima whilst the other 2 were debating.
"Don't they get tired of arguing?" Riddhima asked
"I don't think so, but forget them" Armaan said changing the topic, he was more interested in getting to know Riddhima.
"I wonder where the others are." Riddhima speculated.
Just then an annoyed looking Ray walked in, followed by an amused Aaliyah. Sapna was behind them walking with Dr Sameer.
Ray flopped down on the chair next to Armaan, Aaliyah sat to his right.
Sapna also sat down, whilst Sameer went to hug Ridzie.
"Hey congrats Ridzie!" Sameer said releasing her from the hug.
Sapna felt a little jealous but only Armaan noticed her disappointment.
"What's wrong with them?" Sameer said as he saw Atul Anjali arguing…the 2 hadn't even realised everybody was staring at them.
"Anjie!!" Sameer said getting her attention.
Anjie turned to see Sameer, a grin spread across her face
"Hi Sir" she replied emphasising on the word 'sir'
"I'm not on duty Anjie and neither are you" he said shocked.
"I was only pulling your leg" Anjie said hugging Sameer.
"You guys know Sameer from before?" Sapna asked trying not to sound jealous.
Before Ridzie or Anjie could answer her, Armaan intervened
"They've known each other since childhood"
"How do you know?" Sameer asked interested, whilst Anjali looked surprised.
"I'm psychic" he said tapping his head with his finger.
"No, he isn't" Riddhima said grinning "Iss buddhu kau meine bataya tha" she said hitting Armaan playfully.
Armaan started talking to Ridzie. Whilst Anjali and Atul returned back to their squabbling.

"What's buddhu?" Aaliyah asked Ray
"It's like saying idiot, but in a nicer way" Ray answered with little annoyance.
"Oh okay" Aaliyah said, upset at his reaction as he didn't seem that irritated.
A smirk played around her lips as a plan formed in her head "What's banging bertha?"
"Oh it's nothing! Why don't you just order a sandwich?" Ray said thinking quickly, he couldn't be bothered putting up with her.

"Dokhla and Undhyu?" Sameer said as Sapna opened up her tiffin.
"Yeah" she said a bit embarrassed "my mum made it for me"
"Mari mummy pan mara internship waqt mane tiffin aap ti hati" (my mum used to make me a tiffin as well during my internship days) Sameer said looking a bit embarrassed himself, as he realised what he had just told her.
"You're gujju too?" Sapna said smiling could he be any more perfect? She thought.
"Yes" he said still a bit shy "except my mum packed me much more"
"Awww how sweet" she said blushing slightly.

"They look cute together don't they?" Riddhima said indicating towards Sameer and Sapna.
"They do" Armaan said looking at them "but they don't" Armaan said gesturing towards Atul and Anjali, who were still arguing.
"I know, its like zameen asmaan ka pharak" She said looking back towards Armaan, he was looking into her eyes, when Aaliyah interrupted them.
"Oh my gosh! What's the time?"
"It's time for you to get a watch darling!" Ray said sarcastically.
"Shut up Ray, I need to go pray namaaz" She said getting up from her seat.
"So do I" Ray realised smacking his forehead.
"Make sure you guys get to the reception desk on time" Armaan said looking up at them.

Ray was waiting outside the prayer room for Aaliyah. He looked at his watch yet again. They had 5 mins left till reporting time.
"Where is she?" Ray muttered, just then he saw her hurrying out, whilst taking her scarf off.
"She looks so innocent" he said to himself. She came up to Ray and said
"I need to quickly put my scarf back in the locker"
"But when she talks she sounds like a churail" Ray muttered yet again.
"Did you say something?" she asked
"Nope, now hurry up otherwise we'll be late and that Dr Kirti will kill us"

RECEPTION DESK
Rehaan and Aaliyah had made it 2 mins before Dr Kirti arrived.
"I'm going to be assigning you cases in pairs that you will report back to me at the end of the day" She said
"Dr Rehaan and Aaliyah, you 2 will be working on a new case, the patient's name is Mr Mehta.
By the looks of it he may be suffering from a kidney failure, but you will need to check all the details and make necessary arrangements for different tests to confirm this diagnosis and its treatment" Dr Kirti handed the case file to them
"Dr Atul, Anjali and Sapna as there are 3 of you; I will be giving you 2 cases.
A new accident case has come in, who is diabetic and hence will need monitoring. The other case is of Mr Singh who is a hypertensive patient and has just suffered a heart attack" She handed them their case files.
"All of you will be in the general ward, except Dr Armaan and Riddhima, you both will be in the paediatric ward were you will be handling a 10-yr old called Harsh.
He is suffering from sickle cell anaemia, after that you will also be joining the others in the general ward"

PAEDIATRIC WARD
"I'll be back, I just need to get some medication from the store room" Riddhima said to Armaan who was busy talking to Harsh.
"Okay" he said. Riddhima walked out of the ward.
Dr Padma who was with another patient walked over to Harsh's bed.
Armaan was too busy playing with Harsh that he didn't notice.
She coughed to get his attention. Armaan quickly straightend up as he realised who it was.
"Don't worry, mein tumhe daatungi nahin" Dr Padma said
"Nice to meet you Dr Padma" Armaan said putting forward his hand "I am Armaan"
"Nice to meet you" she said taking his hand "how are you Harsh beta?" Padma asked Harsh.
"I'm fine, aunty" Harsh said beaming at her.
"You didn't ask for chocolates this time?" Padma asked
"No aunty, I already have chocolates" Harsh said taking chocolates out of his pocket.
"Ohhh, who gave you chocolates, before I did?" she asked pulling a childish face.
"Armaan bhaiya neh" Harsh said looking towards Armaan.
Padma smiled at Armaan.

GENERAL WARD
"I think it will be best if we put him on dialysis"
Aaliyah said to Ray
"Mmhhhh…I agree" Ray said thinking; he turned to Mr Mehta and asked
"Mrs Mehta kaha hain?"
"Woh reception par ek phone karne gayee hain" Mr Mehta replied
"Okay" Ray said turning towards Aaliyah, who was resisting a grin Golmaal hai bhai sab golmaal hai...
"What did you just say to him, and what did he say?" Aaliyah asked innocently.
Ray forced a smile onto his face and said
"Nothing I just asked where Mrs Mehta was" They started walking away from Mr Mehta's bed.
"Well you could have said that in English at least that way I would have understood it, and then I wouldn't need to keep asking you! Jeez!" Aaliyah said annoyed.
Ray couldn't believe the amount of attitude she was giving him.

Armaan and Ridz walk in to the general ward, where they saw Ali and Ray arguing yet again. Ray walked over to them, before she could start off again.
Whilst Riddhima walked over to Aaliyah who was busy studying the file, and before Armaan could follow Ridz, Ray grabbed him and said
"Tu mere saath reh, warna aaj mere haathon se khoon ho jayega"
"Arre yaar thand rakh, apne dimag pe itna zor mat daal" Armaan said leaning on his shoulder.

"Aaliyah I am going to help Sapna, as Atul and Di are handling the other case, Armaan will help you two" Ridz said moving towards where Sapna was stood.
"Guys, why are you two standing here? We have to discuss the case with the Mehta family" Aaliyah said walking towards the two guys.
Ray was on the verge of paagalpan, started hallucinating and started to imagine Aaliyah as the white guy from Lagaan (Captain Russell) and said
"Hum tumhe teen goona lagaan nahin denge"
Armaan who was leaning on his shoulder backed away from him giving him a 'you've gone crazy look'.
"Sorry" Ali said looking confused.
"Lagaan haa Lagaan…" Ray was looking perplexed as to what he just said.
"Sorry" Ali asked again
"Ecjactly" Armaan said imitating Javed Jaffery.(Salaam Namaste movie)
"Sorry" she asked again looking from Ray to Armaan.
"Kya sorry sorry sorry laga rakha hai" Ray said exasperated.
"Whatever... there is Mrs Mehta, I am going to talk to her" Ali said annoyed as she walked over to Mr Mehta's bed.
As Ali reached Mrs Mehta, she noticed that Mrs Mehta looked distressed and had been crying.
She tried to calm her down, but it got worse. The weeping started to get louder, so Ray and Armaan decided to join Ali.
"Mrs Mehta, don't worry sab kuch theek ho jayega, abhi tak saari reports nahin ayee hain, aap itna mat royea, agar aap aise royengi tau Mr Mehta ko hausla kaun dega" Aaliyah said trying to pacify her, and not paying attention that Armaan and Ray were walking towards her.
Hearing this, Mrs Mehta seemed to calm down, but on the other hand Ray's blood pressure was reaching its peak.
Armaan noticing this said
"Ray, don't say anything, we are in front of patients"
"I wasn't going to say anything, lekin isse tau hindi aati hai, aur woh bhi itni acchi" Ray said scratching his head.
Ali turned around to see them within hearing distance. She completed the rest of the distance, so now she was face to face with Ray and said
"Mujhe hindi aati hai, tumhe kya lagaa ke mujhe hindi bolna nahi aataa… aur ab issi tazaa samachar ke saath ye pracharan yehi samapt hote hai.. dhanyavaad" She said smiling very widely.
"Huh.." Ray couldn't utter a single word.
With that she left a dumbfounded Armaan and Ray who had his mouth open standing.
She retreated her steps back, and closed Ray's mouth saying
"Mooh tau band karo mere lallu laal" she said pinching his cheek "ab chalo, Dr kirti ko report karna hai"

LOCKER ROOM
"Who said Sanjeevani means 'one that infuses life' its more like 'one that diffuses life'". Armaan said lying down on the bench.
Riddhima moved his feet and sat down next to him. "Yea I know what you mean" she then saw that Ray was still standing with his locker open lost in his thoughts.
"He is still in shock isn't he?"
Before Armaan could answer, Sapna entered with a very quiet Atul and Anjali.
"What happened to these two?" Armaan questioned as Atul and Anjie walked in to completely different directions from each other.
"He elbowed her again" Sapna chuckled.
Armaan and Riddhima started laughing.
"Arrey champ, before you didn't even touch a girl, aur aaj tune ek hi din main teen teen baar maaraa!!!" Armaan said still trying to control his laughter.
"Did you just call him champ?" Ridz asked.
"Yea, it's his pet name from me" Armaan answered her question.
Sapna looked towards Ray, who was still lost, and asked Armaan
"Isse kya hua?"
"He found out that Aaliyah can speak Hindi, and she was faking all this time" Armaan said looking amused.
"WHAT?" Sapna, Atul and Anjie exclaimed, as Aaliyah walked out of the changing room.
"Kya hua, itna shor kyu macha rahe ho?" She asked
"Arre waah, tumhari Hindi tau bahut acchi hai" Atul said impressed.
"Haa… maine Bollywood movies dekh dekh kai sikhi hai" She said brushing her shoulders.
"I'm so tired guys, lets make our way home" Sapna said yawning.
"Arrey nahin.. ruko" Aaliyah stopped them.
"Now what?" Ray said snapping out of his trance "Ab kaunsa naatak dikhane wali ho?"
She looked at his amused expressions and said
"Circus dikhane waali hu, chalo gai"
"Circus jaane ki jya zarurat hai, ek ready made Joker mere saamne hai" Ray said gesturing towards her.
"Stop it Ray!! Let Aaliyah speak" Sapna said annoyed.
"I was just saying before being rudely interrupted by him- that I want to go have paani puri" she said making a baby face.
Armaan rolled his eyes, whilst Ridz smiled.
"I have a problem though, mujhe meri mummy se permission leni hogi" Sapna said.
Riddhima's face lit up, and Anjie said "Ridz has an idea"
They all looked toward Ridz, who had a cheeky smirk on her face.
"Well…I do have a solution to your problem, we'll get Sameer to call your mum, and say that you will be assisting him on an important case that's why you will be late"
Armaan looked impressed and said "Bholi surat, chaalu seerat" winking at her.
At that point, Anjie saw Sameer walking past the locker room and called out
"Sameer"
As soon as he walked in to the locker room, he was surrounded by Ridz on the right and Anjie on his left
"What do you two want now?" He asked looking from one to the other.
"A favour" Ridz said handing him a phone.
They all explained the situation to Sameer, who happily agreed to help Sapna.
"Sir why don't you join us as well?" Sapna asked sweetly.
"Call me Sameer- Yea sure Ill join you" Sameer said.

PARKING SPACE
"Aaliyah and Sapna you two join us in our car" Anjie said.
"I've got my car" Ray said.
"We have ours, Sameer what about you?" Armaan asked.
"Yea, I have my bike" Sameer signalled towards his shiny black/red bike.
"Cool bike dude" Ray said eyeing the bike.
Sapna looked very impressed by his bike.

BEACH
As they parked their cars, Armaan said "That's where we live" gesturing towards a building.
They all looked up, Aaliyah said "Cool, you live near a beach!!"
and Ray said "Look on the 3rd floor, there's Mount Abu" pointing towards a balcony filled with plants.
"Yep, that is our hill station" Armaan said laughing.
"KYA??, That's your flat" Ray said laughing like a maniac.
Atul who was busy talking to Ridz and Sapna "That one is Maya, the one next to it is Reena, uske peeche hai Leela-"
"We don't want your jungle's bio-data" Anjie said cutting him off.
"I wasn't talking to you" Atul snapped back.
They started arguing for the umpteenth time today.

As they were all enjoying their paani puris, and listening to the gentle smash of the waves against the rocks. They were suddenly blinded by a flash...
"I think i've gone blind" Armaan said rubbing his eyes.
"What are you doing Aaliyah?" Ray blinking continuously to clear his vision.
"Sorry, I was only trying to take pictures" Aaliyah said pouting her lower lip.
"Can you send me these pictures as well" Ridz said
"Of course yaar, I'll email it to you, but I'll need your add" Ali said.
As Riddhima and Aaliyah were talking, Ray snuck up behind Aaliyah and poured water on her head.
"Aaarrghh!! My hair, I'm gonna kill you Ray" Aaliyah said
Ray tried to run away, but Riddhima caught him, Aaliyah got sand and threw it at him.
Everybody started to laugh, Ray was about to sneeze
"ARRRR…..ARRRRR……ARRRRR…….ARRRRRRRCCCCHHHHHOOOOOO!!!"
Everybody were in hysterics, Armaan was rolling on the sand laughing whilst Riddhima and Aaliyah were holding their stomach.
Anjali and Atul were holding onto each other for support whilst laughing.
"Ray, you have such a funny sneeze" Sapna said giving Sameer a high five.
Suddenly something clicked in Atul's Brain, like two pieces of puzzles coming together.
"YOU'RE YOU!!" Atul said pointing at Ray.
Everybody looked at Atul and started laughing even more.
"Of course he's him, Atul how stupid" Anjie said in between laughter.
"Noo, I mean I know who he is!!!" Atul said pointing both his hands at Ray again.
Then Ray realised what Atul must have remembered and panicked
"Nooo noo woh main nahin hu…main main hu…lekin main woh nahin huu…kyunki main main hu, woh main nahee hu……arrey yaar main kaun hu?" Ray said looking distressed and utterly confused.
That was it... sorry it might have been kind of boring, plus a bit long.. but wanted to make up for the delay in posting!!!
