Firstly sorry for taking so long to comment on the last two part.... had been a bit busy, so was not online, as it is i am not much active in this forum...though i wud like to be!!!😃

Anyways coming back to Ch9A and B, both were amazing....the title of the chapter was apt for what happened in this chap...lots and lots of surprises!!!! I'll divulge in that later, 1st i wana say.... Bechara Shubu... Keerti sacchi main hitler hai... he's so scared of her...😆 n Hmmm... script....the event sounds interesting! cant wait for that! I just remembered the nursery rhyme.... baba bakri.....my my... that had me in stitches... 🤣🤣 may be Ali shud change the bakri to bakra!!!after all, he is her bakra!!!😉

Atul's party- I loved the Atif song... true it does take u back to those carefree days...😉😳 btw their flat sounds nice...i wudnt mind leaving there....😆
The kitchen scene was just soooooo cute and romantic...😳, aur chalo atleast Anji and Atul felt sumthin...😃 the gift and cards part was soooo shweet...loved the description of wat they had written....😊
Now the funniest part....the dares were just brilliant and sooooooooooooooooooooo funny!!!!! Poor Sam..bechara ek tau pehle se hi itna kam bolta hai...and Sapna danced like Mallika....whoa!!!😆
Atul is soooooo gonna boss Anjie around....Naukar!!!😉 N Atul is singing....Sapna's toooo nice with her dare!!!lol..

i know its been ages since I've actually commented and i'm really sorry about that!!!

can i just say that you really are one of the most amazing and talented writers on this forum! everything you write is so imaginable and so realistic! i loved chapters 9A and 9B they are just too good for words! I loved the kitchen scene and the dares! lol I also like the way you focus on all the characters equally and not just armaan and riddhima constantly...(although i wouldn't mind more AR scenes at all! lol!)

how do u think up these ideas? i really wish i could take a leaf out of your book! you're an inspiration to all of us writers!

i've said this and i'll say this again and again...you are so talented for your age! are u considering to be a writer when you grow older?

CHAPTER 10: SAHIB BIWI AUR GHULAM

EARLY MORNING

GENERAL WARD

"I'm so tired, why did that Hitler have to give us morning shift?" Aaliyah said as she picked up the daily chart whilst Ray was changing the IV drop.
"Address me with respect…I am your husband after all" Ray said "even if it is for just a week"

"Rehaan, we are not in front of anybody. So drop the acting" Aaliyah said faking a smile at him.

Someone coughed behind them, making them both turn around. Sameer was standing there with his arms folded grinning from ear to ear. Aaliyah and Ray smiled at him sweetly and then looked at each other
"Chale Rehaan ji we have a patient to attend to" Aaliyah said

"Haa chaliye…pehle aap Begum saahiba" Ray said gesturing for her to lead the way
Sameer laughed as he walked to a patient he had come to check up on. Luckily his patients' bed was next to the patient that Ray and Aaliyah were checking up.

"I think we need to remove the cast and get an X-ray done. What do you think Rehaan ji?" Aaliyah said looking towards Sameer with a patronising stare. Sameer looked up from his patient and smiled, fully enjoying this.

"Yes you are right Begum Saahiba" Ray said looking at the clip chart.

The patient who was used to seeing Aaliyah and Ray fighting looked from one to the other and said
"Are you 2 feeling okay? Did I hear right? Or are my ears ringing? Did you just call her begum saahiba? And did she just address you as Rehaan JI??" the patient asked.

"Yes you heard right" Ray said smiling cheekily at Aaliyah "Humaari abhi abhi shaadi hui hain"

"Haa…kal hi shaadi hui hai. Kisi kau batane ka time hi nahi mila" Aaliyah said playing along with Ray.

Sameer busted out laughing as he heard Aaliyah and Ray trying to convince a patient that they were married.

"Yeh Dr Sameer yaha..hamari shaadi mein aaye the" Aaliyah said gesturing to Sameer.
"Haaa…kyun Sameer?" Rehaan asked enjoying every moment of this. For some reason he liked the idea of being married to Aaliyah…he looked at her and thought

'My Dil goes mmmmhhhh'

LOCKER ROOM

(Later in the morning)

Armaan walked in with high spirits, still happy due to yesterday's events; when he saw Riddhima standing there looking in her locker. Her back was facing towards him so she had no idea Armaan had just walked in. He looked around to find the room empty. He crept up behind her and wrapped his arms around her petite waist and snuggled his chin to rest on her neck and said
"Good morning wifey… tum ne mujhe yaad kiya, aur lo main aagaya"

She turned around removing his hands off her waist and said "There's nobody here Armaan, you don't need to do this act, and who said I was missing you"

"Uff basket, talk about killing the romance, kuch tau flirt karne dau…" He said moaning like a baby, sitting down on the bench.
"Accha theek hai… flirt karo, good practice for the event" She said grabbing his hand and interlocking her fingers with his, as she sat next to him.

"Practice makes perfect, so what if it's just for the event, at least I get to flirt with my wife" He said winking at her.

"You are the first person, who is wilfully flirting with his wife" She said laughing, as he toyed with her fingers.

"Hi guys"

Sapna said walking in to the locker room. Riddhima quickly withdrew her hands from Armaans. He pulled a face, reluctant to let go.
"Hey Sapna" Riddhima said standing up and walking to her locker again, Sapna also made her way to her locker.

Armaan turned around on the bench, so that now he was facing Sapna.
"Nice Garba moves yesterday Sapna" he said cheekily
Sapna took out her lab coat, with a distant expression on her face

"Sapna?" he said. No reply.
"Sapna?" he repeated a couple of times, he looked at Riddhma who just shrugged. So Armaan got up and jerked Sapna

"Huh?!" Sapna said bewildered "did you say something?"
"I was calling your name since so long…where are you lost? Itni khush kyun lag rahee hau?"

"Er…kuch nahin, it's a beautiful day today" Sapna commented. Armaan who was about to say something was interrupted by his pager, he looked at it and said "I have to go meet Dr Padma to discuss Minnie's case…Riddhima, oh sorry I meant sweetheart I'll see you in the obstetrics ward" with that he left.

"Ab Armaan bhi gaya, at least tell me ke tum itni khush kyun hau?" Riddhima said raising her eyebrows at Sapna; who just giggled.

CANTEEN (Break time)

They all took up their usual seats at their table.
"Jaane kyun laug dare dete hain" Atul sang "jaane kyunnn? jaane kyun? Oh jaane kyun jaane kyun jaane kyun?" he was looking at Sapna
Anjali rolled her eyes and said "Gosh Sapna, why did you have to give him that dare! He has been singing all morning. When we were in the paediatric ward he started singing his personalised remix version of Himesh Reshammiya's song Ashiq banaya aapne"

Sapna started laughing and asked "How did he sing it instead?"

"Allow me" Atul said making a fist with his hand and holding it like a mike (Himmesh's style) "Plaster lagayaa, plaster lagayaa, plaster lagayaa humne. Teri haddi tuti hui thi. Tera fracture hua hua tha. Tere peyr kau theek kiya humne!" Atul sang.

"Argh! Stop Atul…you and that kid annoyed me to death" Anjali said banging her palm on her head "It's not as if one Atul was enough…the kid also started singing"

"What was he singing?" Armaan asked enjoying every minute of this

"He was singing in that 'Race sanson ki song' 'Race sports day ki, peyr toota mera. Race sports day ki…my class was racing on…" Anjali sang as well.

They all bursted out laughing, Anjali got up to get herself a sandwich, when Atul sang in 'Ae ganpat chal daru laa… tune' "Ae anjali chal coffee laa, Ae anjali chal coffee laa, cheeni kum aur doodh zara jyada milaaa…cheeni kum aur doodh zara jyada milaa… thoda table wable saaf kar dena yaar…. Ae anjali anjali…."

She gave Atul a piercing gaze, and then looked at Sameer and said "You idiot, duffer, moron, this is all your fault" she stormed off towards the counter, to get Atul his doodh jyada, cheeni kum coffee.

After a while, the canteen waala bhaiya approached them carrying a cake, and placed it in front of Aaliyah and Rehan and said
"Arrey Dr Rehan, aapne tau hamein bataya tak nahin ke aapne Dr Aaliyah ke saath shaadi kar lee"

Aaliyah and Ray looked at each other and laughed and everybody at the table joined them, Atul was choking on his coffee due to incessant laughing and sang "Dulhe ka sehra suhana lagta hai, dulhan ka tau dil deewana lagta hai…" looking towards Ray and Ali.

On the cake it read 'Congratulations', Aaliyah looked at the bhaiya and asked "Lekin aap ko kisne bataya?"
He replied "Woh lovelyji ne bataya"

"Lovely ji?? Unhe kaise pata chala…" Aaliyah said talking more to herself than the bhaiya.
"Ji woh unhe, woh aapke mareez…kya naam bataya tha lovelyji ne…haa Sandeep babu…" Sukhi (Canteen wala) bhaiyya said answering her question for her.

"Oh no, that means the whole hospital knows, if Lovelyji knows" Ray looked dumbfounded at Ali.
"My prank backfired on me" Ali said smacking her head.

"Sukhi bhaiya, aap ko ek aur cake banana chahiye tha, yaha pe ek couple nahin, dau dau hai, Ridz aur Armaan ki bhi kal hi shaadi hui hai" Anjie said looking towards Armaan and Ridz, they both stared at her and laughed. What Anjali didn't know was that the ward boys that were around had heard what she had just said.

"Ji, yeh sab kaise hua, itni jaldi…" Sukhi bhaiya was unable to digest this fact and just looked around at all of them. Watching the astonished look on Sukhi bhaiya's face made them all laugh out even more. Sameer being the sensible one decided to tell Sukhi bhaiya the truth.

"Woh yeh saab tau aapki taang kheench rahe hain…yeh sab ek mazak tha. Aaliyah aur Rehaan ne shaadi nahi ki. Aur Armaan and Riddhima ne bhi shaadi nahin ki"

Sukhi bhaiya said
"Kya! Lekin yeh baat tau sab laug jaante hai" he added worriedly "Dr Kirti kau bhi pata hai"
"KYA?" Ali and Ray said in unison. Aaliyah just looked mortified at that, and muttered

"Ya Allah… ye kyun hua? Haai..ab kya hoga? Meri izzat…sab mere baare main kya soch rahe honge, but more than that what about Dr Kirti? Main ab kabhi bhi kisi kau prank nahin karungi, kisi ke saath nahin larungi, is lallu se bhi nahin… please help me sort this mess out…"

Ray looked at her muttering profusely to herself, with her hands folded as in a state of prayer and thought to himself 'My Dil goes mmmmhhhh…'

Whilst the others looked at each other in shock, imagining Dr Kirti's reaction. When Sameer interrupted their thoughts and reminded them, that they had to report to Dr Kirti in 5 minutes.

After they all left apart from Sameer, who was about to leave, when he said to Sukhi bhaiya "Sukhi bhaiya, aap ye cake apne paas hi rakhle" with that he made his way out of the canteen. Ray came running back in the canteen and skidded to a halt in front of Sukhi bhaiya and said very sweetly, while catching his breath "Bhaiya…urm woh aap cake ke saath kya karne wale hai?"

Bhaiya laughed as he knew very well, that Ray loved cake

"Haa haa Rehaan mujhe pata tha tum wapas zaroor aaonge, main ye cake tumhare liye side par rakh dunga, tum shift ke baad yaha se le jana…theek hai"

Ray looked at him "Bhaiya you are the best, thank you" with that he left, before he got late for Dr Hitler, hoping somehow that she doesn't mention anything about him and Aaliyah.

RECEPTION DESK

Dr Kirti was awaiting the interns, smiling to herself. She remembered her morning, and blushed; Shubhankar was being overtly romantic today, he had even planned to take her out on a romantic date tonight. She was in a very good mood today, even the two shocking news that she had heard from Nurse Lovely and Birju the ward boy didn't deter her. She snickered slightly thinking…

Rehaan and Aaliyah…married out of all people…it's definitely one of their pranks. But you never know, just look at me and Shubi… and Armaan and Riddhima, hmm…well they are always together, never leave each other's side…Thank God, Dr Shashank is not in town, or else Riddhima ki tau khair nahin, Padma's too nice… Here they come, I'll just ask them what exactly is going on here??

As the interns made their way through the corridor to the desk, Atul sang in an audible voice "Keerti with a 'K', that's the way, say K-E-E-R-T-I…"

Armaan scratched his head and said "I thought her name was spelt with an 'I' not double 'E'"
Ray said in a punjabi ishtyle slapping Armaan's back "Ki farak pendha hai? Double E hau ya I, pronounce tau ek hi tarah hota hai"

On reaching the desk, all of them were pleasantly surprised by being greeted with a broad smile that was spread across Dr Kirti's face.

"I've been hearing a lot of things today, so which one of you is going to tell me the truth?" Dr Kirti said eyeing them all up.

Aaliyah who was playing with her stethoscope said "What truth Doctor Kirti?"

"What do you mean by what truth? Unless you are saying that you and Rehaan and Armaan and Riddhima are really married?" Kirti said at them four.

Before either of the four can say anything, Anjali butted in, seeing Kirti's good mood and said

"What makes you think it's a lie ma'am?"

"If you tell me Armaan and Riddhima were married, may be I would believe you but they wouldn't take such a drastic step. And it would take a lot to convince me that Aaliyah and Rehaan were married. They can't even stand to look at each other, let alone marry each other" Kirti said sceptically.

"No ma'am, urm… woh kya hai na, it is just a dare, they both have to act as married couples." Sapna said looking around at the others.

"I see…but can you all make sure that you keep your dares away, when you are attending your patients. It does not look professional… now can I have your case files please" Kirti said, after which she handed them their afternoon duties.

"Chalein begum sahiba" Ray said to Ali, and whispered so that only she could hear "Aaj tau baal baal bachein" Ali giggled as they made their way.

Kirti mouthed "Begum sahiba" and smiled, which was noticed by Armaan, who thought to himself Hitler's in a good mood today…wonder why? Let's find out…
"Ma'am aaj kuch khaas din hai kya?" Armaan said slowly

"Why?" Kirti asked
"No, it's just that you urm…look very happy today." He said trying his best to avoid sounding nosey.

"Dr Armaan, you have your duties to attend to" Kirti said coming back to her Hilter mode.
Before she could say anything further, Ridz dragged Armaan away. As Anjali and Atul made their way, he could be heard singing "Anjali tau hai naukar Atul ki… Anjali tau-"

REHEARSALS

(Aaliyah and Ray in the seminar room. Their duties had finished earlier, as they had started before everyone)

The seminar room, where the doctors held their conferences, seminars and presentations was going to be turned in to the theatre for the event, and where they were rehearsing.

Aaliyah was helping Rehaan learn his lines properly and teaching him the correct way to pronounce them. Ray just looked at her flabbergasted and said

"What kind of a name is that?"
"Shut up Lallu! It's a nice name, just because you can't see anything beyond your sci-fi crap… Darth Vader, and Queen Amidala are very lovely names aren't they?" She said sarcastically.

"Sci-fi, is way above your IQ level, I wouldn't expect a bandit queen like you to understand it anyway" He said annoyed.
"Ok ok… we are going off topic…can we just get back to rehearsing please" She said smacking him with a script.

They started rehearsing; he was holding a script in one hand, and standing on a chair like he owned the world. Aaliyah gave him a 'what the hell are you doing look' and said "Why are you standing on a chair for? That's not how it's done, didn't you see it, I gave you the DVD for a reason"

"I started watching it, and I fell asleep after 5 minutes, but my abbu watched all of it, even though he's seen it like million times already" Ray said sheepishly. "Why are we doing this anyway? It's so old" He added.

"Because old is gold…" She said smacking him with her script.
"Oh… is that why my abbu is priceless" He said laughing at his own joke.

"Rehaan… that's so rude, and stop going off topic, you go there and learn your lines..." She said pointing to the other end of the room. "And I am gonna stay here and learn mines"

Ray went to the other side and started learning his lines, after a minute he got bored and looked up at Aaliyah, to see her pulling tedhe medhe cute faces whilst learning her lines and just kept staring at her and thought

My Dil goes mmmmhhhhh and muttered to himself "I wonder what her Dil goes…?"

Sapna and Sameer walked in, and were surprised with the site in front of them; Sapna and Sameer walked over to Ray and Sameer looked at Ray, who seemed to be lost in his own world.
"Aankhon main uski ajab si ajab si adayein hai" Sameer sang, whilst Sapna giggled.

Ray who was still in is dream land didn't realise and said "Sirf aankhon main nahin, uske tau poore chehre par ajeeb si adaayein hai"
"KYA" Sapna and Sameer said together.

Ray suddenly came out of his trance like state and realised what he had just said
"Huh…erm what? Er no nothing" Ray mumbled

"Nahi nahi, you were saying something about her ajeeb si adayein weren't you?" Sameer said nudging him.
"Nahi nahi, mein to sirf apni lines yaad kar raha tha" Ray said in defence
"Jab pyaar kiya tau darna kya?" Sapna said teasing him
"Di let me learn my lines. Warna woh bandit queen mujhe maregi"

Just then Aaliyah looked up from the other side of the room, and waved at Sapna and Sameer who waved back.

Sapna and Sameer left Ray to learn his lines and started practicing themselves.
"Sapna I cant do it Mujhse nahi hauga" Sameer insisted
"Sameer agar mujhe koi problem nahee hai, tau tume problem kyun horahi hai?" Sapna asked giggling.
"It's just a bit embarrassing" Sameer scratched the back of his head going red.

But their little discussion was soon to be interrupted by Atul and Anjali. Once again, they were heard before they were seen.
"Atul! I don't want any excuses. If you mess up in the performance, I swear I am going to kill you" Anjali said angrily to Atul as they entered the seminar room as well.
"How is it my fault if I can't get the right facial expressions?" Atul retorted

"Shut up Atul and let's practice now" Anjali said shoving his script at him.
Atul pulled a face behind her back as she started saying her lines.

"Maine 525 948.766 minutes har saal intezaar kiya tha" Anjali said her lines with perfect conviction.
"Wow! Anjali your math has improved so much" Atul said astonished, forgetting that she was just reciting her lines.
"ARGH…Atul!! I was saying my lines. This is the 5^th time you've interrupted me when saying my lines…That's it Atul main tumhe nahi chaudungi!" Anjali said scrunching her paper out of frustration.

"Anjali main to bas mazaak kar raha tha" Atul said scared
"That's it Atul….I'm giving you 10 seconds to run" Anjali said looking at her watch
"Nahee Anjali main to buss aisa hi-"
"5..4..3.."
Seeing that Anjali wasn't going to budge, Atul ran for his life.
"2…1" Anjali ran after him screaming "Main tumhe nahi chaudungi Atul!"

Armaan and Riddhima who had just finished their duty, were walking through the corridor, when he said "You know aaj hum Sahib Biwi aur Ghulam bangaye hai" Riddhima look puzzled and asked "Kya?"

Armaan explained that Atul, he and Ray were like sahib; Ridz and Aaliyah were biwis and Anjali a ghulam. Ridz smacked him and said "Shush… superman tum na…"

They walked into the seminar room to be greeted by the funniest sight possible.
"What scene are we going to practice today?" Riddhima asked Armaan as she put her pager away in her pocket.
"Forget that…look at this" Armaan said making her look up at the room.

Riddhima giggled at the site she saw

"Sapna and Sameer never leave a chance to look into each others eyes" Armaan said as they looked at Sapna and Sameer gazing into each others eyes.
"I think it's their own secret code language" Riddhima said laughing slightly "How do they work with each other, they might end up looking in each others eyes"

"In dono kau choro…look at Ray and Aaliyah" Armaan said pointing towards them
Aaliyah was muttering her lines to herself, whilst making funny facial expressions
"Look at the funny faces Aaliyah is making" Riddhima said laughing

"Look at the funny face Ray is making" Armaan laughed
Rehaan was sitting on the opposite side of the room, staring at Aaliyah with googly lovey dovey eyes.

"I think Ray kau Aaliyah se pyaar hogaya, lagta hai sacchi main shaadi karne ka irada hai" Armaan said laughing at Ray's state. "Dobhi ka kutta, na ghar ka, na ghaat ka"
"Armaan! Look at Anjali di and Atul" Riddhima said

Anjali and Atul were running around the room. Actually, it was more like; Anjali was chasing Atul around the room.
"They look like Tom and Jerry" Armaan said laughing as Atul came running past them.

"Armaan! We should be practicing" Riddhima said dragging Armaan into the room. "What part are we going to be practicing?" she asked taking her script out. Armaan grabbed her script and put it on the chair.

"We're not going to need the script for this part" Armaan said grabbing her waist and pulling her closer.

"Armaan what are you doing?" Riddhima said a bit uncomfortable as his hands held her waist. She could feel his heartbeat drumming slightly against hers, which made the blood rise up to her cheeks.

"We are practicing this scene" Armaan said winking at her. Placing one of her hands around his neck and holding her other hand in his, tightening his grip on her waist. They slowly started waltzing around the floor, both lost in each other's eyes. He then twirled her around away from him, only to bring her back in his arms. They danced together in each other's arm, it is said that practice makes perfect but how can one improve perfection.

They moved swiftly across the floor, they were entwined together as two bodies with one soul, letting go of her hand, he slowly trailed his fingers along her arm making her tremble. She broke his gaze and looked down, seeing this, he smiled to himself and pulled her even closer by her waist.

While they continued dancing, Ray snapped out of his daze and looked around him in amazement, he moved to where Aaliyah was and took a seat next to her, he saw her frowning, but before she could start shouting he quickly said

"Don't worry, maine apne lines yaad karli hai, and I promise I'll try and watch it today" Ray said giving her his cute sweet smile.
She smiled looking at his cute face and said "I am sorry for being rude earlier"
He saw her charming smile, and said "Look around you, I think Lowe is in the air"

She looked around to see Atul massaging Anjali's feet; Anjali had tripped over while running after him. Sameer and Sapna were sitting next to each other reading their scripts, while stealing sweet glances at each other. Armaan and Riddhima were still dancing, breaking all their inhibitions whilst closing their proximity. He followed her gaze around the room, and then said looking at her "Tum kab mere pyaar kau samjhogi Aaliyah"

His intense stare was making her feel uneasy, but for some reason she did not want to shout at him.
"Rehaan tum na, stop joking" She said slightly blushing, which was noticed by Ray who was slightly surprised but happy and thought

GUPTA RESIDENCE

Anjali and Riddhima after changing into their pyjamas were laying out the dishes on the table. Whilst Padma was bringing the food in from the kitchen

"Beta…I've been hearing stuff going around the hospital" Padma said as they all sat down on the dining table. Riddhima and Anjali looked at each other shocked.

"K-Kya sunna aapne Ma?" Riddhima asked cautiously

"Oh nothing interesting….I just heard that Aaliyah and Rehaan got married and you and Armaan got married….when were you panning to tell me that Armaan was my damaad?" Padma said sarcastically

"Erm…Ma...I swear none of it is true" Anjali said sticking up for Ridz.

"Yeah Ma, this was all just a joke…it was a dare" Riddhima said nodding vigorously

"Beta calm down…mujhe pata tha…kuch aisa hee hoga… Good thing your father isn't in town" Padma said laughing.

"But I wouldn't mind having him as my damad, kaafi cute aur handsome hai, thoda bacchpana hai…lekin he's very sweet, aur hum dono ki bauhat banti hai, we make a good team and most important you and him look very cute together" She continued whilst pulling her cheek.

Anjali joined her mum in teasing Ridz and said "You know, mum's right…you do make a great couple…Armaan jiju… sounds nice na" giving a hi-five to her mum.

"Mummm….Diii" Riddhima whined. Just then the house phone rang; she quickly went to pick it up to avoid any more teasing, whilst Padma and Anjali just laughed.

"Hello Riddhima, miss me?" the voice over the phone said

"Oh my god!! You called! Jaa im not talking to you…how long has it been since I heard from you? When did you get back from London?…or are you still there?" Riddhima fired all at once

"My sweet sticky jalebi calm down. Breathe and then ask questions…one by one" The person said laughing

"Okay okay…I'll start from the beginning laddoo" Riddhima laughed as well. They had a lot to catch up on.
