soon every single first year student was accustomed with the ragging.They felt it's best not to incur the wrath of the seniors n obediently follow their demands.
Ridz being the sensible types also realized this,but she wasn't happy or satified coz spending every night in the morgue meant,LOSS of her studies....she believed in night-time studies...n now for one month she had to sacrifice that.Ridz being "Ridz" didn't want to make a bad impression on her proffessors in the very first month, n it seemed that her fears would come true because she she couldn't keep wid wid her regular studies as well as the extra course work due to the ragging business...
she decided to talk to one of the seniors about it,the following night.She decided to request them to allow her to stay in the morgue for only 2-3 hrs,so that she could then go back and complete her studies...

That night it was Rahul's turn to supervise and check whether Ridz was obeying her orders or not...(Rahul was a member of armaan's gang but very differnt from armaan.He behaved in a rowdy and harsh manner with others but was a real softy at heart.Right on time,Ridz reached the morgue at 12 in the midnight,She saw Rahul standing there,n went up to him bravely n well-determined to say what she wanted to say...
Rahul:-Yeh koi time hai aane ka(rudely),main tumhara PA nahin hoon,ki intezaar karta rahoonga,even i have my work to do..
Ridz:-sorry sir,Actually i wanted to request u sumthing....
Rahul:-(bored look on his face),Wt is it??Jaldi bolo,itna fijul ka time nahin hai mere paas,ki EK FIRST YEAR STUDENT KI BAAT SUNU!!!!!
Ridz told her problem without any hesitation or fear.She wsa very confident about what she said.(this is always the case wid her,if she means sumthing ,she isn't scared of any damn person in the world,n will convey wt she wants to say!!!)
Rahul was taken aback for a moment,but he didn't show it...He thought what guts this FACHCHI(first year bachchi) has,to care more about her studies and professors than wt will happen to her if she disobeys the ragging business!!!
he thought wickedly,Let me suggest her sumthing 😉 .....
Rahul:-(sweetly)ok,i understand ur problem,talk to Armaan abt this 2morrow,spend today's night sumhow!!(he thought to himself,Armaan won't leave her if she flouts his orders.... 😃 grinning in his mind ,he lift)
Ridz was a little bewildered at this behaviour,she hadn't expected everything to go smoothly,"anyways",she thought ,the real problem comes tomorrow to face "Armaan".....wid these chain of thoughts she went inside for one more night...

Meanwhile while going back to men's hostel,Rahul was thinking"That junior Ridhdhima or wtevr her name is ,has some Spark in her,I could Sense it in her eyes as well as her voice....The was she looked in my eyes directly without any fear...i hvn't seen this earlier in my 4 years at the college,well-well,the real fun will come tomorrow...when she faces ARMAAN,ek Sher toh doosra Sawa Sher....)

NEXT MORNING,Ridz attended her classes as usual......with a lot of apprehension in her mind about facing Armaan....She cudn't even recall how he looked like,after all,she had seen him only once during the ragging.....but being a confident girl,every mmoment she tried to brush away her fears thinking them to be baseless)
BREAK TIME,
Ridz and Sapna conversing wid each other...
Sapna:-Ek baar phir soch le,tu sach mein milna chahti hai us ARMAAN se...!!
Ridz:-"Us ARMAAN" se,ka kya matlab hai....

They were walking towards the 4th year classroom,when Ridz say Rahul...walking wid one of his friends....
Ridz:-Rahul...SIR!!!!!
Rahul?:-Uh OH!! You,The morgue wali,wass the matter,can't u seee im busy!!!!
Ridz:-Sir,u told me to meet Armaan sir,so could u plz tell where is he???

Ridz was getting flutterings in the stomach but she didn't show it at all...she managed to have that usual confident look on her..

The bunch of boys and girls cleared,n Ridz eyes fell on the same guy on whom her eyes had halted the first time she had seen him...."This is Armaan",she thought!!!Her heart skipped a beat as it had,the first time.....she cudn't help noticing how handsome he looked-there was no AIR of sophistication!!!he look was that of a casual one...with slightly ruffled hair...a little unkempt stubble,extremely fair,n wearing black denims and a plain white T-shirt!!!(Shit man,wt am i thinking...she felt disgusted at herself for noticing such crude things abt Armaan,at the first instance....All this is totally SHIT...she reminded herself...don't u remember wt happened at school..how cud u even forget it....Get a grip on urself)..while she wsa lost in the fight within her,a deep voice suddenly brought her back to senses...
Armaan:-"YES",What do u have to say to me...... 😆 Don't waste my time.... 😡
Ridz:-(regaining her equilibrium)Armaan sir,I have a request to make to you(she started off carefully,coz she was getting jitters seeing all those bunch of seniors....sumthing she had never felt her entire life...she didn't want to get on the wrong side of Armaan or others....)...
Armaan:-Wt is it!!! HOLY CRAP!!!!!
Ridz:-(feeling a bit annoyed....noone had been ever so rude to her like armaan...n that too without any reason,nonethewhile...)She told wtever she had told Rahul...n waited patiently
Sapna on the otherhand,didn't open her mouth,she was just trying to show some moral-support to Ridz without Speaking........
Meanwhile,rahul's gaze had constantly been on Ridz,he was sumhow getting enchanted by her confidence, mixed with a bit of nervousness,he didn't understand it but found it bewitching.....Also,he cudn't help noticing how pretty Ridz actually is....even in simple capri,a casual top n open hair....she looked sumthing out of this world!!!
Armaan:-You mean to say,that u want to disobey MY ORDERS!!!R U CRAZY OR OUT OF YOUR BONKERS!!!!He and his friends laughed as on cue....
Ridz:-Please sir,just allow me to stay for a few hrs instead of whole night!!!
Armaan:-NO<who the hell do u think ur,Ur nothing special Tht "I",Armaan should listen to you....You are a non-entity....non-existent creature.....ur of no importance to me or my friends....So why shud we show any consideration to u!!!!

The whole canteen had gone quiet....There was pin-drop-silence......A first year student and that too a girl.....shouting at THE ARMAAN-seemed like EIGHT WONDER OF THE WORLD....all were thinking,the girl is gone now....she is dead..........ARMAAN won't leave her....
Even ARMAAN,RAHUL and their friends were stunned beyond limit......

RAhul motioned ridz and sapna to go away,he hadn't expected things would get so worse...

And then started the month long tirade of ARMAAN and RIDDHIMA against each other.Both cudn't stand each other,whenever they used to come aamne-saamne nothing less than insults or bad mouthing would start.....armaan always had his gang wid him,he never left a single oppurtunity to throw insults on riddhima,and all of them were downright mean and cheap......he played all sorts of wild pranks on her...and tried to make her life a living hell!!!!
riddhima on the other hand was no less,she was always valiantly backed up by her frnds-saagar ,ananya and atul who although were 1st yr-juniors yet loved their friend a lott...they knew they cudn't do much but they would provoke armaan to deal with them instead of riddhima by saying things like-"ladkiyon se kya ladta hai,itna dum hai,toh show that to us!!"Riddhima bore a NO-NONSENSE attitude towards him....whenever she got a chance she would tell him wt she thought of him n his attitude...she being a girl and that too a sensible one tried to make him see the right thing in wtever she said....
But armaan had ears and eyes for noone..All he cared was abt his reputation in the college.He was valiantly backed by some of his gang members and one of them was ANJALI MITTAl(rich,spoilt brat of Mr.Sunil Mittal-one of the leading business tycoons of mumbai....she harboured a secret crush or luv....lust...wtever on armaan and didn't like to sumone like riddhima disobeying and disrespecting him.....moreover she tried to always poison his mind abt riddhima coz now she was a bit insecured as she believed that hate cud always turn into luv...she was afraid to think abt the outcome...of armaan falling for riddhima....so being selfish and self-centred as always...she channelized all her energy towards keeping armaan away from riddhima...)
Their rivalry was now a regular news in the college....althouh the entire college had really been excited in the beginning(according to human tendency),to see CLASH OF THE TITANS,yet after a month or so all of them were bored......they had much more important news and gossips......
ALSO,the FRESHER'S BALL for the first year students was soon approaching as per the tradition of ST.PATRICK'S college...The FRESHER'S BALL was always held after 2 months from the commencement of the new course...to give time to all the new students to settle down(including after ragging)......
Everywhere in the college,the mood was of Fresher's balll.The seniors had to attend it as per trdaition, n obviously the FIRST-YEARS were the main invitees....
All the first-years were particularly excited and in the weeks preceding the ball,there were no new topics among the boys and the girla apart from this....
But ARMAAN and Ridz cud have craed less...ALL they cared abt was their arch rivalry.....never ending bickering.....throwing dagger looks to each other had become a part of their regular curriculum.....
It was during these periods that RAhul wud serve as a mediator...n try to placate bothe the parties.......Deep in his heart he had developed an aatachment for riddhima but he had to support her without making it obvious in front of Armaan...he befriended her in secret so that armaan wudn't come to know.....and sumtimes did tell her if armaan was going to play a cheap prank ...or stuff...
Then once armaan and his frnds crossed their limits.....In their enthusiasm and fanatism of insulting ridz they forgot the basic sense of humanity...They tried to spill some dirt on riddhima's character in order to silence her forever ......they nearly succeded but all thanks to rahul,the plan wasn't accomplished fully.......
Ridz and her frnds were totally shocked this time......they hadn't even imagined in their wildest dreams ki Armaan wud do this,after all we all believe that there is a basic goodness in every human-being....
Ridz morale was broken completely....she was totally disheartened at such an act of armaan.....it was at this time that aprat from Sapna and her friends,RAHUL supported her...He explained her that there was no gain from this enmity and that only ridz cud put an end to it..

Then from the next day Onwards MIRACLE HAPPENED...Ridz strted ignoring armaan from her side....she paid no heed to armaan's continuous mutterings and comments....armaan didn't realize this at first but gradually over the next few days,he realized ki kuch toh gadbad hai.....since the last two weeks i hv been constantly insulting Riddhima but haven't got a single response from her....Now he came to realize even further that he actually hadn't heard her open her mouth at all in front of him...he was a bit bewildered...n confused....coz he cudn't understand why wasn't she responding even though he continued wid his insults......he decided to ignore....but after another week he cudn't igniore it anymore...Riddhima just didn't open her mouth.....sumtimes she gave just a plain look to him n left.........he decided to stop everything...n gte over wid it..moreover he also realized that riddhima's new behaviour had strted after he had tried to blemish her chracter.....he felt a little guilty coz he realized tht he had never stooped so low earlier at all.....But being ARMAAAN,he just laughed at himself n said "holy crap,im not going to feel sorry or guilty abt tht girl,bhaad mein jaaye"......
Soon the day of FRESHER'S BALL approached.....everyone was dressed to their best as it was their one chance to let their hair down..
meanwhile riddhima had also recovered from her schock in the past 3weeks and was quite her earlier self...she and sapna alongwith nikhita,poorva...n others chatted n dressed enthusiastically........as 7pm approached they all went towards ST PATRICK'S hall...where the ball was going to be held...The atmosphere was that of livliness,laughter,music ,fun ,,,masti...n dhoom....Everyone was in their best mood...they soon met atul,ananya,saagar,ankit and others and strted cracking jokes......all were looking simple gr8..THe theme was red for girls n blac for the boys...
Ridz was looking stunning in a backless red evening gown wid loads of sequins.....her face was radiant....and had a rosy glow......she looked simply mindblowing......
As the ball strted,everyone was called to the dance floor-the first year students......the seniors had already settled themselves in tables.....
before Ridz cud reach the dance-floor,rahul came to her...actually the moment he had seen ridz he hadn't been able to control himself....he felt desires waking up....n cudn't remove his gaze from her face....he complimented her n before he cud ssay anything else he was hauled up by one of his frnds..
Ridz strted dancing wid Ananya,they waltzed across the wooden-floor,suddenly ridz eyes fell on armaan(who was looking drop dead gorgeous in his black armaani-suit),who was sitting wid anjali and 3-4 of his frnds on a table....she found herself staring straight into his eyes....(armaan had actually long noticed her....and cudn't help complimenting her in his mind...he did it subconsciously......he just kept on looking at her long tresses,the evening gown fitting her perfectly.....he noticed a new riddhima for the first time.....he noticed her innocence.her laughter,her equation wid her frnds.......n then even he found himself staring into her eyes suddenly..)
Ridz felt a strong dislike developing inside her n she looked away.....
The song changed and Then RAhul came up to riddhima n asked her for a dance.....the song was:-"BAHON KE DARMIYAN,DO PYAAR MIL RAHE HAIN"
Rahul was mesmerized by her...and ridz was comfortable wid him just like any other frnd....
BUT ARMAAN was a little disturbed....sumhow he didn't like Ridz in Rahul's arm...he had eventually come to know know that rahul and ridz were great frnds,but he had decided to stay out of it,rahul was one of his closest frnds n armaan didn't want to bring Riddhima b/w them also...But still he didn't like the way they were chatting animatedly and dancing...he didn't like the comfort level b/t them....he din't like the way they held each other...Sub-consciously...he clenched his fist....n then anjalii woke him from his thoughts...asking for a dance....he had no mood but a sudden longing came in him to go to the dance floor n be close to riddhima,so after much reluctance he sais yes,.......Anjali steered him as far as possible away from rahul-ridz,but armaan kept on trying to catch a glance...n wen he realized it was possible,in thi crowd he danced wid anjali.....
But fate intervened...in a whirlwind of moments....rahul was asked by poorva to dance wid her n anjali was whisked away by one of her batchmates....Ridz and armaan found themselves in front of each other n tht too without partners....
The song changed again..it was yet another soft romantic number-"DO DIL MIL RAHEIN HAIN,MAGAR CHUPKE-CHUPKE"(PARDES)
Ridz simply stood not knowing wt to do,,,,in the past 3weeks her senses failed her for the first time....ARmaan didn't know wt to do...there was silence b/w them......their was an awkwardness.....there was a hesitancy..........n in those unspoken moments...both of them felt sumthing.....armaan's hands went directly towrads ridz's waist n hand.....The moment he held her hand in his and touched her waist....she seemed to come out of a reverie.....she realized tht she was almost abt to dance wid armaan...she felt that disgust in herself agsin.....glanced here and there.........she threw a look of deepest loathing at armaan n ran away as fast as she cud....

Us hug ne naa jaane rahul mein ek anjaana ehsaas bhar diya....men's hostel ki taraf jaate hue,he was continuously smiling....n he realized ki ab uski feeling frndship se bahut zyada badh gayi hai...but he still wasn't sure ki woh usse kya naam de...


Then from the next day Onwards MIRACLE HAPPENED...Ridz strted ignoring armaan from her side....she paid no heed to armaan's continuous mutterings and comments....armaan didn't realize this at first but gradually over the next few days,he realized ki kuch toh gadbad hai.....since the last two weeks i hv been constantly insulting Riddhima but haven't got a single response from her....Now he came to realize even further that he actually hadn't heard her open her mouth at all in front of him...he was a bit bewildered...n confused....coz he cudn't understand why wasn't she responding even though he continued wid his insults......he decided to ignore....but after another week he cudn't igniore it anymore...Riddhima just didn't open her mouth.....sumtimes she gave just a plain look to him n left.........he decided to stop everything...n gte over wid it..moreover he also realized that riddhima's new behaviour had strted after he had tried to blemish her chracter.....he felt a little guilty coz he realized tht he had never stooped so low earlier at all.....But being ARMAAAN,he just laughed at himself n said "holy crap,im not going to feel sorry or guilty abt tht girl,bhaad mein jaaye"......
Soon the day of FRESHER'S BALL approached.....everyone was dressed to their best as it was their one chance to let their hair down..
meanwhile riddhima had also recovered from her schock in the past 3weeks and was quite her earlier self...she and sapna alongwith nikhita,poorva...n others chatted n dressed enthusiastically........as 7pm approached they all went towards ST PATRICK'S hall...where the ball was going to be held...The atmosphere was that of livliness,laughter,music ,fun ,,,masti...n dhoom....Everyone was in their best mood...they soon met atul,ananya,saagar,ankit and others and strted cracking jokes......all were looking simple gr8..THe theme was red for girls n blac for the boys...
Ridz was looking stunning in a backless red evening gown wid loads of sequins.....her face was radiant....and had a rosy glow......she looked simply mindblowing......
As the ball strted,everyone was called to the dance floor-the first year students......the seniors had already settled themselves in tables.....
before Ridz cud reach the dance-floor,rahul came to her...actually the moment he had seen ridz he hadn't been able to control himself....he felt desires waking up....n cudn't remove his gaze from her face....he complimented her n before he cud ssay anything else he was hauled up by one of his frnds..
Ridz strted dancing wid Ananya,they waltzed across the wooden-floor,suddenly ridz eyes fell on armaan(who was looking drop dead gorgeous in his black armaani-suit),who was sitting wid anjali and 3-4 of his frnds on a table....she found herself staring straight into his eyes....(armaan had actually long noticed her....and cudn't help complimenting her in his mind...he did it subconsciously......he just kept on looking at her long tresses,the evening gown fitting her perfectly.....he noticed a new riddhima for the first time.....he noticed her innocence.her laughter,her equation wid her frnds.......n then even he found himself staring into her eyes suddenly..)
Ridz felt a strong dislike developing inside her n she looked away.....
The song changed and Then RAhul came up to riddhima n asked her for a dance.....the song was:-"BAHON KE DARMIYAN,DO PYAAR MIL RAHE HAIN"
Rahul was mesmerized by her...and ridz was comfortable wid him just like any other frnd....
BUT ARMAAN was a little disturbed....sumhow he didn't like Ridz in Rahul's arm...he had eventually come to know know that rahul and ridz were great frnds,but he had decided to stay out of it,rahul was one of his closest frnds n armaan didn't want to bring Riddhima b/w them also...But still he didn't like the way they were chatting animatedly and dancing...he didn't like the comfort level b/t them....he din't like the way they held each other...Sub-consciously...he clenched his fist....n then anjalii woke him from his thoughts...asking for a dance....he had no mood but a sudden longing came in him to go to the dance floor n be close to riddhima,so after much reluctance he sais yes,.......Anjali steered him as far as possible away from rahul-ridz,but armaan kept on trying to catch a glance...n wen he realized it was possible,in thi crowd he danced wid anjali.....
But fate intervened...in a whirlwind of moments....rahul was asked by poorva to dance wid her n anjali was whisked away by one of her batchmates....Ridz and armaan found themselves in front of each other n tht too without partners....
The song changed again..it was yet another soft romantic number-"DO DIL MIL RAHEIN HAIN,MAGAR CHUPKE-CHUPKE"(PARDES)
Ridz simply stood not knowing wt to do,,,,in the past 3weeks her senses failed her for the first time....ARmaan didn't know wt to do...there was silence b/w them......their was an awkwardness.....there was a hesitancy..........n in those unspoken moments...both of them felt sumthing.....armaan's hands went directly towrads ridz's waist n hand.....The moment he held her hand in his and touched her waist....she seemed to come out of a reverie.....she realized tht she was almost abt to dance wid armaan...she felt that disgust in herself agsin.....glanced here and there.........she threw a look of deepest loathing at armaan n ran away as fast as she cud....
