Chap 15

So far..
Ganga and saahil reach the plot location to find Rishabh and tripti with the clients..
After some confrontations,tripti gets hold of the check and we hear two gun shots..both the guns in the hands on ganga and tripti fall…
Now..

Ganga is shocked and turns around and looks at saahil and lakshya…the police rush in…ganga slowly drops to the ground..and so does rishabh…saahil, lakshya, mihir and tulsi rush towards ganga..and the police arrest Tripti…saahil takes Ganga's head in his hand looks down at her closed eyes…and bleeding head..and is shocked..lakshya cries and so does Mihir and tulsi…the police come to rishabh and check for his pulses and declare him dead…they check Ganga and find avery feeble pulse…immediately all of them rush her to the hospital…

Tripti is locked up in the police station..and the whole Virani family is in Nanavati hospital. Ganga is put in the ICU and the senior doctor comes to them…
Doc: Mr.Virani?
Everyone looks up..and Saahil rushes to the doc along with Lakshya
S: Hain Doctor, kaisi hai Ganga?
Doc: Bahut hi gambhir halat hai..bullet dimag mein nahi hai, lekin, kafi nerve damage ho sakta hai..kyon ki, bullet sar temporal lobe ko scratch karte hua, occipital lobe se bahar a gayi hai..is liye, immediately operation karna padeg. Hamare sabse best Neurosurgeon a rahe hai…
S: Ganga theek to ho jayegi na Doctor?
Doctor looks down and then looks at everyone, everyone is scared..
Doc: Well, since kafi gahri nervous bleeding hui hai, shayad wohh theek se dekh nahi payegi, depending on kaun se nerves mein damage hua hai..aur shayad unko kuch hearing loss with severe headaches ho skata hai…
Saahil staggers and sits down on the floor…Mihir comes to him and helps him out and talks to the Doctor..
M: Doctor Sahab, apse jo ban padta hai, aap kijiye, paise ki chinta mat kijiye..
Doc: Theek hai…operation ek ghante mein suru hoga…
And the Doc leaves…

Mihir helps saahil sit in the chair and tries to console him..
M: Sambhalo apne ap ko Saahil..tum agar is tarah toot jaoge, to lakshya or nakul ka khayal kaun rakhega?
Saahil looks on blankly crying and remembering his marriage vows.."kabhi na saath chodne ka" and then remembers Ganga's vow of " Agar mauth aye , to who pahle mujhe le jaye.."and breaksdown..lakshya sits beside him..
L: papa…Mom itne saal hamare saath na hote hua bhi hamare liya sab kuch de gayi..
Unhein kuch nahi hoga papa…plz aap dhiraj rakhiye..
S: Yahi meri sazza hai Lakshya…hire ko parakh nahi paya mein…pachees saal pahle ki hui galti ka hi natija hai yeh…tripti mujhe itni badi dhoka de jayegi, meine socha bhi nahi tha….Ganga ne hamesha mujhe rokna chaha…par meine kya kiya..usse aaj is halat tak le aya..
L: Papa please apne aap ko zimmedar mat thahraeye…Tripti Mom to hamein kabhi pyaar hi nahi karti thi…
S: Mom maat kaho usse! Nahi hai wohh tum hari Mom..sirf aur sirf Ganga hai tumhari Mom…Gangaaa….
And Saahil breaksdown…Tulsi walks upto him and isharoin se tells lakshya to leave..
T: Saahil beta, apne aap ko dosh maat do..age ki socho…ganga ko zaroorat hai tumhari..hum sabh ki,,bahur kiya hai usne hamare liye..fir kabhi use akele maat chodna..
S: Apni jaan dedunga Badi Ma, par Ganga pe abse ek anch bhi ane nahi dunga..
Is Zindagi mein, maine bahut galtiyain kiye hain..abse sirf uska prayaschit hoga..ganga ko wohh saab wapas milega, jo hamesha sirf usika tha…
Tulsi holds Saahil and comforts him..
Mihir tells KT, Damini and Tanya to take Baa home and to get some rest…he tells Ekalavya to accompany them..karan walks up to Mihir..
K: Papa..mein jake paisoin ka bandobast kareke ata huin..
And he goes to Tanya…before she leaves
K: Tanya…
T: Hain Karan?
K: Wohh…operation ke liye paisa chahiye..wohh..check book agar tum ekalavya ke saath bhej deti to accha hota..
T: Ganga ka apna paisa haina uske paas? Phir tum kyon meharbaan ho rahe ho? Gharwaloin ko paraya bananein mein mahir ho, aur parayoin ko apnanein mein!
K: (Shouts) Tanya!
T: Chikho maat Karan! Mein paisa nahi de sakti!
K: To phir yahain ayi kyon thi?
T: wohh to Damini ne kaha isliye!
K: Sharam nahi ati tumhein? Kaisi aurat ho?
T: Karan, samjhne ki koshish karo..
K: Nahi Tanya, aaj is ghar ko bachane ke liye, Ganga ne apni jaan ki parwah tak nahi ki..aur tum??aur kitna girogi Tanya?
T: Baas Karan! Meine kah diya na! Baas, nahi de sakti mein Paisa..
At the same time, Nandini walks in…
N: Mein dungi paisa…Ganga meri dost hi nahi, bahan jaisi hai…
T: lo, ek baiti ghat par, to doosri chali teri ahaat par!
Saahil walks upto Tanya…holds her hand..turns her towards him, and gives her one tight slap!
Tanya and everyone is shocked….
S: Tanya, koi wahain tumhari parivar ko bachane ke loye,apne jaan pe khel gaya, aur tumse itna bhi nahi banta ki tum uski izzat karo? Chi!
K: Saahil…sambhalo apne aap ko..
Tanya is enraged…
T: Karan, tumhare bhai ne, mujh par haat uthaya aur, tum chup chaap dekhte rahe?? Tumne kabse choodiyan pahan li?
Karan gets furious and raises his hand, but before he can hit, Nandini holds his hand…
N: Nahi Karan…
Another Doctor comes there hearing the commotion..
Doc: yeh kya tamasha khada kar rakha hai apne! Yeh apka ghar nahi hai! Yahain aur bhi patients hain..please ap log shaant rahi ye!!

Tanya looks at Nandini and Karan with all her fury and storms out of the hospital..
In the Police Station…
Tripti is given clothes to change to prison attire, she shouts and screams and curses everyone! The Police officer comes there…
PO: Ye…Chup…ek dum chup..bahut garam khoon hai na tera? Bees saal salakhoin ke peeche rahegi na, to saab thanda ho jayega!
T: Ayee!! Khabardar jo mujhe is tarah baat ki toh! Tujhe maloom nahi mein kaun huin!
PO: zaroorat bhi nahi hai! Jo bhi hai, kafi bewakuf hai, warna police station mein apni tariff nahi karti..aur waise tu mere liye to sirf…Mujrim hai….Ha ha ha ha…
Le jao isse…
T: Waise yeh to bataye..ki meri nishana lagi kisko..Ganga ko ya rishabh ko…ek ter se do do panchi!
PO: Bahut bolti hai tu! Chup chaap jati hai yah…
Tripti leaves…
The constables asks the same question as tripti had..
C: Sirji, yeh kissa bada anokha hai…katil khud hi nishana bana?
PO:Nahi, Is Tripti Virani ne, Ganga Virani par goli chalaye..aur Goli ke shock ne, reflex mein, unke haath ke bandook chal gayi, jisse Rishabh Malhotra ka maut hua!
C: Arey waah! Yeh to ajeeb khel hai!
PO: Dekhna to ab yeh hai, ki Wohh Ganga Virani bachti hai ya nahi..Hospital se kuch khabar ayi?
C: Ji nahi..abhi bhi operation chal raha hai!Hamein hosh ate hi khabar mil jayegi..
PO: Accha hai…taiaar rahna…hamein Ganga Virani ko Rishabh ke Katle ke jurm mein giraftar karna hai!

Tripti overhears the conversation..and smiles evilly!

Chap 16

In the hospital, Ganga is undergoing operations, in the hands of neurosurgeons. The doctors are tensed as the nerves are close to the brain and a single mistake can cause disastrous results…there are about 10 people in the OT and the operation has been going on for about 2 hours now. The main surgeon looks up at the other doctor…
Surgeon: This is how much can be done, anything more, can make her blind and deaf.
Doc: I agree, after she heals, we can do laser treatment and rectify even more of her eye sight.
Surgeon: Well, it was my pleasure working with you all.
He leaves the OT and comes out along with the Doc…

Saahil, Mihir, Tulsi, lakshya, nakul, KT and Ekalavya are just outside..everyone except Saahil, who was pacing around, nervously. The docs come out…
Saahil and everyone rushes towards them..
S: Doc..Ganga kaisi hai aab?
Sur: Well Mr.Virani, khatre se bahar hai, lekin 48 hours ham nigrani mein rakhenge.
Doc: Hain, operation was successful, but hamein apko yeh bhi batana padega, ki, unki right eye kafi kamzor ho gayi hai..dekh to payegi, par dhundli..aur taiz roshni se door rakhna hoga..
Saahil and everyone is shocked…Saahil sits down in despair and holds his head in his hand…the doctors leave.Tulsi comes to Saahil..
T: Saahil beta, ghabrao maat, Ganga meri beti hai, thakurji uska khayal rakhenge..ham uske poora khayal rakhenge…
Saahil sobs silently..
Karan and Nandini walk up to them..
K: Saari financial formalities poori ho chuki hai…
Saahil stands up..
S: karan, mein tumhara yeh ahsaan, kaise chukaunga?
K: Ganga ne, hamare parivar ke liya, parivar ka na ho kar bhi, apni jaan dene se nahi ghabaraye..yeh to mera, aur hum sab ka farz banta hai ki hum uska poori taraf se khayal rakhe…tum socho maat, is muskhil waqt par, hum sab tumhare saath hain!
Tulsi gets up and thinks aloud..
T: Jis aurat ko Gayatri chachi ne apna bahu banake ghar laye, kisi ne ek baar bhi nahi socha hoga, ki who itna bada daga degi! Saahil ne to apna sab kuch usse de diya tha..aur kisna aur nakul to usi ko apna Ma mante tha…par, aaj usne dikha hi diya..kaun apna hai, aur kaun paraya!
Nandini comes to Tulsi..
N: Ma, aap unsab chizoin ke bare mein sochiye maat…please…sab theek ho jayega..baas, ab hamein dhyan rakhna hai ki Ganga ki tabiyat jald se jald theek ho jaye!
T: hain Nandini, tum theek kah rahi ho..
N: karan, mujhe ab chalna chahiye…der ho rahi hai..
Saahil gets up..
S: Nandini, kaise shukriya ada karuin tumhara..
N: Agar Ganga ke jagah mein hoti, to Ganga bhi meri liya, bejhijak madat karti..meine baas apna farz nibhaya hai…
She holds Saahil's hand and comforts him and leaves…Karan follows her out..
K: Nandini..
Nandini turns back as she is about to enter her car..
N: hain karan bolo…
K: Kyon hamari kismet, hamein baar baar ek doosre ke saath , aise dorahe par khada kar deti hai, jahain, hamein saath chalne ke liya majboor kar deti hai?
N: Tabhi to wohh Kimet hai karan! Jis par, hamara, koi raub nahi chalta hain..
K: Fir uparwale ne hamein alag kyon kiya..wohh bhi kismet hi tha na?
N: Jo tha, wohh tha Karan, sacchai yeh hai, ki Tanya tumhari patni hai, aur mein sirf tumhari dost.
K: Nahi…aur nahi! Is Karvachaut ke din, mere liye vrath rakhogi bhi tum, aur todunga use mein! Yehi kismet hai!
And Karan stroms into the hospital again.
Nandini thinks to herself..chati to mein bhi yahin huin karan, ki mein fir se, tumhari hi suhagan banu, tumhare liye vrath rakhuin, par yeh bhi kismet ka hi khel hai..jo aaj mein tumhari patni na hokar tumhari dost huin…
Someone claps from behind…
Nandini turns around..
Tanya smiles and keeps clapping.
T: Waah kya baat hai, Nandini! Kya baat hai! Mere pati ko mujhse chinne ke liye poori taiyari kar li hai na tumne…
N: Tum mujhe fir galat samajh rahi ho Tanya.
T: galat to tum ho Nandini! Jo hamesha, mere aur karan ke beech aa jati ho! Kya zaroorat hai tumhain baar baar hamri zindagi mein chale aneka??
N: Baas Tanya! Baas! Aaj tak, mein tumhari batein chup chap sunti rahi!aur nahi! Karan ko pana agar mera maksad hota Tanya, to mein use kab ki pa chuki hoti, kyon ki, wohh to kabhi tumhara tha hi nahi! Mein aisa kabhi nahi kiya, blaki hamesha kahti rahi, ki sirf aur sirf tum us ghar ki bahu aur karan ki biwi ho! Par, sach to yeh hai, ki na tum biwi aur nahi bahu ban payi, tum itni zayad khudgarz ho gayi ho, ki tumhein kisi aur ka dukh aur dard dikhayi hi nahi deta! Tum wohh nahi, jo meri dost thi Tanya, tum, wakai mein, sirf ek sautan ho!hain, meri sautan! Par, daro maat, mein tumhare level tak girungi nahi! Karan ki zindagi mein sirf ek hi biwi hai, wohh ho tum, aur ek hi dost hai, wohh huin, mein. Tum kabhi na to uski dost ban paye, na uski biwi..
T: shouts..Nandini!
N: Awaz niche Tanya! Unchi awaz meri bhi kar sakti huin..pahle hi tumne hospital waloin ko dikha diya hai ki tum kis had tak ja sakti ho, chila chilla kar kahne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai! Aaj mere sabra ka band toot chukka hai Tanya! Sambhal sakti ho, to sambhal lo apne karan ko! Mein chahuin to wohh mera, ek pal mein ho sakta hai!

And Nandini leaves in her car, leaving a visibly and mentally stunned and shocked Tanya in the parking lot. Tulsi had been standing from around the corner and heard the whole conversation.. After Nandini leaves, she walks upto Tanya…Tanya stands by her car, angry and in thoughts..

Tu: Isi din ka darr tha mujhe..
Tanya turns ..
T: Kya Matlab?
Tu: Tune, hamesha nandini ko galat samjha, hamesha us paar ilzaam lagaya, par wohh chup rahi…aaj jab usne tumhein jawab diya, to mujhe khusi is baat ki hai, ki tumhain, sacchai pata chala..par kash tum yeh apne aap samajh jati.
T: Tulsi Ma. Apse mujhe koi shikayat nahi hai! Apne hamesha baharwaloin ka hi saath diya hai, aur gharwaloin ke khilaf khadi hui hai! Apse isse zayada mujhe koi umid nahi thi. Par, lecture ke liya, thanks.
She gets in her car and leaves. Tulsi is sad and goes in side.

In the waiting room..
M: Saahil, tum ab thodi der ke liya guest house chale jao..tulsi bhi ja rahi hai..aram karlo, mein, lakshya, aur baki sab yahain hai..
S: Par Bade papa..
T: nahi Saahil, chalo tum..
Ekalavya accompanies them to the guethouse and only Mihir, lakshya, nakul n KT remain at the guesthouse.
Baa calls up in KT's cell.
KT:Hello Badi Baa.
Baa: KT, ab Ganga kaisi hai?
KT: Thakurji ki kripa se, Ganga Ma, theek hai, lekin…
Baa: Pareshan mat ho meri bacchi..thakurji sab thik kar denge..
KT: Hain Baa..
Baa: Accha tum sab, jaldi wapas ajao..ghar mein pooja rakhna hai..
Kt: Ji badi baa..
And hangs up the phone.
Lakshya sits in a corner..almost teary..Nakul is pacing around..
Kt looks at them and goes to Lakshya…she gently places her hand on his shoulder..
Lakshya holds it tight and sobs slowly..
Lakshya is sitti on the sofa, KT bends down to face him, and sits in front of him..pulls his head up..and a tear falls on her hands…tears well up in her eyes as well.
KT: lakshya, please himmat mat haro…thakurji sab thik kar denge..
L: Pahle unhe mere jane ka sadma, ab yeh..yeh sab mere Ganga Mom ke saath hi kyon? Jis Ma ne, door ho kar bhi, hamesha, hamara bhala chaha..bhagwan ne usi ke saath…
KT: Bharosa rakho lakshya…aab Ganga Mom ko hamari zaroorat hai..hum, unhe ghar wapas layenge..
Lakshya holds KT's hands..and looks at KT with a sparkle in his eyes..
L: Unki Bahu unhe ghar layegi…
KT suddenly realizing, jerks her hands off and stands up…
L: kya hua KT…meine tu suna ki meri maut ki khabar sunkar tum behosh ho gayi thi..to aab?
KT whirls around and puts her hands over his mouth…with tears in her eyes…

Chap 17

Lakshya holds KT's hand, still over his mouth..and pulls her closer to him. It's already late in the evening, and the hospital is almost empty,spare thefew relatives of some patients…Nakul and Mihir left to get food for themselves n Lakshya-KT…
There is hardly an ich gap between lakshya and KT and lakshya his hands slowly on where KT's heart is almost pounding now.
L: Yeh Dil aaj bhi dhadkta hai, KT, mere liye! Janta huin mein…
KT keeps looking staright into his eyes..
L: Tum dilse sirf meri ho Krishna…aur koi tumhare is dil mein nahi bass sakta..
KT takes his hands in hers and looks down with a tear rolling down…She makes him sit on the chair.
KT:Lakshya, agar is duniya mein koi hai, jisko mein har roz dekhna chahti huin, to wohh tum ho, hain, agar koi hai, jiske liye mera yeh dil dhadkta hai, to wohh sirf tum ho, hain, agar mein kisi ke liye karvachaut ka vrath rakhna chahti huin, who sirf tum ho, sirf tum hi ho, jo kuch bole bina,, bhi meri dil ki batoin ko samjh sakte ho, meri nazaroin ko padh sakte ho…aur mein janti huin, ki tumhara dil bhi sirf mere liye dhadkta hai…
Lakshya: Fir yeh sab kyon?
KT: Mujhe khatam karne do Lakshya…par, in sab ke bawa jood, ek haqiqat yeh bhi hai, ki aaj mein tumhari biwi na hoke, tumhari bhabhi huin, ki aaj mein shaadi shuda huin, tum hare bade bhaiya ki biwi huin. Ekalavya mera pati hai Lakshya, dhoke se hi sahi..par mein apna kartavya palan karne mein majboor huin…mein majboor huin kismet ke hatoin..Meri ek bhool ki bhagwan ne mujhe bahut badi saza di hai..aur mein yeh saza bhugtne ke liye taiaar huin Lakshya, lekin, mujhe tumhara saath chahiye…
Lakshya holds KT's face in his hands..
L: kaise saath duin mein tumhara KT, jab tum kisi aur ke saath ho? Kaise is dil ko samjhun mein, ki tum meri kabhi nahi ban sakti..ki tum meri ho kar bhi meri nahi ho?Kaise KT kaise ? Tum chahti ho ki mein pathar ban jaun? Bolo KT, bolo!
(He stands up upset turns and looks at KT)
L: Nahi KT, tum mujhe bhola sakti ho, halat ko apna kismet bana sakti ho, aur haar man sakti ho, par mein nahi! Tulsi dadi ne, hamesha kaha hai ki, sacchai ke liye lado, aur, janti ho KT, mein ladunga! Tumhein pane ke liye mein ladunga..
KT hardens herself up…wipes her tears..and holds Lakshya's hand and drags him towards the small temple in the Hospital…
L: kya kar rahi ho KT..
KT keeps quite, drags him infront of the idol of Lord Ganesha, and says..
KT: Bolo Lakshya….bhagwan ko gawah banake bolo wohi jo tum abhi bol rahe the..kyon ki, usi bhagwan aur agni ko shakshi mann kar meri shaadi hui hain..hain, chal se hui hain!..par jo tum soch rahe ho, wohh lakshya Paap hai! Mein tumhari bhabhi huin aab..yahi saach hai..aur tum jitni jaldi mann lo, bahtar hai..
L: KT..usi agni ki kasam hai tumhein…bolo ki tum mujhe bhula chuki ho..kasam khake kaho ki, mera tumhara rishta srif dewar bhabhi ka hai..kaho na KT..
He takes her hand and puts it on his head…
L: Khao meri kasam aur kaho ki tum mujhe pyaar nahi karti..
KT is shocked and starts crying..
L: kaho na KT..kaho ki mein tumhara koi nahi lagta huin, kaho ki wohh hameri sare wade jhoote the, kaho ki tum mujhese pyaar nahi karti! Mein chala jaunga tumhari zindagi se…hamesha ke liye, phir kabhi pareshan nahi karunga!
KT takes her hands off his head and breaksdown completely…she sits on the floor and cries her lungs out…Lakshya sits down by her, holds her head, hugs her and cradles her, as she keeps crying…KT embraces Lakshya too…and rests her head on his shoulder and continues to weep…Ekalvya..who had been just come in from the guest house, sees them and is upset and shocked…he feels dejected..KT notices Ekalavya standing at the door…
Ekalavya bends his head down and turns away to leave..KT breaks her embrace off Lakshya and runs towards Ekalavya..Lakshya is left stunned..
KT: Ekalavya…aisa kuch nahi hai jaisa tum soch rahe ho..
Eku: Jo mein soch raha huin, wohh hi saach hai KT. Mein to tumhein Lakshya ko wapas suapna chata tha…tum ek baar mujhse kah deti tumhein, yeh shaadi todni hai, mein tod deta! Tumhein saza dekar, mujhe kuch nahi mila hai KT, baas zayada dukh hi mila hai..na tum pahle mujhe samajh pai, na kabhi paogi…ekalavya tumhare liye sirf ek khilauna tha, jab dost ki zaroorat padi to dosti karli, jab sahara chahiye, to sahara mang liye…hain, meine galti ki tumhein dhoke se shaadi kiya, par tumne kabhi meri akhoin mein basi tumhare liye pyaar nahi dekha..tumne kabhi yeh nahi socha ki meri zindagi kis tarah bikhar gayi tumhare ek jhoote ilzaam se…kabhi nahi sochaa..ekalavya ko tab bhi sabhi ne tyaag diya, aaj bhi ekalavya akela hai!
Lakshya tries to interrupt..
Eku: Nahi Lakshya…mujhe sabki saza mil chuki hai…tumhari KT tumhe Mubarak ho..
KT: Yeh tum kya kah rahe ho Ekalavya..mein sirf tumhari biwi huin..
Eku: Bahtar yahi hoga ki logoin ko yeh baat pata na chale ki, meri patni, apne dewar ke gale lagke ro rahi hai…warna wohh tum par hi lanchan laga yenge…tum aaj se mukt ho..
KT looks down ashamedly..
KT: Aisi koi baat nahi hai Ekalavya..
Eku: Nahin KT, Mumbai chal ne ke baad, mein tumhe papers sign karke de dunga…
KT: Kaisa papers Ekalavya..
L: Bhaiya aap kya kah rahein hai..
Eku: Wohi lakshya jo tum dono hamesha chatethe…Mein KT ko Divorce de raha huin..
KT and lakshya are both shocked.
Eku: Shayad ab tum dono khush hoge…meri zindagi ti waise bhi barbaad ho chuki hai…
And Ekalavya leaves a visibily stunned and shocked KT…Lakshya goes running behind Eku..
L: Bhaiya..bhaiya..ruk ja-e-ye.
Eku stops and turns back..
Eku: (sadly says) mere paas tumhein lautane ke liye kuch nahi hai lakshya, jo tumhara tha, mein lauta raha huin…khush rahna!
L: Bhaiya. Please…please aisa kuch maat kijiye..mein hain mein KT ko wapas chata tha, lekin wohh kabhi yeh shaadi nahi todna chati thi..please aap aisa kuch mat kijie..
Eku: Nahi lakshya..pal pal marne se bahtar hai, ki mein ek hi baar mar jaun. KT ko mein, bahut pyaar karta huin..par dukh bhi meine usko utna hi diya hai..nahi rah sakta mein, is tarah, har wohh pal jo mein tum donoin ko saath dekta huin…har pal marta huin…wohh to kabhi meri thi hi nahi…divorce hi mera akhri decision hai…
Eku begins to walk upto the car..
Lakshya: Agar mein uski zindagi se hamesha ke liye chala jaun to bhi nah?
Ekalavya does not turn…but looks at the keys in his hands..and smiles…

Chap 18

Next day morning..In the guest house..
Tulsi gets a call early in the morning…she picks up the phone and shocked to hear the news from the other end..she gets ready and leaves her room..downstairs, karan was talking to the manager.
T: karan Beta, saahil ka phone aya tha..hamein abhi hospital jana hai..
K: Kya baat hai Ma, aap itni ghabrayi hui, kyon hai? Kya kaha saahil ne? Sab theek to hain na wahain..

They reach the hospital..
T: Inspector sahib, ruk jaeye!
The inspector was talking to the doctor about when Ganga would be released! He turns around..
IS: Ah, Mrs.Tulsi Virani.Inspector Wadekar, Mumbai Crime Branch!
T: Dekhiye Inspector sahib, ap jaisa amajh rahe hain, waisa kuch nahi hai!
IS: To, aap ka kahna hai ki, Ganga ne Rishabh ka khoon nahi kiya? Hmm?
T: Who goli tripti ke bandook se bhi to ho sakti hai?
IS: Ho sakti thi, par hai nahi..
Meanwhile, Lakshya, Nakul and Mihir walk up to the inspector..
M: Dekhiya, aap kuch din or intezar nahi kar sakte? Ganga abhi poori tarah theek bhi nahi hui hai..
IS: To mein kab kaha ki mein use arrest karne aya huin? Meine to ek baar bhi nahi bola..Ap log hi baar baar kahe ja rahe hain…Guilty feel kar rahe hain kya?
And he smirks!
M: Dekhiya, agar ap arrest karne nahi aye hain, to kaam bataeye!
IS: Ganga ka bayan lena hai hamein!
Doctor: Bayan ka to philhal sawal hi nahi uthata..wohh abhi bhi behosh hain..atleast 10-12 ghante baad hi hosh ane ka chance hai…
IS: I see, to theek hain, mein filhaal chalta huin, par hain…wapas zaroor aunga! Inspector jo thahra!
He leaves with his Sub inspector and everyone heaves a sigh of relief!

Karan goes towards saahil who is sitting in the waiting room..
K: Saahil, chinta mat karo..saab theek ho jayega..
S: chatees(36) ghante ho ke aye hain, Ganga ko abhi tak hosh nahi ayi hai..pareshan na huin, to kya karuin…
K: Abhi aur kuch ghante hai na, aur doctors uska khayal to rakh rahein hai..tum chinta maat karo..

Tulsi calls up KT and tells her to leave for Home. She fusses a bit but then agrees to leave.Tulsi tells her to take Nakul and lakshya with her n Ekalavya! KT says she would. She then tells Ekalavya what Tulsi told her and both go to the hospital first….Meanwhile, Tanya had reached there as well…

KT: Baa, mein Ganga Mom ko chod kar nahi jana chahti….
Tanya interrupts..
Tan: KT, ganga tumhari Ma kaise ban gayi? Tumhari shaadi to ekalavya se hui hai na..to fir Damini hi Ma honi chahiye tumhari..Ganga to chachi honi chahiye nahi?
KT: wohh…
Tan: Hain hain..maan kuch, jubaan par kuch…
Tu: Tanya, kya farak padta hai ki wohh kise Ma bulati hai..
Tan: Farak to padta hai na…(points towards ekalavya) usko..

Both KT and Tulsi turn towards him..Eku looks sad with his face down..
KT: Galti hogayi Tanya Chachi…
Tan: Pata nahi galti kisse hui hai..hmm…(she looks scornfully at Tulsi)
And walks to where Karan was standing…
KT looks sad n in tears..Eku comes up to her..
E: Tum, Ganga chachi ko Mom bula sakti ho, mujhe koi pareshani nahi hai..
Tulsi hears this and is happy..
E:Mein, Lakshya aur Nakul ko bula ke lata huin..And he leaves..

In the ICU..Ganga's fingers start slowly ,moving..The nurse tending her notices this and comes out to call the doctor…Saahil sees that and asks her what happened…
Nurse: Patient ko hosh a raha hai..
S: kya! Sach mein..kya mein dekh sakta huin usse..
N: Ji nahi..abhi hum kuch tests kar rahe hain, uske baad hi apko ijazat hogi..
Saahil walks over to the ICU door and looks at Ganga sleeping inside..and notices her fingers moving..Saahil is elated! He runs to where Mihir,karan and all were standing..
S: Ganga ko hosh agaya, bade papa!
M: Sach! Yeh to bahut acchi baat hai!
K: Chalo chal kar dekhein..
They all go towards the ICU..the doctors stops them..
Doc: Ap log sabhi kahain, ja rahein hai..patient ko aram ki zaroorat hai..please ap log jaeye abhi..
S: Par Doctor sahib. Ham Ganga se kab mil sakte hai..
Doc: Mein bata dunga kab…filhal aplog wait kijiye...

Lakshya walks up to ekalavya…
L: Bhaiya…
Eku: Lakshya, Baa ne hamein ghar jane ke liye kaha hai..nakul ko bulao..hamein ghar jana hai..
L: Mein Mom ko chod kar nahi jaunga..
KT walks up..
KT: Nahi lakshya, tum hein aur Nakul dono ko thoda aram karna chahiye..Baa ne kaha hai chalne ko,…
N: Tum log chale jao..mein rukta huin Papa ke saath..
L: Nahi bhaiya, aap jaeye..mein rukta huin..
Ekalavya gets irritated..
Eku: Kisiko mere saath jane ki zaroorat nahi hai! Mein akela hi chala jata huin..
He storms out!…KT gets worried…and goes behind him…
KT: Ekalavya….ruko
Eku stops…and turns..
KT: Baa ne kaha hai to mein nahi talungi..chalo..
Eku: Nahi tum yahin ruko..apne hone wale pati ke saath!
KT is stunned to hear this…Lakshya walks up to them…
L: Bhaiya mein chalunga..Nakul bhaiya yahain ruk rahe hain..
Eku: Dekho lakshya, mujhe koi shauk nahi hai tum dono kee beech mein haddi banne ka..
Chaho to tum dono alag se a sakte ho..
L: yeh aap kya kah rahe hai, Bhaiya! Hum ap ke saath hi chalenge
Eku: Ek sharth par..
KT: Sharth?
Eku: Hain…
L: kaisa sharth bhaiya?
Eku: tum dono saath saath peche baitoge..
Both lakshya and KT look at each other…
Eku: Bolo, manzoor hai?
L: Nahi..ap KT ke saath peeche baithiye…mein chala ta huin gaadi..
Eku: Nahi…mein nahi baitunga..
KT: mujhe manzoor hai tumhara sharth..Lakshya..
Lakshya looks shocked…Eku gives a smirk..

Chap 19

In the hospital the doctors come out of the ICU..the virani pariwar move towards him anxiously..
S: doctor Sahib, Ganga kaisi hai?
Doc: Ab khatre se bahar hai…ap mein se koi e hi unse mil sakte ho…
Tulsi puts her hand on Saahil's shoulder and nods for him to go meet her..everyone heaves a sigh of relief…
Saahil goes into the ICU..Ganga weakly smiles at him and tears roll down saahil's eyes…He goes and sits beside her on the bed..Ganga tries to get up and extends her arms towards saahil to wipe his tears…but she groans in pain..Saahil holds her and gently makes her sit up in the bed..
S: zayada mat hilo Ganga..stitches abhi kate nahi hai…dheere..
G: mein theek huin Saahil…tum ro kyon rahe ho Saahil..dekho mein bilkul theek huin..
Saahil tum itna hatke kyon baithe ho..mere samne aao na…
S: Hatke? Mein tumhare samne hi to huin Ganga…
Then the realization of what the doctor had told him strikes him…he sheds tears thinking about it and turns his head away so that Ganga does not see him..
G: Mujhe kya hua hai saahil..mujhe dikhayi kyon nahi de rahi hai theek se..saahil, kuch bolo na..
S: Wohh Ganga…wohh..
G: Kya hua hai mujhe..
She holds his hands and shakes him..
G: Please batao mujhe kya hua hai…tumhein meri kasam…
S: Wohh tumhari ankhen…wohh mein nahi bata sakta Ganga…he puts his head on her lap and cries…
G: Kya hua Saahil, tum aise kyon ro rahe ho…utho na please batao mujhe…please..
Saahil gets up, wipes his face , holds ganga's hand…and looks into her eyes…
S: ganga, doctor ne kaha hai ki, tumhein golli lagne ke karan, tumhari dayein(righ) ankh kamzor ho gayi hai..shayad tum kabhi theek se dekh nahi paogi…aur aur shayad tumhara dayena(right) kaan bhi thoda kamzor ho gaya hai..sunane mein takleef ho sakti hai…

Saahil looks away..ganga lets go off her hand from saahils hand, puts her hand on her face and buries herself into the comforter…
S: Please Ganga..utho please…tum aaj bhi mere liye utni hi khoobsurat ho jaise pahle thi..aur fir doctor ne yeh bhi kaha hai ki treatment se tum theek ho jaogi..
Ganga weeps slowly..
S: Himmat mat haro Ganga..tum is tarah ro-ogi to mein bhi toot jaunga…ek tumhare wasthe hi mein ab tak sambhal paya huin..
Ganga looks up teary eyed and they both look into each others eyes,,remembering all thegood day together and all the days they spent away from each other..

Saahil stands up, comes closer to ganga, holds her face in his hands, and kisses her forehead and her right eye…Ganga closes her eyes with heavy breath…Saahil keeps holding her face and looks deep into her eyes…
G: Saahil..aise kya dekh rahe ho?
S: shhhh…ek dum chup…
Ganga quitens down…Saahil sits close by her…holds her hand takes something out of his pocket….
Ganga looks on shocked and surprised…
Saahil takes Ganga's hand and in another of his hand holds his marriage ring…
S: Ganga, Mein zindagi mein tumhein bahut dukh diye hain…Mein janta huin ki, mein tumhare pyaar ke layak nahi huin..mein kabhi tumhare liya tha nahi..
G: Saahil..
S: Mujhe bolne do Ganga…Tum meri zindagi ka sabsa badi khusi ho..tumhare saath ke bina, mein kal bhi adhura tha, aaj bhi adhura huin…aaj mein tumhein apna bana chahata huin…kya tum hamesha hamesha ke liye meri banana pasand karogi..
Ganga had tears rolling down her eyes…and she just merely nods her head for an yes…
Saahil puts the ring in her finger and kisses her hand…Ganga then hugs saahil…and cries…Lakshya comes in…
L: ahem ahem…
Ganga looks up…and breaks the hug..
G: Arey lakshya beta..aao andar aao..
L: Lagta hai, galat waqt par a gaya!
G: Chup badmaash bahut bolta hai!
L: Kaisi ho Ma…
G: Tum log mere liye itna kar rahe ho..theek kaise nahi ho sakti mein..
L: Apne hamare liye jo kiya Ma, uski tulna mein to yeh kuch bhi nahi hai…ap to apni zindagi hi daw par laga chuki thi..
Gangs frowns a bit remembering what happened few days ago…she looks worriedly at Saahil, who understood her worry without her saying a word..
S: Tripti salkhoin ke peeche hai…
G: Aur aur wohh rishabh malhotra?? Wohh tripti ka pati tha na?
S: Tumne yehh kaise pata lagay?
G: Sharma ji ne pata kiya apne poorane lawyer dostoin se, ki rishabh ka pahle bhi kanoon ke saath pala pad chukka tha..aur tab bhi uske saath tripti thi…
S: Risahabh is no more..
Ganga looks shocked…
G: Kisne mara use?
Saahil and lakshya look at each other…
G: Bolo na saahil kisne mara rishabh ko??

Someone enters the room..
Man: Excuse me Mr.Saahil Virani..
Saahil, lakshya and Ganga look towards the door…Saahil stands up…
Man: Inspector …
S: Aap yahain kya kar rahe hain..
In: kuch sawal poochna hai..
G: Kisse sawal poochna hai inspector sahib? Tripti to ap logoin ke paas , jail mein hain…fir aap yahain?
In: Rishabh malhotra ke khoon ke ilzam par aap se sawal karna hai…goli aap ki hi haathoin se chali, jo rishabh ke dil ke ar par ho gaya..
Ganga looks on shocked…

Chap 20

So far..Ganga is injured and just regained her conciousness and the inspector arrives in the hospital n tells her she is gonna be arrested...

Ins: Mrs.Ganga..you shot Rishabh..the gun you were holding fired the bullet that shot Rishabh Malhotra..
The doctor walks in..
Doc: What is happening here? Why r you all crowding here?
Ganga starts hyperventing..and the doc rushes to her and puts her oxygen mask and gives her a sleeping injection..Ganga calms down and goes unconcious...The doctor walks upto the inspector..
Doc: If you dont leave this room right now, you will be the one getting arrested for troubling a patient and harming her health..

Inspector is stunned by this allegation...he and saahil walk out of the room..before leaving..
Insp: Mr.Virani..I will be back..and then I will not go back alone...the culprit will come with me..My name isnt purushotam otherwise!
He leaves and saahil sits down on the bench outside the ICU...Lakshya consoles him..tulsi comes to saahil..

T: Lakshya..saahil...Hows Ganga?? did she speak to you? What did the doc say?
L: dadi, Doc put her back to sleep..she started hyperventilating and the doc gave her sleep injection, but she will be fine..
T: Hey Thakurji..please protect my family from all this..Ganga never did anything wrong for anyone..she always wanted the best for us..please protect her...
Saahil weeps slowly..lakshya sits down by him and holds him..

L: Papa, you gotto hang in their..else who will take care of us?
Saahil gets up...and walks towards the exist..
Lakshya tries to stop..Tulsi tells him not to..
T: Jane de use...let him get some solitude , he needs time to think about things..
Mihir and karan come and watch saahil walk by them in his own world...
M: Tulsi..Ganga?
T: Theek hai abhi..So rahi hai abhi...aap sabhi hotel chaliye..you havent had sleep for a long time..
i just came from hotel i will stay here..you go get some rest , food and get fresh...

Eku walks into the hospital as everyones leaving..he holds Lakshyas hand...lakshya stops...
E: yeh lo...
L: Yeh kya hai bhaiya?
E: Khana bheja hai tumhare aur Tulsi Dadi ke liye..KT ne..
L: Par bhaiya..mein to abhi hotel hi ja raha tha..ap aur dadi khalo..I will go home with Mihir Dadu n all..
Lakshya leaves...
Eku thinks..thats exactly what I wanted...and smriks.

Eku walks upto Tulsi...
T: Ekalavya..tum akele? KT kahain hai?
E: She is at home..apne pariwar ke liye, khana bana rahi hai..Nandini ke saath
T: You didnt have food?
E: Well, i thought i would eat with you..so i got food for the both of us dadi...
And eku smiles..Tulsi sees the food...
T: Thats good..theres a cafeteria down the hall we can go eat there...come..
E: Aap chaliye..mein ata huin..
He gives the food to her and goes towards another room...

In tht empty store room..Eku takes his cellphone and calls someone..
E: is it all set up?
Callee: Yes sir..all is ready...
E: Good ....do as you were told..and no mistakes!
Callee: OK Sir..I will do my best..
E: No! You will do it as i told you!
Callee: Yes Sir..
Eku hangs up...and thinks..now KT you will get all tht you have longed for...everything n much more...he smiles and walks towards the cafeteria...
There he finds a crowd has gathered...he rushes towards it..moves towards the middle and finds tulsi lieing on the ground..she had fallen off her chair..and hurt her head...
E: Arey..daadi...hello someone help! this is a hospital and you all are standing n staring!! somebody call the doc...
A nurses calls a passing doc and the doc comes and they take tulsi on a stretcher to a room and the docs check her...Eku stands outside...repacks the food..very calmly and goes n sits outside tulsi's room and takes his cell out
E: Mihir Dadu...

Mihir,karan rush to the hospital...
M: Ekalavya...how did this happen??
Eku sounding very remorseful..
E: Dadu, I dont know wht happened..i told her to go sit in the cafeteria table as i had to go to the restroom..i came back and found her lieing down and blood coming out of her head..dont know Dadu..whts happening to our family..
Mihir looks around frantically and karan walks up n down the hall..the doc comes out of the room..
M: Doctor, hows tulsi?
Doc: Tulsi is doing ok now..the wound isnt tht big..we have stitched it, and given her anethetics..she will gain conciosuness soon..but what happened? how did she fall?
E: I dont know Doctor, i had left her only for 5 mins..
Doc: Well you all dont worry...i have sent for her blood to be tested..we will see what happened when the results come out..but please stay outside now..the patient needs rest...
Mihir walks upto the door and peers inside slowly...and his eyes are full of tear...
karan brings him out into open air and they sit on a bench...
M: God knows whats happening to our family...first Tripti n Rishabh..then Ganga and now Tulsi..why is God punishing us like this?

Eku stands a lil farther away from where karan n mihir are sitting...still holding the food bag...he smiles..lifts the food bag upto his face...and thinks out loud..
E: God isnt...someone else is...and you will have to pay for it..one person at a time...
He looks at the bag in his hand and mihir and smirks...
