hey...

I am really sorry for not updating this fic since a long time.Epilogue will be posted soon. Then,I will concentrate on my other fic-Rainbow-colours of life.

Epilogue:

Naina smiled looking at the phone. Her job was done. Finally she got a chance to surprise him. She came to spend some time with her mother in nainital. It has been a long time since the last visit to he mother and she longed to be with her mother. she still remebered how raj sulked like a child not liking the idea of being away from her even if it was for four days. He could not get leave at that time as he had some important work. Naina promised that she would return soon and he finally accepted rather unwillingly.

Raj opened the door of his quarters feeling tired and lonely, terribly missing her. It was dark inside. His phone beeped and he checked it. It was an MMS from naina. He opened it and was surprised to see a picture of a small baby looking so cute. He turned on the lights. He was stunned. There were baby posters everywhere in the room and the room was decorated with many balloons.

Before he could react, all of his friends and former cadets shouted cheerfully with joy "Congratulations"

His mind could not process fully what was happening."For what?" he asked confused. They whispered among themselves and came to a decision." we can't spoil the surprise. We did everything as per naina's wishes. You call her and find it out on your own."

Just then, naina called him on the phone."So, did u like my surprise?"

"Naina! What's happening?"

"Major Rajveer Singh Shikawath is being congratulated as he is going to become a father soon" she giggled with mischief and joy.

For a moment, Raj could not react. He was overwhelmed with happiness. This was one of the biggest joys in his life apart from being married with naina.

"Raj! Aren't you happy?" she asked confused with his silence.

"I love you naina " he said his eyes slightly moist with happiness."When did you find out?"

"Yesterday night, I was not feeling well and maa took me to a doctor. She did some tests and the news was confirmed today's morning. So, I thought of planning a surprise to you"

"This is the most beautiful surprise in my whole life. Thank you naina.I can't wait to see you" he said it with such an heart-felting desire that melted her completely.

"I will be back within two days. I miss you"

"I miss you too"

"Bye Raj.I will call you later"

"Bye"

The evening was full of celebration. Abhimanyu and shalini teased him a lot about how he should do a crash course in changing diapers, taking care of the baby, singing lullaby etc.Pooja,Udi and others cheered them up. Raj didn't mind in the least. His heart was full of happiness. After they left, he went to BC's room and got permission for leave and started packing his bags.

He left for the earliest bus to nainital and when he reached naina's house, it was early in the morning.Naina's mother opened the door and was surprised to see Raj. She smiled understanding the reason for his sudden arrival. He greeted her and smiled sheepishly looking adorable. When he went to naina's room, she was in deep sleep and he looked at her to his heart's content and kissed her forehead softly without disturbing her. He laid quietly beside her holding her hand above his heart.

She opened her eyes slowly after some time and was stunned to see Raj infront of her. She smiled at him."So, you could not wait to see me"

"Who told that I came to see you. I came to talk with my baby"

"You love the baby more than me" she said as if complaining.

"Even you told that you love some other else more than me. You didn't even tell me that person's name"

"What do you want to name our baby?" she asked suddenly.

"Naina. Don't change the topic."

"I am answering your question" she replied with mischief in her eyes.

"You mean .., and then it struck him."So, you love our baby more than me. But at that time , you were not pregnant"

"I always dreamed of this moment and I said it thinking about our future. I love this baby more because it is part of you, part of us. It is symbol of our love."

He smiled and started talking to his baby."Hello little one. I am your father. Are you happy inside?"

She giggled watching him and the talk went on.

2 years later:

"Navya honey, Please finish this cereal before your mother comes here. One more spoon please"

Navya turned her head aside towards the TV infront of her, distracted by it. Raj sighed and tried to persuade her.

Naina came into the room."So, what happened to your challenge.You told that you could make her eat within 15 minutes. Already half-an-hour is over and half of the bowl is remaining. I told you she will take atleast one hour to eat it"

"come here sweety" she holded hands for navya and the baby jumped into her mother's arms eagerly.She started playing with her mother's saree.

Raj smiled at her with mischief and she knew he was upto something. He went into the other room and naina placed navya on the bed and started playing with her as well as trying to feed her.

Raj came with something in his hand and sat on the bed near her.He showed a photo to navya and navya started giggling while clapping her chubby hands."Mumma Mumma" she ate the spoon of cereal while giggling at the photo.

It was the same photo taken at their honeymoon with ice cream on naina's face.

Naina saw the photo "Raj! You promised that you will not show this photo to anyone"

"Remember clearly naina! I didn't promise you"

She gave a deathly stare to him.

Raj understood the look and started running around the bed."Naina! I just showed it to her to make her eat. She likes cartoons a lot you know"

"You! Do I look like a cartoon like you?"

She finally got hold of his sleeve and pulled it and both fell on the bed. She started beating him with her hands and he laughed and caught her hands stopping her."You are not a cartoon. You are my angel for now and forever" he kissed her palms. He looked deep into her eyes"I love you so much"

She blushed and he was about to touch her cheek, when navya started pulling his hand .He moved and took her in his lap."Oh sorry honey. We love you so much. Happy?"

she smiled cutely playing with her father's hands. Naina looked at her family adorably. They went to the balcony with navya in Raj's hand and just then, a star was falling down.

Both of them closed their eyes and wished for each other's happiness and the well-being of their baby. They thanked navin silently for giving their love a way and for being back with them in the form of navya.

Navya started making baby sounds and both kissed her cheeks at the same time. Naveen's love for both Raj and naina made him return to them in the form of navya.
