P: (sarcastic) haha….then they will want to have a grandchild in less than 9 months!

D: then we will just get them one….hell we will start right now!! (comes closer to her)

P: oh noooo!!! Don't u dare come close to me…or else…

D: (coming closer) or else?

P: OR ELSE I WILL SCREAM!

Part 18

D: (stops) man aren't u a party pooper?

Dev sits on his bed.

P: (smiles) ok lets finish our project!

Time passes as they work on the project.

D: finally! We r done!!

Knock knock!

D: come in

Its dev's mum

DM: preeti…ur parents r here….

P: ok we r coming down right now…

She smiles n leaves.

P: (deep breath)

D: nervous?

P: yea….idk y though….

Dev gives preeti's hand a squeeze n says….

D: come on…

Preeti and Dev are coming down the stairs and you see Preeti's dad and Dev's dad laughing and talking in the living room.

In the kitchen you see Dev's mum and Preeti's mum gossiping….

PM: Dinner time!!

Everyone gathers around the dinning table and everyone starts enjoying. Than dev speaks up…

D: I have something to tell you guys.

P: no …WE have something to tell you guys.

Both parents nod as in yes.

D: first of all…..I DON'T want to marry abhi…..and …..Preeti does NOT want to marry Aditya whatever his last name is…

The parents look at each other and are quiet. After a while….

PD: Y? Y don't you to want to marry who we picked for you?

P: because we don't love them….we love each other…(looks down)

PM: KYA? Tum kisse pyaar karte ho?

P: …… (scared….cuz i get scared of my parents too when i talk about guys)

D: ME.

All the parents look at each other again…

DD: well…than its settled…you will get married to Preeti.

D & P: WHAT? ARE YOU SERIOUS?

DM: don't u want to get married?

P: well…yea but….no yelling nothing?

DM: you could of told us before but I am fine with a bahu like Preeti but better yet I am perfectly happy….after all she is the ONLY one that can handle you.

D: yes...that's true…..WAIT!! are you trying to say that I am some kind of animal that needs to be trained?!

P: yes!

Dev glares at Preeti.

PD: well than it's settled!!

PM: yes! The engagement will be the day after tomorrow.

DM: and the marriage a week after the engagement at out house!

The parents start talking about the arrangements. Dev and Preeti go up to Dev's uh…I mean THEIR room.

Once in their room ….

P: OMG I can't believe it worked!!!!

D: (smiles) yup!

P: so…you know I never really got a good tour around my new room.

D: (laughs)ok well here we have the nice soft bed…um…her is the closer n that dresser…I never use….

P: (with out thinking) I will use it…

D: here is the bathroom.

Dev walks toward the bathroom.

Preeti goes in as well n inhales

P: sigh…it smells like axe n Calvin Klein…my favorite!...OHHH and its big!! I need big bathrooms because I am…

D: (cute short) claustrophobic (its when you feel suffocated if you don't have enough room and you get dizzy, trust me you don't want to have it…I have it and its not fun…I cant use public restrooms…cant sleep over my friends house if its too small...sigh…its sadL)

P: (laughs) yea…

Soon Preeti and her family leave….

ok yea so here is the part... I noe I am not the good…I am a lil rusty lol but I just really want to get this ff over with so I can start with a AK ff…I noe a lot of ppl will enjoy that more than this…n I just don't want to get this ff over for that…its just that I cant find a good plot for this ff so I can cont. Part 19

The Next Day

You see two cars coming in the entrance of NYU. A door opens…yup its no other than Dev Khanna. The other car's door opens n it Preeti. Preeti walks over to Love and Josh while Love and Josh watch Dev talking to the cheerleaders. Dev looks to the side and sees Love, Preeti, and Josh laughing at him. He gives Josh a help-me look. Josh slowly walks to the cheerleaders by Dev n says:

J: ladies plzz….i am sure you all can talk to Dev some other time. yes?

Dev and Josh walk back to the group while Dev mutters to Josh…

D: could you be any slower coming to help me?

J: hey! Just be happy I came…(smiles)

They reach the gang

D: (sighs) man I am so glad this is my last year here n I am finishing off in London.

P: we're going to London?

D: yea…dad said something about "son its time you handled the business in London."

P: oh…ok

Love n Josh look at one another and than look at Dev and Preeti. I think someone forgot to inform Josh and Love into this plan.

L: does someone want to tell me what's going on?

P n D: Long story!

L: (stern) I have time.

So they tell the whole story -good thing they came early today- as they walk to their class.

L: ok…that's great you solved this problem but….

J: (sarcastic) omg! Not the but!!! Plz anything but the but!!

Love gives Josh a mean glare and hits him on the arm.

J: (quietly) oww.

L: But…what are you going to do after your married? Are you gonna have a husband-wife relation or….(love knows that Dev and Preeti love each other but have not relised yet…they still think it's a crush or an attraction).because you 2 don't even love each other….or do you? (smirks)

D: well…I rather marry Preeti than….she who shall not be named.

P: And so what if we don't love each other? Its important to be friends with your spouse first and than love comes by itself.

L: Preeti!!

P: LOVE!! Look adi wasn't my type ok…I just didn't get that feeling you have when you are with someone special. And plus I never want to see his face! Can u believe what he was telling me? He was like "Preeti beware of Dev…I don't think he a good friend" COME ON! Dev of all ppl?

J: well…I do see how he could get to the conclusion. You two are close so do you see how he could get jealous?

Dev just shrugs…by now they have reached class and are in their seats. Time passes slowly and not so soon is lunch time…

P: phew! Long day!

J: yes…

L: so…?

P: *rolls eyes*fine Love you win. I don't know how it's going to be after marriage! Happy?

L: Preeti…that's not…

D: (interrupts) love look its pretty simple! We are friends and we will live like friends and be friends forever more! (thinks: even though I want to be more than friends)

P: Yea….(is Preeti sad? Does she want to be more than friends too? Hmmm lets see….) and sooner or later we will fall in love. Just look at our parents….they had an arranged marriage and they fell in love sooner or later.

L: ok ok sheesh!

J: (pretending to be a girl) O-M-G! look who it is! It's the B-F-H coming this way! O-M-G! (he is actually saying the letters and if you don't know what BFH it is b**** from hell)
