Part 19

Three months later

Rushvi calls out to Ruchi, "Oi ruchi ki bachi, jaldi aa! He'll be here in like 10 minutes."

"Eek!! 10 minutes, only Maya can get ready for a date that quickly!" Ruchi cries.

"Someone said my name?" Maya comes through the open door.

"MAYA! Thank god you're here! I don't know what to wear and Rohan is supposed to be here any minute!!" Ruchi exclaims.

"Rohan? You actually...asked out Rahul's brother?" Maya acts shocked. "I mean I know you are the type to ask out a guy, but....you broke tradition?"

"Tradition? What tradition? We have a tradition?" Ruchi breaks out.

"Calm down Ruchi! Maya, why are you stressing her out before her big date?" Simran asks.

"Because dear Simi, tension main hamesha relax karna chaiyye!" Aryan says sliding his arms around her waist.

"Aryan? Tum kahi bhi shuru ho jaata ho na?" Maya laughs.

"Haan...to?" Aryan replies.

"Maya's just jealous, because Rahul's not here right now..." Rushvi answers.

"Where is he by the way?" Arun asks, entering through the kitchen door.

"He's helping Rohan get ready for the date too....it' s like we're all being a part of this date." Maya laughs.

"Rohan needs help? Getting ready? Are you serious?" Arun laughs.

"Shut up Arun! Ruchi told me you asked her for help during our first date!" Rushvi tells him.

"You what? Ruchi...I'm going to kill you!" Arun heads to where Maya is fixing Ruchi's hair, while Rushvi grabs his arm to stop him.

"Arun, sweetie calm down. We're married now, it doesn't really matter right?" Rushvi calms him down.

Bring Bring....Maya's cell phone rings.

"hello? Hi Rohan...yeah she's right here. Oh. Umm...are you sure about that? For your first date? Really? Then can we meet here at the house around 7 ish?" Maya converses with Rohan. Finally she hangs up, and everyone looks up at her expectantly. "What?" She teases them.

"What did Rohan have to say?" Ruchi asks, close to tears.

"Hey...don't cry. I'm sure it was something important if he wants to meet here at 7" Rushvi tries to comfort Ruchi.

"Rushvi's right....so Maya tell us!" Simran says.

"You girls need to leave my sis alone! She'll tell us in a few minutes." Arun says.

"Arun... ever since you've gotten married, you've become so .....so....." Aryan tries to think of something.

"Considerate? Caring? Sentimental?" Simran adds in.

"What? No....he's become a total pansy!" Aryan finishes off.

"A what?" Arun pretends to be in pain.

"Oi Aryan....I know you and Simi are engaged and all, but don't you dare call my husband a pansy!" Rushvi's threatens Aryan.

"Rushvi? You serious or what?" Simran asks.

"You think she is Simi?" Ruchi replies.

They all laugh.

"Ok so....now that we're done all that, tell me about the 7 thing?" Ruchi says impatiently.

"Ok so....Rohan called, as you all know, but he invited us all to dinner....he said Rahul has some surprise for me!" Maya says excitedly.

"Psht....Rahul? A surprise for you?" Rushvi asks. "And here we thought it'd be something more....but oh we all get to come?"

"Of course..."

They all get ready and wait for Rahul and Rohan to come. The minute they hear the doorbell ring, they all push Ruchi to answer it. She opens the door and disappointedly sees Rahul outside the door.

"Umm...sorry, is Maya ready?" Rahul asks nervously.

"She is....but where is Rohan?" She asks.

"Someone's pretty impatient..." Rahul comments.

"You're telling me, you're not for Maya?" Ruchi answers back.

"Fair enough....so..." Rahul shifts from foot to foot.

"I'd invite you in...but..." She gets interrupted.

"I'm rea-" Maya stops talking as she sees Rahul standing at the door.

"You look pretty...." Rahul says.

He says that, and then comes into the living room, and everyone greets one another. Rahul leads them outside and they all see an amazingly long stretch black limo.

"Wow! Rahul...." Aryan says.

"A limo?" Simran adds.

"For all of us?" Ruchi asks.

"Your date thought of it!" Rahul says to her.

They all get into the limo, and see Rohan sitting there, with a single red rose in his hand.

Rohan:

"Umm...this is for you." He quietly says to Ruchi, who comes and sits next to him.

They all drive to a private harbour, and get onto a yacht.

They all dance the night away and have dinner together.

After awhile....the four couples break away and go to separate parts of the boat, each sharing their romantic part with each other. When they all come back together, Ruchi and Maya both have rings on their ring fingers.

"You...you both are...." Rushvi exclaims.

"Rushvi, close your mouth yaar....yes they're engaged!" Simran laughs.

They all spend the night together just talking and reminiscing about old days, when all of a sudden, Arun receives a phone call,

"Hello? Oh um...hi. Yeah of course I remember about you....no we just lost touch...yeah you heard right. I did get married...to the love of my life," he puts an arm around Rushvi. "Ummm yeah....thanks....I'll talk to you later then? And oh Divya, I'm sorry." He hangs up.

"Divya? Divya?" Rushvi asks.

"Well I just talked to her today, for the first time after that whole thing..." Arun grins sheepishly.

They both keep arguing while the other three couples look on.

awww..so Ruchi got a guy too.....and Hrithik!! 😆...and it was soo sweet how everyone ended up being engaged....I guess Rahul and Rohan went all out for proposing...
