"Bring in the next patient, Ruchika!" Arun called from his office. He looked down, already tired, at his appointment book.
"Only 10:30am, and still 14 patients to go....why did I choose to become a doctor?" He sighed.
Ruchika popped her head through the doorway, "Hey Arun, you don't have any patients right now, they're all after 11:00am."
"Are you serious? That has to be the best news I've heard since like forever." Arun exclaimed.
"Liar!" Ruchika said.
"What? Why?" Arun asked.
Ruchika comes into his office and sits down on the sofa by the door.
"The last time you were this happy, and you heard the "best news" when Rushvi called yesterday and said she was coming to New York, for her fashion shoot." Ruchika told him.
Arun laughs, "Oh, I thought you were serious..."
"I am serious..." Ruchika said.
"Ok...I don't want to get into this...has Maya called at all?"
"Maya? Oh....yeah, she called at around 9-something this morning. She told me to tell you, that she's...." Ruchika says while thinking about what she said.
"She's??? Continue Ruchi!"
"Shut up Arun!" Ruchika yells.
"Oh my god, you told your boss to shut up? I'm shocked." Arun said.
"Arun, you're my boss only when we have patients in the office, right now, you are just my stupid friend." Ruchika said.
"ouch! Lol....anyways now can you please tell me why my darling sister called?" Arun asked.
Ruchika laughs. "She said that she's coming to New York next week."
"oh...I hope Rushvi stays that long, I really want them to meet each other. Hopefully my fianc and my sister like each other." Arun says.
"Arun, if I liked her, then anyone would like her! You know how hard I am to impress." Ruchi said.
As they both laugh, someone rings the bell at Ruchi's desk.
"Oh shit! I should go check who it is, bye." Ruchi leaves.
"Whoever it is, I hope it's not a patient." Arun thinks.
Right as Arun walks around his desk and sits down; Ruchika calls him on the intercom.
"Sir, you need to come to the front, there's a lady here, and she's making quite a fuss."
"Who the hell is in my office right now? I finally get like 30 mins of peace but no, someone has to come to irritate me!" Arun thinks.
