Part 14

Adi looks at Arushi and they both share a significant look.

Adi: you want to tell her now? A day before the wedding?

Arushi: I can't help it Adi! The guilt is too much!

Maya: ok now, you're scaring me…are you guys separating or something?

Adi and Arushi: NO WAY!! Are you kidding? We're very much in love…

Maya: ok, cut the sappiness! Now, tell me!!

Adi: you're…going to be a Fai!

Arushi: I rather she be a Masi.

Adi: but technically she would be the Fai.

Arushi: Masi sounds better!

Maya: Are you…pregnant?

Arushi nods

Maya: omg!!! YAY!! That's why you didn't have any champagne last night!!

Arushi nods again….

Adi: am I needed anymore or….

Maya: Aww Adi!!! You're gonna be a daddy!! I'm so happy for you!!

They both share a hug and then Adi goes downstairs.

Maya: so when's the baby due?

Arushi: April….

Maya: does anyone else know yet?

Arushi: we thought you should be the first to know!

Maya: Aww…I'm so happy! You better take it easy now okay?

Arushi: yes Maya!

Maya: I'm going to be Fai!!!

Arushi: Maya Fai?? Uggh!! Maya Masi, now that sounds nicer….

Maya: ok but…. we'll decided that when the baby is actually born! Have you decided if you wanna know its gender or not?

Arushi: I don't know…. we haven't really talked about it yet…. Now, if you're ready can we go downstairs?

Maya: I guess…

As Maya opens the door, she sees Adi waiting outside with bated breath….

Maya: Adi? What's wrong?

Adi: Maya, can I have a minute alone with my wife please?

Maya: sure….

Maya walks down the stairs, and a group of her friends catch her eye and take her to the centre of the room…

Arushi: what is it Adi? I have to go downstairs…

Adi: no you don't…. you…. are coming away with me!

Arushi: coming away with you? Have you seen some romantic films lately or what?

Adi: I just realized that in this whole marriage thing for Maya, I forgot to tell you how much I love you!

Arushi: so? You just did…now can I go down? They're all gonna be wondering where I am!

Adi: no one's even going to notice, because I told them that you…and I…are going to the wedding hall tonight to see how they're setting up…

Arushi: and you're telling me, they all believed that?

Adi: yup, well everyone except Maya…now, we need to go downstairs and slip out the back door…

Arushi: but where are we actually going?

Adi: that is a surprise…now let's go

They both stealthily make their way to the back door, downstairs, and quickly go to Adi's car.

Adi: and we're off…

Adi drives towards the marriage hall…

Arushi: are we actually checking the marriage hall out?

Adi: are you telling me you believed it too?

Arushi: (looks down and smiles) no….

Adi laughs: ….ok we're here

Arushi looks around

Arushi: this is the marriage hall!!

Adi: I know, but first come inside….

Adi blindfolds Arushi and leads her inside…

When he takes off the blindfolds Arushi is amazed to see the hall decorated with green, purple and blue balloons everywhere….

Arushi: what is this? Maya's wedding colors were green and red!!! Why is there blue and purple everywhere!

Adi: calm down Aru…these decorations are especially for us, not for Maya's wedding tom!

Arushi: for me?? But why Adi?

Adi: I felt that we needed some time alone…

Arushi: for what?

Adi: just because…. now will you do me the honor of dancing with me?

Arushi: um Adi? There's no music.

Adi: one second.

He claps his hands twice and magically the tune of chup chup ke from Bunty Aur Babli starts.

At the end of the song, Adi takes Arushi and leads her towards the balcony.

Adi: this is for you, (He pulls out a rose from behind him)

Arushi: Adi, I still don't understand why you're doing all this for me?

Adi: do you ever need a reason in love?

Arushi: Adi…you are so sweet…

After they enjoy the whole night away, they both head home, and are surprised to see everyone asleep except for Maya, who wants all the details.

Maya and Arushi head up to Maya's room, while Adi dejected goes down to sleep by himself next to his snoring uncle…

heehee snoring uncle.. i LUV that part!! as far as i remember tho it was green n purple but blues good too! oh n its not fai its fOi (lol) well, doesn't really matter cuz she's gonna be massi neway (i think..) n i actually like chup chup ke better!! so woot woot for you!!!! k gtg do some super-fast cleaning lol
