Next day at 1:30pm
Adi: can we take it from the top again?
Raj: mind if I join you?
Adi: Raj? I'm glad you decided to join us.
Raj puts his hand out to Rahul
Raj: congrats! You're a lucky guy!
Rahul shakes Raj's hand
Rahul: thanks Raj, for coming.
Raj: ok so, what song are you guys dancing on?
Adi tells Raj and the three of them start practicing.
In the afternoon, Jhanvi calls Maya and asks if she can come over before the sangeet.
While Maya is doing her hair, the doorbell rings.
Arushi gets the door: Hey Jhanvi!! Aww how is my little Reena? I can't believe she's gonna be two in three months!!!
Jhanvi: I know I still can't believe it!
Arushi: anyway, come in!
Jhanvi comes in and Maya comes down the stairs.
Maya: Reena!! Come to Maya auntie!!
Reena runs in her baby steps to Maya.
Maya: hey Jhanvi, how are you?
Jhanvi: I'm pretty good, how are you?
Maya: good….
Arushi: she's been smiling like this since a week ago!
Maya: shut up Aru! Anyway Jhanvi, what brought you and my sweet little Reena by?
Jhanvi smiles: umm…. I wanted to ask you a question about tonight, and your wedding?
Maya: go ahead…
Jhanvi: Maya, umm Raj is staying at my house right now, and um…. I was wondering if it was okay if….
Maya: Jhanvi its fine, he can come tonight and on Sunday. I have no problem with it, and I'm pretty sure Rahul won't mind either.
Jhanvi: thanks Maya. Anyway I better get going, only two more hours till the sangeet, and you still need to get ready.
Maya: ok Bye Jhanvi! Bye Reenu!
Maya heads upstairs to her room to start getting ready.
Jhanvi and Arushi stand by the door.
Jhanvi: so how's Adi?
Arushi smiles: Adi's good. How's Aman?
Jhanvi: Aman's good too. Arushi can I ask you a question?
Arushi: sure….
Jhanvi: were you ever angry with me, after that fiasco three years ago?
Arushi: I honestly would have been if you had taken Adi away from me, but that didn't happen and besides now we're all happy in our own lives right?
Jhanvi: ya, ok so I'll see you tonight? Bye!
Arushi: ya, Bye!
As Arushi is closing the door, she sees a car park across the street and sees Rahul run across the street.
Arushi: Rahul, can't you stay away for at least 24 hours?
Rahul: nope!
Arushi: weren't you and Adi rehearsing?
Rahul: Ssh! And ya we were, but then I wanted to see Maya so I came here!
Arushi: ok, she's upstairs in her room, but she's getting ready so make sure you knock.
Rahul: yes Aru!
Arushi calls Adi and they have a nice long talk, where Adi tells her that Raj agreed to do the dance with them.
Meanwhile Rahul knocks on Maya's door.
Maya: come in.
When Rahul opens the door, he sees Maya sitting by the dresser putting on her bangles to match her purple, blue and green lengha. She looks at herself in the mirror and then sees Rahul's reflection in the mirror. She immediately turns around.
Maya: Rahul? What are you doing here?
Rahul: I came to see how much I love you.
Maya: how is that?
Rahul: didn't Adi ever tell you, or even Arushi?
Maya: tell me what?
Rahul: that if a girl's mehndi is this dark (Hold up her palms) then is means her husband will love her a lot! Adi came to Arushi like this too….
Maya: how do you know that?
Rahul: Adi told me…
Maya: Arushi never told me!
Rahul: there are some things you keep private!
Maya: then why would Adi tell you?
Rahul: I don't know…. but don't sulk now…. come on cheer up!
Maya: I will, if you can find your name in my mehndi! (She holds up both her hands in front of her face)
Rahul: right…here! (He finds it, and they both smile)
Maya: ok, you saw my mehndi? Now leave!
Rahul: why? You don't want me here?
Maya: no! I'm getting ready and you should too! So go!
She pushes him out of her room and down the stairs.
Maya: now bye! Love you!
Rahul: one kiss?
Maya: no way! Bye!
Maya shuts the door in his face, and then she goes upstairs to her room to finish getting ready.
6:00pm
Adi: Maya! Arushi! Hurry up!!! We have to be there in 15 minutes!!
Arushi: give us two more minutes!
When Adi hears the click-click on high heels he looks up and sees Arushi walking down the stairs in a green and pink bandhni lengha, with her hair put up in a French twist.
Adi: you look absolutely amazing….
Arushi: thank-you. You don't look that bad yourself…
Adi is wearing a cream colored sherwani with a green stool (dupatta)
Adi: thank-you, now where's Maya?
Maya: right here!
Adi looks up and sees his little sister walking downstairs looking all grown up. She is wearing a blue/purple/green lengha and half her hair is up and half is left down with curls.
Maya: I'm ready, let's go.
Adi: ok…
They get into the Lexus and drive to Shubh Vivah hall. The minute Maya enters the building the photographer whisks her away to take photos, leaving Maya without even saying a hello to all the guests. Meanwhile all the guests arrive and start going into the hall to start the garba. While Rahul and Maya are sitting, all the guests come and congratulate them, and then Jhanvi, Aman, Reena, and Raj come. They all congratulate them and then Raj comes to Maya and he holds out a hand, but she goes for a hug.
Raj: (whisper) Are you happy?
Maya nods.
Raj: I'm glad.
Then the performances start and Maya's cousins dance to Chalka Chalka Re. then Adi being the emcee, introduces himself and Raj for the next item, at the exact moment, Rahul gets a phone call and so he walks away. Then the song Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna(Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge) starts, and Rahul starts dancing, and then when the girl part comes, the three of them get Maya to dance too.
