Thanks for pointing out. I know what manolo blahnik's are, Naina doesnot!! She pretends she is cool, but that was the joke buddy!!

PART 17:

Kripa signed the lease for her new apartment.

"Congratulations! So, when is the move in date?" Angad asked Kripa

Kripa smiled and lowered her eyes, "I will ask mom."

"Mom? Is she moving in too?" Angad pretended he was terrified at the thought.

Kripa slapped him playfully, "I am moving away from my home for the first time…..I need my parent's permission."

"Ok…Ok Kripa….how about this weekend? I will help you move."

"Oh..I will manage Angad…I don't have much stuff anyways…..dad will help me get movers," Kripa said

"Arre dad ko kyon pareshaan karti ho…..tumhara hatta katta dost hai na?" Angad pulled his sleeve up and flexed his biceps.

Kripa laughed and touched his strong muscles with her soft and frail fingers, "Ok…..this weekend sounds good…..I will make sure I pack all my heavy books and encyclopedias for this hutta kutta dost!"

"Encyclopedias?" Angad's eyes popped out, "sure….I guess…..i should get my back insured first," they both laughed and left the apartment complex.

Angad dropped Kripa at the train station and went back to work.

Kripa was in great spirits as she rode the train. She could not wait for the weekend. She was touched by Angad's gesture of giving up his coveted apartment for her. He was really a very good friend and cared about her happiness-something she had seldom experienced in life…..

"Hey Angad….so we have a date tonight?" Kelly knocked on Angad's cabin.

"Oh…yeah…yeah….sure," Angad said absent mindedly. Kelly was one of his oldest friend's from high school. She was blond, tall, slim and attractive. She had started working as a model at the agency a few months ago, but now was a part of the creative team and worked closely with Angad. Angad had dated Kelly a few times; they had a 'need-based' arrangement with no commitments. Kelly had 'taught' Angad quite a few tricks in his life. He lost his virginity to her in the back of his pick up truck after a high school football game.

Kelly was a very ambitious girl and wanted to climb the corporate ladder on the basis of her intelligence, looks, charm…..whatever it would take. She was fond of Angad, but knew, he was not 'the guy' for her, just as she was not 'the girl' for him. They had a clear understanding between each other…..no frills relationship, for purely physical needs…..with no expectations or commitments!

After work, Kelly knocked on Angad's door again, "shall we?"

Angad shut his computer down and got up, "sure…why not?" Angad had not been able to get any work done that day. He was lagging behind in his projects after being away for a week and was hoping to catch up with work today, but after spending some time with Kripa, he was not able to concentrate on his work the rest of the day. He was relieved when Kelly took him away from his desk-at least he did not have to pretend he was working. He thought, "Kelly would be a good distraction….she has always helped me when I need her…..Oh boy, I am looking forward to tonight…I need to relax!"

They had a quiet dinner at Angad's favorite steak joint. Angad was unusually quiet at dinner.

"Hey Angad! What's the matter baby?" Kelly sipped her beer and asked.

"Oh…nothing….may be too much work," Angad sipped his beer and said

"Are you kidding? Work? You never stress out about work….don't you fool me baby, what's up?" Kelly asked

"May be the surgery has worn me out," he smiled

"Who was that pretty girl with you this morning?" Kelly asked

"Kripa?" Angad's eyes lit up as he said her name

"I have never seen her before….your new girlfriend?" Kelly asked

"Naaa….just a good friend," Angad said

Kelly laughed out aloud, "You have a woman friend? I don't believe it!"

"Why not?" Angad was offended

"Angad….you cannot keep your hands off any woman…..I can't believe she is just your friend….may be she is not good in bed!" Kelly mocked at Kripa.

"KELLY! MIND YOUR LANGUAGE!" Angad was outraged.

"Hey…hey…hey….you really care for this woman….yeah?" Kelly's jaw dropped at his tone of voice.

"Yes..I do! What's your problem? And don't ever talk like that about her Kel," Angad frowned.

"Men! I can never understand you guys….you cannot keep your hands off all those women you never cared about, and the one woman you care about…you have not even touched her?"

"Kel…..I don't want to hurt her feelings…she has been through a lot in life….I am just helping her out…..nothing more……..nothing less…..she is not the kind of girl, who will be happy with one or two dates and move on….she would want and expect more…and I am not sure if I would be able to do that Kel….you know me…..probably better than I know myself," Angad covered his face with his hands, trying to hide any signs of emotions on his face.

Kelly squeezed his hands, "Angad….take your time, but why do I have a feeling that this girl means a lot to you……she is more than a friend…..if I am not wrong….she is 'THE GIRL.'

Angad looked up, "THE GIRL? No Kel…..I am not ready for that kind of commitment yet….I don't want to go there….hey care for dessert?"

"Dessert? Sure…how about your place? Your brother is not in town, is he?" Kelly asked

"Kel….actually….do you mind if," Angad paused

"Not at all! If you are not in mood for dessert…..you must be really worn out!" Kelly laughed and got up to leave, 'in that case, let me go home and pack….I have to leave for Denver tomorrow."

They both got up after paying the check.

Angad gave Kelly a small peck on her cheek, "Good night Kel…you are the best! Thanks for understanding."

"Anytime Angad! Hey, by the way, do you still drive your high school pick up truck?" Kelly asked

"Of course…..I have a lot of memories attached to that truck!" Angad winked as they walked out.

Angad got home by 9, very early by his standards. He was used to staying up and partying till late at night. He was just not in a mood to do that tonight. He sat down on the couch and flipped through some catalogs and fashion magazines.

As he was flipping through a 'Better Homes' magazine, he had a brilliant idea!

"I am going to surprise Kripa!"

The next day, he managed to get a copy of the keys to Kripa's apartment from Ruth.

He spent the whole day shopping for her apartment. He called in sick at work and picked out beautiful furniture, beddings, curtains, stereo and entertainment center, a spacious study desk for her apartment. He made sure the beddings and curtains were colorful with minimal white!

"Kripa…main chaahta hoon tum jahan bhi dekho, tumhey sirf rang hi rang nazar aaye," he said to himself as he hung the beautiful light blue curtains on the windows.

He was pleased with the end result, "Now you just need to move in, my Kripa…..oh sorry…my friend!" he said to himself, "I miss you Kripa….kaash weekend jaldi aa jaaye….I want to see you everyday!"

ooooh angad...he's definietly fallen for kripa..but angad ur disgusting...i cant believe u havnt gottn aids yet...anyways i can see kripa n angad are clicking cant wait for the next update..plz continue soon.. 😳 😃

Great part, he's so in love so why bother denying it hun?! How will Kripa react to him decorating the place, will she hate it? Probs since he hasnt STERILISED the place yet!!! 😆

That's the whole point! Kripa has been clean and germ-free all her life and Angad....eeeewww....but opposites attract and as Angad has changed Kripa, she will change him forever....as u can see he did not need dessert anymore 😆 😆 😆
