The couples are within arms width of each other, standing back to back Prachi bumps into Kripa's back, she turns around and apologises, Kripa is about to speak when she bumps into Anjali, she apologises and Anjali turns around to speak but all 3 girls are left speachless

The girls eye each other up
An (looks at Prachi) - looks like the Basu's invite anybody to their parties
K (looks at Anjali) - and that too people with no class
P (looks at Kripa) - or brains
Before the girls can say anything else their respective husbands come
Ka - Anjali come, lets dance
An - anything to get away from this crowd
Anjali walks away with Kavya
A - Kripa, you want to dance?
K - if she's dancing then I'm not! lets go to the bar
Angad and Kripa walk to the bar
N - Prachi...shall we...
P - no stay here, I will not go to the dance floor or to the bar
After a while the guys seperate from their wives and bump into each other
A - Kavya right? as in Nanda Empire?
Ka - yes that's me...and you're...
N - Angad Khanna, owner of Khanna Industries
A - correct Neev...
Ka - Kapoor Enterprise
N - so we all know each other
Neev glances at Prachi who is talking to Mukti
N - and from what I saw earlier....so do our wives but....we've never met outside business before, so how do they know each other
A - maybe they met at some party
Ka - no can't be, Anjali doesn't go to parties a lot
N - and Prachi doesn't go at all unless I'm with her, so that's out of the question
Ka - well it doesn't matter
A - I think it does to them....they didn't look too happy seeing each other
Ka - thats true, anyways Angad I heard you're looking for a partner for a new project?
A - yes, but I can't find any suitable ones
N - well how about you do the project with both of us? that way we will get to know each other better
Ka - that's a great idea, well Angad?
A - I think.....it will work, I'll have my assistant ring your assistants and arrange a meeting to discuss everything

Kavya turns around

Neev and Angad talk for a while until Kripa and Prachi come
P - Neev, why are you talking to them?
N - I'm not, I'm talking to Angad

A - bye
Angad puts his arm around Kripa's waist
A - so how do you know Mrs Nanda and Mrs Kapoor?
K - who cares?
A - I do, considering I'm hoping to do a joint project with their husbands
K - no way Angad, are you mad?
A - no Kripa I'm not mad, it will bring a lot of profit and increase our reputation
K - I don't want to talk about this!
Kripa walks away leaving Angad alone at the bar, outside Kavya and Anjali are heading to their car

An - what?
Ka - why is it a big deal that I was talking to Angad and Neev?
An - it just is
Ka - well for your information we'll be seeing a lot of each other if all goes well
An - what does that mean?
Ka - Angad needs partners for a project and he's more than happy to work with Neev and me, we're meeting up some time soon to discuss everything
An - no Kavya....I bet he's doing it to ruin our business
Ka - what? where did you get that idea from?
An - I'm telling you..Kripa put him up to this
Anjali sits in the car leaving Kavya looking confused, he shakes his head and sits in the car. Menawhile Neev and Prachi reach home, Prachi walks in to their bedroom and throws her bag on the bed
P - what were you thinking Neev? agreeing to do a project without even asking me?
N - I haven't agreed yet, I've only said I will meet with Angad and Kavya
P - that's still agreeing!
N - Prachi what's the big deal? I've never seen you this angry?
P - I...I can't tell you
Neev holds Prachi's hand and sits her down, he kneels in front of her
N - you cant tell me? your Neev.....why Prachi? at least tell me why you don't want me doing the project and I'll back out but give me a reason....
Prachi stays quiet, Neev stands up
N - ok don't tell me, then you have no reason to object or argue about this
P - but Neev
N - but nothing Prachi, its simple either you tell me why you hate Mrs Khanna and Mrs Nanda or you allow me to do the project, the choice is yours, I'm going to have a shower, think about it
Neev grabs his towel and leans forward to kiss Prachi's cheek but she moves away, he frowns and leaves the bedroom. Things aren't looking to good in the Khanna household either, Kripa has locked herself in the bathroom and Angad is standing outside knocking on the door
A - Kripa open up
K - no
A - Kripa stop being a baby
K - until you agree that you won't do any projects with them two I won't come out
A - why shouldn't I?
K - I'm your wife! you should listen to me
A - yes when my wife talks sense
Kripa opens the door and glares at Angad
K - what I'm talking nonsense now?
A - well yeah....its not like you're explaining anything to me, you're just forcing your decision on me
K - you shouldn't need an explanation, what happened to "whatever you say Kripa"
A - we can argue all night but I won't change my mind unless you give me a decent explanation!
K - Angad! please I am asking you to say no
A - and I'm asking you for a reason
Kripa groans and goes into their bedroom and shuts the door, Angad sighs
A - can I at least get a pillow?
K - no!
Angad frowns and heads downstairs to sleep on the couch. Meanwhile at the Nanda House, Anjali is giving Kavya the silent treatment while Kavya is sitting on their bed sulking, Anjali gets into a bed and pulls the covers over herself and faces the other way, before Kavya can come towards her she turns the lights off, Kavya reluctantly goes to bed
coming up - Angad, Neev and Kavya sign a contract while the girls have a flashback....
