Part8(2 nd hf): -

Kripa with a beautiful smile on her face turned around and almost fainted at what or should I say whom she saw. Those eyes she would never forget. They looked murderous and deadly. To ensure she was not having a nightmare she slowly with heavy steps walked towards him and pinched him hard on his hand. He let out a loud yelp that startled her to the core. This was for real. The entire restaurant went still and people turned towards the source of the sound. Angad highly embarrassed apologized and sat down all the while glaring at the lovely yet deadly minx in front of him. Aaliya also was surprised with Kripa's action. She asked her if she was all right and the reason for her behaviour. Kripa apologized nervously and then they both sat down and Aaliya introduced Angad. There was an uncomfortable strained silence that was only broken by Aaliya's constant chattering.
Angad could not believe that destiny could be so harsh so as to ensure that their paths had to cross in such a manner. They hardly exchanged a word being too busy scrutinizing and cursing the other.
After a couple of hours which seemed like ages for the two bitter enemies or colleagues did Aaliya put forth the much awaited prospect of her and Kripa to go to the dorms. Kripa grabbed the chance and almost ran out of the seat leaving Angad and Aaliya behind. Angad asked Aaliya if they could drop him at the hotel. Aaliya agreed.


Kripa who was waiting in her 'Lancer' was astonished to see Angad sit in her car along with Aaliya. Aaliya asked her to drop him at the hotel. On the way Kripa kept glancing at him through the rear view window. She was annoyed at the tricks destiny kept playing with her. Suddenly she noticed an uncomfortable eerie silence prevailing and gathering up courage she asked aloud a question that had been haunting her since the past couple of hours-

" Are you two dating???????"

Angad who had been glaring at her giving her dirty looks and had been drinking coke at that time started spluttering and choking up. Aaliya stared at her incredulously. Both of them at the same time-

"Dating?"

"Yeah!!! I mean like going out. I mean Aaliya you introduced Angad as being someone very special and dear to you. So I just thought……….."

Explosions of laughter filling up the car broke the strange sense of serenity. Aaliya laughed so hard and Angad stated cracking up so badly that confused Kripa even more. When finally things had calmed down, Kripa was utterly dazed and confused.
Kripa through gasps said-

"Darling, you…are letting your imagination… run wild. Meet Angad Khanna, my older brother."

Hearing this Kripa was so shocked that she stopped the car with a jerk.

"Brother? But you never told me. I mean…."

"Yeah. Krips. Sorry yaar. It's just that bhai is a cop and so I am not allowed to tell a soul. But now since you are also well acquainted with him and I practically pleaded him to let me tell you about our relation. Seriously Kripa- a guy and me. You are crazy."

The ride back was filled with an embarrassed silence at least on Kripa's part. After that she didn't utter even a single word.


The next day at 2 pm Kripa went to headquarters. Angad was already present. He was staring at her with an annoyed irritated but at the same time an amused expression. Kripa looked at him at the eye conveying a message to him as to back off. She was kind of disappointed when she had learned a few minutes earlier that Angad was also on the case. But right now she was apprehensive of the fact that would she be allowed on the case. She kept her fingers crossed, as this was the most interesting as well as complex case to be assigned to work on.

The meeting started at two. Alex with his counterpart perceived her deep desperate desire. Alex Kinkle had secretly noticed that she and Angad did not actually get along. To create more troubles for the darling little witch (his POV) was one of his every day wishes. He started –
" Good afternoon people. As you are all aware of the case thanks to the brief synopsis given by Agent Khanna we have decided to send agents on a diversification basis in pairs. As most of you have a great knowledge of the major languages we have decided to pair up each individual with some one of the opposite gender."
Announcing the pairs followed this. After a while now only four people were left.

ANGAD, Alice, KRIPA, Josh.

Kripa dreaded being paired with Angad. And then the last two pairs were being announced.

Guys thank you all for your wonderful comments. I know all the parts till now were actually boring but the actual fun starts now. I noe i'm very sorry for not updating regularly.Please bear with me. But Ill update every alternate day thats definite that too with medium sized parts ( soorryyyyy). If luck favours I might even update everyday. 😉 😉 And guys I might use Hum Tum cartoon strips to add flavour to my ff. Once agin thanking you all
