They spent the rest of the night talking, yes, just talking! And surprisingly enough, this time it was Raj who did most of the talking and Naina most of the listening. She had just realized how little she knew about Raj and his personal life. Raj told her all about his family, about his lil sis doing her 10th standard, his fashion designer mom, and his business tycoon father. His parents were usually traveling or spending their time fighting with each other and hardly spent any time with Raj or his sister Riya. So he was always a lonely child, since his sister was too young to understand him. He then told her about his childhood, academy life and everything else she wanted to know. Then he told her how he had fallen in love with her and was too scared to admit it. And then they said all sorts of romantic, mushy things to each other. Awwww…….. choooo chweet! When naina finally went back to her tent at 4 in the morning, she was too excited to catch any sleep and when she finally did, her alarm rang and she had to get up. She was in a very happy mood. She went out of her tent and saw raj. Immediately a huge smile spread across her face. She went towards him but suddenly pooja caught her hand.
Pooja- Naina, mujhe tujhse kuch baat karni hai.
Naina- haan to bol na
Pooja- Yahan nahi
And to naina's utter disappointment she led naina away near a huge tree.
Naina (impatiently)- kya?
Pooja- tu jho bhi kar rahi hai, who theek nahin hai.
Naina- aisa kya kar rahi hoon main?
Pooja- tu huda ka dil aise tod nahin sakti. Huda tujhse bahut pyaar karta hai. Tu aise uske saath nahin kar sakti hai…..
Naina- tu kya baat kar rahi hai….
Pooja- mein tere aur Capt ki baat kar rahi hoon. Mein sab jaanti hoon. Tere paas dil nahin hai kya? Tu huda ko itna dard kaise pahunchaa sakti hai?
Naina was angered beyond belief at these words.
Naina- shut up pooja! Bas……. Ab aur nahin. Thak gayee hoon main hamesha doosron ki khushi ke bare mein sochte hue. Hamesha doosron ke liye jee kar. Ab aur nahin. Pooja, agar kal ko koi ladka jis ke liye tere dil mein thoda sa bhi pyaar nahin hai tujhse aa kar kahe ki "pooja I love you very much. Tum hi mera sab kuch ho, please mujhse shaadi kar lo" to kya tu usse shaadi kar legi? Ali ko chod degi? Nahin na. to phir mein hi kyun hamesha apni khushi ki kurbaani doon? MBA chod diya bhaiya ka gaurav vaapas lautane ke liye, apni feelings ko dil mein chupaaya rakha academy ki rules ke liye. Kya kisi aur ne aisi kurabniyan di hai? Nahin na? to phir hamesha mein hi kyun? Hamesha mujhe hi kyun qurbani deni padti hai? Kyun mein apne pyaar ko kurbaan kar doon? Kya mujhe pyaar karne ka koi haq nahin? Saalon ke baad meri zindagi mein ek aur baar khushi aayee hai, aur tum chaahti ho ki mein isse bhi kurbaan kar doon? Kyun pooja, kyun? Bol.
Pooja did not know what to say. Naina's answer had stunned her.
But naina went on- surprised a pooja? Tu to yeh hi sochti hogi ki huda ko dukh pahunchega. Lekin mere bare mein kisi ne kabhi nahin socha na? Lekin aur nahin Pooja, aur nahin. Ab yeh Naina apne aap ke liye jeena seekh chuki hai.
She turned and stormed away. But aalekh caught her hand. Unnoticed by her he had heard all she said. She hugged him tightly.
Naina- Mein ne theek kiya na Aalekh?
Aalekh- haan naina. Bilkul theek kiya. Jab tak apna mooh na kholo yeh duniya apne ko goonga(dumb) samjhegi. Lekin jab apna mooh khul gaya na to yeh duniya hi goongi ho jaati hai. Fikar mat kar naina. Mein tere saath hoon.
Naina looked at Aalekh lovingly, just the same way she would look at Naveen.
Naina- Pata hai Aalekh, KMA mein jabbhi mujhe koi bhi mushkil hui hai too ne mera hamesha saath diya hai, hamesha meri madad ki hai. Too mera sab se bada sahara hai Aalekh. Navin bhaiya ki kami kabhi bhi poori to nahin ho sakti hai, lekin too ne unki kami thodi kam kar di hai. Aaj mujhe aisa lagta hai ki mera ek aur bhai hai jo mere saath hamesha hai.
Aalekh was touiched beyond belief.
Aalekh- aaj peheli baar kisi ne apun ko bhai kaha hai…… bahut accha laga apun ko. Ab to mein tere saath samesha hoon Naina. Ek bhai ka farz zaroor nibhaunga.
Suddenly a whistle was heard and everyone assembled near Raj.
Raj- this will be the last part of our ascent guys. After that you all will stand guard and I will keep the triggers at .3620. After that we will descend and our mission will thus be completed.
The ascent was very short, just an hour. They reached .3620 and saw that it was heavily guarded. Raj positioned them all and started going ahead when suddenly Naina held his hand. He turned back and saw that her eyes were full of concern and worry.
Raj- don't worry Naina I will be fine.
But she didn't leave his hand.
Naina- mujhe dar lagta hai. I don't feel right about this. Why don't you take Aalekh or Ali or someone with you.
Raj laughed.
Raj- if the enemies want to get to me, first year cadets are not going to be much of an obstacle in their way. But you don't worry Naina, just trust me. Everything will be just fine……. I promise.
And unwillingly Naina let go of him.
But some time after Raj left she saw something that made tremble with fear….. something was not allright…..
Raj went up and reached .3620. He entered the heavily guarded room where the triggers had to be kept. But to his horror he saw a spy waiting there for him pointing his gun at him.
Spy- Hands up! Bahut ullu bana diya hume. Ab aur nahin. Nakli triggers bahut dekh liye humne ab bas. Your time has come Capt.
Raj- but….. but….. how did you reach here. The place is so heavily guarded…..
The spy laughed.
Spy- 3/4th of the guard are our people. They are all waiting down for me. And don't try to act funny now capt. Your end has come.
There was no escape for Raj now…… he could not take out his gun either…..it was all over…… he would not be able to fulfill his promise to Naina. He closed his eyes so that he could see Naina in his imagination as he died………
BAM!!!!!!!!
