EPISODE- 45
"Good morning Delhi! It's me RJ Naina back on Radio Mirchi. Ab aap log soch rahein honge ki main itne dinon tak thi kahan. Well.... veryyyyyyyy sorry guys but I was out of town. Kuch zaroori kaam tha. But now I am back!! But you know what guys, in dinon mein maine bahut kuch seekha... life ko ek alag nazariye se dekha. You know life is like a journey. Lekin is journey mein aapko yeh nahin pata hota ki kab kaun se station pe yeh journey ek halt legi, kab kaun se track pe yeh turn legi aur kab koi is journey mein aapke saath chalne lagega aur kab achanak hi beech raaste mein aapka saath chod dega. Is journey mein aapko aise kai log milenge jo aapke saath chalenge but you never know if that person is just a co-traveller ya phir aap dono ki manzil bhi aapke raaste ki tarah ek hi hai.
Well friends, yeh thi meri choti si philosophy about life and I am sure ki aap sab ki koi na koi philosophy zaroor hogi aur woh hum throughout the show discuss bhi karenge. But as of now here's the song "Zindagi ek safar hai suhana" coming up for all my lovely listeners out there."
The show was progressing smoothly. She was happy to be back on her show. But she could not let Rajveer out of her mind. Her life was itself at a halt without Rajveer. No matter how much she tried, she could not move on. Once or twice during the show as listeners talked about life and love as an integral part of it, tears rolled down her cheek. But she controlled her emotions and carried on with her show.
"Alright friends ghadi keh rahi hai ki mere jaane ka waqt bas hone hi waala hai so before I wind up my show here we have our last caller. Hello who's that?"
There was a silence. Caller didn't say anything. Naina checked the connection. The call was still connected.
"Helloooooooo!! Anybody there? Who's calling?"
"Raj" said the caller.
"Raj!" Naina said that almost in a murmur. She was quite taken aback. She could not figure out why Rajveer had called up on her show.
"Hi Naina! How are you?"
"I am fine." Naina was almost stuttering.
"Tumne bilkul sahi kaha Naina. Life ki is journey mein kab kaun aapke sath chalne lage aur kab kaun aapka saath chod jaaye... You never know. Lekin agar aap kisi aur ke safar mein shaamil ho jaayein aur phir use ek mod pe jaa ke akele chod de aur baad mein aapko ehsaas ho ki aapne galti ki hai us insaan ko akela chod de to aapko kya karna chahiye?"
Naina understood what he meant. His voice was heavy and he was repenting.... Repenting on his decision to continue with his life without her. He was apologetic for not confessing his feelings to her. She knew it because she had heard them last night.
"Galtiyaan har insaan karta hai Raj. That's not a big deal. Big deal is to realize the mistake before it's too late. Agar aapko lage ki jise aapne peeche chod diya hai aapko uske saath hona chahiye tha to aapko apna raasta wapas mod lena chahiye. Take a U-Turn and go back."
"And how to know that it's not too late?"
"It's never too late Raj."
Thereafter there was a silence. After a long pause Raj finally said,
"You are right Naina. It's never too late if you want to come back and I want to."
Naina's hands were folded together and she was impatiently pressing her fingers to curb her anxiety. She knew wat was to come up next and she wanted it to come up straight away without any delay or a new problem. She was running out of patience and wanted him to say what she wanted to hear. A small pause was all he needed to summon up the courage and gather his composure before he confessed,
"I Love you Naina."
Her heartbeats were louder. She could hear the thump. Those words had a magical effect. One moment her anxiety crossed her level of endurance but the other moment she was calm and elated. She was too happy to react properly. A big smile came on her face and a tear rolled down her cheek. That was the happiest moment of her life. He had finally confessed. And now it was her turn. She could see her friends and colleagues gathered outside the glass cabin. They were gazing at her impatiently. Even they were waiting for her answer but not more than Rajveer. She closed her eyes to ward off the view of the people in front of her. She needed only Rajveer, if not in front of her then in her imagination. Her grin widened as she remembered that warm and attractive face and her feelings came out as her confession instinctively.
"I love you too Raj."
There was a huge roar of applause outside the cabin. She could see them cheering for her but could not hear any sound inside that soundproof cabin. But as if she was interested in that. There was only one thing, just one person to intrest her at that point of time. Naina ended the conversation then and there and a song played.
"You can run, you can hide but you can't escape my love........."
Naina hurriedly ran out of her radio console. Her true love, her Rajveer was waiting for her.
