~*~Part 14~*~

It is Karan and Kunal's birthday, the clock strikes 7 AM and the pair of them get out of bed and run into their parents room where Kripa is sleeping, they jump onto the bed

Kar - mama utho!

Ku - mama!!

Kripa stirs and gets up

K - kya hua? itna shor kyun macha rahe ho?

Ku - aj humhara birthday hai

K - arre haan...happy birthday beta

Kripa hugs Karan and Kunal and kisses their cheeks

Ku - mama, papa kahan hai?

K - hm...phone karti hoon

Kripa calls Angad

A - hi beautiful

K - kahan ho tum?

A - ek concert par jaa raha hoon, kyun?

K - inhe wish nahin karenge?

A - oh yes, phone do unhe

K - ruko

Kripa puts the phone on speaker

A - hey boys!

Kar/Ku - papa!!!

A - happy birthday guys

Kar - papa aap aaj aayenge na?

A - beta i'm sorry lekin aaj aa nahin paoonga

Ku - but papa....

A - i'm sorry Kunal....Karan

Kunal and Karan get sad faces and leave the room

K - voh gaye.....

A - oh no

K - kyun tang kar rahe ho? aaj aajana

A - Kripa, tumhe kya lagraha hai, main jaan booj kar apne beton ka birthday miss karoon ga? I can't come

K - tho teek hai Angad, agar tum aaj nahin aaye tho main bhi tumse baat nahin karoon gi

A - but Kripa...

Kripa hangs the phone up and gets out of bed to prepare for the boys' birthday party. Downstairs Kunal and Karan are sitting on the sofa looking upset, Abhir sees them and goes to them

Ab - hey little champs, itne udaas kyun ho?

Ku - papa yahan nahin hai

Ab - oh that's a big problem....

Kar - Abhir uncle....aap papa ko kaho ke voh aajaye

Ab - Karan main kehta zaroor lekin tumhare papa meri baat sunta nahin

Kripa comes inside

K - Abhir zara meri help karna, in dono ki party tayar karni hai

Kar - humhe party nahin karni

Ab - what? why not?

Ku - agar papa yahn nahin hai tho hum apna birthday celebrate nahin karenge

Kripa looks sad

K - tumhare papa ki majboori hai......

Kar - no papa, no party

K - teek hai, agar no party then no cake, no presents

Ku - teek hai, humhe nahin chahiye cake ya presents, chalo Karan

Kunal and Karan leave the room and go upstairs, Kripa watches them sadly, Abhir puts his arm around her

Ab - don't worry Kripa....main Angad ko jaanta hoon, voh zaroor aayega

K - he better Abhir, nahin tho main bohat naraz ho jaoongi

Ab - chill ok, kaho main kya karoon?

Kripa gives Abhir a list of things to get, Abhir leaves to get them, Kripa calls Sujal and Kashish

S - haan Kripa bolo

K - voh aaj Karan aur Kunal ka birthday hai

Ka - really? thats great

K - kaise great....dono upset hai ke yahan Angad nahin hai, ke rahe hai ke agar unke papa nahin aate tho voh birthday nahin manayenge

S - yeh Angad bhi na....

K - anyways tum sab aa jana, aaj raat 6PM inka birthday celebrate hoga

Ka - teek hai hum aajayenge

Kripa hangs up and sees to the party arrangements meanwhile Nihaal sees the boys sitting upset in their room with Ria

N - hey boys, happy birthday

Kar/Ku - thanks

Nihaal sits opposite them and puts Ria on his laps

N - Ria...inhe kya hua?

R - chachu birthday par nahin aa sakte

N - oh no....dheko agar tumhare papa nahin aa sakte tho tum birthday mana sakte hai

Kar - nahin, agar papa nahin aate tho no birthday

N - tho tumhe apna present nahin chahiye?

Ku - nahin

N - tho teek hai, main tum dono ke presents Ria ko de doonga

R - yea!!!

Ku - tho de do....humhe koi fark nahin parta

Ria sees them both sulk

R - nahin mujhe nahin chahiye.....agar Karan aur Kunal khush nahin tho main bhi nahin khush

Ria gets up and sits with Karan and Kunal and sulks, Nihaal sighs and leaves the room, he goes downstairs where Kripa is talking to a delivery man, Nihaal helps bring the stuff inside then sees the man out and goes to Kripa

N - Kripa

K - hmm

N - Angad kab aayega?

K - pata nahin Nihaal, kyun?

N - voh upar..Kunal aur Karan....

K - abhi bhi udaas hai?

N - yea.....aur saath saath Ria bhi udaas hogayi hai, main usse udaas nahin dhek sakta Kripa

K - acha? main Angad ko phone karti hoon

Kripa calls Angad but his phone goes to voicemail, Kripa sighs

K - kya karoon Nihaal?

N - duah ke aaj Angad aa hi jaaye

K - usse aana hi hoga, agar nahin aaya tho usse main mar daloongi

Nihaal's face falls on hearing Kripa joke about murdering Angad and Prithvi comes before his eyes, he shakes it off and leaves. That evening the Khanna Mansion is decorated for the birthday party, all the guests have arrived but the kids are still sulking, Kripa is trying to get them changed

K - Karan! Kunal! issi waqt kapre badalo varna main bohat naraz ho jaoongi!

Suh - kyun chila rahi ho? Karan, Kunal tum dono jald se jald tayar ho jao, dheko sab neech aa chuke hai

Kar - nahin badi maa, hum nahin tayar honge

K - KARAN! KUNAL!

Karan and Kunal look at Kripa, both get scared and hide behind Suhana who comforts them and gets them changed, Kripa storms out of the room with them in arm and heads downstairs. She makes them stand behind the table with the cake on where Kashish is

K - yeh sab Angad ki vaja se hua hai! na voh concert par jaata nahin inka birthday miss karta

Ka - Kripa chill.....

K - kaise chill hoon? inka dil toot gaya hai Kashish, yeh dono apne papa ke saath birthday mana chahte hai....kahan se laoon inke papa ko

Kashish consoles Kripa

K - chalo ab muskurao you two

Karan and Kunal smile weakily, suddenly the lights go off and a guitar is heard, then someone begins singing Happy Birthday

?? - happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to Karan and Kunal, happy birthday to you

The lights come on and Angad smiles at his boys, he puts the guitar down and puts his arms out

Kar/Ku - papa!!!

Karan and Kunal ran to their father and jumped in his arms, he hugged them tightly and kissed their cheeks

A - tumhe kya laga? papa tumhara birthday miss karega......never

Kar - papa you're the best!

Kripa put her hands on her hips and faced Angad, he looked up and could tell she was angry, he held his ears

A - sorry

K - tum na.....tumhe main dhek loon gi akele mein.....ab chalo aur cake kaatiye

Angad follows Kripa to the table, Karan and Kunal cut the cake and everyone begins feeding them. Nihaal feels good seeing Suhana smile but feels bad because he's the reason for her tears

coming up - Suhana agrees to marry Nihaal for sake of kids

~*~Part 15~*~

Everyone celebrated the birthday in full blast, everyone had loads of fun especially the kids, it was late night, the kids were sleeping, Suhana went to check on the kids, she found Nihaal sitting by Ria's bed watching her sleep, Nihaal noticed her and stood up, he closed the door and went to his room, Suhana followed him

Suh - Nihaal

N - hmm?

Suh - vahan kya kar rahe the?

N - bas Ria ko sote hue dhek raha tha....kitni pyaari lag rahi thi

Suh - acha.....

N - vaise kal free rehna

Suh - kyun?

N - tumhe yaad nahin, Ria ki teacher ke saath meeting hai

Suh - arre haan, thanks for reminding me

N - its ok

Suhana is about to leave the room but she stops and faces Nihaal

Suh - Nihaal, thanks, jo tum kar rahe ho....bachon ke liye

N - its ok Suhana....main yeh apne swarth ke liye kar raha hoon..ab Prithvi bhaiya zinda nahin lekin Ria aur Tia ko dhek kar bhaiya ka ehsaas hota hai

Suhana just looks at him, she leans forward and kisses his cheek, she smiles and leaves the room, Nihaal sits on the bed, a tear falls from his eye

N (thinks) - aaj tho tum mujhe shahid thoda thoda pasand karti ho, lekin jab tumhe pata lag jayega ke bhaiya ki maut meri vaja se hui tho tum mujhe nafrat karne lago gi

Nihaal shakes off the thought and goes to sleep. Suhana is sitting in her room when Kripa comes in with a glass of milk

K - lo Suhana dood

Suh - thanks Kripa....betto

Kripa sits next to her and notices she is lost in her own world

K - hey Suhana kya hua?

Suh - soch rahi hoon

K - kis ke baare mein?

Suh - bachon ke baare mein......aur...Nihaal.....

K - Nihaal? voh kyun?

Suh - voh bachon ka kitna kayal karta hai, abhi abhi voh Ria ke paas tha, usse sote hue dhek raha tha

K - voh tho roz aise karta hai....bas tumne aaj hi dheka

Suh - acha? usmein khaafi badlaav aa gaya hai

K- haan.....pehle kaisa tha aur ab....kitna fark hai

Suh - Prithvi yahan hota tho kitna khush hota

K - ek baat poochoon....bura mat maan na

Suh - bolo?

K - tum Nihaal ko pasand karti ho?

Suh - pata nahin.....kya kuch nahin kiya us ne

K - tumne abhi kaha ke voh badal chuka hai

Suh - agar tum meri jaga hoti tho kya karti?

K - .....shahid pasand karti....shahid nahin

Suh - Abhir chahta hai ke main Nihaal se shaadi karloon.....tumhe kya lagta?

K - Abhir ki baat sahee hai......Ria aur Tia ko baap kya pyaar dena zaroori hai.....aur agar tumhe lagta hai ke Nihaal voh de paayega tho voh teek hai agar nahin tho voh bhi teek hai. Yeh tumhe sochna hoga Suhana, ke tum kya chahti ho, acha chalti hoon varna Angad aajayega

Suh - ok, goodnight

Kripa smiles and leaves, Suhana thinks about how Nihaal has taken care of her kids after Prithvi's death. She smiles to herself and goes to sleep. The next day she wakes up, freshens up and goes downstairs to find Nihaal has gotten Ria ready

Suh - Ria tayar ho?

R - yes mama

Suh - tho chale

Ria holds Suhana's hand, they head for the door when Suhana stops and turns around

Suh - Nihaal

N - hmmm?

Suh - chalo ge saath mere?

Nihaal smiles and agrees, they leave, meanwhile at the Garewal Mansion Sujal is in the bathroom

S - Kashish!!

Ka - haan?

S - mera towel do

Ka - kitni baar kaha hai tumhe, agar bathroom mein barte ho tho towel lekar jao!

S - galti hogayi, ab do na!

Kashish picks up the towel and hands it to Sujal, he comes out changed and hugs her from behind

S - mmmm you look beautiful

Ka - thank you

S - soch raha hoon aaj ghar par ruk jaoon....rukoon?

Ka - teek hai tum ruk jao main office chale jaati hoon

Kashish laughs, Sujal kisses her cheeks

S - very funny....

Ka - aur nahin tho kya? jao office abhi!

S - kaisi biwi ho? romance bhi nahin karne deti

Ka - romance tum bohat karte ho....tumhare bache iska saboot hai

Sujal smiles and kisses her lightly and leaves for work. Later Suhana and Nihaal come back from the school with Ria, as soon as they step into the house Ria runs away to play leaving Suhana and Nihaal alone, Nihaal is about to leave when Suhana stops him

Suh - Nihaal

N - yea?

Suh - mujhse shaadi karoge?

N - kya?

Suh - kya tum mujhse shaadi karoge?

N - agar tum chahti ho.......then yes

Suh - main chahti hoon....lekin sirf bachon ke liye

Nihaal smiles and hugs her, Kripa and Angad see, Angad feels awkward but Kripa tells him what Suhana was saying

A - iska kya matlab?

K - yehi ke Suhana ne faisala kar liya ke voh Nihaal se shaadi karegi

A - shaadi? Nihaal se.....I....I don't think so

K - kya? kyun nahin? aakhir usse bhi hak hai khush hone ka

A - jaanta hoon.....lekin Prithvi....

K - voh yehi chahe ga, please tum inqaar mat karna

A - agar tum itne yakeen se keh rahi tho teek hai

Angad hugs Kripa and looks at Nihaal, deep down he feels it is wrong but doesn't say anything. Kripa lets go and congratulates both of them

Suh - Kripa tum zyada tayariyan mat karo acha? main ek choti si get together chahti hoon

K - but Suhana.....maana ke yeh tumhari doosri shaadi hai lekin Nihaal ki pehli hai

Suh - jaanti hoon, par main itni dhoom dhaam se nahin karna chahti

K - but...

N - Kripa.....Suhana jo keh rahi hai usse maanlo, bas hum honge, Sujal, aur uski family teek hai Suhana?

Suh - haan

K - teek hai teek hai, agar meeyan biwi raazi tho kya kare bhabhi? jaisa tum kaho

Over the next few days Kashish and Kripa plan the small wedding, after two weeks everything is finished, the wedding day arrives, Suhana is sitting in front of the mirror in her wedding clothes, she remembers hers and Prithvi's wedding, Kashish and Kripa come to her

K - kya hua Suhana?

Suh - Prithvi ki yaad aa rahi hai

Ka - bas Suhana, Prithvi tumhara ateet hai, aur Nihaal tumhara aaj aur kal samjhi?

Suh - hmmm

Ria comes inside, she is wearing a red dress, she sits on Suhana's lap and kisses her cheeks

R - mama aap bohat achi lag rahi hai

Suh - thanks beta

R - aur Nihaal uncle bhi ache lag rahe hai

Suhana smiles, Ria runs away, Kashish and Kripa take Suhana downstairs where the mandap is set up, Nihaal is sitting at the mandap, the kids are with Sujal and Angad

A - yeh teek nahin hai Sujal

S - kyun nahin?

A - mujhe bas teek nahin lag raha.....

S - chill Angad

Suhana sits at the mandap next to Nihaal, the pandit begins the wedding rituals, they both stand up for the sacred phere when the door opens, everyone is shocked, Suhana has tears flowing down her cheeks, Nihaal's eyes are wide open, Angad and Sujal walk towards the person standing by the door, Angad puts his hand out and touches the guys cheek, tears are flowing down everyones cheeks, Angad and Sujal hug the guy but he doesn't react, he is too busy staring at Suhana

A (crying) - tu zinda hai

S (crying) - kahan tha tu?

A - tu kuch bolta kyun nahin....Prithvi!!!

Prithvi stares at them and moves away from them, he walks towards the mandap and looks at Suhana, who lowers her gaze

P - mera intezaar nahin kar saki? ke shaadi karne lagi thi? voh bhi us insaan se jis.....

Prithvi looks at Nihaal who is still shocked

P - ....jisse tum itni nafrat karti ho?

Suh - voh main......(crying) humhe laga ke tum....kahan chale gaye the?

Suhana moves towards him and he holds her in his arms

P - yeh tho meri majboori thi...lekin tum?

Prithvi holds her and looks over her shoulders, he sees Ria and Tia standing beside Kashish, he goes towards them but they hide behind Kashish's legs, he kneels down on the floor beside them

P - Ria.....Tia.....

R - .....(softly) papa

Prithvi hugs Ria and tears flow down his cheeks, he then picks up Tia and holds Ria's hand, he goes past Suhana

P - main apne bachon ko yahan se le jaa raha hoon.....tum befikaar yeh shaadi karlo

Suh - kya?

coming up - Prithvi tells Angad and Sujal his story

I know most of you guessed that Prithvi was alive, but the real mystery is where he has been and why he is being so distant from everyone and is taking his kids from Suhana and telling her to continue with the marriage.
