“she seems to be doing fine” he said abruptly

This was so painful and hopeless she realized

She felt terrible for Taaruni, everyone was against her at this time. What seemed like a brave fearless decision appeared the most hare brained and dumb right now

Her youngest came down weeping

“Kya hua?” she gathered him and hugged him

Taaruni and Harold played with Aseem for a while and he was tucked in bed with Taaruni

It was day 4 after the attempted kidnapping

Tushar really didn’t want the store open

He didn’t know who else was out there

The guys Pradyut had hired were already on the job discreetly

It was a crowded lower middle class market

There was enough loungers and foot traffic for the men to go unnoticed

Sunil and Deepak both offered to stay on

She was grateful but promised she would close before the dry cleaners next door

The call from Purohit came for the settlement

She was willing to go right away, but the appointment was the following evening, at their office.

“Can I get a check soon?”

“Oh most definitely, we are close”

“What do u mean? Not tomorrow?”

“Umm… we still have to file the decision with the courts”

“I am waiting to pay people I owe”

“Oh? Do u?” she was irritated

“Yes Ma’am”

She hung up

She texted Pradyut politely

“Hello Pradyut this is Taaruni Bhushan, can we in some way speed up the paperwork please?”

He read it and was furious

“That’s why we have lawyers Ms Bhushan” he texted back an hour later

Her heart skipped a beat when his text arrived

“I know you have attorneys, I don’t, I have people I have to pay”

“Maybe you should get one?”

“Is that why your team is delaying the settlement”

“I am not involved in my attorney firm’s calendar scheduling”

“I certainly didn’t expect snark…. I want what is lawfully owned to me”

“My company Towers Partners owns the lot, I should not be answering questions directly”

“Got it” she threw her phone on her chair as her blood boiled

He called Purohit and quizzed him on what the delay was, they talked for over half hour and he hung up

“You should go with us beta” Gopal insisted as the men finished breakfast

“I will have to go for the next appointment, but not planning any sooner”

Sumedha looked on nervously

“I plan to go see her and her Mum”

He shrugged

“We would all be better off if we went together”

“No” Pradyut got up

“Will you come over for dinner?”

“No Veer and I have meetings about Goa”

“You can always have them over at home. I wanted to make Rajasthani food beta”

“Umm… I will call you Ma”

Sumedha hugged him and didn’t let go

“I love you and her and the baby” she blurted abruptly

“well…. Good to know”

“Pradyut” Sumedha hung on

“I know it hurts you and bothers you Ma” he spoke softly and gruffly “I am not going to go beg her” he warned

“But the baby?”

“the baby will be just fine”

“She was so right for you”

“Was” Pradyut nodded calmly

“Sumi… Sumi” Gopal called out to her sternly

“I HAVE to talk to my son Gopal”

“Ahem…” Gopal cleared his throat

“I love you both” Pradyut grinned and hugged them individually

“We know that”

“She is a strong girl” Sumedha again brought up Taaruni

Pradyut didn’t answer, just bend down to pick up the newspaper, and rolled it up

“We are going this evening beta, if u wont bring ur business associates home for dinner”

“Have a good trip” he smiled and waved and left for work

I don’t think Taaruni should ever admit anything to this guy. He doesn’t deserve her.

His ego is to important for him.
child could have both parents love and could live under one roof with both his parents, if only he let goes his ego.

He could really not be wrong at all when it came to honouring the commercials he agreed with Taaruni and the delay could all be on part of his attorney but the way he just spoke to her was really really cold.

Of all the male characters you created Nisha, this guy’s ego is size of mountain Everest.

Even Ranaav was better off.

I don’t think he ever loved her.
