She went to the kitchen

“Kaha leke jaa raha hai beta? His arm is hurt, fingers are plastered up”

“Arey Ma is not a fracture… at least we don’t know yet” Tushar laughed

Her mother proceeded to tell her how the man got hurt, every little detail with photographic memory

“Did u show her pictures?” Taaruni accused Pradyut

“It’s a wilderness retreat no tech” Tushar spoke for Pradyut

“That’s why I left you a note” Pradyut grinned and waved a fork

“Wonder whose nightstand you left it at” she smiled sweetly hinting to her mother that her darling son in law sleeps around

It was almost midnight when she changed, brushed her teeth and went to bed, cuddled with Harold

There was a knock on the door, she jumped out of her skin

Ma took meds and was usually knocked out

She peeked through the large windows

“If he wants me to go to Delhi now I will kill him”

She was so angry about that thought, she swiftly opened the door before the next knock

“I cannot go to Delhi at midnight, don’t you dare,!!!!” she scream whispered

He went to her room and then to the bathroom Harold went crazy, running 20 circles around him in excitement

“Hes not the Pope!!!” she hissed at the dog

She went back to bed, got up and pulled out a clean towel and left it on a chair

“Do u need a tooth brush” she asked after softly knocking the bathroom door

“I got one”

She went to bed strangely anxious and afraid

He showed up 20 minutes later and slid in, lifted the dog from in between and placed him by his feet

The stupid dog didn’t mind, he wanted to be at his God’s feet so he curled up on Pradyut’s

“Seriously?” she questioned the puppy

He yelped

He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her closer

“Don’t” she whispered

“Roonie” he whispered that was his endearment/ intimacy name for her

“Oh no” she stiffened, whispering

“I left you a freaking note” he pinned her on her back and mounted her groaning
