Taaruni stepped out to the back verandah “Haa Ma… phenko” she giggled arms wide open

“Tushar aaya hai beta, with your puppy” Nidhi flung a pile of laundry

Taaruni was gone running to receive Harold

“I have to change” she muttered

Pradyut came in first

The open appreciation on his face on seeing her eyelet dress with nothing underneath was memorable, when she bend down to pick Harold up, he let his eyes roam over her with unconcealed interest

“I know, I know” she cooed to the dog, as the lil 4 legged creature ran in spazzed circles around both of them

“Yayy you both are here now” he cooed to Pradyut and wanted to be picked up, went on his back paws and scratched his work pants

He picked him up

“Thanks”

“Do mujhe” she demanded

“No you saw he wants me”

“He doesn’t… Pfftt… I mean he is just happy to see me”

“Wanna bet” he set the puppy down and went back to ogling at his wife

“Like ur dress”

“Its hot”

“I can see how hot it is” his eyes darted to her chest

It was a pale washed out pink eyelet hole swing sleeveless dress,

“Great” she muttered turning away from him

He was fine with either view

Her mother was screaming from the terrace

“Haa Maaa” she ran to the back verandah again

“Taru kapde phenk diye tumne” her Mum was yelling

“Haan to aap neeche aao na?”

“Arey ek taar yaha toot gayi, bedsheet geeli hai”

“Ma”

“Beta kapre uthao” Nidhi was irritated that Taaruni had flung all the dry clean laundry on the verandah floor, without catching it

“Ma Tushar asked you to keep the roof grate closed, raat ko koi aa gaya to”

“Who is even here? I am there with tushar na”

“Maa… Pradyut’s here” she whispered

“KYAAA?”

“Never mind” she grunted scooped up the laundry and went to her bedroom and threw it on the bed

Pradyut went after her holding the puppy

“Why did you come over?” she asked

“I miss Harold” he mocked her love for harold

She walked over to him and put her hands on her hips and growled

“Harold doesn’t miss you, do mujhe” she extended her arms

He extended his arm and traced from hole to hole to hole, feeling the bots of skin under thereShe slapped his hand off hotly

She saw Tushar approaching the door, JAO… tushar is here”

“So?”

“I HAVE to change” she scowled

“I like the dress” he leaned on the wall

“Well my brother will kill me”

She looked afraid

Pradyut saw deep respect in her eyes

“Was he your boss”

“What do u mean WAS” she demanded

“I mean… I am now” his lips twitched

“In hell” she muttered

He laughed out loud

“JAO Pradyut”

Harold woke up in his arms and looked at her curiously when he heard the scolding

“Kuch nahi kaha maine” she warned

“Looks like the guy’s turning to my side”

“DO mujhe Harold Pradyut”

“No…” she fought with him not so subtly

He let the dog go and pinned her to the wall and bend down

“Pradyutttt… she groaned up at him

He bend down and kissed his fave spot behind her right ear on her neck and let her go

His hand went all over her dress

Her guttural groan was audible

“TAROOOO” Tushar was calling

She ran into her bathroom, and then ran out to grab some clean clothes from the pile on the bed

Her mother was fawning over her SIL

Fussing over his taped up fingers and elbow listening to his wilderness story spell bound

“Taroooo dekho kaun aaya hai” Nidhi explained

She rolled her eyes “Pehle dekh chuki ek baar” she muttered

The men burst out laughing

“ She sounds like u are a TV show” Tushar elbowed Pradyut

“Tru”

“Ma khaana kya hai?” Tushar questioned going to the kitchen

“Kaha jaana hai tujhe, abhi full bana nahi beta”

“Pradyut wants a Enfield motorcycle, I finally found a vintage dikhane leke ja raha hoon”

Taaruni was shocked, WHEN did they develop a friendship

“BEtAAAA aapko to chot lagi hai” Nidhi cooed

“Yeah like THAT’S what u care about now?” Taaruni rolled her eyes

“I will be careful”

“Taroooo kuch keh beta” Nidhi pulled her in unnecessarily, going into the kitchen

“When did you become friends with my brother?” she walked up to him and hissed

Pradyut flashed a smile

Pradyut might be enjoying this.

He will understand how Taaruni is feeling as she makes him feel they same when it comes to his parents.

Even Harold is no longer exclusively hers 🤣.

“I mean… I am now” his lips twitched 🤣

Waiting for Taaruni to fuss over his taped up fingers and elbow.

Harold wanted dude to pick him up. He is no longer her little baby. He is everyone's baby now.

Oh he appreciated the view all right. And he let her know it.

Is he the boss of her now? She is not about to admit that so quickly.
