That was not a white lie. That was a blatant lie. Take the kid and throw out the mother. Thats what their approach is.

When will the parents learn? They are creating a lot of bitterness that will take a long time to forget.

Hateful and Hurtful

Another implosion happened when Apurva returned from the pottery place with Mihir and Jaidrith

Somesh accused Aatreya of being disrespectful and, Pramila was sobbing in the kitchen, while Aatreya was happily taking a call in his office

Mihir generally liked to stay out of family politics, he told the Raos they had eaten already and he wanted to go walk by the beach

Somesh was not happy but watched him leave

Jaidrith barged into Aatreya’s room to tell him what he had painted, they were frying it in the kiln so he couldn’t bring it back

Somesh went off to scold him, Aatreya was never allowed to enter the bedroom in Bangalore where Somesh frequently brought work home and was buried in his files

“You have to stay outside when your father is working” Somesh smiled but conveyed the point

“I want to tell him what I made?” Dhru’s eyes were large like saucers and his expression turned into one of fear

“He is working”

“Pa… its OK” aatreya turned away from his standing desk and grabbed Dhru’s hands

“These are good habits”

“Umm.. nope… I was out of his life for 10 years I use every minute I get”

“that is why I keep saying if you get married and work out a solution with his mother you can see the child more”

“Legally grab him?” Aatreya was not in the mood for kindness today

“You can disrespect your mother, not ME” Somesh growled

“I heard you outside trying to dramatize” Aatreya accused

Dhru was wearing his airpods and not looking, just running into a door

Somesh turned to grab and cuddle him and reassure him

Dhru pulled away awkwardly

“The child will never be attached with Amma and I if he does not stay here”

“He is HERS I cannot force him” he said looking into his Dad’s eyes

“You want to raise him how you want, you want to have relations with that woman, you want…” Somesh lowered his voice

Aatreya squirmed and cringed

“Umm.. I am 33, you should let me decide”

“We have to have boundaries for the child”

“No, Pa I wont…”

Pramila peeked “Don’t say anything to him, we are here for a duty, we need to help Apurva”

Somesh nodded realizing his wife was seeking support in ganging up against the son

“I have asked Apurva to call her and tell her he Jaidrith can be here for two or three weeks until doctor confirms pregnancy”

“No Amma absolutely not” Aatreya rushed toward the door angrily

“I am not asking HER to come just the child”

“Oh yes, you don’t want to see HER”

“He is a Rao I want him here” Pramila was ready to face off

“He goes back tomorrow evering Apurva can visit her, if she cannot I will bring him by every other day, next week he will be here Mon-Wed, and then Sun-following Thursday, we have worked it out after a great deal of planning”

“Your own child you have to plan?”

“You see its HER child I showed up in her life and she is gracious enough to allow me”

“He will talk like cinema” Pramila mumbled in Kannada

“She has no one except Dhru”

The nickname irritated Somesh

“Just taking from her and never accepting her or welcoming her or even including her in our family. Like you two never even think good thoughts about her. She gave your family, apparently… she gave your family its first grand child”

Pramila was furious

“Its your child too”

“No its not he is more HERS than mine… you have no reason to hate her. The reasons you say are reasons are nothing but hateful ideas that are hurting me and hurting her”

He picked up his keys and walked out to his room where Dhru was sprawled on the bed reading an anime book

“Lets go get some icea cream bud”

“What about dinner?” Pramila shrieked

“I am not hungry Amma”

the most annoying thing about these kind of indian parents is that they BELIEVE they are absolutely right and completely fail to see their own hypocrisy.. agar 10 log bol rahe h that what u r doing is wrong then atleast ponder over ur behavior for once.. but no, so stubborn and rigid.. bhagwan nahi ho yaar tum

Why do parents become so mean and all knowing till the point they start hurting their children emotionally and they don't even realize😭... Aatreya, Apurva and Mrunalini have different problems but are getting hurt by similar source💔

What do they mean by more? And what solution are they talking about? They have never even acknowledged Mru as a mother.
