Prologue and Index
There are certain decisions we take for the sake of the happiness of someone else. Decisions we aren't able to come to terms with liking, forget loving. Decisions in which our choice is asked but isn't considered because according to them, this decision is life-saving. Decisions we come to love, and with time begin to realise the goodness and happiness hidden behind it.
Such was a decision Gungun had taken, when she agreed to marry Chant Chashmish only for the sake of, and after getting emotionally blackmailed by, her father. And now, as she sat next to him on the altar, just a step away from getting bound in a relationship the world labelled as the most sacred, she believed that a relationship with Mr Scientist was the best thing to have happened to her. l
She saw pure happiness glistening in her father's eyes after years. Her mother-like aunt's features gave away her exuberance, as she ran up and about, tending to last minute work. She found family in his; a family she never knew she'd come to love as her own.
What else, you may ask?
And she found a best friend. Someone who liked Gungun- not Gungun Bhatnagar. Someone whose fights held teasing glances. Someone whose scolding held concern. Someone whose actions held meaning over words.
A genuine best friend.
