This was different,unexpected and unique. So this is my first take about the conversation between Raanav and Satyen.

Smrita is Satyen 's wife and he thinks Raanav his son.. has helped in encouraging her outlook towards middle class folks ! Satyen is right that Ra should not let this go easily, and make excuses for his mother. Viveka is his wife and her self respect/dignity should always comes first.

But how is Satyen not responsible? This cannot be the first time she has behaved this way. He has to have ignored and let it go in the past..if he saw how she was influencing Ra his son..why has he never objected in the past.

Anyway in the end it is about Ra and how he is already taking baby steps of realization that his Mom behavior toward his Vi is toxic. Nasik trip of all men sounds bad or we have a nice surprise in store 😘

Ps. Was laughing that Ra was banished like a kid and finally asked his favorite to have lunch...which he did not like. 😊

About the update, I am happy that Satyen has finally decided to put his foot down. It's not like he wasn't aware of his wife's thoughts about different class or her disdain towards them. But as long as it was about superficial issues like clothes and likes/dislikes, he laughed it off. But now, Smrita is making her intentions clear by suggesting Ra & Vi shouldn't have kids any time soon (or ever). More so, because this bit of advice was only for the DIL from the less affluential family.

I hope this chat with Satyen helps Raanav realize he needs to take a stand. Pushing things under the proverbial rug can only take things so far. Maybe now he will understand why Vi is desperate to make friends in this house. Or how lonely she must be when Satyen & Raanav are not in the house. If he knows Vi even a little, he would know she must not have told him many other condescending things Smrita must have said to her.

Smrita's husband & favorite son are upset with her. She won't be happy with Vi for being the reason behind it.

Satyen is realising how much of dislike and hate his wife has within her towards Viveka and people who do not belong to her financial status.

Would he have not asked Raanav to marry Viveka if he had realised this earlier?

Raanav does realise now that his mother probably will never accept Viveka for her being from a middle class family. And what Satyen said was true, both mother and son were feeding off from each other about their hatred for people coming from lower financial status.

Raanav has a lot of thinking to do. He has huge inner battles to fight now. He has a lot of change and to begin with, he needs to start looking at the whole world from a totally different perspective.

And I guess talking to his mother today made him realise it more.

Has Smrita ever wondered that if they were not this rich, Lekha would never have given Rakshit one glance? Can someone not tell her that relationships cannot be built based on money always?

I liked how Satyen said that if his mother had suggested something like this to Smrita, there would have been huge battles at home.

He is making Raanav see his mother from a neutral POV.

If the men will be in Nasik for few days, I feel Viv should go to her parent's house. Don't want her to be alone with Smrita at home as Smrita is pretty pissed off with her now.

I said it was a funny update when Smrita is telling to use some drastic measure to stop having babies. I am surprised no one told me off. Satyen was upset with Raanav and he told Raanav that he has the same view about class prejudice as his mother. just for Viveka, he makes allowance. He makes excuses for his mother and her dislike of Viveka. He laughs it off . Luckily Viveka is strong and can deal with her mother in law's dislike of her.

Well there's a vast difference between giving them the choice regarding WHEN to have kids and insinuating that you should NOT have kids at all, because I don't think you're worthy enough!! The next statement just exacerbates that 💔

“I agree, she let herself develop these ideas about what is appropriate and who is… along the years it just became worse”

Raanav deserved that hit for still trying to defend his mom, but then I'd expect that from him.. since he does believe his wife to be only an exception to the norm! 😳

But then, he's right on one count. Satyen is just as accountable for Smrita's attitude as Raanav! If Raanav was the aag mein ghee to his mum, Satyen ignored the mile-wide conceited streak all along until it hit too close to home! So, I think it's just wrong to lay all blame at the kid's door!

No matter how old we are, silly snubs like these by parents, ESPECIALLY when the sibling is being favored, ALWAYS gets our goat! 😆

The couple's convo was super cute! ❤️ Particularly, the wife's concern for him 😳

“I will take care of your wife” she smiled sweetly

“That’s what I was afraid of” he thought spontaneously wondering why he even thought that

This left me gasping with laughter!

Why are both the men so anxious? Horrible as it is, ab jo kehna tha so toh Smrita ne kal raat keh dia! They can deal with it after Nasik or whatever

They're behaving as if they're all going away leaving the lamb to the wolves! 😆

Satyen has rightfully pointed out the symbiotic relationship between the mother and son. But the tide is shifting now.

Raanav for the first time in his life is learning what damage can be caused by their attitude to people at the receiving end.

It was very candid discussion with satyen and Ranav and something he really needed to hear. It may take him sometime to fully realize as Smrita continues create rift in their relationship. But Ranav is seeing through this and will be interesting what he will do about it.

Glad you are ok and work stress and india stress together is getting too much some days to handle.

Viveka didn’t let her parents know of her health scare when she visited when Raanav was in Nasik

She did sit down with Naina to talk the following evening

“You think you and I should go away on a trip?”

“I have to first find myself a job”

“I do too, I am going…” Viveka smiled

“So says Mrs Viveka Parashar”

“Cmon now I doubt parents will kick you out for non payment of rent”

“How are you able to be so casual about your wealth Veev?”

“Because I don’t think it belongs to me Nain”

“How not?”

“I live there, I have my things there, I have a book case and a nice desk over there but that’s about it”

“You do know your husband will be inheriting the stuff”

“I don’t want either of my in laws to be gone from this world… not because I am very noble but because I cannot imagine him thinking about Ma Papa like that”

“What could he gets from Ma Papa? This house?”

“I guess not… I guess u are right but for whatever reason”

“He knows I want nothing to do with power Engineers, and with the house or with their factories, I am not saying this to regain your trust, or to appear like I am making a statement I don’t think about their money”

“If you don’t want their money, that lifestyle and such why would you even marry Raanav Veev? I know you said you married for Uncle’s sake”

Viveka nodded tearfully

“he is not doing good, they found something with his heart, blockage I think

“Hmm”

“Being middle class marrying a man to make his Dad happy seems very theatrical”

Naina didn’t respond

They both sat on their parents swing and sated down

“You never told me you broke up with Inder”

“I didn’t want to I knew all of you guys wanted me to so I wanted to hide it”

Viveka turned quickly to look at her

“The amount of hate from his family…. And ours was exhausting Veev”

“Ma”

“Please Ma Papa ko defend mat kar”

“No Ma was angry you brought him home and was making out with him” Viveka was irritated

“I am 30 damnit”

“You called me to Jaipur to bring you home behind Ma Papa’s back”

Naina shifted uneasily

“Ghar par koi tumhe hate nahi kart ana hi hurt karna chahta hai”

“Don’t talk like you are Ma”

“MAIN lene aayi tumhe Jaipur se, mujhe kehne ka haq nahi hai?”

“So going back to my point…. Abhi sab kuch khatam ho chuka hai so be happy”

“Don’t take potshots Naina”

Ehsaan kiya tumne Veev now you will never let me forget it”

Naina got up frustrated

Viveka stared at her back

Naina sat back down and turned to face her

“You think you marrying Raanav under corecin will not disappoint our parents?”

“It will… (Viveka swallowed fearfully) and I am hoping you will not disclose it”

“That’s the difference between you and I”

“tumhe lagta hai MAINE ma ko kaha tum Inder ko date kar rahi ho?”

“No tumhe kehne ki zaroorat hi nahi hai Veev, my life is out in the open unlike yours, the darkest aspect of your marriage is hidden from them, while the nicest part of my life was torn to bits”

“Meri galti nahi hai”

“that’s exactly what I am saying mujhe tumhari tarah freedom nahi mili, mujhe har baat par is ghar mein judge kiya jaata hai”

“You are being oh so dramatic right now” Viveka got up, as Naina picked up their empty chai cups

Naina’s phone buzzed she looked at her text and looked back at Viveka with a guilty flush on her face

Viveka didn’t think much of it

Until later at night when she hunted for her phone all over the house, the twins had grabbed it to send all the pictures over from the sleepover

Her MIL had called twice

She returned the call immediately

“Did you hear?” she began with no pleasantaries

“What happened? Is Dad OK?”

“He is fine” Smrita was very cold

“Oh good… is Raana”

“Oh its not about them…. Did Naina tell you?”

“Kya hua?” Viveka’s stomach muscles tightened

“Inder and her when they went to Dubai, a friend of his read them vows… now Inder is throwing a fit saying she is married to him, bataya nahi?”

“I can call you back”

Viveka sat on the bed and began to cry visualizing the amount of mortification and and disgrace this was going to bring the Mathurs

Akash peeked

“Husband ko bhoolkar humse baat kiya jaaye beta” he laughed yawning

“Kya hua?” he went to bed and kneeled down

They got married 😱 cliff hanger Nisha!!!

Why would Inder be claiming this unless Naina broke up with him this time and not the other way around😑

the S—t has hit the fan😣

This was such an unexpected twist Nisha.

Seriously, I cannot believe Anu and Akash have a daughter like Naina.

How are all these people tolerating her, her actions?

And why is this Viveka always thinking of only setting things right with her sister, when that sister of hers has no care or concern about Viv.

How much will Naina lie and what is all this rubbish drama of hers?

Now Smrita will taunt Viv and her parents at every given opportunity.

Viveka should tell her parents what Smrita said now. Let them handle this situation.

Just want Raanav back now immediately and stop his mother from insulting Viveka and her parents.

And worst scenario would be if Naina tells her parents why Viveka married Raanav when they question her about this drama with Inder.

Anu and Akash do not deserve this from their children.
