"I didn’t want you to know I am professionally unsuccessful” .... this says it all. If someone other than Vi had said this to Ra he would understand the unsaid. .. the shame of failure and her sorrow. But the guy cannot look beyond the fact that his Vi thinks so little of him that he is incapable of providing her emotional support.

Evening is young..wonder if his own work failure will also be revealed. Comfort and trust takes time..the two have been married for what less than a month. The progress is natural..loved it

Ps. The Vi and Veev ... I was smiling when he continued to call her Vi when talking to Anu about her Veev. Satyen called him what possessive right 😊😘

Veev is not insecure about anything. She is comfortable in her own skin, proud of her achievements & geekiness and content in the world she lives in. But Vi, in many ways, is a different person. She may not be insecure as such, but she has always wondered what her handsome successful husband saw in her. Her intelligence was the only thing that she took pride in. The Kharghar rejection has taken a toll on her confidence. She has started second guessing herself. The "what-if" moment where she was thinking about Naina (instead of her) ending up with Raanav was heartbreaking. If only she can look at herself through Raanav's eyes, she would never doubt herself again. But it explains why she did not want Raanav know about the rejection.

Raanav is hurt because Vi did not share with him a very important (non) development in her life. Understandably so. He may or may not have realized how much the rejection disappointed her, but she should have told him, at least when he kept asking her what was bothering her. What Raanav & Vi share is special. But in order to truly understand each other, they have to learn to read between the lines. Not that they don't, but I guess they need to try harder. Raanav misunderstood her reason for not sharing her rejection with him. When talking to Anu, he himself realized how little they know about each other. That is very much the case here. Viveka wasn't completely wrong when she said he didn't have any idea of how bad she wanted it.

This was getting sticky, she had hidden the event on purpose, thinking he would NOT be there for her, - PREJUDICE

Loved how Raanav and Anu talked. Raanav was quite comfortable at the Mathur residence.

Now waiting to see what happens next Nisha. Will this warring continue or will they talk and smooth things out?

The pre conceived notions these two have :(

Viveka, although we knew is a confident person. But she wanted to be more successful in the eyes of Raanav. As it is she is having doubts as to why Raanav chose her.

Raanav thought Viv didn't tell him bcoz she thought he would understand. May be both are right in the current situation as both don't understand each other so well. It will take time to understand the unsaid..

Loved to see Raanav interacting with Anu :)

He is disappointed that she did not share. But then he did not share his problems with her either. Instead of getting angry, its time for that emotional support so she can share next time.

Furtively wiping tears, but the sniffle gave her away, he turned quickly to catch that

She composed herself and pretended to be OK.

Both are hurting at this moment. Albeit for different reasons.

She coz for failure to get into university of her choice and him coz she doesn’t think he is worthy enough according to her to share what really matters to her.
I feel for Ranaav. He always has known Viveka is not into him like he is into her. He loves her not only for her attractiveness or beauty but for who she is. Viveka on hand has told him that he is handsome etc but yet to confess her feelings. So he presume for her it’s not love.
it will make him insecure that she doesn’t consider him to be worthy enough to share, to cry in front of him 😢.

But even Parashar kid has long way to go.
hopefully they can settle few things before going to bed tonight.

Ek question hai....logical hai mere khayal mein..koi answer kar do.....Raanav loves Viveka right? He proposed to her by confessing his love right? Why then does Viveka always feel he doesn't care for her? There has always been love from his side. She likes him too but is unbelieving of the fact that he love sher. I don't know why she is negative about the emotion on his side when he confessed it to her🙄

Wins & Losses

They played cards until midnight. Lekha’s parents also visited. Satyen told her, he invited her parents but both declined

Smrita did not chime in to say “Oh yes it would have been so much fun to have them all be here”

Raanav lost the first few in a row, and then won every game. She did “OK”. Not much of a card player she didn’t have any advantage Rakshit anD lekha announced their plan to travel Europe for a month… almost

Viveka realized the passdown at work and filling in for Rakshit may all have been sorted out and approved already by the team Rakshit works in

“I hate winters in Delhi, I cant wait to get away, and my skis dirty” lekha promised

“satya was in the hospital otherwise even I would have tried to get away” smriti competed with her own DIL

“We have never insisted Lekha stay home for anything, she has missed Diwalis and such” “Rumi” Tandon hugged her daughter fondly

Raanav and viveka were not talking with each other

Raanav… well Raanav was beyond angry

“How was your unduly short honeymoon beta?” satyen included Viveka in the conversation

“It was great… I thought I had forgotten how to swim, thankfully I did not drown when we went scuba diving”

“Their coral reefs are world famous, its nice you got to see them once” Rumi exclaimed dismissively as if Viveka will never get to do it ever again

“Yeah, I hope so too, I don’t want Harshu to get remarried…period. and I don’t want him remarrying at the exact same island” “Once is good”

Satyen, Rakshit and Rumi’s husband all burst out laughing

Rumi and lekha plainly did not get the joke

Smrita was furious her nerdy DIL would have such a clever come back!

Raanav’s lips twitched when Viveka looked at him, but he did not give her the pleasure of enjoying her joke

“Did you take her to ----” Smrita asked her son proprietorially

“Umm.. no it is Shobit’s family’s island” he explained to his mother casually

He had enjoyed every minute of that short trip. She was funny, enticing and exhilarating. If Dad was not in the hospital he could have stayed on for a month to completely wear her down

They had averaged 4 times a day, one day it was almost 6

“Raanav your play beta” Satyen nudged him

“Ooops”

OK I AM going to ask the question, I know everyone is thinking” Mr Tandon announced raising his hand

“Kya?” Rumi pulled his hand down to shut him up

“Which one of you is going to give us a grand baby first”

“First off Lekha’s baby will be our grandkid, (tinkling stupid laugh) I doubt Lekha wants to have a baby any time soon” As always Rumi spoke for her daughter

“Mom’s right Dad….I need another couple years to establish my business”

“I agree they are SO young” smriti nodded

“To theek hai beta… I am looking at you” Satyen pointed to Viveka

“Umm.. I am going to say I want to umm.. study… research” Viveka smiled gently she carefully avoided using the word PhD so as to not hurt herself more

Plus it was a sensitive subject because they had just bitten each others’ head off back in the room over her inadmissibility

Raanav looked at her grimly

Smrita looked at her like “You better get another Ph D after the first one because I don’t want a Mathur baby in this house”

“I am hoping 2021 I have a grand baby in my arms… whoever is first gets a reward” satyen cracked himself up

“She can have it” Lekha smiled condescendingly

“You are so generous and sportsmanlike” Viveka laughed gently

Lekha still did not get the mockery

“I am going t o ask my sons, my DILs are very crafty” Satyen would not let the topic go

“I am OK with whatever Lekha wants” rakshit smiled amiably

He wasn’t about to make her mad and walk off in a teenager like tantrum

“And YOU?” Satyen patted Raanav’s shoulder fondly

“Depends on what the reward is and if * I * get one too”

The man was competitive like heck Viveka realized

“You make the arrangements I will think of something” Satyen laughed again

“HEY Dad that’s not fair you said ONLY THEY” (pointing to Lekha and Viveka) would get the reward, now you are changing the rules

“Well you backed out, so I am using up the extra reward funds to incent BOTH husband and wife” Satyen teased

“OK I am back” Rakshit

He whispered in lekha’s ear

“You are out… stay out”

“This is SO silly Satya, it’s the 21st century” Smrita rolled her eyes

She was afraid her highly driven son Raanav would take the challenge to the finish line

She was in a catch-22, she wanted lekha to have a baby, so the Tandon wealth could be merged with Parashar, she did NOT want Viveka to have one, but the son who was married to Viveka was ambitious and driven. Viveka will get tempted if Satya were to offer a flat In London or Switzerland!! Godd!! Satya needs to stop this right now”

“You can have the prize and the baby” Viveka shrugged smiling at a conspiring Rakshit and lekha “If you don’t want to have a baby, Dad should give you the prize”

Monetary rewards did not motivate her

She did things for the innate rewards

“They can have the prize, but I still choose the baby” the Parashar kid looked straight at his wife and committed, there was going to be no challenge he was going to give up so easy
