At times I feel terribly sorry for Naina.. at others, I find her terrible!

It looks like she's finally waking up to sense wrt Inder.. like her infatuation is wearing off to see the situation for what it is!

But didn't Anu tell Viveka that she was ready to meet Inder? There's no telling what she'd do next! 😲

I see her struggle with this situation and feel sad, yeah but she's soooo amazingly self centered.. drains out any of it pretty quick!

She accuses her father of expecting her to be a gharelu gai and then there's Veev who wants to cut short her vacation abroad to help her parents out! 👏

Nature over nurture and all that??

Even if her parents favour Veev over her, Veev returns it in equal measure. She pulls more than her share of weight in that family!

Naina does too... just in the opposite direction!

Anyway, even without intending to, looks like Satyen achieved what none of the Mathurs, Parashars or Dhamijas could do.. get Naina to see Inder to sort this out! 😊

I was struggling with the words. You nailed it in one sentence about Naina.

Many characters in the story that have behaved differently in different situations Including Ranaav (how his class indifference doesn’t popup when it comes to Viveka but pronounced towards others), Veev (her goal of being an academician vs fitting in with lekha or atleast for sake of Ranaav even with her nonchalant middle class economist views ), Mathurs (different treatment for different girls be it social or with their relationships) , even Satyen (how he let Ranaav become who he is today and suddenly not talking to him ). All characters so human and flawed.

Of the lot, Naina has been consistently thinking only about her 😂

The way Akash has been seen dealing with Naina leaves me Meh!!!! If he did not straighten his daughter up when he needed to watching her going out of the line , what's the fr***** point of ordering her around now.. that too , when finally she was conveying her disinterest to someone most influential from the opposite family who has a voice and can get her message across?

Does Akash really think, sit and have your Gulab jamun, Naina ! is seriously going to cut it?!!!! Is he trying to prove that he can be the disciplinarian when he needs to be!!! BS!!!! He needs to wake up.... that ship has sailed ! In fact , set sail to Dubai, got dummy married and come bk!!!

Satyen was the one who got her to come home from Dubai. Akash watched helplessly then . He watches helplessly now. Naina's POV, she sees satyen home, she is getting her point across to satyen, the man who got himself involved in their situation then. She's been stupid, impulsive but she's but never been a frog in the well . She's looking out for herself , her ways are much left to be desired ofcourse , but if she's going to come out shooting , it better be Satyen or Inder!!! Inder doesn't get it ... so her best chance is Satyen! She doesn't seek him out, but when she sees him home, she thinks on her feet and decides not to waste the opportunity, not to let it go even if it displeases her dad or the guest. She's calling out Raanav in front of his Dad, but why should she cut him any slack , just because Satyen is his dad or Viveka , her sister ??? It's never been about Decorum for Naina, never will!!!

One another thing BTW , her finger pointing is not going to move a needle, Raanav is not Inder, he's not going to let go of his marriage because Naina complained ! He is an adult who can take whatever Naina is dishing out now!!!

Long story shot, Naina is super canny and IMO , is shrewdly using the man who got Inder to back off in Dubai then to back off now while he's in India croaking . Oh I'm liking the girl even more now. Preeti, looks like I'm the biggest 'advocate' (pun intended )for Naina, girl!!!😆🤗

you would make a good advocate indeed 🤗.

Had constant smile while reading the earlier post of yours. Would never have cut so much slack for Naina myself but reading your post does give a different perspective. Not that I like Naina one bit even now.
Great read you POV as always.

“So Satyen ji had come for that only?” Naina was gleeful

“NO He did not I am just going to text Smrita jee” Akash shot back gleefully

“Please chup ho jao aap dono” Anu whispered

“If I meet with inder and tell him to get lost, aap dono khush ho jaaogey?” Naina was scowling

Akash got up to shut the balcony door

“Well… you’ve got to do MORE than that sweetie” Anu was not happy “You have to figure out what about your marriage was legal and annul it and sign paperwork hire a lawyer and figure all that out. Let his parents know you want nothing from this.”

“I will let Smritaji know we are not predators, scamming wealthy guys” Akash whispered

“And maybe…. MAYBE….. apologize to Papa and I?” Anu said quietly

Naina looked up at her startled

“You think you don’t owe us any apology for the humiliation of it all?”

“Humiliation MUJHE hui Ma” Naina argued

“Well Raanav ne Veev ko bhi kuch kam nahi bola, he judged her he mocked her he ridiculed her”

Anu and Akash shifted uneasily

“We really don’t have an answer, she loves him, how ever demeaning you think it looks in your eyes Naina, I doubt Veev would sacrifice her dignity in order for a good life” Anu spoke with conviction

“By repeatedly going back to my relationship fiasco with Inder I am probably allowing you to think I still want it… I DON’T but I will say this… agar main aur Inder kisi mandir mein shaadi karte you guys would not have accepted it”

Naina turned and began walking out

“I will let Inder know I can meet him and end it”

Naina is amongst those people who are not unhappy coz of their own situation as much as they are unhappy about the fact that others are Happy. Even if its her own sister. Her chat Ranaav would have made it clear to her that Ranaav does really respect his relationship with Viveka and Naina still wants to only talk ill about him.

You don't like many people in your life. Its not necessary to put them down on every occasion. You can simply stay away from such people and avoid all the unpleasantness. Knowing well that someone is now your sisters husband.

I am sincerely trying to understand naina in every episodes..... To find why she is behaving roughly to her family..... But everytime i end up hating her more!

Wah naina! Your whole family got the image of gold diggers just bcoz of ur jaipur trip and all!

And why she is bringing abhisheks topic all the time! The way she presented her relation with inder to her parents and the way viveka introduced abhishek to the mathurs were entirely different!

She is covering up her mistakes by pretending to be a scapegoat of "the system"😡😡😡

All through the chapter I was thinking now Naina will give away Viveka's secret, now she will, not bad, she did not. 😆

But then she might do it anytime.

If Abhishek ever needs someone to defend him or vouch for him, he should employ Naina as his PR person.

Does Viv know how much Naina envies her?

Nisha, I would really love to read a conversation between Naina and Inder. How do these two talk? Do their talks have any sense at all?

Anu read Naina right. She is enjoying the chase. She does want Inder to run around after her and grovel at her feet.

Naina looked up at her startled

Absurdly enough, this part had me laughing!

Her surprise at being expected to apologize or her indignation of being held guilty for any misbehavior is just epic. I can't recall knowing anyone more self centered or self assured than her.. real or fictional.

I find Naina letting loose on Satyen very similar to how Nupur and Smrita went off on Anu and Veev at Lohri.

She knew her father was meeting Satyen to settle this matter. If she wanted his help, she could very well have taken responsibility.. but she refused to cooperate then.

Now, sure she'd love to believe he's come scrambling to convince her!
