I didn't feel Naina was not treated fairly by the family. Lying to her parents and running off with Inder behind their back was not very mature. When her relationship was no more, she wanted Viveka to end hers. Her sister reached out to her, and what does she do? Everyone needs to cater to her but she doesn't owe anyone anything? CL , as a parent when, you have Akash's sister and her husband Kamal ji asking Akash and Anubha if they should enquire with inder's parents when Naina was all over the place, it would merit some consideration? When Naina said, dad talk to them, it merits some consideration? When Inder said uncle can we please talk if not now , sometime later it merits some consideration? The way they did it to their parents is hugely embarrassing, but what do you do about that embarrassment ?

You can't just say oh! She's locked up in her room, she'll get over it!! If talking to a 27 year old Naina was not working , it was time to see what can be done for Naina? But Anubha was unapproachable !

Her relationship with her sister has taken a beating and that's hugely naina's doing. But as parents, their approach with Naina Inder is not above reproach !!

Viveka was pointing it out all the time to Naina and also to Raanav. It is not just about getting intimate with inder in front of akash, but her whole approach to her own parents before and after breakup was not acceptable. Parents are also human. They do also reciprocate what they get from their kids. And i think for akash and anu, they value degree more than money. Raanav for them is an equivalent match for viveka. And for them inder is not a good match for their daughter. In future, he needs to prove it....

Nouf my girl Akar has a PhD , Viveka had the hots for him initially, did she tell parents that she misjudged him and that he turned out to be a dangerous guy preying on girls? She was too embarrassed to share that with her parents !!! Wonder what they would then think of degree and Viveka's judgement!!

She had a huge lucky escape with Abhishek karamkar, if the opposite had happened , she would have come across as stupid as Naina.

That guy too had the full blind support of Akash and Anubha, because he had a PhD and was middle class?

It's a life time of protecting her parents respect for Viveka. Imagine a life where lekha tandon's parents will be compared to the mathurs. Can be draining for everyone concerned

I would actually say abishek had the family’s support because Viveka took pains to introduce him to her family initially. She didn’t want to recreate Naina’s situation. They kept asking to see him afterwards but of course that didn’t happen due to his proclivities. I do think his lack of visiting and participating caused some concern to Akash. Also because Viveka did not seem sure of her choice.

Naina had a full relationship w Inder but didn’t really bother to introduce him formally to her parents and Inder certainly didn’t take the initiative to go meet them and speak his mind like Raanav did. I do think the Mathurs should have insisted on meeting Inder after the relationship had lasted some time because that would show it was a serious relationship and not one because of physical attraction alone, but that is over and done now.

I get Akash and Anubha. As parents you think you know the best about your children. Viveka has shown more matured approach and generally given more reasons to have her parents confidence, trust and sympathy but if you are a parent to two girls 27 and 28, the difference in treatment , right or wrong is more glaring and gets tabled for scrutiny and criticism.

Yes! Kala this is the benefit of doubt I was referring to ! Abhishek fizzled out like Inder. The girls made mistakes but Raanav's approach saved the day !!

I do wonder though if her parents had not considered Raanav's proposal because of the huge rich / middle class thingy, where would veev and Raanav's relationship be today? Would she have still gone ahead because she loves him? Or would she have thought Nope! I won't compromise on either mine or my parents respect !!!

Let’s wait and watch how story turn out .. there should be more to Inder and Raanav. Till now they have been describe as Rich handsome heartthrobs. They have learnt from what they have seen so far. So curious how circumstances will change and everyone in this story will learn more of life ..

I honestly feel that there is probably more to Naina’s story since we know she interacted w Smrita who was at her bitchy best and thrilled that Inder and Naina broke up.

I do think post this lunch spectacle between Mumma and shooonu baby, Anu and Akash will be actively encouraging Viveka to delay the marriage. Hell, I would if I were in their position.
