"kill all the hostages"

"yes boss!!" responded a terrorist over his wireless.

"we are ordered to kill these people" said the man to the others..

"very well"

Huda cautiously advanced towards the barrels…gesturing the other officers from time to time… "Make sure..That you are not spotted"
No matter how brave he looked…he was getting nervous each time the minute hand in his wristwatch ticked ahead.

Rajveer and the others reached the campsite… they saw some officers guarding the entrance…on enquiry they informed him about huda's plan. Rajveer wasn't happy. This was too dangerous. After a quick discussion it was decided that Alekh will follow huda… and ali will follow rajveer on the scheduled time…major jain was supposed to stay back with them till the appropriate time is reached. Rajveer decided to go first. He went in the opposite direction of which huda went. With a little thought in the back of his mind… "is she really here?"

Naina kept looking around her…while sitting beside ritu. The terrorists were not even moving an inch from their places. Ritu was feeling helpless. "how will we get out of here?" just then she heard a faint sound coming from her right. She turned her head…and tried to spot the source…it was dark…but she could still see some figures moving very slowly towards the barrels kept quite far away from her. "am I the only one who heard this?" she turned to look at the terrorists and to her horror one of them was looking towards the direction she was looking into. She coughed loudly and kept on coughing till her throat hurt. Naina was surprised and kept patting her back lightly...that was when both the terrorists looked at her and told her to stop …ritu asked for water and told them that she can't, till she gets to drink ….as something was really troubling her throat. One of them gave her water…and didn't bother to look at that direction again. Ritu smiled and sat back. "I hope you will…save us…whoever you are"

Yudi was standing behind another tree, alert, with his gun. He sensed another one of them coming towards him…there was a sound which made him turn to his left…he tried to make out what was it…and when he couldn't , advanced further to check it. "it came from here…but there is no one here." Just then he felt someone rest a gun at the back of his head. "do not move"
Yudi froze.
"do you think it is very easy to trick us?? fool."

rajveer was observing the terrorists from behind the rocks. There were two of them guarding the group and another three standing few metres away from him. He made out that it was impossible to penetrate the terrorist ring without a plan. He decided to stay away from them for sometime and think over something foolproof.
With this on his mind, rajveer slowly went towards the horde of trees…which could give him a place to hide, for a while. The moment he reached deeper into the clump …he saw a man dressed in black…resting his gun's pointer on someone's head…rajveer recognized the man in black as one of the terrorists but couldn't make out who was the other one. Without giving it a second thought…he took out his knife, tucked in his boots…and aimed for the terrorist.

"what am I going to do?? Yudi…tu toh gaya…I guess the time has come…angels, come feast on me!! " thought yudi , out of fear.
the sound of the trigger being pulled…made yudi numb… "Yudi don't be afraid…don't be afraid..it won't hurt…"
* thump *
"I am dead!!…yudi is dead!"

nothing happened.

for few minutes yudi stood still. He opened one eye and then the other…and looked around him,surprised… "I am still here?"
He looked back nervously and saw the man lying dead in front of him.
And a voice made him come back to his senses…
"its been a long time cadet Sahani"

Huda, along with his officers reached the place where the barrels where situated.
"Now we won't make any move…we were nearly caught sometime back. I sensed that one of them looked at our direction…right now it's the best if we stay here for a while."
He glanced at the formation of the terrorists. "Two behind and three forward"
"huda, I think we should fire now"
"no!….i am just waiting for something"

"sir?!!"
"are you hurt?"
"no sir! Thank you"
rajveer's smile waved that 'thank you away' . "you have grown quite a bit cadet"
"I am not a cadet anymore sir…"
"oh!! Yeah….you must be Lt. Yaduvan Sahani right now?"
yudi nodded with pride.
"how did you get here sir?"
"like you did lieutenant…but there is no time to talk about introductions and queries now…Lt Sahani do you know how to howl like a wolf?"
Yudi made a face. "what? Sir?"
"howl?…can you howl like a wolf?"
yudi was speechless…
"yes or no…answer!!"
"yes!…er…yes sir!" responded yudi almost instantly…unable to take rajveer's sudden order.
"then howl!…and mind it….don't make it look like it's yudavan Sahani howling….it should sound like a real wolf"
yudi looked at rajveer's serious but encouraging face…and made a tunnel out of his palm by joining them…put over his mouth and howled…..

The howling of the wolf filled the air of the campsite.
"Shhh!!…I can hear it…. rajveer sir is here…. now we will wait for the second signal and then we will fire...get ready" said Huda to all his fellow officers.

"now move and sit together!!"

everyone did as they ordered. the terrorists poitned their guns at them.

Naina and ritu kept looking ahead…everyone in the group held their hands together…with hope in their eyes…with a desire to see their future.
Naina closed her eyes....
"i wish you were here......with me...before i die...i want to see you once...."

"at the second signal…alekh you will go on your way and ali you will go on yours…rest of us will handle it from here….fire if necessary" ordered major jain.
"yes sir!"

"Lt sahani….i want you to signal again…and at the second signal …we will attack them"
"are you sure we can handle it on our own?"
"do you have any doubt Cadet?"
"cadet again? Oh no…no sir!!"
"good, lieutenant…so then I will count ten"
