He is questioning his father like 'Its ok that u earned ur money! But its my duty to save them!'

So its almost clear that he is thinking that everyone is at error except he and his mom!

He is prejudiced🤣🤣🤣

So happy to read this new pride and prejudice.

I am a great fan of Elizabeth.... A character like her in such a time was so worth to read....

What i love about this story is the change u made in anubha...... I used to get irritated with mrs Bennets character.... I know that it was an old world time.... But still her character was too much for me sometimes.... But anubha totally stole my heart.... ☺️☺️☺️

This wikham will be a different wikham and Darcy will also b different😂😂😂

This Darcy should work hard to earn some respect among ur readers nisha😁😁

Hi V☺️☺️☺️☺️ So glad to c u here😊😊

RAANAV PARASHAR

Everything about him.... as In the way he moves, the way he talks, the way he walks , even his name exudes something . That something is what we all think we don't have ,but unfailingly envy when we encounter someone having and exuding that. That something is Privilege. Privilege walks and talks ,it makes people sit up, take notice and mostly envy. The word has never earned this bad a reputation , negative at that, than now, with all that that's being floated as, white, color, racism and stuff.

But IMO, privilege is not all negative. Privilege also knows and reflects their worth and value. Raanav parashar knows his worth, he knows his value to his Dad, his Dad's company and its activities. He might come across as someone holding himself aloof, but It's majorly a confidence of a different kind. The privilege he has had growing up has also taught him to expect having high standards as something basic. He doesn't believe in begging anybody for anything, he doesn't understand why people take hand-outs on offer. He's not bogged down by the struggles probably someone like Abhishek karamkar has had growing up.

Raanav might not be mouthing it yet but he is not far away from acknowledging his respect for Viveka because she's someone who isn't begging anyone for anything. She's seriously putting up a fight for many things she has come to believe as basic 'privilege 'and Raanav In a way understands that kind of attitude .

Privilege per se isn't and shouldn't be a bad thing to have. But the same privilege when it entitles you to put down others, that's when it becomes an issue.

Satyen parashar is a wiseman who knows how to take people along with him. One can never and should not begrudge the aura and legacy satyen has built for himself. I hope and believe Raanav parashar is a smart man who knows how to let a wiseman truly become his mentor .

Probably Jane Austin 's book should have been three p's instead of two p's . Pride, Privilege and Prejudice .

You think him questioning his Dad is out of turn?

What about him advising Viveka that Naina and Inder dont belong together???

thats far more outrageous IMO. He is surely an opinionated a--

Isn't that the same thing that Mathurs think as well? That Inder and Naina don't belong together. It's more lust than love?

I mean we don't even know how Dhamija's are right at least until Nisha brings them in for real. For all we know they could be of the mould of Satyen's and not smrita's.

I'm basing this off inder's narrative to Raanav when he said his parents are aware of his friendship with Naina. Did he not kind of suggest to Raanav that his parents did not have a specific objection to it?

It's Anubha's pride as well that she and her husband don't come across as gold digger parents. When inder is caught in an awkward and compromising position with Naina, he stood his ground and politely said sorry and asked Mr. Mathur that if they could talk about it some other time if not now, right? Wasn't Mathur's response flat out a ' I don't think so!?

Sure Raanav looks far down his nose but I'm wondering if it's not the Mathur's prejudice and skepticism as well that they are fearing being branded gold diggers based off on Mrs. Parashar's loftiness? Is it not that Mathurs are opinionated as well like Raanav's that naina's pairing with inder is a mismatch?

Well it could be a mismatch but basing that off Mrs. Parashar is also one form of pride and prejudice .

Eh yea for me it is more glaring and disrespectful..

In real life I have seen quite a few asses who are born let's say golden spoon and do talk crass sometimes but this type of attitude about money to a parent nah

Viv can just brush off what he said as what he said does not matter and be indifferent and be sarcastic to him or just ignore him unless she is pushed

I have learnt over the years it's easier to be indifferent to asses unless they cross a line

This again is my personal opinion formed due to my experience

Politicking & Prithviraj Rd

“Main gaadi mein rukti hoon, aa pandar chale jao” Anubhagraoned

“Jeejee, please do minutes ke liye chalo” Savita begged

“Nahi bilqul nahi, main jaanti nahi inko”

“teen baar to miley ho” Savita looked confused

“Umm.. but I don’t really know them it will be reallyawkward”

“Jeejee MAIN HOON NA” Anubha laughed at how theatrical itsounded

“Shahrukh mera favorite hai Jeejee aapko hasa diya maine abto chalo”

Anubha had gone to the jewelry store to pick up earringsfor the twins for their birthday

Kamal had insisted multiple times to Akash

He had promised he had the cutest sapphire earrings thegirls could wear to college

Fashionable trendy, best thing Kamal said

Akash didn’t really like to buy from his own BIL, herealized he was gettinga fantastic deal every time, that bothered Anu also

It felt very inappropriate

Viveka had categorically told them she didn’t want any goldjewelry she liked artisan silver stuff, and getting high end gold from theShrivastavs was not something that lined up with her principles

“Aapko chalna padega bas” Savita drove towards the Parasharhome

Anu had taken the Metro to work this morning and Savita hadpromised to be at the showroom to “show more varieties” that were not quite ondisplay yet

The earrings were genuinely gorgeous, Anu paid right there,Kamal pushed a bunch of gorgeous nose pins and large earrings in platinum thatgave the “silver look” for Viveka

But Anubha absolutely refused to touch them

Kamal as always refused to take the payment and afterthreatening to call Akash he obliged

Anu hated all this

But they were in a bind, they couldn’t in their right mindgo elsewhere either since Shrivastavs were family, and if her MIL found out allhell would break lose and it would all be “Anubha ke mann mein koi baat hogi”

“I hate you so much right now” she texted Akash

“Thodi hate, kal ke liye bacha lo kuch aur zaroora karoongamain” he wrote back

She laughed out loud

“Kis se ho rahin hain baatein?” Savita was inquisitive

“Aakash se”

“Chalo achha hai bhayya aapko hasa rahe hain”

“Please mujhe ghar jaane do, earring weekend mein le loongi”

“Bilqul nahi”

Savita parked, and Anubha pretended to take a work call(texting her admin to call her)

Hung up in 5 after when Savita had gone in, only for someoneto return in 25 minutes ordering her to go in

Anubha was really furious

But it was Satyen

“Arey bhabhiji, this is terrible, aur gate ke bahar khadihai gaadi?”

“You live across the street from a Cabinet Minister I wasquite entertained” she smiled

The low brick walls, which were signature central Delhi, offered a great view into the mansions, the large manicured lawns withsprinkler systems and tall great danes running to catch the ball

Tons of roses and other flowers, 100s of trees on everyproperty, central Delhi was everything Zuckerberg would aspire to have

“I am fine, work call tha, aap kaise hain”

“Andar nahi chalengi aap to bata nahi paaoonga” Satyengrinned

Dressed simply in jeans and shirt with an expensivekolhapuri adorning his feet

“I am fine, “ “Can u please send Savita?”

“Nahi ji who to kamre mein band hain” he laughed

Anubha slowly pulled out her purse and shut the door

They walked together talking about the trees in his yard

He asked about her work, and spoke very intelligently aboutengineering making her wonder

She cringed physically when she realized Smrita must be inside

She texted Akash nervously

“Smrita hai nahi, you are stuck with me”

“Oh” she relaxed and smiled

The spread was stunning, the house looked like it featuredon Architectural Digest

There was a fountain in the center courtyard!!!

Savita wanted to wait for Smrita to return to pick up somepieces she had given her 3 weeks ago

Smrita had kept all but “four” Savita told her

Anubha wondered how many crores “all but 4” were

“Kisi keg har bhejna hai raat ko”

“Main yaha se Janpathstation ke liye auto kar loongi”

“Absolutely not” Satyen warned

He took a work call when he returned Anubha had to take one

She texted Viveka to see if she was in the vicinity, sheswore she would never take a ride ever again from Savita

Incidentally Viveka WAS at Mandi house for a Ruaab SEWA panelevent at FICCI

“You need a ride NOW?” Viveka was shocked

“Haan 4 baj gaye”

“Why are you not at work”

“Really? Veev? Aaa paaoogi?”

“Jee Ma” Viveka smiled

“Are u speaking?”

“No I am done, I wanted to listen to another person, I willwatch it online at night”

“THANKS BETA”

Viveka arrived around 5 PM…. She was confused where Anubhawas

“Are you at some politician’s house?” she texted

“I wish”

“The brass name plate says Parashars 6 Prithviraj Rd” “Areyou HERE?”

“Haan”

“K” she didn’t ask any more

Dressed in a gorgeous fuchsia pink plain saree and a parrotgreen blouse with tiny silver checks and silver border and almost backless, herpallu thrown in careless folds over her shoulder, she was wearing her nose pinand matching dangling earrings her large brown leather tote, brimming withpapers, kolhapuris on her feet

She looked very much like an activist that decided to takea break from dharna at the Labor Minister’s residence across the road

She walked through the gates after identifying herself tothe battery of guards.

Texting Abhishek… smiling

Almost rammed into Raanav Parashar, whose expressionalternated between astonishment and curiosity and general need to mess with her

She looked up distractedly

“is my mother here?” she asked him

“Activism at the wrong address perhaps?” he smiled tauntingly, his eyes told him to keep the conversation going so it could drink in her ravishing look

“I am done already, for the day I spoke at 2” she said witha contented expression

“Can u come out Ma?” she called her mother

“No, I told Mr Parashar he wants to meet you”

“WHYYY?” Viveka was her clueless self

“Come in and we can head out” “Argue mat karo”

“K”

“Do u need help finding her?”

“Do I need one of these?” she waved her phone mocking him about GPS

“OK then” he stepped back offering her a full view of his gorgeous navy cotton trousers and a multi color check cotton shirt rolled up ina bunch around the elbows, and some expensive sandals

She went in wandered and came out, he was on the phone

“Can u help me?” she asked

“Uh” he looked up from his phone

He stood where she had left him

“I am here for Anubha Mathur” she explained

A help wandered out

“Aap Bibeka ji hain?”

She abandoned Raanav and ran to the man

Raanav went back to what he was doing

He was Googling Viveka Mathur in hopes of finding WHERE shehad spoken today!

❤️❤️

So many lines in this update that were so fully loaded with situational humor such that I felt a smile was plastered on me through the entire time I read the update.

Smrita's absence made me breathe a sigh of relief too, Akash , savita's general ba ba ba, Anubha's agony getting stuck and her evasive ways groaning and swearing and then the part I absolutely loved, the tu tu mein mein between Veev and Raan. By the way how totally cool And awesome was Satyen. I'm beginning to admire him for his persistent, persuasive ways and the way he utilizes the situation and opportunity to press forward. He is light without carrying the burden of his wealthy self .

Imagine Verv dismissing Raanav waving her phone to him saying do I need this and her absolute embarrassment of having to come back , bite her tongue and ask him for the exact same help he had offered her a few mins bk..... Oh My word! Ha Ha Ha Ha🤣❤️

Vague & Vegas

I can understand Raanav questioning the expense of the tickets. But he needs to ask why his father did this. Satyen felt like he wanted to reward a faithful long term employee, it was within his call. Satyen does need to tell them his reasoning.

Viveka told her parents about the nerdy gareeb that is so much like her. They will definitely be good friends. Will it turn into something more?
