Sleep was far away from lakshman as he was restless hearing about Dashrath. His cellphone rang and it was a video call from Urmila. He moves towards the balcony of the room and receives the call.

LAKSHMAN- hello..

URMILA- happy birthday to you... Happy Birthday to you...

Lakshman smile looking at urmila singing.

URMILA- happy birthday, happy birthday... Happy Birthday to you...

LAKSHMAN- thank you so much..

Said Lakshman smiling. Urmila blows a kiss to him and he reciprocates the same.

URMILA- so..? What is the plan.?

LAKSHMAN- what would I plan here.? That too being alone.?

Urmila experienced his expressions to be tensed.

URMILA- what's there.? Why you are sounding worried.?

LAKSHMAN- kuch nahi... Bas aise hi..

Said lakshman denying to tell her about Dashrath's health. Suddenly Manvi and Shruti came there.

SHRUTI- oh hello..?? We all are waiting to wish you bhai ...

Said Shruti in a pout. While Lakshman giggles at her.

MANVI- wohi to.. you both can do your lovy-dovy talks later...

Saying Manvi took the phone from Urmila.

MANVI- happy returns of the day devar ji...

Said Manvi teasing while Lakshman smile at her.

LAKSHMAN- thank you so much bhabhi ji...

SHRUTI- happy birthday bhaiya.. wish you a lot of success so that you can buy an expensive gift for me on my birthday..

Lakshman laughs at this. While Urmila nods in disbelief.

MANVI- acha maa papa and tauji taiji will be wishing you tomorrow. So you can talk with your hone wali wife now..

Saying Manvi hands the phone to Urmila.

URMILA- did jiju wished you.?

RAM- ab jab tak meri pyari saliyaan mere bhai ko akela nahi chodengi.. tab tak how could I wish my brother.?

Said Ram interrupting their conversation. Urmila giggles listening to him.

URMILA- ok ok.. fine.. for now you can have time with your brother. I will not disturb you both...

Lakshman gave her a sad smile which was observed by Ram.

URMILA- ok jiju.. bye.. good night.. and you.. Mr laksh.. happy birthday again..

LAKSHMAN- thank you milla..

RAM- bye.. good night...

Urmila disconnect the call. Lakshman looks at Ram and was about to bend to take his blessings when Ram stops him by holding his shoulders.

RAM- your place is near my heart my brother...

Saying this Ram hugs lakshman.

RAM- wish you a many happy returns of the day...

LAKSHMAN- thank you bhaiya...

Said Ram making the grip tight. Ram looks confused at this.

RAM- lakshman..??

He released Lakshman from hug and makes to face him.

RAM- it's your birthday... Why are you so sad?

Asked Ram while Lakshman bows down.

LAKSHMAN- I am missing home bhaiya.. I am missing papa..

Said lakshman getting sad. Ram smile at him.

LAKSHMAN- when papa needs us, we are not there..

RAM- Don't worry lakshman.. papa ko kuch nahi hua he..

Lakshman nods at him.

RAM- don't be upset Lakshman. Everyone is there to take care of him. Don't spoil your mood on your special day.. ok.?

Lakshman smile at him nodding in yes.

RAM- acha tell me.. what gift my brother wants from me .?

Lakshman holds Ram's hands.

LAKSHMAN- already you have done so much for us bhaiya. We all three brothers looks at you as our idol. Just be with all of us like this. This is all we want..

Ram become emotional listening to his words. He hugs lakshman again caressing his back.

RAM- come on. Let us go to sleep now. Tomorrow we have meeting na.?

Lakshman nods in agreement and they went to sleep..

Dashrath moves downstairs at dinning area where everyone were present.

SHATRUGHAN- papa...

Shatrughan moves towards him and helps him to sit on the chair.

SHATRUGHAN- how are you feeling now..?

DASHRATH- I am good, son...

Said Dashrath smiling. Sumitra serves him the soup

SUMITRA- I was about to bring this in your room..

DASHRATH- yes but I thought I will feel better if I come here...

Sumitra nods in yes.

DASHRATH- kranti... Give me my blue folder.. I need it in office..

Kranti looks surprised.

KRANTI- you are going to office..?? Why??

She nods in disbelief. Dashrath was about to speak when Kranti interrupt.

KRANTI- please... You are going nowhere.. take rest for few days atleast...

DASHRATH- Ram is also not there. And there is important presentation. Who is going to handle that.?

Asked Dashrath while Kranti looks at bharat who was busy listening to his parents.

KRANTI- Bharat is there . He will handle everything ..

Mandira who has came there was listening to their talks.

DASHRATH- he will not be able to do it Kranti..

Kranti looks sad when Dashrath said this while Mandira looks angry.

BHARAT- yes maa.. I have not done this before.. always Ram bhaiya handles this..

KRANTI- there is first time for everything bharat.. if you will not start then how you are going to handle everything with your bhaiya..??

Said Kranti trying to explain her points. Siya also came there from kitchen carrying a bowl. She looks at Dashrath and Kranti.

SIYA- papa.. maa is right .. aur waise bhi.. Ram ne khud hi to bharat se kaha he.. to handle everything..

Said siya smiling. Kranti nods in yes looking at her. Dashrath thinks for a while and nods in agreement.

DASHRATH- ok.. bharat.. start working for Arora's project presentation..

Bharat looks sad. Shatrughan indicates him to nod and he follows his younger brother.

SUMITRA- are masi... why are you standing there.. Please come..

Sumitra's eyes falls on Mandira. She moves towards them and settled beside Bharat.

MANDIRA- I know you will handle your work very appropriately..

Bharat smile lightly and nods at her. Mandira looks at Kranti.

MANDIRA- by the way.. where is your favourite son .??

Everyone looks at her hearing her words.

SUMITRA- masi.. All children are favourite for a mother.

Mandira fakes a smile at this.

KRANTI- but Sumitra.. this time masi is right.. Ram is indeed my favourite son..

Said Kranti smiling while Mandira makes faces.

SHATRUGHAN- Ram bhaiya and Lakshman bhaiya has gone to Ahmedabad nani..

Answered Shatrughan while Mandira nods at him. Kranti looks at the bowl.

KRANTI- what is this siya?

Siya keeps the bowl on table and opens the lid.

SIYA- custard... Since it's lakshman's birthday today... I thought why not make his favorite dish..

Kranti smile nodding her head in agreement. Shatrughan moves towards her.

SHATRUGHAN- so let us call Lakshman bhaiya and tease him with this..

Shatrughan makes a video call to Lakshman.

LAKSHMAN- bhaiya.. ghar se call he..

Ram nods at him giving him permission to attend. Lakshman picks the call.

ALL- happy birthday lakshman...

Lakshman became happy looking at everyone. Ram smile too looking at everyone.

DASHRATH- may god bless you beta..

Asked lakshman getting concerned. Dashrath smile looking at them.

DASHRATH- when I have sons like you all, then what can happen to me..? I am good..

Ram smile hearing him.

RAM- and you have to be good.. abhi to Ghar me shadi he... Aapke beto ki shadi he.. you have to be healthy right.?

Dashrath smile and nods at him.

KRANTI- are you both taking care of yourself.?

Shatrughan takes the phone to him.

SHATRUGHAN- Laksh bhaiya... Bhabhi has prepared custard today.. but unfortunately.. we will be having this and not you..

Said Shatrughan teasing while Lakshman pouts. Siya pulls his ears..

SIYA- you don't worry lakshman. Once you get back I will prepare again..

LAKSHMAN- thank you bhabhi..

Lakshman blows a kiss to Siya and teases Shatrughan.

LAKSHMAN- ok so we will call later. We are going to site..

SIYA- ok.. take care...

They disconnect the call and Ram and Lakshman got busy in their work while others in the family started having their breakfast..

Said Urmila mixing the flours together.. Shruti looks at the iPad kept near Urmila.

SHRUTI- oooo.... To recipe padh padh ke cake banaya ja raha he....

Said Shruti teasing.. Urmila hits her hand which were touching the iPad.

URMILA- I'm preparing for laksh...

Said Urmila blushing while Shruti giggle at her..

SHRUTI- but dii... Bhai to yaha he nahi.. then what is the benefit of making cake,?

Asked shruti having a piece of chocolate kept on the plate in front.

URMILA- so what? I will call him and cut the cake on his behalf...

Urmila nods in disbelief hearing her words.

Said Urmila and disconnect the call before lakshman could say anything. He makes her a video call.

Urmila goes aside and brings the cake for which lakshman gets surprised..

Jokes lakshman while Urmila becomes angry.

URMILA- ha.. according to you I cannot cook at all..

Urmila looks aside crossing her arms while Lakshman giggles at her.

At morning, Siya knocks the door of Dashrath's room.

DASHRATH- come in beta..

Siya enters the room carrying a tray.

SIYA- good morning papa..

DASHRATH- good morning beta...

Siya sits infront of Dashrath on bed. She takes the blood pressure measurement instrument from side table and started checking Dashrath.

SIYA- it is stable now..

Said Siya smiling while Dashrath nods at her.

DASHRATH- thank you Siya..

She looks at him in confusion.

SIYA- for what papa?

Dashrath sits straight and continued..

DASHRATH- you take care of everyone in this house.. yesterday on lakshman's birthday you have prepared custard, though he was not here...

Siya smile at his words.

SIYA- they are not here physically does not mean that they are far from us..

Dashrath smile at her words. Siya holds Dashrath's hands..

SIYA- you have called me daughter.. won't you share your concerns with me.??

Dashrath looks at her in surprise. She smile at him lightly.

SIYA- I have seen worries on your face.. what happened papa..??

DASHRATH- ab to tumse kuch chupa bhi nahi sakta siya...

Said Dashrath looking down. Siya gave the bowl of soup to dashrath and waited for him to continue..

DASHRATH- what should I tell you siya..?? Hoti hai chinta.. I have four sons.. but the most I get worried is when Ram goes away from me...

Siya looks confused while Dashrath looks emotional.

DASHRATH- I don't know why.. may be because he is my first child.. may be because wo hi ek Kaushalya ki nishani hai mere pas... May be because... I am very much connected with him...

He gets little tears. Siya smile at him and removes the tears from his eyes..

SIYA- can physical distance tells that they are away from our heart too..??

Dashrath looks surprised at her words. She takes a spoon of soup and feeds him.

SIYA- I know all your sons are close to your heart. And Ram... You have a special place for him... But papa.. don't think negatively about this.. apke bete aapse bohot pyar karte he, to fir darr kis bat ka..??

Dashrath bows down searching for words. Siya again feeds him and he smiles at her.

SIYA- thinking that your sons will be away from you will make you more worried. So it will be better for you if you start thinking positively.. no one is going away from you papa...

Dashrath caresses her head smiling.

DASHRATH- I think you are right siya.. ye sab unwanted chize sochkar, mene sabko pareshan kar diya..

Siya nods her head in no. While Dashrath continued.

DASHRATH- sahi kaha tumne.. physical distance cannot define the distance between heart... I am relieved talking with you.. thank you..

SIYA- beti hu na me.? Does anyone says thank you to their daughter?

Dashrath laughs at her words. They both continued their talks about Dashrath telling her about Ram and other brothers...

He leaves from the cabin while Shatrughan gets worried for him.

Said sumitra showing him the card. Dashrath nods at her and gave a look at Bharat.

Dashrath shouted his name while Bharat gets up hurriedly. Everyone looks at him in surprise.

DASHRATH- what happened today..?? In office.?

Asked Dashrath looking angry while Bharat looks frightened.

DASHRATH- I am asking you something bharat..

Dashrath raised his voice. Shatrughan interrupt him.

SHATRUGHAN- papa... Bhaiya ki koi......

Dashrath stops him showing his hand. Kranti moves towards him.

Answered Dashrath on behalf of Bharat. Kranti looks at Bharat who was still looking down.

DASHRATH- cheques have been bounced. Tomorrow is bank holiday. Itni badi transaction problems... We are facing it for the first time..

Said Dashrath in a disbelief. Kranti moves towards him.

Bharat locks himself in his room. Shatrughan was knocking the door.

SHATRUGHAN- bhaiyya.... Bharat bhaiya...

Shatrughan was continuously calling him but he didn't opened the door. He again tried..

SHATRUGHAN- bhaiya open the door...

All his trials went unheard. Suddenly Shatrughan's phone rang. It was shruti's number.

SHATRUGHAN- Yes shruti??

MANVI- hii Shatrughan.. I'm there.. Manvi...

Shatrughan looks surprised hearing manvi's voice.

SHATRUGHAN- ha... Ha bhabhi..??

MANVI- what happened to bharat?

Shatrughan looks shocked by her sudden question. He looks at the closed door and thinks what to answer Manvi.

SHATRUGHAN- why... Why bhabhi..?? Why are you... Asking like this??

MANVI- wo... Actually... I have called Bharat but he was sounding upset. He disconnected the call and now is not picking up. That's why I have called you.. I know something has happened in the office.. is everything fine Shatrughan..??

Asked manvi getting concerned. Shatrughan thinks what to answer her when his eyes falls on siya who has came near him. He hands the phone to her.

SIYA- what happened? Who's there?

SHATRUGHAN- Manvi bhabhi... Please answer her...

SIYA- Manvi...

MANVI- thank god dii you are here. I am trying your phone.. why you are not picking up the call..??

Asked Manvi getting worried.

SIYA- my phone is in room..

SHATRUGHAN- bye..

Shatrughan disconnect the call and looks at Siya.

SIYA- Bharat ko kuch der akela rehne do. Give him some time, he will get back to us.. ok..??

Shatrughan nods his head in agreement. They both leaves from there without disturbing bharat more...

Next morning, Bharat was standing near the window of his room looking outside. His mind was gathered with the thoughts of what Dashrath said to him last night. He was sad, depressed and worried for himself. Suddenly his trails of thoughts broke when his phone rang. He looks at the caller and gets happy to witness Ram's name...

BHARAT- bhaiya...

Ram smile hearing Bharat's voice.

RAM- how are you bharat..??

Bharat gets emotional listening to Ram.

BHARAT- when are you returning bhaiya.? I am not feeling good about anything..

Siya who was has came there was listening to Bharat.

RAM- I am returning soon.. Don't worry. But first of all tell me.. why are you sad..??

Bharat wipes his tears and continued.

BHARAT- I am not able to do anything bhaiya. I spoilt it all bhaiya.. I can't do anything...

Siya looks at him feeling sad. Ram smile at his words.

Bharat turns around to witness Siya holding a portrait. He looks confused.

Ram disconnect the call and looks at lakshman.

LAKSHMAN- bhaiya.. why didn't you tell them that we are returning tomorrow..?

Lakshman became happy hearing him. Bharat moves towards Siya.

BHARAT- what is this bhabhi.?

Siya gave the portrait to him and a bag having paints and paint brushes.. bharat looks at her.

SIYA- I think this is the best way to get back our old bharat..??

Bharat become happy looking at what siya brought for him. Siya caresses his face.

SIYA- hume wo karna chahiye jisse hume khushi milti he. Painting makes you happy right..? So utilise your time in this.

Bharat nods at her in agreement.

Kranti became surprised hearing this standing at door. Bharat takes his paint bag from her and started doing his work while Siya was looking at his painting. Kranti leaves from there in her room...
