Jas, we are having our pooja today. With parents being here, it's full on prep work as regards to all the sweets and savories. My tummy is I think seriously competing with ganesha's .

Our daughter is not going bk for now. In fact she and her roommate with great difficulty managed to together sublease one portion of their apt. The other portion is kept vacant for either of the girls to go back for a period of three weeks now and then for their Labs or if they want a change of space to hang out with their friends and study.

She was and is in two minds about this. The temptation is always there to go back and hang out with her friends. It peeps in a bit more when she talks to her friends who are already there or moving in this week. She is not entirely too happy about staying home but having a place to go back to when she really wants to / has to / needs to is a compromise we worked out with her. The idea is to observe for a bit and may be she will go for a period for three to four weeks from mid sept- mid as all her classes are anyways online .

Wishing the best for your daughter Jas. Praying for all these kids to have uninterrupted semester. Good luck.

I can be blamed for all the thread confusions. But as a backup plan I am trying to end my day by kicking up this thread to the top.

They ate various fresh and cooked snacks

"Do u plan to visit Chicago?" he asked silkily

She turned bright red

"Probably not"

"Understand" he said grimly

"Dont look at me like that... YOU have moved on" she said finally

She tried not to tear up, pretending to wipe off the cinnamon sugar from her cheek

He chased after her

"You said your phone was dead... this is not NOIDA" he growled grabbing her hand with his one free arm, holdinga large paper bag

"Its the middle of the day! Tapan" she turned around to lash at him

"Theek hai" he let go of her hand

They both stood still and breathed in and out audibly

She turned around a bit shaky...

"Why cant we be cool Tapan?" she begged

"You are asking ME? I was the onbe who asked you if you are visiting Chicago remember?" he scoffed

"Are you? (still in love with me?") she wanted to ask but stopped short

"Don't go there Shubhra" he warned

"How long are you here for?" she asked sighing

"Until Tuesday" he said
