I hope this is not the end for these two. This was an issue that Tapan and Shuhbra could not ignore. It would have been difficult for both of them to walk on eggshells in regards to shubhra dad and Tapan. This was bound to happen maybe it was good that it happened before marriage. In order for this relationship to work they need to work on other things unfortunately loving one another is not enough all the time

Fallout Fault

"Arey rey YEH kya ho gaya?" Gagan refused to touch his tea pacing the living room frantically

"Its not your fault" Tapan mumbled while staring at his laptop screen

"MERA nahi hai TERA zaroor hai" hai he thundered

Tapan sat up, setting his laptop on the coffee table

Parul came rushing from inside

"Gagan kyon chilla rahe ho aap"

"Kitni sagayiyan tootengi iski?" Gagan yelled

Parul nodded crying

"Kal raat ITNA tamasha kiya toone" Gagan was totally angry

"I didnt Gagan

"YOU DID... bache ki shaadi hai, aas paas rishtedaaron mein SABKI shaadi ho gayi, he found a girl he liked, hafta hua nahi toot gayi sagai. Yeh is ghar mein chal kya raha hai"

Tapan was very polite respectful and fearful of Gagan especially when Gagan was so mad

"Jeej.."

"Tu ek dum chupp" samjha?" Gagan looked really distressed

"Aap chai to pee lo"

"Tumhe aisa nahi karna chahiye tha" He glared at Parul

"I did not drive her awa" Parul shouted

"No she did not, I told her I am OK with never seeing her Dad"

"Dimaag kharab hai tera?" Gagan yelled

"No.. umm. I dont think so

"How can u say such a thing?" Gagan was shocked

"You know what Manik Grover did"

"Chal maan lete hain teri baat... chal tu yeh soch le, BAUJI ne kiya woh sab" Gagan challenged

Tapan cringed when he put Bauji in Manik's place

"EXACTLY!"

"I am unable to"

"Kisi bete ya beti ke saamne uske baap ki beizzati karke dekh"

"I didnt do it to spite her"

"Gagan"

"Galti se dupatta kisi ke number plate mein lag gaya, itna tamasha kiya yaar aapne?" Gagan was upset

"You were in the hospital Gagan, it was a hit and run"

"Isko miley bande? Prove karo koi baat, agar kiya bhi, to baat karke solve ho jaati baat"

"I am trying to locate them" Tapan paced the living room

It continued to rain outside

"Yahi kaam reh gaya hai aapke paas, Didi ne aapke mehnat se pyaar se aapko... bahar bheja, koi bhala insaan... kisi ne green card lene ke liye loan diya... aur janab kya kar rahe hain? Yahan par NOIDA mein jasoosi" Gagan was really mad

"I have to find out... who did it... you dont have to agree Jeej"

"Find out karo APNE liye, main kal milkar aaonga Shubhra se"

"No don't" Tapan ordered

"Tumse poochhkar sab kiya yaar maine, saal mein DAS baar aate ho milne, Parul roti hai is liye mana nahi kiya, lakhon diye is flat ke, gaadi book kar rahe ho kal... ghar bhara pada hai... dont do this" Gagan's voice cracked up

Parul whimpered

"It all seems like you are doing everything for us and nothing for u, Amma kahengi swarth hai mera aur Parul ka"

"I will talk to her it has nothing to do with either of you"

"Sharam naam ki cheez hai? Sagai ko hafta hua yaar"

"I DID NOT break it off" Tapan looked hurt

Gagan calmed down a bit and sat down

"Did u want me to lie to her Jeej?" "Did u want me to go over there and act like I care for that man? First off he would have kicked my teeth in... 100s watched he told me I lured his daughter and s---- assauted her"

Gagan sucked his breath in in horror

"They are very trashy" Parul chimed in

"Ek dum chup yaar... THEY matlab? Shubhra bhi? yaar tum dono ne na" Gagan shook his head

"I didnt Gagan... I wanted her to stay for dinner... I didnt break anything off with her" Parul joined hands in prayer

"This is not KG Parul, shaadi tor di aapne"

"Not her Jeeju" Tapan quickly accosted Gagan

"this is a big deal, aapko samajh aa rahi hai baat?"

"I KNOW that" Tapan nodded in pain

"Did u love her?"

Tapan lowered his gaze to hide his tears

“To? chhod dogey? Uska baap to dulha ready rakhe hue khara hai”

Tapan grunted and opened the balcony door

Wind and rain lashed on his face

“Zukaam hoyega band karo” Gagan scolded

“Main baat karoonga kal Shubhra se” Gagan promised

Tapan’s heart sang

He knew there was an infinitesimal chance to fix anything here onward

she was gorgeous, she made him get butterflies in his stomach, kissing her made his toes curl Her mischievous nature in private was intoxicating

Her sense of fashion, her one perfume likely cost more than all his shoes... those feet tho... and hands.. and the.. um

the chances she were pining for him were minuscule

He turned around picked up his laptop and went to his room

The ring sat on the exact spot she had left it

Chalo at least someone is talking sense here!!!

If they really want this relationship to bloom then they have to talk.

Gagan has made the one point that is being ignored. Shubhra can not be lumped into the same category as her parents. While Parul didn't obviously say anything, her behavior with Shubhra was cold and she knew she was being held responsible.

Has Parul understood Shubhra's character? Not enough.

Another point Gagan made. What if one of their own has done something? Would they discard them never to see them again? Probably not. They would at least try to salvage the situation by talking. Don't they do that with Nitin all the time?

Manik is a tough nut to crack. The man can even be dangerous. We think he ordered the hit. Its possible it could be Pawan. Its OK if Tapan doesn't want to go to their house. At least not yet. But Shubhra should not be barred from going.

I don't think anyone has told Manik the damage he had done to Tapan's family maybe it might change his perspective but maybe not.

It seems Tapan and shubhra.are ready to give up on their relationship faster then giving it a chance and actually work on their relationship

Not just shubhra , even gagan is burdened with their past for all these years. Would he not long to live a life that doesn't turn the past pages in the frequency it does.

❤️❤️ And then there are these tiny tender moments

I loooove that Gagan is pulling up the brother- sister duo.. While their frustrations have understandably come to a head, their lashing out at Shubhra was so heartbreaking! And Gagan is an absolute cutie 3

Shubhra has been a loner.. no relationship with her mother, not really close to her brothers, not more than 2-3 close friends and a half decent bond with her father. She finds acceptance and warmth with Tapan and Parul for the first time.

The woman who was hesitant to intrude on her fiance's family celebration on rakshabandhan a couple of days back has obviously sensed the undercurrents in her fiance's and best friend's behaviour. While Tapan and Parul had stood strong so far, this instance they served her just what her insecurities have been looking out for all along!

Shubhra insists to Tapan to make up with his brother, tells him he can't just let go of Nitin because of a disagreement/fight. All this for the guy who has insulted her, been mean to her for no reason whatsoever... not one decent interaction between the two. How can this person just let go of the only familial bond she has in a snap!

The couple, if they see a future together, will have to come to terms with each other's feelings for Manik. The Acharyas-Tiwaris need not be gushing towards him but Shubhra too needs some space to maintain this one relation of hers.

As for Manik, I really hope his recent actions, however wrong and ugly, were taken with Shubhra's interests in mind and not some business opportunity... as it appeared to be earlier with Monga. The alternative could be a gutting blow to Shubhra after her broken engagement! :(
