We take these small things for granted. Body shaming I guess is a part of the culture. I kept hearing as we grew up. I was very active so I have never had to deal with weight issues. But yea ladies at home used to scream at me since I loved playing cricket till about 16 on how no one will want me since I will become dark. I have a birth problem due to which I started wearing glasses even for that I used to hear a lot. I started having self esteem issues. Luckily for me bro and grandpa realised and helped me understand it's imp to be a nice person and it's ok to do what u want as long as it is not criminal

I realised how much I missed my fam when I moved to Bangalore for studies. In the beginning both me and bro stayed at the hostel. But 3 months we could not manage with the food and loneliness and moved into a studio apartment. I must admit I cried first couple of days because we were able to eat some decent food.

Its unfortunate and distressing to hear it. I used to be a tomboy also, never really cared about what I looked like in my teen years (being from a conservative Iyer family its not like I would have been allowed to wear cut off shorts or make tik-tok videos, woh alag baat hai)

If u live in a apartment like setting, all people do is gossip...

(Though some might put a spin of "We all care for each other")
