Beautiful update. The family means so much to shubhra. It's very unfortunate that their life is so intertwined. Hopefully they can move forward and this makes them stronger.

"Nahi call aaya bahar se, paani nahi tha bed ke paas paani lene aaya, fridge mein bhi khatam hai, ek bottle bharke ice daal leta hoon"

"DAHI nahi khaati ho? Dilli ki garmi mein kaam kaise chalta hai tumhara?"

"Tapan chhod aaye aapko?" "Parul boli akele nahi bhejhna hai"

"Bauji soye hain, abhi chai maang lenge to mujhe ghar rehna padega" Amma was possessive

"So paaye aap raat ko?" Shubhra was reminded of the "Bauji soney nahi dete comment that one day months ago"

"Arey kahan beta, Bauji ne hamey itna tang kiya"

Shubhra ran out of the kitchen suppressing her laughter

"Poking fun at the grand old lady?" Tapan questioned wickedly

"One time.." Shubhra stopped

"I know I heard when you and Di were giggling about Amma in the laundry balcony"

Shubhra colored shyly

"Where are you off to?"

"Umm.. my... ho... office"

"Thanks for showing up" "And caring" he said hands in his kurta pockets

"You are welcome... Parul is so... umm amazing" she nodded linking her fingers nervously

"I am too jetlagged now I will write you a check"

He heard Bauji snoring his lungs out

Amma clattered dishes in the sink

"Tapan... I told my Dad if he had anythingt o do with Gagan's injuries I..." she didnt finish

She didnt want him to think she was too melodramatic

Like she was trying to kiss up to the Tiwaris or Acharyas

He breathed audibly

"I have to get to the bottom of this" she told him calmly looking at his clean sparkling, well groomed feet

"Ruk nahi sakti tum?" he growled possessively

"Umm.. I have to go" she slinked back

"Gagan is fine, main unko dekhkar aa raha hoon"

"Jaanti hoon, par jo hua woh galat hai... I was stupid to rush off and see you like that... I hope Parul can forgive me" she was tearful

She nodded eyes filing up with tears

"You have a great family Tapan... I dont have that... I have no business involving you in my drama"

"Ah" he was pissed

"I don't want you to feel obligated to"

"Shut up right now and leave Shubhra" he warned

"Please dont do that whole private security thing... I will getmyself a phone soon and will return your phone"

He opened the door... and leaned on it holding the doorknob tightly until his knuckles turned white

"Please don't confront my Dad" she begged

"Tumse poochhkar ... tum MUJHSE poochhkar karti ho sab baat?" he growled menacingly approaching her

"I told you I am sorry for showing up like that in Chicago"

"Mujhe tumhare advise ki koi zaroorat nahi Shubhra, I will do what I have to"

"Please... don't.. be hurt.."

"Don't hurt Daddy you mean princess?" he smiled derisively

"I did not say that Tapan"

"OK... I will break it to you. I am going to go see Pawan and your Dad. and get to the bottom of this one way or another.. do what you can to stop me" he tone was like a caning
