Love shubhra's recklessness sometimes its important to be reckless especially if it can benefit you. Hopefully these two can have a conversation instead of dancing around each other something they both enjoy

I know the updates had so many other things to ponder but one that's amusingly stuck with me for hours after I read those updates is the Quintessential American breakfast the veg version with eggs. Nisha you missed pancakes and Hash Browns . You are excused for not mentioning the bacon😆

Ask an American what their gourmet dream for a breakfast would be? 8 out of 10 would fancy a waffle as their fanciest without batting an eyelid IMO. No kidding guys ! Making an omelette or a pancake is a huge deal for these guys who for some time pressing reason like to believe they are always in a hurry. Oh no time ! Eating cereal or smoothie on the go or picking up Starbucks can give you five more mins on insta/ TikTok. Fanciest gourmet weekend breakfast is the God Bless IHOP

Anyway all this preamble is for my point here which is Indha Paavam vayiru!!! That guy's dialogue in English Vinglish Movie comes to my mind. I miss my Idli and my mother very very very much ( in that order) 😆

I will absolutely NOT eat any of that garbage if I dont have to

I make a big batch of upma for dinner some night, the next 3 or 4 days for breakfast I will pack leftover upma with kothamali thokku.

I have no laziness when it comes to cooking

If I make idli for dinner I will make an additional 12 or 16 and the next 4 or 5 days I have enough for work breakfast

If there is dosa maav, on weekends I will eat dosa and molaga podi for breakfast wash it down with my second dose frothy filter kaapi

If I make poori aloo for dinner, I will make 8 or 10 extra and the next 4 days poori for breakfast even after subzi is gone I will pack it with thokku or achar

It somehow elevates the crappy sarkari kaapi I get at work

I try every opportunity to never eat another bagel or cereal or oatmeal (unless its in upma form 😛)

the Irish butter tastes like Amul cant recall the name so if I have that then occasionally I will have tava toast with a karandi/karchi of butter (I know!🤣) and wash it down with elaichi chai

JUST for the miserable breakfast choices we plan to return to Dilli after retirement

Manushan thimbana inda oor breakfast (insaano ke khaane layak nahi hai is desh ka breakfast)

Yeah I know! Give us a bread we can make a upma , give us oats we can make a upma😆. It tastes deli too. Yum with thokku like you said . When I make bread upma, I put lots of ginger and kadi patha and green chili. Wash it down with filter kaapi! Aaaha!!!! Butter Croissants with coffee can get boring in a day or two but not bread upma🤣

I like the Kerry gold Irish butter. It's more yellow when compared to any random stick of butter. That taste you get is because these cows are fed grass that gets the butter that color . Tastes like amul.

you both have made me so hungry again. Quarantine created chefs out of teenagers who cook 3 dinners in a week. And I had to absolutely nod and yum kotify for the lasagna. Given any day, I would take idli, sambhar, thengai chutney for every meal. Sigh 😔

"I LOVE my Dad I am never goingt o stop loving him" she was telling herself more than she was telling him

"Its my fault now I didnt stay back and continue to pursue you?"

"You are putting words in my mouth now" she accused

"I am going to take a shower" he said getting up indicating he was OK with her staying

"Is she not coming back?" she asked again "I will leave I dont want to stay"

He paused turned around....

"No" he said

"Did you find her on Tinder?" she found herself getting very angry

"Where else" he said smugly

His phone rang "I have to take this" he said grimacing, by the time he was done with the call around 30 minutes later and came out of his office

She had slumped on the large plush couch, in the all male elegantly furnished condo and was fast asleep

He threw a blanket over her and put a pillow under her head and went off to take a shower

Returned in a few seconds, took a picture, sent it with a text to Parul
