I watched never have I ever this weekend. One question, as moms of first generation Americans do you ladies identify with it or is it an exaggeration? Also, do you face that kind of conflict at home?

I am loosing faith Jas! Some of them are so cavalier about gaming the system every way! Look at the billions in play here at these levels! Bankruptcy bail outs amounting to billions, tax reliefs , CEO's pocketing their insane Million dollar bonus packages, deferrals, stock vestings, before retirement and then you close stores... more unemployment , so more money hand outs...

There's a set of people who feel entitled every way.... the entitled people are the rich and so called 'poor'... people here who are lazy who are choosing not to come back to their jobs till there's time as they are getting far more unemployed than what they were making when employed. I don't make any distinction between the rich and poor sets .... because there's a small set ( again not generalising here) who knows how to benefit using which loophole and which avenue .

Who's stuck?!! the guys In the middle who are slogging hard to hold their jobs , pay taxes and take care of their families!! This middle set takes care of the rich first, poor next and with whatever money left , takes care of themselves next .

How else do you explain JCP confident of getting 450 million, look at the AT&T guy retiring loaded... how do you justify such kind of packages when the company supposedly is not doing well.

On one hand there's an entitled Caucasian in my neighborhood insensitively posting oh! I got my chickens for free that I have started to rear in my yard using my stimulus cheque!!Worse! That insensitive fellow is bragging by quoting Dire strait's Song of money for nothin' and chicks for free . On another other hand you have a Pelosi showcasing her icecream stock on national television , saying this is her let out during crisis Covid . I'm appalled !!

Huawei is under the scanner, chip supply banned to them ! Wait ! Then what's this then ... oh while that's the general current cautious approach , we do allow certain American co owners who are granted special license to sell to them. .. under the umbrella of case by case application approach! What a joke!!

What could these licenses entail? An umbrella for favors exchange... investments channeled to family member's companies in exchange for bill amendments benefiting a few!!

This pandemic is exposing a few rich and a few poor alike!!

Forgot to mention. There's a Paycheck protection program which is a sophisticated loan mela . Already squeezed there is the bail out. Loans can be forgiven if they spend 75 percent of it on payroll. Also If any furloughed employees voluntarily don't join work , that will also be adjusted.

There's enough to take advantage here. It begs asking , With whose money are the loans being FORGIVEN?!!! What a boat load of bull!!!

the system is so broken, overhaul will not help. We need some new high efficiency system. Easier said than done. Till then, u and I will write big portion to tax dollars while someone else is raising chickens or scheming to get bankruptcy benefits.

I watched 4 episodes with my daughter. We both felt it was a bit exaggerated. Not sure if that’s bcos we live in desi adda NJ.

Shubhra had no idea how it happened, she was not sure if Punita in a desperate act of self preservation had taken the first rope thrown to her by Ashutosh?

Vinod was an invisible man, just like herself people never noticed him, he was usually at his desk all day, poring over paper documents and his PC screens

He didnt flirt with any female staffers and usually declined any group lunch invites

She had hardly noticed Punita even interacting with him

She needed to get to the bottom of this one again. she spent the next week fielding Delhi Police calls for "Aap aakar zara thaane mein statement de do" and talking to people other than Vinod and Punita

ashutosh took two days off

Neha didnt know much usually

She dare not go to Daddy with this, he will most definitely tell Mom and that would be it

The lawyer Vinod apprenticed with spoke really high of him she was sure he must not have done anything

But these days in Delhi you could never tell

Mr Ghosh, Vinod's part time boss was in Calcutta

Her own lawyer Mr.Nautiyal had promised to meet her this afternoon

She didnt pay him 10 lakhs a month so he wasnt exactly jumping on requests for calls

She drew out the sequence of events on her white board

Two issues

Mrs Kataria threatening to sue

Punita alleging harassment

Both connected and unusual

Ashutosh wasnt much help at all after he returned, indicated that he received a verbal approval from Vinod

Kinda backing Punita up

Hmm...

If there was a police investigation, it would take away from what she was doing to sustain and grow her business

the fact that they showed up a week ago was bad enough

Mr Nautiyal called in the afternoon and they went over everything in detail about both cases

He promised to talk to Mrs Kataria's lawyer and talk to the SHO of the NOIDA PS

"Main jaake baat karke dekhoon?" Shubhra offered, "Ya aapke saath chal sakti hoon"

"Umm.. batata hoon beta aapko" he dragged

She nodded hanging up

This was holding her feet by the fire

She contemplated a list of choices for both situations

1. Call Mrs Kataria and talk her out of it

2. Claim she actually gave verbal approval when they met

3. Tell Mr Nautiyal to counter sue

4. Figure out what it will take to work a resolution

1. Some how contact Punita and talk to her (her phone was switched off and Ashutosh was acting like he didnt know where she lived). Shubhra recalled it was some hostel she moved to recently.

2. Tell Delhi Police Mr Nautiyal will address the charges in court

3. Produce all the records she had kept of how she proceeded to build marketing content without approval from home owner

4. partner with Vinod and have her withdraw her complaint

5. Have Vinod investigated anyway

6. Find out what Ashutosh and Punita were up to (did she now have to fire Ashutosh?)

She needed a break... this was too exhausting she didnt walk back home until 1 AM from her work building these days

Her mother called to ask why she wasnt coming over for dinner anymore

"I will next week maybe?"

"I want to ask you something"

"As long as its not about a suitable boy"

"It is actually" Tara giggled

"Maaa"

"He is gorgeous... he has his own consumer data analytics company"

she was so tired of this theatre

"You know what? Knock yourself out" she said viciously

"Kya matlab?" tara was confused

"I just told u yes" her shoulders slumped in defeat

She had no idea

"Uski Mamma is going to be soooo happy" Tara was breathless, giddy

He had almost a buzz cut... broad shoulders, with a dimple on his left cheek, typical Punjabi good looks...

She wondered...

"Is this you match making? does his mother know?" she asked baffled

"Oh, Garima and I talked 3 times already"

Srikanth and II😂😂😂Dnt know why, last para reminded me of sosy(this story is entirely different, still.... May be i am comparing it with the superlative.... It feels like been ages.... 😭😭😭😭. I know there is nothing more to tell in sosy as u have once said, but i miss rnb and ii so badly. )

She could do 1 and 4 with the Kataria situation. Apologize , talk it out saying there's been a miscommunication conceding an oversight, convince her to make the approval for real, throw kataria's lawyer carrots, take a cut in marketing fees and when the deal for the home goes through, take a percentage cut in commission and save whatever face she has so far built for her brand. 2 and 3 probably might be a disaster with no proof to back up her statement or counter sue. Her feet is by the fire... prolonged exposure will burn her.

The second one with punita and Ashutosh there's a saying Agar Ghee seedhi ungli se na nikle, to ungli tedi karni padti hai" . That's it bend your finger if you have to to scoop the ghee ....if legitimate means won't work to draw punita out from her hole place other traps to get to the target. Also find out if she has got a business rival who's using Ashutosh as a mole or is he is just plain toxic sabotaging shubhra. Tapan could really help here. He'a a proven master mind here placing all sources, and handle this situation .

On the proposal , Tara is understandably excited for her daughter, Only we know it's a waste of time and exercise,😃 😉but neither she nor her mom know that .

I realize that I'm more republican In my ideologies and that does not mean that I am with the radical extreme right wing any step of the way. It's just that my ideologies are more leaning towards the conservatives. I believe One of the biggest first world problems is entitlement and that makes me a conservative I guess. I would like to believe I'm not a hard core racist , not a fascist just a conservative . Ha Ha... I hope that's not criminal 🤗

Though I think Currently my shade under the pandemic cloud is anti establishment 😀🤣

There are no pure politicians, only business men. One of the core competencies, if not the most core to become a politician in any country leave alone US is to be a thorough bred business man. We have Only been electing them for donkeys years now.

Sudhi my daughter made me watch the first episode and then straight bumped me to the last two episodes. ... she was like okay I want you to see the first one so that you get an idea of the conflict and the last two I will rewatch with you because you'll like how it has ended. I asked her what about the in between! For that she goes, well! not unless you want to understand how we mostly drool!!🤣

So my review is for those ones I was 'permitted' to watch. The three I saw , I felt, there is definitely a conflict. The degree of conflict is directly proportional to the transparency and communication that they share with their parents . I felt majority of this particular cultural conflict was honest in its portrayal while as in every serial there was cinematic liberties taken to dramatise a tiny bit.

But Sudhi, most of them eventually come around ... there's a comfort staying close to their roots.

"Mintu ne Bunty ke thru aapne jo amount bhijwayi woh le liye dikhta hai" "Bunty ne kuch kaha nahi... uske baad to sorry"

So what tapan from shubh is a White lie after all. He has had a hand in keeping Gulati quiet for a while by using bunty to give a portion cash! He can be really convincing when he pulls these cards out of his sleeves.

Punita is using the woman card against vinod but she has dragged another woman here accusing shubh of instigation. If Tapan snoops and punita is caught lying ,She'll have that cat calling weasel Ashutosh for company en route hell.
