Half of the retail companies would be gone by end of the pandemic. Craziest part - rich play the market and become richer; poor struggle to keep the neckline above the water financially and medically. Saddest state of affairs.

For a second I thought u were talking about the Money Heist series in Netflix. Have been binge watching that

Harassment

She rushed back to her office and summoned Punita,Ashutosh the IT guy and Vinod the process/legal guy

"What happened here?" she ran her fingers thru her hair nervously

"Ma'am main kuch kahoon?" Vinod the legal guy offered nervously

"Ma'am I thought approval mil jaayega" Punita blurted

"Manju (the documentation record keeping person) said she was filling out legal forms" Punita continued

"You know how long it takes,"shubhra yelled

"Ma'am aap pehle shaant ho jao" Punita was a bit cocky

"Is Manju here, she only works part time na?"

"Aaj nahi aayi" Neha mumbled

"Ma'am main busy hoon woh Meerut kothi ke page mein bugs hain" Ashutosh was trying to escape

"Nahi, please sit I really want to understand if you all are following established practices"

Ashutosh sat down reluctantly

Manik called her for

"10 logon ka office hai MNC jaisa attitude dikha rahi hai bandi" he whispered to Punita

Punita was in deep s--- she giggled to make herself feel better

She was not supposed to make pretty brochures until Vinod sent her an email saying "Home owner approval received"

"Process kya hai dude" Ashutosh kept flicking his hair in a signature dude move

Vinod didnt really care for him, Vinod was apprenticing with a lawyer over the weekend, he still had a couple classes to go,

Shubhra consulted a different lawyer on a need basis who looked at every tenant's documentation before Vinod gave the nod

The lawyer Mr Ghosh was out of town this week, back home in Calcutta

"Vinod ka kaam to" Punita mumbled

"Aap mujhe keh rahi hain, maine aapko email kaha bheji" Vinod was furious

Neha nervously looked at the door fearing Shubhra would return to a cat fight

"Aapne kaha mujhe papers chal raha hai"

"approval to nahi kaha na"

"Yaar inko na shaadi kar leni chahiye" Ashutosh stood up and walked to the window and spun Shubhra's chair

He wanted out, he didnt have any jobs lined up

Tara would categorize him in the same group as her own Shubhra, mediocre...

Punita and Vinod argued

Neha paced the room nervously frequently placing her ear on the door

"Aaa gayi Ma'am" she shouted

Shubhra entered to find Ashutosh by the window

"Vinod did you send it?" she asked scouring through papers on her desk and checking email

"Ma'am I didnt send"

"Ma'am inhoney verbally kaha tha" Punita turned the tables on him to his horror

"KAB?" he panicked

"Jis din woh 3 Rohini flats ka deal lekar aayi ma'am"

"Nahi to"

Ashutosh's eyes glinted with satisfaction that his coaching on Punita was beginning to work

He was teaching her to protect herself and find a way out of every soup

"Vinod aap verbal approval ? I dont even get it"

she asked all of them to narrate the time line of events

Neha took notes, she let them go

She went home exhausted at 10 PM, showered changed into her draw string shorts and sleeveless tee

Made maggi and curled up on the couch with her glass of fave red wine

she suddenly realized there was something outside her front door

She checked WhatsApp as she opened

"Ghar nahi aati ho call to karo, I left food outside" Parul had texted

There was a giant bag of stacked dabbas

She opened all of them and ate from it all

There was a note, "Kusum ke parents aaye dinner par you should have come"

The food was so good, she shoved her face in it

Her Maggi mocked her in the corner

"Godd... I am not sure why I even eat you" she smiled

Getting some of her good mood back

The home made rasmalai was divine, there were 4 subzis and dal makhani

Food coma is real

"thank u I was going to eat this" she texted her a picture of her limp Maggi

"OMG... tum shaam ko yahi aa jaaya karo"

"Oh no"

"This is terrible, at least I can send u food?"

"Oh no..."

"We have to meet dont be a stranger please love?"

"Yeah" Shubhra was overwhelmed by Parul's kindness

"Promise?" "can I count on you to visit tomorrow?"

"I will try... I am just slammed"

"I get it babe, but evenings?"

"I am dealing with stuff thats not even work related..."

"Kya hua?" Parents OK?"

"Oh yeah yeah... its work stuff but weird issue that doesnt even make sense to me"

"I wish I could help, I quit the workforce over 15 years ago"

"Oh no dont worry"

"Please take care of your self"

"I will... I just want to get to the bottm of this thing"

Parul lay in bed worrying

She texted Tapan after pondering for an hour

"Hey do you know whats going on with Shubhra?"

"Why?" he asked almost immediately

"she sounded stressed, its almost 12:20 she is just having dinner"

"So?"

"she said she has to get to the bottom of it"

"I didnt do a thing," he was defensive

"Tapann tumhe nahi keh rahi hoon"

"So?"

"Umm.. never mind"

"Are u actually encouraging me to dig up dirt?

He sent a winky

all of them got a snooping mission text from Tapan in the next 10 minutes

He waited until it was 8 AM the next morning and pinged the guys again

When Tapan got a Whats App from Mahipal a day later about the Mrs Kataria non approval issue and involving her lawyer

If you incented people enough they wouldnt hesitate to spill the beans on anyone in the Delhi property dealer circle

He wondered why Manik's lawyer was not making a mince meat out of Mrs Kataria's lawyer

Intriguing...

He had no idea how to approach this one......

Parul was pestering him daily "kuch kiya?"

"Boy! U do care for her"

"does she know that?" he teased

"Tumhe kyon bataoon?"

"I think u are bored... u organized a wedding for a year, u are hoping to fill the void by messing with"

"Nahi... aati nahi aaj kal ghar par"

"Did u forget her Dad's wealthy? He could buy us all out?"

"did u find out anything?" Parul obsessed over it again

"U want for it to be true... u want some crisis" he chuckled, "Quit harassing her"

Oh fish! Having to deal with the legalese of such serious accusations sucks ! Sticky soupy mess! This is not a Maggi soup that she can cast aside!!

Though on the face of it, it sounds insensitive to not take a woman's voice on these matters as fact, given how evasive, unprofessional, callous ,Insensitive , gossip mongering , blame gaming punita has been so far with her office people , one would have enough reasons to question her motives .

Manik grover's drunken stupor won't cut teeth here! Shubhra needs solid good hands of support to wriggle out of this .

I keep thinking of watching it the last three weekends but I don't seem to make time for it anymore! Probable start binge watching next weekend !

I am loosing faith Jas! Some of them are so cavalier about gaming the system every way! Look at the billions in play here at these levels! Bankruptcy bail outs amounting to billions, tax reliefs , CEO's pocketing their insane Million dollar bonus packages, deferrals, stock vestings, before retirement and then you close stores... more unemployment , so more money hand outs...

There's a set of people who feel entitled every way.... the entitled people are the rich and so called 'poor'... people here who are lazy who are choosing not to come back to their jobs till there's time as they are getting far more unemployed than what they were making when employed. I don't make any distinction between the rich and poor sets .... because there's a small set ( again not generalising here) who knows how to benefit using which loophole and which avenue .

Who's stuck?!! the guys In the middle who are slogging hard to hold their jobs , pay taxes and take care of their families!! This middle set takes care of the rich first, poor next and with whatever money left , takes care of themselves next .

How else do you explain JCP confident of getting 450 million, look at the AT&T guy retiring loaded... how do you justify such kind of packages when the company supposedly is not doing well.

On one hand there's an entitled Caucasian in my neighborhood insensitively posting oh! I got my chickens for free that I have started to rear in my yard using my stimulus cheque!!Worse! That insensitive fellow is bragging by quoting Dire strait's Song of money for nothin' and chicks for free . On another other hand you have a Pelosi showcasing her icecream stock on national television , saying this is her let out during crisis Covid . I'm appalled !!

Huawei is under the scanner, chip supply banned to them ! Wait ! Then what's this then ... oh while that's the general current cautious approach , we do allow certain American co owners who are granted special license to sell to them. .. under the umbrella of case by case application approach! What a joke!!

What could these licenses entail? An umbrella for favors exchange... investments channeled to family member's companies in exchange for bill amendments benefiting a few!!

This pandemic is exposing a few rich and a few poor alike!!

Forgot to mention. There's a Paycheck protection program which is a sophisticated loan mela . Already squeezed there is the bail out. Loans can be forgiven if they spend 75 percent of it on payroll. Also If any furloughed employees voluntarily don't join work , that will also be adjusted.

There's enough to take advantage here. It begs asking , With whose money are the loans being FORGIVEN?!!! What a boat load of bull!!!
