They met again in secret, even though it was in broad daylight. He was waiting for her smiling, as she rushed up the stairs to greet him. As she hugged him tightly, he allowed himself to relax on her shoulders.
'How are you, dear?' she asked him concernedly.
He smiled seductively up at her, "I will be fine, when we are a bit more.. acquainted." She had to smile at his eyebrow wriggling.

"Captain Sharma, we have to do something to get Captain Shekhawat out of this mess."
Alekh rubbed his chin thoughtfully and looked at his superior, ''That's what I'm thinking about Colonel Bhattacharya, but the problem is, what do we do?"
"I don't know, Alekh, but there has to be a clue somewhere. I still refuse to believe that he murdered his son."
****
"Ali, please Ali, please save Rajveer. I- I don't know what's goin-"
"Naina, calm down. Let's approach this logically. Think Naina think, if I were Rohit's killer, where would I hide the clues?"
****
"Dearest, do you think it's safe for us to be here? Your wife might call you?"
he shook his head and smiled at her, "she never does."
"And what about my husband?"
"You could tell him you are stuck in traffic. Now come on sweety, I just want to be here with you."
****
"CRPP!"
"Captain Alekh!"
Alekh was too excited to care, and continued on, "Colonel, we have to check the old CRPP officers. They are the ones who mainly know about it." Colonel Bhattacharya hesitated, but he urged him on, "Come on Colonel!! We need to do this.!"
****
"Naina, I think I got it."
she spun around and faced her friend apprehensively, "What?"
"We could call Mrs. Shekhawat, Ritu. She would know something related to this." Naina stared at him, as Rajveer's voice came back to her, "My wife died today, Madam." She looked up at her excited friend and shook her head, "No." She didn't go into any explanations.
****
"Honey, kiss me."
He smiled and obliged, "How could I ever refuse you," he murmured into her hair, "Just imagine, we did all this and no one suspected that it was us."
She smirked, "Lets not talk about that. this is the moment of our victory."
****
"Ok..let's start with Lieutenant Colonel Kunal Parashar. He seems pretty decent, married, no kids, no bad reputation, works undercover for the army, owns the company KMP."
Alekh was dismissing the files, when he suddenly stopped and looked at the colonel, "What did you say was the company?"
"KMP. It's shared under him and his wife."
Alekh had suddenly gone deathly quite, "What's his wife's name?" he asked in a half strangled whisper.
"Maia. But I don't see how that has anything to do with the case."
Alekh spun around grimly, "On the other hand, it has everything to do with our case."
****
"Ali, come on. There has to some folders in our closet with Case history."
Ali mumbled something, as he kept rummaging through the stuff and came to a sudden standstill. "What?" Naina urged, when she saw him looking at a picture.
"Who is that guy?" he asked in a very very hoarse whisper.
Naina stared at the man in the picture, who had his arm around Pooja. His face looked familiar, so familiar and recent that Naina couldn't place who he was. And then it suddenly came to her that it was his fighting "match" that she had stopped. 'Lieutenant Colonel Kunal Parashar. And I believe you are Major Singh.'
"Ali," her voice had turned serious, "that man is Lieutenant Colonel Kunal Parashar.
That was when she heard him fall on the ground with a thump.
****
Forty five minutes later, he was standing in front a of a brown, mahogany door which had the name plate, "Kunal Parashar." Hearing voices inside, one of them distinctly familiar, he slammed the door open. The sight which greeted him wasn't very pretty. Inside was Lieut. Parashar with his wife, both involved in some passionate activities. He cleared his throat distinctly..
'What,' his voice had taken a tone of venom,' are you doing?'
'Can't you see?'
'I ask again, ' his voice was deadly calm now, 'what are you doing here?'
'It is none of your business.'
'I bloody well think it is.'
She smirked at him pityingly, 'It won't be after you sign these.'
That was when he saw the divorce papers. His wife was always known for being completely ready, for each and every occasion which had come through in their life. Even today she was completely ready.. to break everything she had with him. When he looked at her, he didn't find remorse, sadness or any other kind of emotion in her eyes. They were blank and lustful, for another man, and it stabbed his heart to see his wife turn so heartless. For a moment, the sight of the other man angered him, and he almost proceded for a lawsuit, but at the end he signed the papers. That was when he knew that the relationship he valued over everything was over.
He looked at the pen he was signing with. She had given it to him; and in a fit of rage he broke the last gifted thing from her to him. The walls between them struck up again..

"I am the mastermind behind all this. And you have no way to stop me."
"Oh yes, we do", said a voice from behind. He turned around to face the newcomer and almost stumbled. For a moment his face lost all the color, but then he smirked, "No, Captain. We still have this."
It was a picture, so very familiar that it was almost strange
