She told herself that she was only savoring the feeling akin to going to a high end spa, where they rejuvenate you mind body and soul, like the one she went to before her wedding with Bik

She sat on the window seat of her room staring out at the drizzle, still in her morning clothes.

Mrs Mitra's home was beautiful and well furnished

The neighborhood CR Park was one of old fashioned moneyed Bengalis that had migrated from Calcutta 10s of years ago.

Her skin glowed and throbbed in places, she pulled her tee and peeked into see the onslaught

She loved what it felt like

She shut her eyes and inhaled the scent of the hoodie

There was no expectations and yet she was blown away

By the evening, that thought flew out the window

Her room mate had also chosen today to play hooky thanks to the rain

She wondered how Mervyn would react. Nobody would care. She told herself

It sounded cringey to be "thanking him for sex

She packed reluctantly at night, and asked Mrs Mitra to wake her up since she slept through her alarm

She hadn't told her she had taken the day off, Mrs Mitra liked a good 24 hour notice for lunch request, so she had to go out and get chow mein

She loved this life. She was getting what she wanted, she wasn't being judged, and she wasn't living close to her parents so they wouldn't be shamed by her actions

Bik loved Ajji's house, and grandpa loved him too, enough so Grandpa passed a couple years after Bik

It was almost 9 PM Sunday nite

The next morning, she was expected to be back at Stern Consulting at 8 after being gone over 10 days

She checked the cheap phone

"Did u get to work safe? he had texted her that Friday she was headed to Bangalore at 2 PM

And a couple other texts one on Saturday and one on Monday

"Are u home tomorrow? she typed nervously

"I will be until 11 he said

She felt that familiar throbbing wrap up inside her immediately.

She showed up at 7 AM on Monday, his house was locked and she didn't even hear the dog

She took an auto back to work severly sexually frustrated

Well i think he is upset as she was gone for over a week and that too without informing him...

The most pertinent rule I guess of casual encounters would be that in the scale of priority one should go with the reality that you could be the last . Thats the nature of the no frills attached boundary that should work for people to avoid getting hurt.

If we look at casual sex as a job, then by that nature it's economics as in Friends with Benefits.
There are no perks of being in an exclusive relationship though there's a hidden cost or an opportunity cost here I'm afraid .

Where can Sam or Avi draw or bend the line ? Simply put ... There' ain't a thing such as free food on the table Baby!!

Something tells me we are headed for a blow up in the near future after may be giving the silent shoulder treatment.
