arnav knew he was sleeping, but he could tell something was wrong. Something in the air just felt... off. He wasn't even dreaming, but his wolf was getting really restless. Something was making his wolf restless.
As the fog of sleep slowly started to clear, his wolf got more urgent, causing him to sit up in alarm. His wolf was never wrong about things like that, so he forced himself to be immediately alert. That's when he realized his wolf was panicking because of kushi.
* I can't hear kushi * arnav reported to akin who let out a growl
* as if I don't know that and if you awake now I like to search for my mate * akin said with sarcasm
arnav fell into silent letting wolf do the job, akin patrolled around the house before he caught the slight scent of his mate.
* oh no kushi went into the forest * arnav can't sit silently now not when their mate in the forest, what if she is in some danger.
arnav heard the group of his wolf at the thought, he jumped into a run as he followed the fading trails of her.
kushi gulped for the ninth time as she looked at the bushes around her, she can't really move from the place it's like her legs stuck.
kushi outright gasped at the thing that comes in front of her, it's the wolf that she was sure but she never seen this much big wolf, it showed his canis to her making kushi fledge in the place she knew she can't outrun this animal its like three times bigger to her size and it tower her in hight.
kushi daring to do the stupid thing took a step back earning a growl from the wolf and it stalked toward her and then it stopped in front of her, it sniffed, yes the wolf sniffed her, kushi can literally hear her own heartbeat loud and clear in fear, she doesn't know if animal sniff their prey before killing them because she never faced this situation in her life.
" ahhh " kushi screamed that may not a good idea because she heard another growl near, and she is an idiot to come into the forest side.
arnav is in control of his wolf form, he doesn't want crazed akin to scare kushi further when he found her, he could change into his human form but wolf is faster and he doesn't have clothes with him, on top of that he doesn't want to meet her naked in the middle of the forest that for sure so he will confront her in wolf form which akin is super pleased with that idea.
arnav can almost hear kushi breathing, he knows he was just a step away from her so walked slowly not wanting to scare her, arnav looked around no wonder kushi lost the way because she was walking opposite direction. then he heard kushi scream, in a matter of second it's akin took full control and growled at whatever that threatening kushi.
what he saw made arnav red with anger, there stood kushi covering as the wolf sniffed her, its one of his pack member, akin sprinted toward them and stood in front of kushi growling at the wolf that dared to near kushi, his mate he doesn't even marked her how dare another male to go near her.
kushi dared to look at another growl that sounded to her right met with eyes that going at her at least she thought, she can guess how her face looked now, in front of her a big black wolf with yellow eyes, bigger than one in front of her. she should be scared at seeing the bigger one but all she felt is relief she doesn't know if she losing her mind with the fear or something like is that even a thing.
as she stood in the place, amused to see the black wolf jumped in front of her and started to growl not to her but to another one.
akin felt like he wants to kill the other wolf for nearing his mate but human in him, arnav said that wolf is pack so akin settled to growling that made another one to take a step back.
arnav made pack connection with the wolf, he was a warrior he was doing his job, patrolling the border. arnav looked around, they were near the packhouses just some walk from here they can found the children and wolf's playing on the field so there is no human entry from here, having to keep their existence safe.
* that doesn't explain why you're scenting her earlier * arnav said joined by the akin growl in warning.
* sorry alpha but she smelled slightly like us but she wasn't werewolf so just checking * the wolf answered
* never do that again that's my mate and your dismissed * arnav said
* that's future Luna * he sounded really surprised and then happy, he bowed and ran toward the packhouse no dought all will be know this matter within a minutes.
kushi watched as the one wolf ran, she don't know what did they talked because the bigger one growled in many times while they both stared at each other so she assumed they talked and the weird thing is that smaller one bowed before it gone.
the black one turned to kushi and stalked toward her, even the wolf helped her with other one kushi don't know it wants to kill her or not.
arnav watched through akin eyes as he neared kushi, she was shaking slightly, he tried to stop akin to walk any closer to her but akin is determined that he want to smell her because according to him its unfair, arnav don't say anything about pack member smelling her but he has problem with akin scenting her, kushi was his mate he can do anything.
" please don't eat me " kushi pleaded as she watched the wolf come near her.
akin let out a snort at that, really his mate is dramatic.
* oh no, how I'm going to live with two drama queens * arnav teased akin
* who your calling drama queen * akin questioned arnav who really don't answer back knowing it is going to start the argument between them.
kushi felt the wolf sniffing at her, its wet snot touched her cheek making kushi squirm in place.
then its young come out and licked her cheek, kushi shuddered at the feeling of rough tongue.
" Oh god don't do that " kushi said
* akin that's enough, let's get kushi back to home * arnav ordered akin
* what are we taking her to packhouse and we can show her our room, do you think she will like our room " akin asked his tail flicking in excitement
* no you fool we need to take her to her parent's house, they must be searching for her by now it's already late * arnav said signing even he doesn't like to leave kushi but he had to.
kushi watched the wild flicking it tail fastly and then he took step back and just stood to watch her, feeling rather lucky kushi smiled a small smile as the wolf don't show any sign of aggressive behavior.
" do you understand what I'm talking, " kushi asked curious to which she got a nod from the wolf.
" so do you have a master " kushi asked thinking about the person who dared to tame this wolf
akin growled he is not anyone's he is his own person.
" okay okay you don't have a master there is no need to growl at me now " kushi relaxed as she started to walk to her left trying to find the way to home.
arnav watched kushi started to walk further away from her home he let out a growl at her.
kushi stopped in her track and turned to the wolf that's standing in the same place as she left.
" what you said you don't eat me and for your information, I'm trying to find the way to my home it's getting darker now," kushi said bored with the growls that he was sending her away
kushi swore that she saw the wolf role its eyes at her " did you just rolled your eyes at me "
akin nodded, his mate understand him perfectly.
" Aww, how rude here I'm lost and your making fun of me in your head " kushi complained
akin rounded her and walked to the opposite direction, looked in between kushi and another side
" is that the way to my home, no wonder I don't find the way after walking forever because I was going opposite but wait how did you know that did you stalk me here " kushi doughly looked the wolf
arnav felt it's going to be forever if they talked like this, he was happy that kushi understanding akin but he had no desire to keep kushi here.
arnav took control of akin pushing him back, he walked near her and looked around and at the sky, huffed at her face.
" yes its late so can you show the way, " kushi asked shyly. she doesn't why she is trusting animal but she does.
they walked side by side for some distance in silence that's until she started to talk.
" so what is your name, oh you can't say right but I don't like to call you wolf so I'm going to call you black because your black and I always wanted to have a dog and name it as blacky " kushi talked with enthusiasm
arnav groaned at comparing him with a dog but he didn't say anything to her.
" so blacky how much far is my home and how much did I walk, I'm tired " kushi complained feelings her legs going sore from all the walking.
blacky stopped suddenly making kushi also stopped " what happened blacky, " kushi asked
arnav sat down and looked in kush is eyes, the first kushi is confused but then it drained when blacky showed his back to her " you want me to ride you " kushi asked breathlessly, not believing what blacky is suggesting.
arnav nodded at her kushi not sure but feeling tired she walked and carefully sat on the back of blacky.
kushi sank her hands into the hairs and held to dear life as blacky stoop up, kushi huddled slightly before settling. blacky looked at her kushi gave him a nod " I'm ready " with that blacky ran with her on his back
within some odd minute, she can see the lights of her house and can hear her parents worried voices.
blacky stopped a few feet away from her house and sat down, its que to get down so kushi slides down already missing the warmth of blacky.
" thank you blacky, " kushi said as she
scratched behind his ears getting purr from him.
arnav looked at her as the time came to part away, he sniffed at her and linked her cheek one more time devouring the taste of her before running from there knowing he won't able to go away from there is not now and he has to face his mother tonight
arnav changed to his human form at the border, taking one of the cloths behind the tree which is just a jean it's enough, here no one is embarrassed about the nakedness.
as he neared the house he can hear so many exited voice inside made him want to run back but it's not an option, not when his mother is waiting in the front door.
arnav don't know much but one thing he knew was it's going to be a long night. he hoped at least kushi would have the good night.
true to his wish she had a good sleep that night with bright yellow eyes that sometimes turning to brown not really scared about what happened all day it's not a normal thing but kushi can't help but feel good inside.

If anyone confused about arnav and akin part
[read ]That's arnav Is human part of arnav and akin is wolf they both share a body, when arnav that's human form akin is aware of what arnav doing and when in wolf form thats akin arnav is aware of what's akin is doing and they can have conversations with each other, their personality also different from each other.
Arnav can take control in wolf form and akin can take control of human form when akin have strong emotions ND if arnav let him.
Hope it's cleared the doubt
