arnav was happy like really happy to spend the good amount of morning spending with kushi and her family, he liked her mother she was all cool about kushi dating him and all, even her father doesn't much like him atleast that what he showed him because he can't smell anything like hatred or dislike from him so that's good right? well he was a father so he might not want to just let any jerk to date his princess, maybe be that's why he was distance himself but asking all kinds of questions to him.
arnav really doesn't mind asking anything from kushi father he gladly answer, he loves her so there is nothing to hide from him! well except for him being supernatural. oh! he is side tracking right, well he was happy to talk normally with Kushi after her discovering about him being warewolf, they had good time he really loved it.
so when they got to college arnav was hugging kushi, delighted to have her in his arms it's like heaven to have a mate within reach and have lungful of her smell he just wished he can mark her and take her with him to home but her being human that's little bit problem because if she was wolf she would be shifted to his room by now.
well that's not a problem because he can wait for her to adjust him and spend time with each other, to get to know themselves more. he knows just because them being mate doesn't meant everything because they need work their relationship, the mate think help to find a perfect half of your bit that don't necessarily mean they can have the picture perfect life, no, they need to get to know each other first and kushi, he cant tell how much he already love with her.
as she being his mate, he loves her without doubt but of he was human then also he would have fallen for her.
arnav felt really relaxed, he just want to be stay with kushi in his arms but suddenly she was ripped from his, for a minute he felt panicked but seeing it's just his friends he clammed.
what they did next was not really good idea because he was irritated and frustrated about not being with kushi they were taking so much time to return yet. aman was talking some shit he don't care about but when they went in the room for the First Class and found Kushi was absent he was about to storm out to find Kushi bit nk said they will be coming back soon and he talked to advika so he sat down.
he can't help but to wonder what they are talking about, hope it's nothing too much for kushi to handle because he really don't want her to scared of him for something they said but he hope Reva controled other two crazy girl exceptionally greshma who can talk about everything without caring. that girl sometimes he is scared of her.
it's not like he dont trust them with kushi but he just don't trust them to not fill Kushi head with bull shot, you get what he was saying right? whatever.
arnav leaned back in chair completely relaxed as he saw kushi coming behind advika almost like hiding and seeing the proffesor, maybe expecting some scolding which is not happening not when the proffesor was the member of the pack and respected as future Luna.
that's aside Kushi smiled at him and sat beside his empty chair beside him giving a big smile arnav too returns it.
" kushi are you okay, they dont scare you right " arnav asked
"nope nothing like that they just wanted to know if im okay with all this mate thing thats all " kushi answered
" well are you okay about being my mate? " arnav felt nervous as f now, it's silly to even feel that way but he can't help it what if she changed her mind, right?
" yes im otherwise i won't be sitting beside you right " kushi answered, and she smiled making him relaxed in his seat.
" and arnav aren't you going to mark me?." kushi asked as she ran her through her neck.
arnav can feel his head almost snapped as he turned to kushi to see her creasing her neck, he don't know what to do all he wanted to do is jump on the offer now but he can't, just this morning he promised himself to not to mark her until she is comfortable and knows fully about them but seeing her asking for he can almost feel his canis extending with venom in it ready to mark the mate.
arnav gripped the bench with his hands almost his nails digging into it, he can feel the blood from his tongue as he bitten, before he can lose the remaining control of himself or rather his wolf in front of class he sprinted to the door he needs to get out here as soon as possible, away from Kushi.
* why are you going away from our mate, we need to mark her as our, even she asked herself * akin screamed at him
* no she don't know what she is asking for just because we want to mark her that doesn't not mean we have to, she probably won't even know its forever after the marking * arnav answered as calmly as he can as he ran full speed to forest side.
* so what? kushi our mate, she is supposed to be with her forever * akin almost sounded cocky to him making arnav angry at him
* that doesn't give us right to do as we wish with her, even though we are her soulmate, she is her own person first, she needs to clearly understand what she is getting into. we just her like days before, for us it's normal to love our mate and be with them, to mark, mate and have pups but kushi still new to this world and I'm not going to force her into something even she may know what she is doing I want her to be sure and if you utter one word to convince me otherwise I don't know what I will do * arnav was little bit harsh on last part.
arnav felt bad as akin fell into silence. he knew wolf sometimes can be childish, possessive and have somewhat sensitive when come to mates but arnav really dont need akin to say something and him to turn around to mark kushi, he is away from college and he just want clam down a little from all the adrenaline rush just by one sentence from Kushi mouth.
kushi felt scared as she followed arnav outside as soon as she comes out of the shock.
what does this mean? why did arnav ran away from her?
from what she learned markings once mate is like ultimate goal when you find your mate, so why did arnav ran away from her? is she not good enough for him, his wolf or is it a problem that she is human? did arnav don't want to mark her because she can't do it to him?
so many questions and no answer because the one who had to answer is running away from her. when she asked about markings she expected his to turn on or to give her a dark eyes almost like akin is in the verge of breaking out then pulling her out of the class to make out with her against wall or somewhere and then mark her but no of all the things he did was run away from her leaving behind the hurt feelings in her heart that tobbing and squeezes time to time.
Kushi angrily wiped her tears that rolled down from eyes, no! she dont want cry not without knowing the reason why he did that but it still hurt.
kushi cursed arnav for his super strength as he ran at his full speed making kushi herself ran behind him literally behind him, like if they were in running race with five others and kushi would be the last running as arnav is at winning point that fast. she thanked the God for the flats she wore today.
kushi stopped at the entrance of like bundle of trees starting to appear which make called Forest.
can't arnav choose better place than this,like bathroom would made better place and save all the running right. what if she lost her way in this and became meal to some wild animals it better be worth it otherwise she is going to hunt her mate for God promise.
kushi sighed as she saw a male figure, that she was searching sitting not more than few feet away from her.
"arnav kushi screamed as she ran to him
"Kushi what are you doing here arnav dared to ask her
"what I'm doing here, what the hell are you doing here, I had to follow you for whatever reason you ran away from me kushi said jokingly trying to lighten the mood a bit
"no I didn't ran away from you arnav started to which kushi raised her eyebrow, you better be telling the truth about that. arnav face looked like he just realized how it might looked like and his became wild
"kushi oh goddess, it not like that I didn't run away from you I'm sorry to make you feel like that I real don't mean to please you have to believe me he crawled to her in his knees, he held her hands as he apologized her again and again. kushi can't help but to feel powerful and the hurt feeling from heart started to disappear.
"okay I believe you but now can you say why did you run like your tail was on fire kushi joked
"well when you asked to mark you I almost lost control over so I had to get away from there as soon as possible arnav creased her hand with his thumb tightening the his hold.
"but why did you have to come alone if you almost lost control as in to mark me you should be brought me with you right kushi asked
"that's because you don't know what you asked for kushi
" what you mean I don't know what I asked for, I do know what it means greshma and others explained me kushi lied about that because she don't know much but she knew well enough to ask for it.
"but kushi, marking means forever you can't reject me after that you will be stick with me until I die no matter what that's why I want to give you choice to choose wisely, don't worry about me I will wait for you until your ready come the answer
" arnav listen to clearly and closely I will tell you once and only once, I know markings means forever and believe me or not I want forever with you kushi said in her most no nonsense voice she ever used " and about my choice I know I have choice now to choose and I already chosen you so can you please be wise and mark me already kushi ordered
kushi watched as arnav face changed with emotions first there was scared look then the nervous, concentration when she asked for him to listen and her most favorite one is when told him she choosen him, his face light up like Christmas tree and his eyes were shining with, are they tears and his mouth muttering something that she didn't heard until he pulled her into hug so tight that she can't even breath properly.
' I Love You ' repeated into her hairs. yep that's how she received her first confection...
