Ab Kya Kare?

RECAP: Suryaban, a little softly asks yet seriously: Beta…tum waha khush toh ho na.

Kripa surprised at the question remain silent for a while then asked slowly: Dad…aap aise kyun pooch rahe hai? Kya baat hai? <She looks up at Angad who at the same time looks at her and she looks away.> Of course main yahan khush hoon dad. Don't worry I'm totally happy here.

Kripa: Angad aap kitne dare se yaha par hi…

He cut her mid-sentence. He walked towards her.

Angad (while walking): Don't get any ideas. Main yaha phone ki rakh-wali kar raha tha.

Kripa confused: Rakhwali?

Angad: (He stated this as if it's obvious) Haan. Obviously. Mujhe kya pata ke tum phone ko kharab karogi ya nahin. Main isiliye yaha tha ke tumhe dekh saku…I mean haan tumhe dekh saku ke kahin tum phone ko damage na kardo.

Part 16

Kripa kept her smile inside her. Sometimes Angad tried to be angry and all negative related towards her but when he didn't mean it he could hardly even act being that way that's why he always ended up sounding like a boy. Kripa just handed him the phone and he purposely went looking around the phone 'to see' if there were any damages yet or not. Kripa couldn't keep it inside so she giggled to herself but when Angad looked down at her he asked her 'What are you laughing at?' Kripa had obviously stopped when he looked at her so she shook her head 'Kuch nahin.' Angad left her room. After a few minutes Kripa went outside her room. She went to Angad's room first, he wasn't there. She went and knocked on Prithvi's door. 'Prithvi neeche ajao. Dinner's ready. Come soon!' Before she went she heard him call from inside 'Yah okay!'

She ran down the stairs (not exactly run but you know go the down the stairs very fast sometimes it's like you are going down jumping in the air-I hope you got it). She reached and saw Angad lying on the couch listening to music with a cow boy's hat on his face. She went and stood near him. 'Angad?' she called.

Angad: Hhhmmm (he said that indicating her to speak (continue) and that he was listening).

Kripa: Thanks Angad.

Angad knew she really meant it. That was obvious. And he had actually phoned her parents on purpose as it had been long time ago when she last talked to them and he knew that she was feeling lonely as his parents weren't at home also and Prithvi was busy and……and of course he wasn't her friend! So Angad just simply nodded and held his hand up and indicated her to go away (you know just like some people do o waiters or other people like they held up their hand and shake it to indicate the other person to go-it's not VERY polite actually). She was too happy about the phone thing that she didn't felt disappointed at that moment. After she left, under the cow boy's hat a smile had crept on someone's face without them knowing it.

Kripa was setting the table while Prithvi came down. He sat on the chair. While Kripa was setting the table she signaled him, with her eyes and face expressions only, to call Angad. Prithvi went to Angad and he tried to annoy Angad then after a while he called him for dinner.

Angad, who was sitting on the sofa now, with a hint of attitude said: 'Jisne khana banaya hai woh bulaye! '

Prithvi was a little surprised that he just asked for Kripa to come to him.

Prithvi reluctantly did what he was supposed to.

Kripa took a heavy breathe and thought to herself 'Aajkal Angad ko ho kya gaya hai? He's acting odd nowadays. Lekin kyun?'

Kripa went to him; he was lying on the sofa, staring at the ceiling. Kripa, with a hint of sarcasm: Aap abhi tashirf layenge zara?

Angad didn't move, he just moved his eyeballs to look at her, he moved one of his eyebrows up. She had delivered the message and she left. She sat down at the table. Prithvi started eating and Angad just came and sat on the table. He didn't start eating. She didn't eat either. He was sitting opposite her and Prithvi was sitting on side (like not next to Angad or Kripa but you know like the seat in between them, like the head seat of the table, I hope you got that). Angad leaned back on his chair, folded his arms across his chest and looked at Kripa. Kripa realized later that he was looking at her, she started to feel uncomfortable, why on earth was he starring at her? , she was wondering.

Angad: Tum khana kyun nahin kha rahi?

Kripa realized he was talking to her: Aap kyun nahin kha rahe?

He raised an eyebrow: Main khao ja na khao, what's the problem?

Kripa looked sideway then back at him; Mujhe acha nahin lagta ke main khao jab saab nahin kha rahe hote.

Angad nodded with his eyebrow still raised, it was a sarcastic nod, he nodded knowingly: Okkaayyy (he said slowly)…or agar main na khao toh?

She looked at him, he grinned then she looked away: Toh main bhi nahin khao gi.

Prithvi knew they both were talking but he didn't concentrating on them, he had no idea what they were talking about, he just saw their facial expressions and their lips moving, they were actually a little unusual but he didn't care at the moment. He was lost somewhere else, perhaps in his own world.

He grinned then stopped rocking his chair and started eating, while glancing at Kripa every and each second. After a while she started eating, she tried avoiding looking at him. Prithvi finished quick and took a plate and helped himself with the custard, the dessert, and took it upstairs into his room with him. Angad and Kripa were left alone. No one talked. After a while Kripa stood up and took the dishes with her. Angad helped himself with 2 spoons of custard. She put the dishes inside and went outside to get the big bowl of custard; she put it in the refrigerator. She started doing the washing up and out of no where a photo came in front of her. She was shocked to see the photo; she looked up and was even more shocked to see Angad. The shock on her face was obvious. She slowly turned and looked straight….and actually the sink was there so she was staring at the sink(is 'basin' an English word, if yes than I mean to say 'basin sink' or simply 'basin'), many thoughts were going throght her mind. He had took away the photo but it was still in his hands. He stood there right next to her, boring his eyes into her while she stood there staring into…..no where. Suddenly she figured out that whatever was up with Angad lately hadn't been odd of him besides the whole Kripa-getting-hurt-thing, the way Angad acted and everything, it wasn't odd of him. Everything he had done had every bit of sarcasm in it. Whatever she thought that it was odd of him actually had been full of sarcasm.

Look out for: .....The photo?... STAY TUNED!!!

Hey just to make things a little clear: Kripa's wrist is feeling a little better now so she can eat and write normally-it just hurts a little. The second thing is that, Angad had acred when Kripa had got hurt and all but besides everything related to that injury he had every bit of sarcasm in his behavior towards her.

I hope you all liked it……well I guess it's about time to get serious now…and I mean ACTUALLY serious! I hope you all comment…thought I guess it's short but I hope you all still like it.
