Shucks man, when there is an update and you can't get to it peacefully!!!!

Kalpana your menu sounds fantastic, I especially love white pumpkin kootu and the kadugu manga oorha, I always find this pickle to be wayyy les spicy than than avakai

I HATE spicy things.

I love our festivals so much food

Happy New Year everybody!

My menu was very basic-because I was the one cooking😆

We normally do the paruppu vadai for New Years not the urad vadai. And I made payasam - nothing else.🤔

Lovely conversation between the dads...I like how they are trying to sort things out with a lighter hand. I hope Teeku goes to visit her house during Meeta's delivery-that might help prod the two of them further along. 😆

OMG Sonal its like 3:30 in India and you are awake?

Kala, good deal... hey sweet is all that matters, at least to me😛

It will never be like how it is in India, but we continue to fool ourselves that it is

I worry if my kids will even know about the Tamil calendar and care to follow it. I want them to... really really badly

But here in the USA it is so easy to not bother doing anything for festivals because "who is going to know?" "Who cares" etc

In like 50 years, panagam and neer mor etc will be all gone

I usually make vempamboo tayir pachadi (neem buds yogurt raita) this year I forgot to arrange for it and hence I missed it too

I feel bad when I dont do something exactly like my Mom does

I am unable to get over that feeling

Happy new year everyone!
Yummy food, Nisha & EN! I asked my mil to take it easy and do just paruppu payasam. But she also made veppampoo pachidi, panagam & neer mor. I was surprised she heeded to me and didn't make vadais, first time in years.

The menu looks yummy although I don't know any of the food mentioned 😉
Nisha my kids became night owls in the weakened and I am not able to sleep until they are so that's why I was awake until that late...

Bout the update I loved the bonding of the dads... they both seems so real and genuine and family man despite of the cultural differences..,
And yes teeku go give him back and don't allow him to have his way every time with you
