Last part:
Roshni had left the house after that conversation with Siddharth.
He was left to think of Roshni's words. What did she mean by people change because of pain and sometimes because of love?
Was she talking about him or perhaps somebody else?
"What are you hiding from me Roshni?", He asked himself.
He was somehow determined to find out any way now.
On the other side, Roshni was walking and thinking of the letters.
She was desperate to read all the letters. It made her feel better about herself.
It made her feel better about HIM.
However she didn't want to stay here anymore. It was a pain for her.
She decided to book a ticket for her to go back to Switzerland.
Roshni always did things without thinking and this was one of them.
There was still that rapid fire inside her growing and growing, eventually getting bigger ready to explode any moment now.
However she wanted to learn how to control her emotions but who can control the hearts emotions other than the heart?
They both wanted to talk to each other so badly. They both wanted to ask each other questions.
Roshni was walking quite slow and Siddharth decided to go and follow her.
"Roshni wait up", he called out to her.
Roshni sighed and gained courage to talk to him.
"What do you want? I don't want to talk to you..", Roshni replied.
"Oh hello, I've no interest in talking to you either", he retorted.
"Then why are you here?".
"I need to ask you something", Siddharth defended himself.
"Okay go on", she felt nervous.
"Roshni, do you still remember what you said to me years ago when you were about to leave...you told me that no matter what happens you'll always be there for me", he continued on causing Roshni to get emotional.
Of course she remembered, she recalled every word between them.
"You told me that even if one day we're far apart, we'll always be kept together somehow", he slowly walked towards her.
"Siddharth I...", She got interrupted.
"Shhh", Siddharth whispered.
"I've listened to you talk enough, now hear me out".
Roshni couldn't help but look deep into his eyes while he was talking. He didn't even stop gazing at her for one second.
He took her hand and rubbed his fingers on it softly, just like he would do ages ago.
He stood silent for a second just looking at her and touching her hand.
"Just what I needed", he smiled.
"You haven't changed one bit".
Roshni's eyes just widened. She was so confused. What was he doing? Did he suddenly not believe her?
"What's my fault?", He nearly got emotional.
"I've been waiting for you, for the past five years and now you tell me you don't want to be friends anymore. Just tell me what I did? Or at least tell me what's been going on with you.", He tested her.
"Siddharth stop it, stop your drama", she said as loud as she could.
"Just because you somehow talk loud to me doesn't change the fact that I know you're lying to me".
Siddharth suddenly tightened his grip on her hand.
"Siddharth leave me!", She begged him as he dragged her across the road to his house.
"Siddharth please!", She continued pleading.
He was absolutely furious with her. Not because she ended their friendship or anything but because she was hiding something from him for the first time.
He brought her to his room.
He took out the box of letters, that Roshni was reading moments ago and told Roshni to read all of them.
Roshni didn't want to read it in front of him. She knew she was going to break down if she read the letters.
Siddharth saw that she was hesitating and took out the letters himself and started to read it. Roshni sat down on the bed.
"15th May, it's been exactly three years today since you left, but there's hasn't been one moment where I didn't remember you. Walking on the beach everyday, sitting in my room, writing to you, all this makes me feel so close to you. I don't know why I can't seem to get rid of you from my mind or heart but what I do know is that I don't even want to. I hate the fact you're not here. I hate the fact you're so far away. One day when I meet you again, I'll complain a lot to you for not sending me anything. You know what I miss most about you? Your laugh, the way you'd nearly laugh on everything. That big smile you have and your cheeks go red. Everytime I think of you smiling, it makes me feel a sense of satisfaction"
Moving on to the next letter he again started "23rd December, my birthday. I'm 18! I remember planning out exactly what we'd do first when we reached eighteen and finally became an adult. It's not fair we didn't get to do it together. Mom planned a huge party for me, but it's still not that exciting because you're not here. I guess people are right when they say, you only realise how much a person is worth when they go away. You are hereby the best thing that's ever happened to me. Just thinking of you makes me feel so lucky."
Roshni was in tears. She lowered her eyes and as she did, tears would start streaming down her face. She was so close to losing it.
Siddharth was both her biggest strength but also her biggest weakness. She was surprised. She had never seen this side of him before.
He'd never talk about his feelings like this, but now that he's doing it, Roshni can't help but think if she was wrong.
Siddharth couldn't see her cry, but he smiled at that time. Seeing her in tears, he smiled because he knew that his Roshni was slowly coming back to him.
"Is it really that much to ask to have my best friend back?", He layed down putting his head on her lap.
Roshni lifted up her hands to run her fingers through his hair, but she was shaking. She didn't know if she should.
"It's not his fault. Why am I behaving like this to him? What's wrong with me?", She asked herself repeatedly.
She wiped her tears and lifted his head up. Siddharth pulled himself up and sat beside her.
Roshni finally gave him that sweet laugh that he waiting to see. "I'm so sorry Siddharth", she apologized sincerely.
Siddharth cupped her face and he slowly moved the strand of her hair to the side behind her ear causing her to shiver by his touch.
Roshni pulled him into a tight hug. The much needed hug was finally occuring between them.
Siddharth surrounded her by his arms, which made Roshni feel nothing but warm and secure.
Roshni dug her head into his neck. "Koi baat nahi Siddharth, I'll always be your friend no matter what or who comes into your life".
She gave in to him. Her feelings, everything was still there but she knew, no matter how much she tried their friendship was too strong.
They continued hugging each other for a long time before Siddharth's eyes shot open.
He suddenly pulled away.
"One minute, you still haven't told me why you did this".
"Oh no", Roshni dreaded this.
"Some people change by love and some by pain...", He quoted her.
"What do you mean?".
"Siddharth chodo na, that doesn't matter now, what matters is that we're friends again".
Siddharth could clearly see that glitch, that sense of nervousness on her face.
"Come on Roshni. You know what? I think I know what it is".
"You do?", Roshni was hoping he didn't.
"Yeah I do. Some idiot broke your heart or something right?", Deep inside he was hoping she'd deny it.
Roshni tried to make words with her mouth but she couldn't.
She didn't know how to react.
"Siddharth actually, yeah someone broke my heart", technically she knew she wasn't lying to him.
Siddharth felt something break on the inside of him.
"This means she had a boyfriend, who she probably loved", Siddharth thought.
"Roshni, itni si baat hain? Bata nahi sakti ti? Okay tell me, what's his name? I'll break him for breaking your heart", he got overprotective.
"Siddharth I don't want to talk about it please", Roshni pouted.
"Okay okay".
Suddenly Roshni got a call.
"Hello ma'am your ticket to Switzerland has been booked, please come to collect it", the woman from the office said.
"Okay thank you", she hanged up the
phone.
She fiddled with her hands, not knowing how to tell Siddharth she was leaving.
He was going to be fuming, she just came and now she's leaving him again.
"Everything okay?", Siddharth noticed her worried face.
"Yeah actually I have some work left in Switzerland and I have to finish it", she somehow made an excuse.
Roshni looked at him who was confused at the point.
"Matlab?", Siddharth hoped she wasn't saying what he think she was saying.
"Matlab I've to go back tomorrow", she blurted out.
Siddharth blinked.
--------
--------
--------
SILENCE.
"Okay then", Siddharth took a deep breath.
"Th..That's it?", Roshni asked weirdly.
"Yeah why?", Siddharth faked a smile.
"Okay then? I thought you'd be furious".
"Nope not at all", Siddharth lied. Of course he was burning inside.
How could she just leave?
Roshni wanted to leave. She wanted to stay with him, but at the same time she knew some day or another she'd end up expressing her feelings and that would completely ruin their friendship.
"I've to go", Roshni said and Siddharth bid her goodbye.
Roshni shook her head in disbelief while leaving.
"Everything's changed. Why is everything so weird between us?", They both thought to themselves.
Everything was so much more awkward. Maybe they weren't destined to be friends anymore...
Siddharth clenched his teeth. "Aargh", he screamed.
"Why does she always leave me?", He complained.
DD house:
Roshni sat at home.
She was so upset and bewildered at the same time.
Everything was supposed to at least be better now. She befriended Siddharth again thinking it would be easier but no.
Something had changed between them. She could feel it. The atmosphere wasn't right.
It was almost as if they couldn't be friends anymore.
She reminsced the way Siddharth touched her hands with his soft delicate hands.
The way he rubbed it, the way he touched her face and looked directly into her eyes. It was the first she had seen a little sparkle in his eyes.
The way he put his head on her lap. Why did he do that?
All these things unknowingly made her blush.
She walked around her bedroom thinking about him, thinking about how he trusted her. Thinking about how he made her anger melt and how they hugged each other, how his strong arms was placed on her neck.
She felt like she was going crazy. Just when she wanted to get rid of him in her heart, she ended up loving him more.
Experiencing his touch left her completely mesmerized.
BUMP.
"Owww", she screamed.
She had tripped over her phone charger and fell.
Her mom rushed up the stairs.
She was crying.
Khurana house:
Siddharth was no less. He was smiling like crazy to himself, but every time he'd think of her he'd also think of the fact that she's leaving.
He was so tempted to call her and convince her to stay.
Suddenly his phone started ringing. It was from the hospital.
He picked it up.
"Roshni", he ran out.
Hospital:
Roshni was at the hospital suffering her leg.
She couldn't hold in the pain.
"Siddharth is coming don't worry", DD assured her.
Roshni pouted "No mom I don't want Siddharth, he's going to laugh at me and call me clumsypants"
DD laughed. "Relax Roshni, you're not teenagers anymore".
Siddharth came storming in. "What the hell Roshni, are you blind?"
Roshni was surprised seeing his reaction. "Siddharth I...".
"Shut up", Siddharth came over and made her lie down on the bed.
DD went out of the room leaving them alone.
He lifted her leg and placed it on his so he could treat it properly.
"Siddharth please be careful".
"Do you trust me?", He asked this softly.
"More than anything", she gazed at him.
Siddharth wanted to make sure she was relaxed. Seeing her in pain hurted him.
He started massaging her leg and did it in such a way that soothed her slowly.
She felt so chilled. She knew she could trust him.
"How do you feel now?", He asked concernly.
"It's better now", Roshni tried to smile and calm herself.
Siddharth's touch was distracting her from the pain.
She was so lost into him. He just wanted to make her feel better.
Suddenly someone came in and Roshni's face went completely dull.
"Sid, we need you for a second to check some reports", she said.
"Yeah okay I'll be there, can you do me a favour and stay here with Roshni?", Siddharth asked Kashi to which she nodded yes.
Roshni didn't want her to stay here.
Siddharth went away and Kashi sat beside Roshni making sure she was okay.
Moments of awkward silence had passed on.
"Soo, I've heard a lot about you over the years. Siddharth always talked about you".
Roshni forced a smile. She didn't want to answer her whatsoever.
She was really hell bent on ignoring her but she knew that'd be rude.
"Yeh", Roshni replied coldly.
"How long have you guys known each other?", Roshni was curious.
"About 1 year", she answered back.
"I bet he's a good boyfriend", Roshni was burning inside.
Kashi stammered. "B..boyfriend? He's not my boyfriend".
Roshni's head shot up.
"WHAT?".
She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Was she talking to the wrong girl? Or was she wrong that night? She couldn't help but wonder on.
"Yeah me and Siddharth are just friends", Kashi sweetly said.
"But that day, at the party you two were together dancing.."
"Oh that was all me. Actually everyone had a date so I decided to bring him as my date. However he had told me clearly it was only for that night", she cleared everything.
She could see Roshni's reactions and even she knew by her expressions that Roshni loved him and had misunderstood him.
Roshni took a deep breath. She tensed her hands and her whole body making her nerves and veins knot up.
"You have got to be kidding me", she whispered.
She was so shocked. She didn't know what to do. Was she going to tell him the truth?
"I think you should tell him", Kashi said.
"What do you mean?", Roshni widened her eyes.
"Come on, it's so obvious you love him..and trust me I'm completely sure he has feelings in some way for you too", saying this she left as Siddharth came back.
Roshni was left with Kashi's words repeatedly going through her head like a nonstop CD.
"Heyy, you okay", Siddharth held her hand.
"Yeah I'm fine now", Roshni didn't just mean this physically but also mentally.
"I have good news. Actually aunty was talking to mom and they both decided to let you stay over at my house tonight", Siddharth gave her one of the best news ever.
"Really Siddharth? I'm so happy!!!!", She squealed.
She hugged Siddharth and he embraced her back.
As her leg was still paining, he picked her up walking down in front of everyone staring at them and placed her in the car to go home. Roshni looked at him lovingly.
Siddharth kissed her on her forehead.
"Don't worry Roshni, you'll get better".
"I know I will, cuz you're there with me", she said quietly.
Siddharth heard this and grinned.
He got into the car and so they went home.
It was quite late and Siddharth brought her straight to his room. He pulled the curtains, turned off the lights.
Roshni knew exactly what he was going to do.
They'd always do this when they were young, and then they would watch horror movies all night.
Siddharth put on a scary movie and lied down beside Roshni on the bed.
Halfway through the movie, they were clutching onto each other.
A part came where Roshni got scared and tightened her grip on Siddharth's shirt.
"Noo", she screamed.
Siddharth laughed at her and comforted her.
They both looked at each other, it was dark but both their eyes were shimmering with brightness.
Their hands entertwined together, causing their finger to rest on top of each others.
They stopped paying attention to the movie that was going on.
Roshni pulled herself up and Siddharth slowly leaned in.
They didn't know what they were doing but they were so close, there was no stopping now.
His other hand slowly made his way up her neck touching her bone making her tingle a little.
Roshni was breathing heavily. She felt fireflies running through her stomach.
She kept her hand on his hand that was resting on her face.
He leaned in closer and closer and she also did the same.
They were barely apart. They were so close that they could feel each others body pressed against each others
He breathed and blowed softly on her face making her shiver.
Their foreheads tensed and their heartbeats were running high.
Siddharth closed his eyes and took the liberty of making the first move.
Roshni's eyes stayed open and she was looking at him in such a way that she has never before.
This was finally happening.
His lips slowly came closer, and as it touched hers their tongue slid against each others kissing each other.
Siddharth continued kissing her and she gave in.
She kissed back as passionately as she could.
She took out all her frustration and all her love in that one kiss.
Siddharth held her face tightly as they kissed unable to control themselves.
Siddharth kissed her cheeks, her forehead and left wet soft kisses on her neck.
She swallowed hard, and her hands clutched his hair.
She was breathing hard and he was kissing her neck so fast that they were losing complete control over each other.
He felt so lucky to be kissing her. He too took out all his anger and love in one kiss.
Suddenly his eyes opened and he realised what he was doing.
Roshni looked at him and let go of him slowly.
They both looked down to their own space and moved apart.
They didn't know what to say, they didn't have to at this point they both knew how they felt about each other.
"Siddharth", Roshni whispered in his ears making him feel seduced.
"I can't Roshni, I can't", he got up.
Roshni got up and came over. "Why not?".
"You're leaving tomorrow, I can't go through the pain I went through years ago again".
Roshni embraced him. "I'm never leaving you again. And this time I mean it."
Siddharth hugged her back as tight as he could.
They both felt a sense of rush up their body and veins that they didn't have words for.
They just knew they had to be together now.
There was no stopping or controlling now.
They both accepted their feelings.
They slowly let go and smiled at each other.
"I", Roshni started.
"I", Siddharth repeated.
"Love", they both said at the same time.
"You..I love you", they said out.
Roshni felt like jumping out of joy at this point. All her feelings jingled up and she didn't know what to do. She wanted to hug him, kiss him, and talk to him forever.
"Siddharth I have always loved you. I've loved you when we were eight years old, I've loved you when we were ten , I've loved you when we were fifteen and I still love you. Every day I've spent in Switzerland wasn't easy for me. But your memories always made it easier. The truth is, I wanted to tell you the moment I came here, but at the party I saw you and Kashi and I totally lost my mind".
Siddharth now understood what she was going through.
He couldn't help but laugh at her naiveness.
"Tum pagal ho Roshni. You were always my one and only. Some people change by pain and some by love. That makes much more sense now", he reassured her.
"I don't ever want to go away from you again.", He expressed.
"Memories are not enough now. I need you. You're not just a desire now, you're also a need. All my life I have thought of what it will be like when I love a girl one day. How would I have known that the girl was right in front of me. I also want to confess something. I always had feelings for you, I just never paid attention to it. But the moment you walked away from my life was the moment I actually felt a part of me going away. It was those moments I've spent over the years thinking about and realising that I love you. Kehte hain na, if you love someone and they're yours, they will definitely come back and look mine came back", he smiled.
Roshni admired him and cupped his face walking in.
They dug themselves in closer and desires ran high with pleasure.
Her breaths hitched as Siddharth kissed her again.
Roshni backed away until she hit the wall and Siddharth used the wall as support leaning in and kissing Roshni. They didn't stop for even a second.
He was making the most glorious touches on her body at the same time.
Letting his fingers play around her waist while she circled her hands around his neck pulling him closer and closer.
He gently licked her upper lips making her flutter with happiness. She was no less.
She let her emotions take control and she started kissing him all over his neck while Siddharth enjoyed it immensely.
She started feeling dizzy but it was the good kind. Both their faces were intense.
Her neck and his neck were both filled with love signs.
Siddharth stepped closer which he didn't think was possible.
"OUCH", Roshni complained, as her leg hurted her.
"Sorry sorry", Siddharth forgot about her leg.
"I'm kidding", she laughed and ran while Siddharth catched her by her waist.
Their romance was slowly unraveling.
When Roshni looked at him, she saw that Siddharth was taking in her sweet fragrance.
Every part of her body was transformed with his kisses.
She was glad seeing this side of him.
He was creating magic, she didn't feel the slightest bit of discomfort.
All she felt was his touch and his sweet lips.
Her chest was pounding.
She ruffled his hair while his fingers was on her belly.
He kept on getting closer, making Roshni fall back on the bed.
He slowly went on top and kissed her bellybutton. They were both fighting for control.
Roshni was holding on strongly while Siddharth's slowly made his way up to her chest.
Roshni blushed and turned around.
Siddharth smiled and kissed her ear. He lifted the tip of her chin and kissed it.
"I love you Roshni", he was intoxicated by her touch.
"I love you too", she replied hugging him while they were still on the bed.
Five years later:
"I want everything perfect", Siddharth was talking on the phone.
He was home and was preparing to leave.
He had a bouquet of flowers in his hands and a present box in the other.
He got in to his car and drove to Roshni's house.
Roshni was waiting for him.
"Happy valentine's Day sweetheart", Roshni greeted him with a kiss.
"Happy valentine's Day", Siddharth said as he kissed her back.
He handed her the flowers and the presents.
Roshni was really happy. She didn't need anything special except for his love.
"Where are we going?", Roshni hated surprises.
"Surprise baby surprise", he winked at her.
A few moments later they arrived at the beach beside Siddharth's house.
He blindfolded Roshni.
"Siddharth.."
"Shhh, I'm here, open your eyes when I tell you to".
He walked her over and told her to slowly open her eyes.
Roshni was shocked as she looked around.
There were flowers, roses all around the sand. Everything was so beautiful, the blue bright sea was surrounded by roses and a table ready for them to eat.
"This place has many memories Roshni and this is the place where I want to ask you something very important",
Siddharth hugged her from behind and softly kissed the tip of her neck.
Roshni turned around to him. "Thank you, it's so beautiful".
Siddharth walked on to the table, holding Roshni's hands.
There was a box placed on the table.
As soon as Roshni saw it, she freaked out.
"Omg Siddharth are you going to..", she jumped with joy.
She had already started to get emotional.
He leaned down on his knees and kissed her hands.
"Roshni Patel you are the best thing that's ever happened to me. Never has there been a moment where I've felt incomplete when I'm with you. You make me feel complete. You are honestly all I could ever ask for. Will you marry me?".
Roshni couldn't help but cried and continued looking at him.
"Are you sure, you're ready to put up with me?", She joked while laughing and crying at the same time.
"Actually I should be asking you that question", he teased her back.
"Yes I will marry you my pagal boyfriend".
Siddharth got up and twirled her around.
They were both on top of the world. They indulged themselves into a deep kiss and a day full of romance.
