Chapter 10

After hearing the voice, those goons immediately turns towards the source of sound along with Naina.

Naina takes a sigh of relief as she finds Rajveer standing in front of her.

"Rajveer sir"

she says, more like a whisper. Her eyes conveys how helpless she must be feeling and as Rajveer meets her eyes, he reads how her eyes are begging him for help.

His heart clenches as he sees her in this condition. His right hand turns into a fist as he sees those goons touching her. How dare they touch his Naina?

"Choro isse"

says Rajveer again out of anger and his eyes conveys nothing but fire that might vanish everyone.

One goon, leaving Naina, comes up to Rajveer and pushes him off slightly.

"Kyun bey? Tu kon hai or iska kya lagta hai?"

as the goon asks this question, Rajveer's other hand makes a fist as well. Not thinking about anything, he gets a hold of the collar of the goon.

"Mein iska jo koi bhi lagta hoon, lekin ye tumhari kuch bhi nahi lagti so, before I send you to the hospital, leave her"

yells Rajveer out of rage. The anger in his eyes doesn't just scare the goons, but Naina as well to some extent.

"Nahi chorenge! Kya kar lega tu?"

yells the other goon who is still holding Naina by her arm.

All this time, Naina has forgotten about her condition as she has seen Rajveer's anger. But, the goon's voice takes her back to reality so, she starts to get out of their hold again.

Hearing this, Rajveer immediately leaves the collar of the goon and rushes towards Naina. Pulling her out of their grip, he hides her to his back and immediately, he starts hitting those people.

"Himmat kaise hui tumhari Naina ko chune ki?"

yells Rajveer as he throws a punch on the face of one of the goons.

A shiver goes down Naina's spine as she watches the scene in front of her. The rage in his eyes and the intensity in his voice succeeds in sending shivers down her spine. When she told him the truth about the reason of his father's suicide, even then he wasn't angry to this extent. Today. she has seen a totally different Rajveer.

"Rajveer!! Choriye inhe, bus kijiye"

yells Naina as she sees how terribly Rajveer is beating the goons without realising. As Rajveer hears Naina calling him just "Rajveer", he immediately stops and looks towards her.

As he stops hitting the goons, the goons gets a opportunity to escape. And finally, getting out of Rajveer's grip, they run away from there. Now are left Rajveer and Naina.

Staring her throughout, Rajveer immediately rushes towards Naina. Reaching up to her, he holds her by her shoulders.

"Tum theek ho Naina?"

he questions her with a concerned voice.

Hearing his concern for her, a lone of tear escapes from Naina's eyes. She lowers her gaze right away.

"Mein theek hoon! Agar aap time per Nahi aate toh..."

Naina starts speaking but gets cut off by Rajveer's grip, which is getting tight on her shoulders. As he hears those words and thinks about the consequences, he isn't able to control himself.

"Kuch nahi hota tumhe. Mein kuch nahi hone dunga. Samjhi tum?"

he yells as he lets go off her shoulders and cups her face between his palms. This causes Naina to lock eyes with him immediately. She gets shocked on finding the possessiveness in his eyes, that too for her.

Naina is the first one to realise what exactly is going on. She lowers her eyes.

"Sir..mein theek hoon"

says Naina stammering

At her words, Rajveer comes back to reality as well. Realising what exactly he is doing, he immediately lets go off Naina's face and stands at a distance from her.

But then, a thought crosses his mind which makes him to look at Naina again, that too with anger.

"Tum itni late office mein kya kar rahi thi? Ghar kyun nahi gayi tum abhi tak?"

he demands an answer out of her.

Naina, who was just picking up her bag from the ground, she shifts her vision back to Rajveer.

"Wo project ka kuch kaam baaki tha toh issi liye wo complete kar rahi thi or uppar se meri car bhi kharab ho gayi"

she replies as she points her finger towards her car. Rajveer tries to calm himself down at this and closes his eyes in order to control his anger.

"Chalo mein tumhe ghar drop kar deta hoon"

he offers to give her a ride.

Naina thinks about it for few seconds. Should she go with him? Sure he helped her a lot today, but she still hasn't forgotten what he did to her. He has hurt her enough and after what she has witnessed today, she better keep her distance from him. If not, she might end up falling in love with him again, which she doesn't want.

"Thanks for all the help sir but it's okay, mein chali jaungi! I'll manage."

replies Naina, not daring to meet his eyes.

Without giving him a chance to reply, Naina starts walking out of the parking lot when suddenly, she stops with a jerk as she finds her wrist being gripped.

Her heartbeat picks up pace as she finds Rajveer holding her wrist with rage in his eyes.

"Maine tumse poocha nahi hai. Gaadi mein ja kar baitho ABHI""

he orders her this time. Naina stays there glued to her spot. When he doesn't find her moving, he basically drags her towards his car and makes her to sit in there.

This time, Naina quietly follows his orders and doesn't protest.

Soon, they start driving. There is complete silence between them. Naina notices something very strange. He didn't even ask her where she lives, and he has started to drive towards her house. How does he know where she lives?

And at that moment, her phone rings. She answers the call.

"Hello"

speaks Naina

"Hello Ma'am, aapke kehne pe humne pata lagwa lia hai ke aapko aapka ghar itne kum rent mein kaise mila or kis insaan ke kehne pe. Us ka naam hai Mr. Rajveer Singh Shekhawat"

speaks the other person on the phone which makes Naina's eyes to widen out of surprise.

Chapter 11

In utter shock, Naina puts the phone down. Her eyes are open wide out of surprise. She looks towards Rajveer who is driving.

"kya aapne mere ghar ka rent kum karwaya tha?"

questions Naina, her voice reflects her anger

Rajveer, who was busy driving, he immidiatly looks towards Naina. His facial expressions chamges and it looks like someone has caught his lies.

"Kya? tumhara dimagh toh theek haina? Ye kya bole ja rahi ho tum?"

replies Rajveer, looking at the front again, ignoring her basically. It is clear that he is lyring.

"mein wohi keh rahi hoon jo sach hai. Kyun kiya aapne aisa?"

Naina yells this time. She does not want anything from anyone, especially from Rajveer, who said so many things about her mother, who didn't let her get a job anywhere else, who created so many problems for her, and who maybe burned her office.

"Mein tumhare kisi bhi sawal ka jawab dena zaroori nahi samajhta"

replies Rajveer as he comtiues driving, completely trying to avoid Naina's questions and her words. Because he knows how stubborn she is.

This doesn't go very well with Naina.

"Stop the car sir"

yells Naina out of her lungs

"what?"

questions Rajveer

"I said stop the damm car"

replies Naina, her voice reflects her anger.

Rajveer's heart skips a beat as he sees the burning rage in her eyes. He immidiately stops the car with a jerk. In no time, grabbing her bag, Naina opens the door and gets out of his car. Not knowing what the hell she is doing, Rajveer also comes out of the car and follows her. Reachng her, he gets a hold of her wrist.

"tumhara dimagh toh theek haina Naina? Sit in the damm car"

yells Rajveer

If he has attitude, she also has one as well. Jerking his hand away, Naina glares at him with full rage. Who the hell is he to control her?

"aap mere boss office mein hain, yahan nahi toh mujhe order dena band kijiye"

replies Naina

This brings up Rajveer's anger level. Grabbing her by her shoulders, he pulls her a bit closer to him.

"Kya chahti ho tum? What the hell do you want?"

he questions her out of anger

"Truth! I want to know the truth, Kyun aapne mere ghar ka rent kum karwaya? hote kon hain aap meri personal life mein interfere karne wale? Nahi chahiye mujhe aapka koi ehsaan"

replies Naina, yelling, jerking his hands away, With that, she takes a step back while she points her index finger towards him.

"aapki madad lene se pehle mein marna pasand karungi"

she yells

And in no time, she calls a taxi. Getting in the taxi, she leaves, leaving a frustrated Rajveer behind. At that moment, he was helpless. He couldn't stop her or do anything. How can he tell her the truth? How can he tell her that he still loves her? How can he tell her that she still holds the power to affect him? No, he will never let his love overpower his hatred towards Naina. She has said many things about his father which he will never forget.

In frustration, he sits in his car and makes his way towards his destination.

Two days has been passed by and Rajveer and Naina have been mostly ignoring each other in the office. Naina has tried to give more rent for the house, but the house owner didn't take it. And when Naina tried moving to a new house, she was restricted by the house owner who said she wasn't allowed to leave the house before a year since she has signed a contract. And if she does, she'll have to pay 10 lakhs. All thanks to Mr. Shekhawat.

Today is the day of the party of their new project's inoguration . For the party, Naina has booked a very beautiful five-star hotel. Alekh has always been there for her when it comes to helping her with anything. Whereas for Maya and the other staff members, they are behaving very rude towards her.

The time of the guests arrival is at 6:30pm and right now, it's 5:50pm and Naina is almost done with the decorations. She still has few minutes to finish the rest. Naina has been asked by Rajveer to order Italian when it comes to dinner. Rajveer has warned her already that everything has to be perfect.

Standing on a high stool, Naina is setting the curtain on the window. Just then, Rajveer suddenly arrives and right at that moment, his gaze fixes on Naina. He sees how hard she is working. She looks all the more beautiful today. He gets mesmerized by her beauty.

He comes out of his trace as he sees her foot slipping from the stool. And before she could fall down, he immidiately runs up to her and Naina falls in his arms.

Naina's eyes are closed out of fear, but then, she finds herself safe. Opening up her eyes, she looks up and her heart skips a beat as she finds herself in Rajveer's arms. They share a very precious eye-contact.

"tum koi kaam dhayan se nahi kar sakti kya?"

he scolds her

This causes Naina to lower her gaze. Rajveer immediately puts her down. Just then, Maya arrives there and she walks towards Rajveer and Naina.

"RS Sir, guests bus das(10) minute mein pohunch rahe hain"

informs Maya

Rajveer comes back to his senses as he hears this and the blood also drains out of Naina's face as she hears this. What the hell?

"sir lekin guests ne toh 6:30 pe aana tha na?"

says Naina out of surprise.

Rajveer looks towards Naina out of anger.

"guests ka arrival 6:00 pe hai Ms. Ahluwalia. Timings chamge kar di gayi thi. Maine khud Maya se bola tha tumhe inform karne ko"

Rajveer scolds her

Naina looks towards Maya, who is smirking at Naina.

"of course sir maine Naina ko khud inform kiya tha par ye hai hi itni la parwah"

says Maya

At this, Rajveer glares at Naina. He finally looks around the entire hotel and finds out that the decorations are actually not completed. Anger takes place in his eyes.

"Mujhe pata hona chahiye tha ke tum koi kaam nahi kar sakti. Mujhe tum par yakeen hi nahi karna chahiye tha. Pata nahi kya sooch kar maine tumhe ye responsibility di"

Rajveer yells at Naina in front of Maya, who is just smirking. He is yelling at her for no reason. Maya never gave Naina any information about the time change of the guests arrival.

Tears are clearly visible in Naina's eyes as Rajveer's words hurts her to pieces.

Chapter 12

Naina gets extremely hurt by Rajveer's words. Even now, he holds the power to hurt her with his words. Naina shuts her eyes in order to hide her tears.

Opening them back up, she looks back towards Rajveer.

"Mujhe das minute dijiye sir, mein sara kuch theek kar dungi"

replies Naina with her shaky voice.

Since there is still 10 minutes left for the guests to arrive, Rajveer doesn't have any excuse not to give her.

"Sirf das minute hain tumhare paas"

pointing his finger towards Naina, Rajveer speaks harshly. In anger, he goes out the doors along with Maya.

That idiot Maya, curses Naina under her breath.

Right away, she starts working, faster than before. She knows it's hard to finish everything in 10 minutes, but it's not impossible.

Since she has been the best one when it comes to arranging parties, Naina is finally able to finish everything in nine minutes, which means there is still a minute left.

Right then, Rajveer walks in with Maya and as he looks around the entire place, his eyes widens. She surly is the best at this, thinks Rajveer, but doesn't bother to complement her.

Soon, the guests arrive along with all the staff members. Rajveer shakes hands with Mr. Mithal and Mr. Mithal starts introducing his business partner to Rajveer.

"Mr. Shekhawat, this is Amardeep Huda, my business partner"

Mr. Mithal says while he points towards a man standing beside him.

Smiling, Amardeep Huda shakes hands with Rajveer.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Huda"

wishes Rajveer shaking Huda's hand.

As Amardeep Huda shakes hands with Rajveer, his gaze falls on Naina, who is standing by the corner talking to Alekh.

Mr. Huda points towards Naina as he looks towards Rajveer.

"Who is she?"

questions Mr. Amardeep Huda with a very intense voice which doesn't go unnoticed by Rajveer.

For some reason, Rajveer didn't like Amardeep Huda asking about Naina. But being professional, he had no choice than to introduce Naina.

"She is MY secretory, Naina"

replies Rajveer emphasizing on "my"

"Mujhe nahi pata tha Mr. Shekhawat ke aap ke office mein itne khoobsurat log kaam karte hain"

says Mr. Huda still staring at Naina with such a dirty look. Rajveer knows Mr. Huda's intensions are not good at all. A ping of jealousy urges through Rajveer.

And before Rajveer could say anything, Amardeep Huda has already walked towards Naina. Reaching her and Alekh, he extends his hand towards Naina.

"Hi Naina, I am Amadeep Huda, Mr. Mithal's business partner, but you can call me Huda!"

he says in such a flirtatious tone that it doesn't just irritate Rajveer, who is listening to all this, but Alekh as well.

For some reason, Naina fails to see the real face of Huda. She extends her hand to shake it, but before she shakes his hand, she looks towards Rajveer, who is already staring at her.

Her eyes asks him for the permission to shake hands with Huda. Naina gets surprised at her own thoughts. What the hell? She doesn't need anyone's permission.

Looking back towards Huda, she shakes his hand smiling.

"Nice to meet you Huda"

she says with a smile.

Huda!!! She called him Huda instead of Mr. Huda, thinks Rajveer as his eyes blazes with anger.

When done, Naina tries to take her hand out of Huda's grip, but Huda tightens it even more. This makes Naina a bit uncomfortable.

As Rajveer observes this, not being able to stop himself anymore, he walks towards Naina and Huda. Reaching them, he glares at Naina.

"Mr. Huda, the dinner is ready. Let's go"

says Rajveer as his gaze is fixed on Naina's hand which is in Huda's grip. Hearing this, Huda immediately leaves Naina's hand. Naina takes a deep breath. Due to some reason, she didn't like what Huda did, but decides to ignore it.

Huda leaves from there along with Alekh. As Naina takes a step forward, Rajveer immediately holds her wrist, pulling her closer to him with a jerk.

"Mr. Amardeep Huda hai uska naam, Huda nahi. Learn to be professional Ms. Ahluwalia"

says Rajveer. His words conveys his jealousy perfectly well which Naina doesn't understand. Naina's heart skips a beat. She thinks he is taunting her again.

She stares him in his eyes directly.

"Hath choriye mera"

she orders him with anger

Not having left with any choice, Rajveer leaves her wrist with a jerk.

"Woh toh mein pehle hi chor chuka hoon"

he replies immediately with such a cold tone that it almost makes Naina to cry, but she controls it.

She immediately rushes towards where the food is being served and stands by Alekh.

Mr. Mithal is the first one to look at the food. He gets surprised on finding all the dishes which are completely Indian, whereas Mr. Mithal was told that the menu is Italian.

"Ye sab kya hai Mr. Shekhawat? Butter chicken, Samosas, Naan, or ye baki sab?"

says Mr. Mithal looking towards Rajveer.

This diverts Rajveer's attention. Rajveer gets shocked on finding the menu to be Indian. The entire food is Indian which includes Pani Puri, Kheer, Biryani and all the other dishes.

"I'm so sorry Mr. Mithal, please give me a moment"

says Rajveer

This was Naina's responsibility and again, she messed it up. Rajveer goes towards Maya and asks her to do something.

Smirking, Maya says she will arrange everything and he shouldn't worry.

Rajveer asks everyone to hit the dance floor as there was some issue with the dinner and it will be fixed soon.

"You won't be spared for this Ms. Naina Singh Ahluwalia. You'll have to answer today."

mumbles Rajveer under his breath while anger is evident in his eyes.

Naina is unaware of this as she has just left for the washroom right before the dinner opened.

As she comes out, she gets surprised on finding everyone dancing. She looks around and her heart skips a beat as she finds Rajveer staring at her sternly. This causes Naina to lower her gaze and a shiver goes down her spine.

She decides to stand in a corner with Alekh. As soon as she takes a step, just then, she is immediately pulled by Rajveer on the dance floor.

Chapter 13


Pulling her to him, Rajveer takes her in a proper dance position as he stares in her eyes. His eyes conveys nothing but anger, which she fails to understand.

Sajde mein yun hi jhukta hoon
Tum pe hi aa ke rukta hoon
Kya yeh sab ko hota hai

"Ye kya badtameezi hai sir?"

she questions him out of anger as she tries to distance herself away from him.

Knowing she would do something like this, he immediately pulls her close by her waist and again, stands in a dance position.

"Mein badtameezi kar raha hoon? Or jo tumne kia hai wo badtameezi nahi hai?"

he utters sternly but keeps his voice low for other to not hear.

Hum ko kya lena hai sab se
Tum se hi sab batein ab se
Ban gaye ho tum meri dua

Swaying with the music, they keep staring in each other's eyes. Pushing her out a bit, he pulls her back in his embrace as they maintain the eye-contact.

"But maine kiya kya?"

she questions him out of surprise. For this party, she made sure everything is perfect and still, he is not happy.

Khuda Jaane ke mein fida hun
Khuda Jaane mein mit gaya
Khuda jaane yeh kyun huwa hai
Ke ban gaye ho tum mere khuda

As they keep swaying with the music, spinning her around, he pulls her back, closer to him.

"Maine tumhe specially kaha tha ke food Italian hona chahiye but phir bhi tumne Indian order kiya"

he tells her sternly, staring in her eyes.

Tu kahe to tere hi kadam ke
main nishanon pe
Chalun rukun ishaare pe

They stare at each other in silence, swaying with the music. Their closeness is giving shivers down both of their spine, but they choose to ignore it. By now, Naina is confused as hell. She, herself, ordered Italian, but then how did the menu change?

Tu kahe tho khwabon ka bana ke
Main bahana sa
Mila karu sirhaane pe

It must be Maya, she thinks

"Sir, maine Italian hi order kiya tha"

she replies, by every passing second, her voice turns into a whisper and she is having a hard time controlling her tears.

This statement of Naina fuels Rajveer's anger all the more. He begins picking up his speed while he dances with her. It tells Naina how frustrated he is feeling.

Tum se dil ki baatein seekhi
Tum se hi yeh raahe seekhi
Tum pe marr ke mein toh
Jjee gaya

Again spinning her around, he pulls her closer harshly and ends up doing a dip.

Khuda Jaane ke mein fida hun
Khuda Jaane mein mit gaya
Khuda jaane yeh kyun huwa hai
Ke ban gaye ho tum mere khuda

"Or kitna jhoot bologi Naina? Kyun meri har baat na manna tumhari adat si bann gayi hai?"

he questions her sternly, staring in her eyes angrily while they both stay in that dance position.

Naina has had enough. She isn't able to control herself any longer. From day one, she is trying to work with full honesty, and still, he blames everything on her.

Tears starts to flow down her eyes at his insults. Staring in his eyes, she grabs onto his shoulders to get herself to stand back up straight from the dip position.

They share an eye contact before Naina pushes him off with a jerk, leading Rajveer to stumble and look at her in utter shock.

Fresh tears starts to take place in her eyes. She points her index finger towards him.

"Mein aapki koi baat nahi sunti? Office ke pehle din se koshish kar rahi hoon ke apna kaam achay se karoon or aapko shikayat ka koi mauka na doon. Lekin mein jo kuch bhi kar loon, aap phir bhi us mein meri hi galti nikaleinge. Adat ban gayi hai aapki mujhe galat samajhna"

Naina shouts back at Rajveer

This makes everyone else to stop and look towards Rajveer and Naina. By now, everyone present there are staring at these two.

Rajveer is staring at Naina. His eyes turns soft by her words and after seeing her tears. He thinks about what she has just said. She is right. Since day one, she is trying her best, but something happens that he cannot help but yell at her. Maybe, someone is creating misunderstandings between them. He decides to find out later who the person is.

Sure they have personal issues but as far as he knows her, she will not bring their personal issues between their professional life. She will never do any unfairness with her work.

As he sees her leaving from the dance floor, his heart breaks. He doesn't stop her as he knows she wants to be alone at this moment.

Standing in a corner, Alekh has been observing all this silently while standing in another corner, Maya has been smirking constantly. She has finally succeeded in creating misunderstandings between Rajveer and Naina.

In tears, Naina runs towards a corner and sits on an empty chair, constantly crying. She feels someone's hand on her shoulder. She looks up to see and finds Alekh there.

She quickly wipes her tears away.

"Aray Alekh tum?"

she says, avoids looking at him.

With a sympathetic look, he sits on the chair right next to her.

"Naina, tumhare or Rajveer sir ke beech koi personal problem hai kya?"

he questions her out of concern.

Naina gets surprised at his words. Of course she yelled at Rajveer in front of everyone, but that doesn't tell anyone about their personal issues, then, how did Alekh find out if she has some personal issues with him?

"Nahi...nahi toh Alekh, aisi toh koi baat nahi hai"

replies Naina stammering

Alekh can clearly tell that she is lying. He gets concerned for her, but if she doesn't want to share, he will not force her.

He gets her to turn towards him and makes her to look in his eyes.

"Dekho Naina, agar tum abhi nahi batana chahti toh koi baat nahi but just remember that I'll always be there to listen!"

Alekh tells her with such a sugar coated tone and a warm smile.

This swells Naina's heart and it makes her to smile. She feels so connected to Alekh in a way.

"Thanks Alekh!"

she replies.

It's not like she doesn't trust him, in fact, he is the only one she trusts out of all the staff members, but she isn't in a condition to share anything with him at this moment. She needs some time.

Giving her a pat on the shoulder, Alekh leaves. Naina feels so relieved just by speaking few words with him.

Italian food arrives soon, which is ordered by Maya. Rajveer and Mr. Mithal discusses few things about their new project. Naina just remains sitting in a corner and waits for the party to finish. Once in a while, Rajveer glances at her from the corner of his eyes.

Soon, the party finishes and everyone gets ready to leave.

Outside the hotel, Naina waits for a taxi. Since her car broke down two days back, it's still in a mechanic shop.

Suddenly, she sees a car stopping in front of her. She sees Huda coming out.

"Aray Naina tum?"

questions Huda in his same flirtatious way.

She smiles at him.

"Aray Mr. Huda aap? Haan wo I am just waiting for a taxi"

she explains

He walks towards her and stands close to her. This makes her uncomfortable but she chooses to ignore it.

"Please don't call me Mr. Huda. Or mujhe 'aap' bulana band karo, you can call me 'tum'. Just call me Huda, not Mr. Huda and come, I'll drop you home!"

Huda offers her a ride which Naina hesitates at first, but then agrees later. She fails to see Huda's true colours.

Huda opens the door for her and she sits. Soon, they drive away.

This whole scene is witnessed by Rajveer who by now is boiling in anger. He cane here to speak to Naina about the misunderstandings, but as soon as he saw Naina and Huda together, he has forgotten about talking to her and jealousy in clearly visible on his face.

He knows he shouldn't feel jealous, but he can't help it and can't deny the fact that he is still in love with her. And what makes Rajveer more angry is, Naina is failing to see Huda's true colours. She doesn't realise that he ia not a good guy for her.

Taking his phone out, he makes a call.

"Mr. Mithal, I want Mr. Amardeep Huda out of this project"

saying that, he hangs up.

"I will not let that Huda take advantage of you Naina. Agar mujhe tumhe us se door bhi rakhna pade toh mein woh bhi karunga"

he mumbles under his breath before he sits in his car and decides to follow Huda's car in order to make sure if he has dropped Naina home safely or not.
