At least it is not shown that she has blindly accepted Narrottam (his is the only name, I can't shorten 😊). She has accepted but as BD's son first and probbaly show it slowly.
As for the heir story, I seriously don't think the producers intend to show who is going to be Waaris of RS and LM. They will probably end it just like that. 1 they don't have time and 2nd, they r getting too filmy nowadays for any natural sequence. Or maybe they will leave Anami as the heir, who in turn to prove her mahaanta will say her two brothers have equal rights. Sorry gals, but I am totally irritated with Anami's char. this whole week. Showing her as too much crying. Anyway there is no TRP factor; wonder y they going for sea change in her.

HiJana, i am with you to share the same feelings. Anami was good to be a daring girl. Just because she wore lehenga, she turned out as fragile, delicate darling who was scared and stepped back the moment ahe saw the pistol in Sadha's hand. Has shw faced this without knowing sudha evil, we could have accepted some what thinking she got the shock of her life but nit after knowing that sudha infact carried out the crime and shifted the blame on Satrupa. That too when sudha had Satrupa at gun point, how could she not act? Is she the same Anami who faught teeth ans nails with goons at Banaras? Is she the same who dared to enter the burning house? If not, her apologies to Satrupa had no value.

Even with Narottam, i would have liked it if she had convinced him ro open up with the family ans seek the forgiveness than hiding the truth under the carpet. The guy was trying to come clean and she insisted that he should hide thw truth. True we know the say "don't reveal the bitter truth, if it helps" but till his last breath, he will carry that guilt and he will never be himself 8n front of that mother who lost her son. We know Vatsalya ia not dead and will return, so no guilt but what if he was really dead?

Coming to the love story, I would love it that Adhi is getting transferred and moving out. She has long way to go, she needs to complete her education and be able to shoulder the responsibility she promised to take feom her dadaji. Till then i prefer them to stay apart and concentrate on theie career and studies. There is a whole life ahead of her to romance but not while she is a girl. So whoever bought that promotion to daroga, I appreciate their efforts. ( it could be either Dheeru or Satrupa).

I really don't want a DDLJ in this show while she is too much of a child than old enough to handle love and relationship. I prefer her to wish him good luxk ans of course a promise from him to visit as much as possible with his renewed duty.

Yes Jaya. But I mentioned DDLJ sequence with a pinch of salt. Even I'd prefer the girl shown as shouldering responsibilities b4 love story. Actually I'd mentioned this long back. But the ridiculousness with which some of the scenes r being aired made me say that. And, TBH, I'd envisaged this DDLJ scene between Sat, Anami & PP😆. I posted like that y'day morning. But now Adhi getting promotion for just roaming around with her, I thought makers might do it.

Actually, I feel, they might show the transfer and the parting in a dignified manner. It would b open ended and the last scene as Vats returning. That's what happened in EHT

Moreover, Anami was never shown as 1 having the girlish mentality or maturity of Tanya or even Poonam. See, even I'd prefer having a guy like Adhi, but in this story to forcefully bring in a love angle, ruined the plot.

We all do. Not the macho heroes, but the simple, subtle men who respect us for what we r and we r mostly blessed to have one like that.😊

Sorry guys for not being more active on forum as some times i used to feel i might douse the enthusiasm in you all by making my views visible as i can't take bashing one character for some mistake done ages ago. Even today we are not sure about vikramaditya singh accepting a girl as his heir if Satrupa had retained Anami with her and handed over vatsalya. Who knows, the child would have had a fatal fall, or suffocated the milk or pulls the cloth on the nose or critically ill and succumbed? I can't believe the family had the men with only Y chromosomes for 7 generation and only Baldev was more fertile to have both X and Y chromosomes. Satrupa would have known the fact if she retained the girl child, she will end up having no child. That could be the reason she had to part with girl child though it was younger than boy child by 5 Minutes.

Anami would have survived from elimination as an embryo because she was residing with a male child.

Sorry once again if I bored you all with my nonsense post.

Thanks for bearing with me whenever i made some posts and fair enough to acknowledge that. Hope to meet some time, some where. This is the 3rd forum me ans shruti have shared and hopefully will collide again in some other forum.

@jaya that is why past was important. Was female infanticide involved in that family. Did Satrupa knew it and gave away the girl child. Just like you I also cant believe 7 generations there were no girls in that family.

They talk about they are unable to do Shakthi pooja. What if it happens because of infanticide of baby girls in that family.

There were many angles that could have been explored, but show is closing so we cant tell anything.

In the beginning Viku is shown as not accepting Anami even after knowing who she is. And his bias against the third gender and effeminates.

Thats why he tried to anoint Pujan's son.

Suddenly he started developing affection for his grand daughter.

Satrupa could have known these biases.

What about those dead twins? Were they girls?

Jaya that point never crossed my mind honestly - I mean only male children. Now that u mentioned it probably yes female infanticide could have happened and as Shruthi said, because of the abruptness of the ending, the past is not shown and probably that's y Sat might have given her away. But at least, that could have been shown between Ma-Beti at least y'day, now that Anami is full of glycerine instead of the Lux ad and Alia Bhatt fangiri.

And, Jaya, don't think ur views r boring. We all enjoy each others views; for me that is important. Look I cannot fathom a romantic angle between the lead couple in this serial, yet, I respect those who love it. And others have respected my mocking of the same without ever telling me off. Else, I too, would never have been part of this discussions.

As for this Devi worship and in the same vein, female infanticide, it is happening all over India and now because of media coverage, we get to know of it even more. And it is prevalent in the matriarchal society as much as in Haryana or UP or Rajasthan. It's open in these places. I was born & brought up in Calcutta. They worship Kali or Durga, but the way men used to look at women was horrible. I'd anytime prefer a conservative place like Chennai (not so anymore it's becoming equally bad) to Bengal where they claim to be intellectuals but underneath have an undignified, uncouth way of treating women. Same in Assam (I've a friend who lived there). I will not go more into these. I've often discussed these with my husband and yes we've shared our knowledge when he said, it's prevalent in Kerala also.It's not female infanticide in these two states but the way men treat women.

And I think, it was Vidya who mentioned about girl infanticide in TN by writing a heart-wrenching story of a little boy who lost his sister after his g'mother came.

Our nation needs change - change in the way we look at women. And it can only happen from home. The way the men in the family treat not only their wives or daughters but also every other woman with respect.

Janas, how could Satrupa convey this message to her daughter who has taken a great liking ro her grand parents. The truth will break not only Anami but also the harmony of the family. The truth will make her daughter averse her dadagi and Satrupa can't bear it and also the separation from her daughter again.

Why to rekindle the cooling ash and invoke fire? I still strongly feel Narottam survived only because he was a male chid. Had it been a girl out of illegitimate courtship, no onw would havw even given shelter at LM.

Yeah, I think u r right there. But this girl is bearing a grudge against her mother which needs a proper answer. TBH, the other day reconciliation which I liked; I wanted it today or for that matter after Vats returns & Sat begs her not to go. It'd have been so poignant; so natural. True, I loved that voiceless communique, because it is that child's heart resonating with the mother's - it's how reactions happen and that's what I wanted and loved; no talking and no saying sorry. Another thing they goofed by bringing it ahead.

And about male domination, that prevails everywhere. But may be the extent differs. Even in Karnataka, we can see people wishing for male child but at least they don't mistreat daughter. I am live example. We are 4 sisters and the want of male child by my grand parents was so strong that i have 2 younger brothers. But never did we get any deferential treatment. My grand paa was the reason, i could complete engineering being a single girl in the class. He encouraged us to study and even suggested that we should self sufficient and financially independent and suggested my father to agree to send us to job if we are interested. But all he said was you will be your moral police and you should be responsible for the good or bad happens to you. Never gIve chance to others to poke fingers at you and your family.

I am lucky enough with my in laws as well. My father in law had taken an initiative to preach his son that he should have broad mins and not to think low about his wife and also lend shoulder wherever required as i was a working girl and i was the first working lady in the family. And the icing on the cake was when both my families agreed to our decision to not to have a second child after my daughter's birth. And my FIL has made a deposit for her education and not for wedding.
