I have always seen acting on 2 dimensions because of my English teacher in high school and my two communications profs, one in undergrad and the other in MBA. My profs always say that people judge you based on both your body language and your speech, but your body language has a 93% influence rate, while your speech only influences someone 7%. My English teacher would often say something similar whenever we were preparing Shakespearean plays for the mass populace. He would always say, concentrate on your body language. Even if you mess up the words, the audience will remember what your body language said.

Based on this I find that both Ankit and the new Daamo are good actors. Ankit has this subtle acting style that hits home and he has improved a lot. When he first entered I felt he was so out of place, especially because of that drunk acting scene he was supposed to do. Neither his body language nor his speech convinced me that he could act. But that has improved. Yesterday he and Anami were teasing/flirting with each other and it was subtle, but there. Ankit was relaxed, but there was some tension because he was worried for Anami and he showed that well. Yes his dialogue delivery is still kind of bland, but he's gotten a lot better. The new Daamo is a good actress as well. But the problem I have is that she isn't as convincing. The old actress had a presence, she was her own being, she stood apart from Satrupa yet together. This new Daamo almost seems submissive. It's because of the body language. If you watch her carefully, you'll notice that her shoulders are not erect, her hands are always clasped in front of her, her voice is soft, etc. She's a good actress, I just don't find she fits the role of Daamo well. The Daamo we've seen so far is Satrupa's shadow but also her equal, at least in her mind. So you'll see her standing straight, her hands will be clasped in front, but out of habit. Her voice was stronger, etc.

Simmi, Athene, chill. To each her own opinion. I am not against under age romance. Maybe earlier I felt weird, but I started accepting that. It can happen to anyone. And I am not talking of physical closeness. No way. I don't believe in that as much as I believe of the minds. My point is while enacting scenes with Anami, he seems a bit lost. I am not able to explain it properly. I am not questioning his abilities in other areas. He is improving. But if u r weak in something, one needs to concentrate on that to get it right. they do seem dignified, but ... well I can't explain it.
Athene, yes, even I saw Dheeru family y'day. I liked it. I only have skip AA scenes and that too hen they play that msic in the b'ground.
About, new Dhaamo. There is another factor and that she is new to all these guys. So it will take time for comfort factor. And that is y I said if we can give 6 months for Adhi, why not give her some time.

Janas don't worry. I'm not getting hyper or anything. I just was putting my opinion forth like you did. 😊 I do understand what you mean by "a bit lost". I feel like he's confused whether he should remain in character or whether he should be doing the eyelocks that SP loves so much. In the process he comes across confused, the scene comes across as almost forced, and you can't enjoy the scene. And I mean you in the holistic sense. I don't mean you particularly.

And I'm more than willing to give this new Daamo time. Ankit took time to develop into the role of Adhi and this new actress will take some time to develop into the character of Daamo and give it her own touch.

No, I didn't get u wrong. Don't worry. But let me tell u. I never am game for eyelocks. That's for Ekta Kapoor viewers. Yes u r right. He looks bland. With his sis, he looks ok

Ladoo spoke finally. He spoke about Jadugarni. If Satrupa developed one relation from the heart after Vatsalya, it's with Ladoo. And that relation spoke today.

Sometimes I wonder if the CVs are reading every comment here. They brought back the Ladoo track and explained that Ladoo doesn't remember anything. It makes sense. After being scared senseless, everyone has different forms of PTSD. Some people forget what caused them the stress, others get nightmares, and others get scared of slight touches or someone creeping up on them. Ladoo has experienced the whole range of PTSD symptoms.

The call comes and the relief you see on Adhiraj's face is palpable. His voice has the right amount of relief and respect for his senior. The scene also shows that Adhiraj and Dheeru don't share such a tight relation, but they do care for each other. The hug was distant, but at the same time, both were happy. Dheeru now has even stronger hatred for LM and Anami has now joined the mix. Adhiraj knows that Dheeru wants him to keep his distance from Anami, but Dheeru also knows that this won't be possible. Both know and it showed in the scene. But Dheeru is willing to do anything to keep Anami away from Adhiraj and that's why if Adhiraj won't listen, he'll go to Anami. And if Anami won't listen he'll take this up even farther.

Anami's excitement for Adhiraj has reached new levels. But somewhere this scene felt forced. Just to show a beautiful relationship between Gayatri and Anami they put this scene in and I didn't feel it was needed. They could have shown this same scene in so many other ways. Of course it is reminiscent of what Anami would do, but still.

It's unbelievable that Sudha has resorted to such lowly blackmailing. But with Sudha it has become evident that what she says or does is not everything. She is demanding an AC, but this is just the beginning. And Satrupa uses this blackmailing to find the recording. Does Satrupa really think that Sudha would leave the recording lying around her room like that?

That cake baking scene was sweet, but it also shows how inexperienced Anami is and in the future she'll make mistakes like that where she'll put in too much of something and then realize her own mistake while others will try to cover for it.

@Janas and Cute- IMO, Ankit has to play Adhi with restrain in romantic scenes, where as Mahima can express Anami fully. I think, he did splendidly as an officer falling for an young friendly girl.

He was natural in the blushing scenes. Over enthu during their physical closeness will make him a pervert, i know Adhi gets trolled for the under age romance. He did the balancing well.
He was adorable as awkward son, handling a naughty sis in the back ground y'day.

P.S- Am off packing for a trip, will have to take rain check on haters if they are jumping in here.😆

There were moments were I thanked makers for choosing Ankit over some OTT actors and expressed it in the MiRaj AT.His subtility, innocent blushing, nervousness,Akwardness has effected Adhiraj in a positive way.But there were moments were I couldn't enjoy the scene because of his blandness..like the MiRaj scene were Anami bids bye to Adhiraj before leaving LM..and I remember one of the biggest MiRaj shipper in this forum @AngelSonali made a post regarding the same saying she couldn't enjoy because Ankit failed to emote well..I badly wanted to agree to her but I as a typical fan girl uss fact or uss post ko nazar andaz kar diya..But today after reading Jana's post it made me realize it's 6months and we have given him enough time to improve and the guy need to buck up..and you know Simi Adhiraj/Ankit is my favourite both on-screen and Of-screen(on-screen due to the character and Of-screen due to Ankits personality) and it's really hard for me to admit it openly.. having said that there were multiple nice scenes from his side like yesterdays flirty phone call..he done a fantastic job..and the result was even people who are not into MiRaj started to warm up to them..And I already said Ankit is very convincing as a CBI officer..his body language, attitude everything is high notch.I have only seen actor Mammootty(malayali actor) playing this role as convincing as Ankit. I like Siddharth Malhotra but I have no qualm in accepting he is a nonactor. But that's not the case with Ankit. He has the caliber he only need to improve his skills.

PS: dnt run away lady😆..its good when discussion happens between 2 fangirls as we already know both are ultimately the well-wishers of the actor.

Cute, when all u guys can bear my sometimes ludicrous comments, nobody would mind ur thoughts. And (I think it was u only who wrote y'day) , about teenage behaviour. I forgot what it was to be like a teen, but I am starting to accept things especially at home thanks to the way they r showing Anami and the other 2 girls. Of screen, NS is more fun and childish than all these. I saw a RKC behind the scene today and said this.
Yes, Athene, the cake scene bonding seemed forced. But I want at least this one relation to be without motive in LM.
I got it. The makers showed selective amnesia which seems perfectly logical. U may be right in that they do read all these posts. I loved that bonding especially Laddoo's - absolutely unconditional. And yes, Anami was very correct in pointing to Sat, it was PP's upbringing. She should start realising. And Gayatri also pointed out to Sat that all innocents will not be like Laddoo. Bang on. But what Vikku said was the most apt. True way of punishing a person is by forgiving him/her. They ought to realise by themselves their mistakes. I hope thiese r precursors for Sat to realise that all r not evil and u need not always use force or bog people down to get ur way. Y'day Anami said by calmness u get things done; today this. These r points which we should imbibe in our daily life as much.
Enough seriousness. So Sudha ji wants AC in winter. Must have come from a cold country 😉.
And I think once the actual Chakravyuh serial is over, we will be having a Romeo Juliet series (AA and their dads). The way Dheeru talked in the precap; I can only visualise between Dheeru and BD. Not Sat. And I wonder if Sat herself will help them elope? 😆.
Seriously, I wonder whom Dheeru was implying? Gayatri or BD?

Nice and unexpected discussion about Sivaji Ganesan. 😃
I was all of 8 or 9 years old when we were watching Thiruvilaiyadal with a group of families on a video cassette someone had carried from India and converted to US standard. It was not that easy to get movies when I was a child. Anyway, I was just starting Bharanatyam and with all the confidence of a child I announced during the Tandav in Thirvilaiyadal "Evarukku adave theriyala,(this man can't dance)". I managed to stun a whole group of adults who grew up thinking Shivaji was the greatest actor. I still think so as an adult. 😛. In fact several places in Thriuvilaiyadal he overacts for me (in the fisherman avtar). Also in Thillana Mohanambhal, as Karnan. I always found him unrealistic and exaggerated, over acting ki dukhaan for me . Still do in his older movies. I like him in movies like "Mudhal Mariyadhai" and "Devar Magan" where he is more realistic I feel.

Sivaji is also considered one of the greatest actors of India certainly but I have never liked him that much. I prefer people like Mammooty and Kamal who are more subtle for my taste.

I started liking Adhiraj little by little. I was dead against the romance, Anami is 17. But the way Adhiraj is characterized, he is no AYM. I am really tired of callous, obnoxious, annoying AYM who have no clue how to treat a woman, with a chip on their shoulder and their past is used to justify their jerkish actions especially in treating the heroine. But allegedly they love them so much. 🤔. Not in my world.

Adhiraj has a tough past too. But he is a decent, kind guy who has not once taken advantage of Anami. Believe me I would have been worse than Satrupa if he had misbehaved with Anami with the push-pull. I don't like push-pull romance and I will certainly not be quiet if an older guy behaves like that with a minor. A man with a past can be a decent guy, not a mahaan type. But just a nice guy, quite boring and shy. Tongue tied but with a sense of responsibility. Who woos with food. A guy who is a protector. Who does not lock a girl for protection, but accompanies her on her journey. Gives her gur paratha when she foolishly eats mirchi because she wants to prove a point. A guy with whom sitting on a rope cot in the middle of nowhere and drinking chai from a matka will be way better than all the fancy tea shops and coffee houses.

I have gone on many dates to fancy places. In many cases the place and food was better than the company. Believe me I am very sincere when I say I will gladly sit on a rope cot in rural India drinking chai from a matka with a man like Adhi and be very happy. Adhi is a marrying kind of man, a complex man but someone who will be with you. I really like how they have characterized Adhi and I will say Ankit because he is new is bringing a sense of reality in the romance. He is shy, awkward really clueless sometimes. He has no game. He is sincere in his actions. Someone with years of acting experience will not have this innocence in romance. I love that about Adhi and Ankit.

A generation of tamilians adulate Sivagami Ganesan. If you thought Thiruvilayadal Thandavam was terrible then watch paatum Bharathamum where he competes with Jayalalitha who was a trained classical dancer. Some roles I did watch for its comic effect and mudhal mariyadhai I have watched several times.
I used to be a die hard Kamal fan and watch all his movies as a teenager.i then began to see the narcisinarci streak in him and now cannot watch his movies

Shivaji Ganesan belonged to an era of stage actors becoming movie actors and voice throw and histrionics was what set them apart.

Though in present day actors people think Vikram acts well and I have acted with him in college plays I feel that he is a changed performer and maybe that is what movies demand.

Interesting discussion Jana's and mangothyme.

You acted with Vikram.😲 Ayo, Engeyo Poitinga ⭐️. Sorry for the Tamil. I don't know how to translate that bit. My favorite, but that may be because I like his looks too. 😳 .

Agree about Kamal. He has become arrogant now and it shows in his movies too. Too Preachy.

I found NTR and Muthraman in the Karna movie to be normal. NTR especially as Krishna is a signature role right ? I enjoyed him. Sivaji's enunciation is excellent but his histrionics remind me of watching Kathakali dancers with the exaggerated facial movements especially eyes.

As for the Jayalalitha and Sivaji dance movie, are they kidding me ? 👎🏼

How is this acceptable ? He is just terrible. He is famous for imitating Vidwans playing instruments I know but dance ? I can only come up with Netri Kannai thiranthalum Kutram Kutrame only for this. 😆

Nice discussion. Thanks
