Usha Ranganathan...maatu Pongal is on the third day...kannu is a typical brahmin custom and is not observed by other communities.

Bhogi was yesterday and I hear pollution levels in Chennai was high due to burning especially rubber.

A very good description of the festival. Thanks usha and vidya. In Kerala I have seen only pongal celebrated with sweet dish vada and sugarcane. Of course beautiful rangoli's are drawn. I have heard abt mattu pongal.

Was reading all ur posts in this thread and others at leisure as well going thru' some old episodes of RKC. One thing came to my mind. Sat as a mother is an enigma. I mean I understand her character is grey; we all r when it comes to our children. But I feel, the general population will not cross the Lakshman Rakha which Sat does at times. I don't think we'd literally blackmail parents to give away their own child to suit our whims and fancies; we might hide a Ladoo (though it sounds very filmy, but there will be a time when we'd tell the truth); we might slap a Poonam to tell the truth or threaten her,but wouldn't go to the extreme of torturing a girl who is our daughter's age. I am talking of grey characters not white ones. It points out to full fledged extremistan. In the same instance there is that Durga Puja episode, where she threatens Kamini of how she'd would have reacted with her nephew. Or for that matter her interactions with Ladoo. There r instances where she goes to protect the boy. So what is this character? Is it one which for want of love which she is sadly deprived of, that borders on madness when it comes to her child. More than love, it seems as possession; there was one episode in which it was shown beautifully; I think Simmi had pointed it as some possessive lover 😃. Normal mothers will be selfish, but I don't think anyone in their right frame of mind will indulge in such erratic behaviour. So in a way Sat also is mad; just like Sudha. I think someone tweeted or wrote that Baldev Bechara phas gaya in donon ke beech mein. In fact a third woman in his life also is as brash - Anami. The only sane woman in his life seems to be Gayatri until, we get to see her past.

Coming back, I hope the writers do justice to this character of Sat by bringing up her past; whether she had a royal bearing and never got rejected until after marriage or the vicissitudes of life has made her what she is. And if and definitely I also hope transformation occurs for good, let it be rational not a sudden change of heart. She should be shown the truth by someone like PP (Lubina I believe can do justice to that). And she should be brought down for her wrongs because even though Poonam helped Anami, she had no right to behave in such a inhuman way against anyone especially a minor. As for NS carrying the role, it is brilliant. No words to describe it.

One other thing, many of u said Dhammo will think of herself first unlike Poonam, but it needs to be seen. In one episode, she had mentioned that the time had come to repay Sat's debts. Of course it'd be interesting to see if she is loyal or negative. If loyal, she will take the bullet; if not she will pull down Sat.

By the way today one article said that anami come to l.m for revenge 😭🥱. They mentioned about new promo.i don't seen it !and from some of.s.pics it seem anami and ladoo both r back in l.m and they are in white cloth😲. So may be anami fake p.p and s.p's deth and come with ladoo for revenge !😡 or ye ladoo ka memory loss ho Gaya he 😡😡. Look like anami -suda love story again start.🥱

Some thoughts after today's epi. It seems the explosives were kept at the behest of Sat (as she is not denying doing it she did not order the explosion. She got caught in her wrongdoing just like after the Ladoo episode.

Second, if Anami is coming back to take revenge on Sat, how would she do it? She is as impulsive but with much less experience and so finesse in handling. So if she comes and threatens, nothing is going to come of it. And if PP has accompanied her, Sat will again bully her. It actually doesn't make sense. And assuming everyone accepts all these, it would only mean that the Ma-Beti drama is going to go on for some more time. We'd hardly see progress the way we expect it. There is only one way to threaten Sat. Anami has to amputate herself (given her emotional outbursts and the filmy style this serial is going on now - I mean today's dance and that Hom). Telling her that she will cut herself off like that in front of Sat. From today's epi and precap, I think that is the only way Sat's possessive behaviour can mellow down. None of the LM people r rebuking her despite blaming her.

The best scene I liked today's was Narrottam's. Coming of an age and getting aware of his mother's true intent was very well portrayed by him. Irony - both the children of Baldev are getting to hate their biological mothers.

And Pujan has become a mere caricature now - just standing without much dialogues. And where r his wife and son? They r also missing like Ila.

And Adhiraj had totally left his job; and just going on lending support to Anami and protecting her. Already Anami's college and Laddoo's school r in hol mode; now CBI for Adhi is also in hol mode. And would he never talk to his sister or father?

It seems like writers have decided on Beti's revenge saga than a progress in developing the characters. I was hoping they'd show some of the past and Baldev-Dheeru scenes and Ahi's family's past with redemption for Sat and growing up of Anami.

1 other oint is PP is accompanying Anami probably to LM. If she does to slap Sat, that would be fine; otherwise I see no meaning in that scene.

I am not saying it was a bad episode; it was nice. But I am confused as to how long they will go in loops.

I'm personally not enjoying this sudden change in the story. If they're trying to get this story run forever, then they have made the perfect track, but if this is the way the story is supposed to go forward, then I don't get it.

Adhiraj has gone from CBI officer to lovelorn ML within the matter of a week. What happened to the CBI officer, Dheeru's son, and a revenge-driven man?

Anami has become this revenge-driven, mindless FL within the matter of a week. What about Vatsalya's dream? What about giving it back to Satrupa? What about Ladoo? What about Narottam and Sudha's justice?

Satrupa has gone from grey to completely negative. I can't relate to her any longer. She's become obsessed about getting Anami back by hook or by crook. And if all else fails she's threatening Kaali Maa.

Pujan is lost. The man who would try to take advantage of this situation has completely become a mute spectator.

The LM fam is blaming Satrupa, but not even doing anything else about it. Seriously?

The only positive here right now is Narottam. He has gone from boy to man. He has gone from hate to love. He has completely turned on Sudha now. If anything I see him taking Anami on the right path now. Away from LM for sure, but at least on the right path.

P.S. I am totally in love with Narottam. Like total fida. ❤️

I have not been watching the show for quite some time now. Just come here to read the updates and was surprised to read that Satrupa has turned negative instead of grey that she was ...What does she do to Poonam ? And was it Satrupa who ordered the explosives to be put and not Sudha ?

what stuck me today was how Sat & Sudha's children disowned them.

Sudha is unabashed.Narrotam left the door half open and it swung.He's not there yet.
These two women will help each other in their own ironic ways😆 I'm sure Sudha 's video will help Anami to see SAt's non-involvement in the blast, just as she silenced Purushottam and buried her hand in kidnapping.

Anami sought Bolenath's blessing before starting on her revenge plan, divine justice will prevail.Interestingly SAt was appealing to the same god.

Glad to see Pujan & BD, tho' these two hardly get anything to say now days, they add value.

Mahima is a great actor but dance is not her forte, i wish they just made her practice her kalaripayatu instead of the Tandav.Loved the music. Adhi officially become her emotional anchor/mentor.👍🏼

Is he not gonna report the bomb blast and the murder?😲

Sudha has no feelings Simran. That's the problem. She doesn't care that Narottam hates her. She wants her position and Narottam is secondary to her whole plan. She makes it seem like it's about Narottam, but it isn't.

That one door being slammed was symbolic. In a way Sudha had two doors open to her entry into LM: Narottam and Anami. Today she lost one door: Narottam. The day she loses Anami will be the day she is encaged again. That's the day she'll go mental or die.

Adhiraj is no longer a CBI officer in any way. He's just got the title. That's it. The first step for any proper CBI officer would have been to report the bomb blast and fire. There should have been a proper investigation, but nothing. Not only that but he's forgotten all about Ladoo's kidnapping case as well. Why isn't anyone trying to talk to Ladoo or ask him what actually happened? Why didn't anyone tell PP and SP about Ladoo's kidnapping?
