@simran the govardhan lifting episode of Krishna Leela for me is the classic example of him telling the world who should be worshipped. Who is God.
Not the one who expects to be worshipped and if not worshipped curses or send wraths to his devotees. That is not being a deva
Worship is for that person who provides you everything without expecting anything in return, worship is for that person who owns the responsiblity for his actions and stands in front protecting the people who listened to him.
Govardhan is worshipped because of former cause and krishna is worshipped because he takes the responsibility of his actions and face Indra or the so called deva heads on as a human lifting the Govardhan and protecting the Gokulvasis. He does the same later when he accepts the curse of Gandhari standing in front protecting the Pandavas, the so called mother who pushed her fault of not guiding her children properly to him.
A human can defeat a God if the God has ego and expects to be worshipped. That aspect takes down the power of deva or God. Dont be self proclaimed Gods by being judgemental and telling curses, a human can easily surpass you is the message of Krishnavatar especially the govardhan lifting episode. Same thing happens in Ramavatar in a different way which need lot of explanation.
It is said Deva and asura resides within us, if you allow your ego to rule, even if you are a deva you will be humbled, something that happens to hypocrites most of whom are self proclaimed God/Goddess. I am mother so whatever I say is right, I am father whatever I say is right, I am teacher whatever I say is right. No we all are humans first. We will do mistakes. If we can accept this one thing about us this world will be a better place. Sometimes our children can also teach us certain things.
